Corin Talmaar was Born on the Mid-Rim world of Erith in 9 BBY. His Father, Neron Talmaar, Had been first a member of the Erithian Security Forces, then a Commodore in the Republic Navy During the Clone Wars, and then a Vice-Admiral during the Empire. Corin's childhood was filled with discipline and training; Neron wished to have his son follow in his footsteps as a naval officer. Such hopes were dashed at the Battle of Endor in 4 ABY; with the death of the Emperor and Darth Vader, Neron saw no point in sending his son to the academy as the Rebel Alliance was gaining more and more territory as time passed, eventually culminating in the Battle of Jakku. Resolving to fight to the end, Neron sent Corin to his old friend Rae Sloane with the instructions to help him be better than him and to one day transform him into the kind of leader the empire deserved. Losing his father at 14 had an effect on the young Corin who now saw Grand Admiral Sloane as a mother figure. Taking advantage of this, Sloane instilled in the officer in training with a sense of honor and duty, but also constantly reminding him that not everyone catered to honor and had to be dealt with in other ways. In other words, Corin was given lessons in Pragmatic Honor. Corin was also taught naval tactics and strategy and showed himself to be quite gifted; Ironically however, it was generally agreed that Corin, despite the best efforts of Sloane and his other instructors, was a terrible fighter pilot. It was during these training years that Corin began a rivalry with Armitage Hux, a rivalry that would intensify as time went on and would evolve into absolute hatred for one another. In 19ABY, Corin was made the youngest Admiral in the short history of the First Order; it proved to be a wise decision as Corin would distinguish himself crushing pirates and smugglers throughout the Unknown Regions and made contact with the Chiss species. Despite the First Order inheriting the Old Empire's humanocentric biases, Corin secretly kept contact with the Chiss, they would be helpful in the years to come. Now as Rae Sloane's health is fading, Corin races back to the Mega-Class Dreadnought Supremacy to take his place in the Junta of the First Order and set about to change the path of his faction.
