Warning: Traveling in Dangerous Mountains, Vilonece and Mention of Black Magic
Summary: Arianna encounters Madame Canardist and Vigor the Visionary; Vigor puts a curse on Arianna just before she and her friends cross a perilous mountain pass.
Arianna stands in front of an oak tree with green leaves holding a golden telescope. Madame Canardist approaches her with Vigor. "Hi!" Arianna greets her. That's mine! Madame Canardist thinks when she sees her telescope.
"That's my telescope!" Madame Canardist says. Umm… Arianna thinks.
"This was a birthday present from Rapunzel." Arianna replies.
"That was a gift from my father.". She must be mixed up.
"Look, you must be mixed up with a similar telescope that looked like this. Rapunzel brought this for me from the Coronan market for my last birthday. The Coronan market gets shipments from Koto.".
"You're lying! Vigor is cursing you with bad luck!". Crap! Arianna thinks.
Arianna goes back to the caravan with a nervous expression. Rapunzel runs over.
"What's wrong?! Are you hurt? Do you not feel good?" Rapunzel asks her.
"I got cursed with bad luck by Vigor." Arianna explains.
Oh. Rapunzel thinks.
Hook Foot tosses a book with a blue cover with a black rose design on it. "Here, Ari, brew a potion from this book." He tells her. That's Sapoiran! She thinks.
"I can't brew that! That's Sapoiran! Those are our enemies!".
Lance and he go into the caravan. They see a big wooden chest with a golden lining. Lance opens it and sees golden skulls, four-leaf clovers, and hearts. They put them on.
Varian, Natalia, Sara, Catalina, and Kiera go inside a room with aqua walls with pink dolphins, an aqua bed with a gray dolphin stuffed animal on it, and an aqua writing desk. Natalia gets out of her wheelchair and goes under it. Varian, Sara, Catalina, and Kiera go under the bed.
Umm... Everyone's acting crazy. Arianna thinks. "Listen, Anna, curses aren't real. You have to believe in yourself." Eugene tells her as he puts a hand on her shoulder.
They arrive at a steep, gray rock mountain pass. "Okay, we aren't cursed. We just have to go around a boulder, turn right at a white rock wall, and turn left at a white grave…" Rapunzel reads. Great. We have to go by a grave. Arianna thinks. She smiles.
Eugene walks into the caravan. Where's Arianna? He wonders. Cassandra hears footsteps. Intruder! She thinks. She punches his face with her right hand. She punches his face with her left hand. He faceplants. She kicks him. She looks at him. Eugene? She thinks. "What are you doing here?" She asks him.
"Looking for your mom. Have you seen her?" He replies.
"No.".
"Thanks. You are absolutely no help at all.".
The caravan goes up the mountain on a steep pass. Arianna, Rapunzel, and Eugene sit in front. The caravan is at the bottom of a gray, rocky mountain.
"Everyone ready?" Arianna asks. They nod.
They go up the mountain. They go around a gray boulder. The caravan almost goes off the cliff. Everybody cringes in fear. They go further up. They pass a white rock wall. They go further up. They pass a white grave. Arianna looks closer. Freda Zolpha 1037-1074 was crushed by a boulder crossing the pass. It reads. She was my age! She thinks. She shivers.
The caravan arrives at a grassy meadow. They get out. A rainbow is in the sky. Arianna spins and smiles.
At night, Arianna's kneeling on a grassy hill looking through her telescope. The sky is dark pink and purple. She sees a wall of pink and white dusk. Rapunzel comes up. Everyone else stands beside the caravan.
"Mom, any luck?" Rapunzel asks Arianna. Arianna looks at her.
"Yeah, I can see the edge of the Milky Way!" Arianna exclaims. That's bad luck. Hook Foot thinks.
"That's bad luck." He announces.
"HOOK FOOT!" Everyone else yells.
Author's Note: I switched the role of Rapunzel with Arianna because I thought that would be a nice callback to season one when Rapunzel gave Arianna the telescope for her birthday! (By the way, seeing the edge of the Milky Way while you're stargazing being bad luck isn't an actual thing, I just made that up for a silly ending!).
