Namor's POV
She is beautiful even when she sleeps, her features so soft. I made sure to pull the blankets over her shoulders for when she awakes in a few hours. Watching the sun rise in Wakanda is something magical. I wished my people could live amongst the citizens of this world, but I know that can never be. There is no trust between our nations, but it will soon form and grow with my marriage to Eywa. She is truly an incredible woman. The way she drops everything to help her people, the way she sacrificed her future of solitude for her queen to become my queen. I would make sure she did not regret giving herself to me as I know I have no regrets.
I could tell she was very tired from our love making as the sun had been in the sky for a few hours now and she was still asleep. I had never had a woman move so viciously against me, so passionately that she could push me over the edge so quickly. I have been with other women before her, but they moved slow as they were always in aww of being chosen by their God to be pleasured. Most were touched, and it was rare to find a Talokan woman who was untouched, so when Eywa's mother informed me that her powers returned her purity to her, I knew there was something truly special about the woman.
Eywa is an honorable and loyal woman I had learned for even the Jabari leader, M'Baku would not be a threat to me, her mother assured me. He was a friend to her during her time of healing and I would not ever make her feel uncomfortable for having his friendship. If anything, he may have been the reason I was able to get so close as to connect with her last night.
I decided I would let my queen sleep and returned to Talokan to ensure things were ready for her arrival. The city is awake, the lights shining bright. Only my people could survive its dangerous depths and with our technology and my army, we would always be safe. As I arrived, I was greeted by the people, and I greeted them back. I decided to construct a few air based tunnels that would lead from the Talokan cave, where I did most of my paintings, to the city and to my kingdom. I wanted Eywa to always know she could come to my… our home with me or alone whenever she needed. I could not wait to teach her our language, our culture and to start a brighter and stronger future together.
Attuma approached raising his hands to me as I did in return. He pulled out a long sheet of parchment.
"My king, the air tunnels modeling is completed." he said holding it up to me for me to review. "The tunnels entrance will start at the Talokan cave, then will flow further down into the city and will be hidden by the darkness. They won't break under the water pressure and will only connect to the stadium and your chambers directly with two separate halls leading to the medical bay. If somehow, intruders manage to make it inside, you and the queen alone will have the power to flood them. We can install the signal in your neck piece and the necklace that she will wear."
Eywa's suit activates when met with a specific pressure of water, usually dangerous to humans and as long as she wears it, she will always be safe in the deeper depths of water. I nodded giving Attuma a proud smile and patting his shoulder. He nodded back with a smile.
"Good have the workers start building immediately. I want no time wasted. Have a few warriors meet me at the Talokan cave. We will bring a few items from there to the home we share in Wakanda. Also have one of the scientists bring me her necklace." I commanded.
Attuma nodded and swiftly swam away. As I moved through the waters watching my people move freely and without a care, I saw children playing off in the distance. They saw me and waved happily, and I smiled and returned the wave. They would know a future without fear. They would grow old and tell their grand children of me and their queen. And soon, Eywa's belly will be swollen with my children, and they will always know safety and love.
Eywa's POV
I awoke to the bright room, but an empty bed. I blinked the sleep away and rubbed my eyes a bit. Once I sat up, I was met with aching cramps in my stomach and pelvis. I winced gently thinking I definitely over did it last night. That was my first time, and I completely lost myself in the heated passions it felt. But remembering the good feelings that came with what happened made me feel somewhat better. As I looked around, I realized I was alone in the room too. I held up my wrist thinking I should find where my new husband had gone, but then I stopped and remembered he is a king of another civilization. He must have gone back to the water. I moved from the bed and slowly moved to the bathroom. I definitely slept in. I looked at my naked form in the mirror. My hair was a bit frizzy and matted. I looked my body over and gently touched my hips. No bruises were on my body this time. My sides weren't a discoloration of blacks and purples and blues. Thank Bastet. I moved and cut on the shower and stepped in. The water was already warm, and I felt my muscles relaxing.
With the water's help, I used it to massage all my muscles. I have heard from other women that as your vagina heals from normal sex, the slights bump from a car ride or too much movement could cause pain. So I was able to get ahead of all of that by massaging my muscles. As I closed my eyes and ran my hands gently over my body, I could feel warmth inside me. My body was a twinge alert, but I still felt safe. He is near. I could hear the bedroom door opening and footsteps walking into the bathroom.
I didn't feel the need to open my eyes as the familiar body now pulled the shower curtains back and stepped inside. The warmth from his body radiated off of me and I felt the gentle nuzzle of his face against the back of my head. I couldn't hold back the smile as I slowly turned to stare up at the wet face of Namor. He smiled down at me, his body already wet.
"Good morning." I replied.
"Good morning." he said leaning down to give a gentle peck to my lips. "How is your body? Are you in any pain?"
"Only the unavoidable pain that comes with…" my words trailed off thinking of the right words. "Love making." His hands leaned down to gently rub my sides.
"Then this water will serve well as helping you heal then." he said. I nodded in agreement and slowly his forehead leaned into mine and I could not stop my forehead from leaning back into him. We closed our eyes and I sighed gently.
"There it is, that connection, that warm feeling," I said gently opening my eyes a bit. "You are happy, excited even." Namor nodded.
"Yes. I have much to show you today and I am excited about it all." he said. I smiled, my eyes brightening.
"You will show me Talokan today!" I said and he chuckled and nodded.
"Yes. Our people are curious to meet you." he said and I nodded.
"As am I." I replied. He nodded.
"Good this makes me happy. I will leave you to finish cleaning. I will have food brought to us." he said. I nodded and he placed a gentle kiss on my forehead before stepping out. I smiled at the gesture and watched him move from the bathroom. I looked down at the tub floor before dipping my head back under water. Once I was clean, I dried off and moved into the closet to find something to wear.
But upon hearing faint noises downstairs, I quickly grabbed my robe and calmly left my room. I moved down the hall hearing men speaking and as I slowly moved down the stairs, I noticed blue men moving what look like large golden cases. I noticed most of the walls were now painted with red and gold and green colors. When the men saw me, they immediately paused and looked at me as if stunned. This is their first time meeting their new… queen. They placed the case down and bowed at me, raising their hands in the respectful gesture. I gave a shy smile and mimicked their actions before they continued to move.
Namor approached from the kitchen.
"I felt bringing some of my world into the house would make a great combination with the Wakanda features, showing two worlds combined." he said placing his arm around my shoulder. I nodded. It would make sense. If this house was our new home, it could not just be filled with the culture and traditions of just my world. More men and women came in and did their respectful bows before moving to put what looked like boxes of jewelry and clothes and large canvases away into the different rooms of the house.
Namor now turned our bodies toward a young woman who did not look like a warrior. Like the rest she was blue with a breathing mask on. Her hair was pulled back and she wore a long-beaded skirt and matching halter top with a beaded necklace around her.
"Eywa, this is Atzi, she will be your servant in Talokan who will also show you around. Until you are acclimated to Talokan either she or Namora will be with you." he explained. Atzi bowed and motioned her hands at me.
"It is an honor to meet you Queen Eywa." she said. I smiled and returned the gesture.
"The honor is all mine." I replied. Now other women were coming in bringing what looked like large plates of fish and other dead sea life. Everyone was bowing and staring at me in aww. I was introduced to many warriors and members who served in Namor's palace.
"After we eat, I will show you your suit, and then we will go to Talokan." he said.
