"Who's that, and why's she hugging Rockie, I thought Gamora was his girlfriend." Casey asked yawning.
"She is, ohhh this is Lylla Otter, my friend, she's gonna be hanging out with us, I told mom and dad plus Lylla's coll with it, you were out doing you know." Rocket told her fixing her some Groot Morning pancakes that were in the fridge, warming them on the stove, seeing Casey getting the condiments she used for Groot Morning pancakes not sure what to make of Lylla biting her tongue trying to process this but it was tol early
Lylla was curious about the female-cub as she was cute but noticed she was quiet about something not realising Casey was anxious about her becoming part of the family, despite the cub getting messy making Rocket chuckle at her antics and it was Saturday so Casey was allowed to stay up on Friday and Saturday nights but she'd been hanging out with Yoko giggling, playing and talking giving her an idea hearing her mom coming downstairs along with Gamora smirking seeing Casey, Lylla and Rocket were up only she saw the look on Casey's furry face guessing she had just found out about Lylla understanding alomg with Jupiter.
I guess she's not used to new people or animals in her life, but maybe Jupiter and I can help her adjust to Lylla being part of our furboy's life but at least she's eating some of his famous Groot Morning pancakes but Herbert's in his lab working on science things.
"Groot Morning mommy, Aunt Gamora." Casey said with Nutella on her furry lip, making Jupiter giggle.
"Groot Morning honey and see you met Lylla," Jupiter told her seeing her nodding being quiet again but felt her mom stroke behind her furry lil ear which helped when her lil cub was anxious whispering something soothing into her ear which Rocket guessed was a calmness affirmation realising he should've told her about Lylla knowing this was a big change and change was very hard for her sighing scratching behind his ear seeing Casey putting her dishes in the sink then going upstairs making him sigh.
"Was it something I did." Lylla asked confused.
"No she's just not used to change but give her time." he replied.
Gamora was goijg upstairs to get ready for the day hearing noises from Casey's room opening the door softly, seeing her on the floor with hervAvenger Legos playing out an adventure guessing she was blowing off steam giggling softly at her antics closing the door leaving her be heading to her and Rocket's room making Rocket wonder what made her smile.
"Casey in her room being adorable and playing Avengers, she doesn't trust Lylla though." she told him.
"I know but it takes Casey a while, to warm up to new people in her life, I noticed the anxious look on her face this morning it's why I made her pancakes." Rocket replied hearing an explosion from the basment where Herbert had his lab making a worried look cross his face.
"Go check on Herbie, I'll talk to Casey." she said kissing him.
"Thanks Gammy and good luck." he said leaving the room.
But in her room, Casey was delighted seeing Yoko there remembering her vest friend had magic, and that they'd made plans to hang out making a huge grin cross Casey's furry face grabbing her Rocketpack hugging Bento, following Yoko through the portal despite being in her pyjamas which Yoko didn't mind as they went through the portal, just as Gamora opened the door seeing the female-cub was gone.
"Jupiter, Rocket come quick, Casey disappeared." she yelled seeing Jupiter and Rocket there seeing Casey's Legos on the carpet where she'd been playing noticing hervRocketpack was gone realising she had disappeared makin* worry flood Rocket's chest ad he knew it was because of Lylla feeling Jupiter squeeze his paw but he sensed trans-dimensional energy in there guessing what had happened.
"She's with a friend that lives in another dimension, but we have to have a talk, when she gets back." he told them but it still made him anxious, feeling tears sting his eyes which Gamora could see, knowing it wasn't his fault seeing him going to blow off steam making Lylla wonder what was going on, so Gamora told her stunning her adjusting her pilot goggles.
"She's not used to change and you being part of us will take time for her to get used to, but going to another dimension is not the way to handle it, she reallybworried us especially Rockie." Jupiter told her.
Casey giggled as she and Yoko were playing in a Japanese arcade playing video-games as she and Rocket loved playing video-games together especially racing ones especially Sonic All Stars Racing which made a lump grow in her furry throat cuddling the Tom Nook stuffie Yoko had won for her seeing the Sonic All-Stars Racing arcade machine knowing Rocket was probably worried sick out of his mind but then, he had Gamora and now Lylla so he'd be too busy to hang out with her or play games with her.
"Casey-chan you okay." Yoko asked her seeing her shake her furry head, tellijg her making her get it explaining she'd been like that when her big sis, Shockee met Linda as they were pretty close then Shockee noticed that she was upset assuring her they'd always be sisters and still hang out giving Casey courage, to go back and tell Rocket how she was feeling about Lylla making Yoko impressed, opening the portal hugging her before she went through.
"Here goes, and hope he understands." she mumbled putting her new stuffie beside Bento hearing the door opening seeing Rocket hug her tightly before yelling at hervabout goijg to another dimension without telling him orvJupiter.
"S-sorry, but you d-didn't tell me about Lylla." she in a small, soft voice making Rocket sigh.
"I know, and know you're scared but why." he told her seeing her closing her eyes, scrunching up her lil snout knowing an emotion-bomb was about to happen bracing himself, hearing her sating that he'd be too busybtomdo anything or play video-games with her as the house shook like an earthquake knowing it was Casey's extreme emotions and powers doing it.
"How do I onow that." she screamed making Rocket gulping needing tomcalm her down.
"Casey it'll be okay, we're still gonna be sibs even if Lylla's part of our family, maybe we can teach her things like our favourite video games and our favourite stuff, p-please calm down, you're scaring us." he said seeing it stop seeing she was taking deep-breaths like he and Jupiter taught her, in situations like this hugging her once it was safe seeing Jupitervand Herbert enter along with Gamora but Lylla kept her distance, she didn't want to set Casey off or smash the house.
"Ssshhh everything's okay, these things happen, let's put your power-bands on just in case." Jupiter told her putting brightly cloured bangles on her furry lil wrists seeing she was getting calmer as the pink energy around her was dissipating around her saying sorryba lot knowing she was scared, feeling her mom and Rocket stroking behind her ears, which Lylla found sweet.
"Let's go make some lunch, while she calms down." Gamora heard Herbert say, as they nodded leaving things be.
"So, everything's calm now after earlier but is that normie what she did." Lylla asked seeing Jupiter and Rocket nodding as they, Gamora and Herbert were sitting at the kitchen table having lunch knowing the female-otter was stoll finding where she fitted in here hoping she and Casey could be friends.
"Only when big changes happen, that she has trouble dealing with, once she calms down and sleeps for a bit, she'll be okay, maybe we can try again slowly instead of throwing her in at the deep-end of the socialness pool." Rocket reassured her seeing her give him a look after what he'd justvsaid.
"I do wanna try with her, if I'm gonna be here with you guys." Lylla replied to him.
"Don't worry as we'll work on it with her, but she'll warm up to you." Rocket told her
