We were in the Great Hall when Dumbledore stood up at the podium which he doesn't do much unless he is making a big announcement. I glanced slightly at Professor Snape who was talking to Professor McGonagall. Pay attention to Dumbledore Skylar. I snapped out of my trance and focused only on Dumbledore. "Students' attention please!" He had his wand up to his jugular so we could hear him, "We will be changing things up in a few days since we will be hosting an event called: The Triwizard Tournament. We will have Beauxbatons from France and Durmstrang from North Europe joining us for this event. We will have three Triwizard companions competing in the competition. You must be 17 or above to compete."
"Rubbish," we heard a couple of Gryffindors scream from their table.
"Quiet," he said, "I have put a protection spell on around this cup. You will not be able to put your name in unless you are 17 years old or above. That being said we will be changing up schedules and rooming assignments for the sixth years and seventh years. Please grab your rooming assignments from Professor Snape and Professor McGonagall before you head out of the hall. No classes today since things are being changed. We will start up tomorrow with classes."
(Btw they are in their sixth year but Skylar is 17)
We all formed a line to grab our new schedules and rooming assignments. Two lines were forming. I decided to get into Mcgonagall's line because I was embarrassed that Snape has heard every little thought in my head. Most of them are about. I almost got to her but, "Minvera, I will take Miss Simmons," he said, "I have her important information." I walked slowly over to Snape. "Here," he said as he forcefully handed me my papers. I nodded and walked away from him.
I sat down in the hallway and looked at my schedule.
1- Ancient Ruins
2-Defense Against the Dark Arts
3- Potions
4- Herbology (Fridays Only)
4-Transfiguration (Monday-Thursdays)
5- Potions (TA) First Years
My eyes went wide with what I was seeing. A teacher's assistant for Professor Snape? How did that even happen? Breathe. Don't think too much he could hear you.
I decided to look at my new room assignment.
At the top of the page it says:
Sixth Years Room Assignment:
Skylar Ann Simmons
Single Room
Slytherin Downstairs Quarters
Personal items have been transferred to the room.
I made my way down to my new room assignment. I went downstairs looking for Room S394. I knew exactly where I was in the hallway. I was close to Professor Snape's quarters incredibly close. I walked past Snapes' quarters and made my way to my own. I opened the door and made my way in. It was spacious and it was secluded.
Knock, Knock* I made my way to the door and opened it. "Professor?" I asked, "what are you doing here?"
"I wanted to make sure you are still coming to my quarters today," Professor Snape asked.
"I am Professor," I said confused, "I thought we weren't doing detention until 6 tonight?"
"Since classes have been canceled," he paused, "and my meeting has been postponed I figured it was time for you to serve your detention," he said in his monotone voice.
"Yes I can do that," I said, "I am just going to change, and then I will be right there."
"Don't be late," he said, "or you will get more detention."
I nodded and closed the door.
This was the day I was going to win the bet. I am going to get Snape hot and heavy. I put on sweatpants and a low-cut tank top.
I wanted to be comfortable and sexy at the same time. Luckily we didn't have to always wear our robes only on special occasions.
I made my way out of my room and to Snape's room. I knocked softly on the door. "Enter," he said. I opened the door slowly. "Good afternoon Professor," I said.
He nodded and gestured for me to come in.
"How would you like me to organize your books, sir?" I asked.
He still hadn't turned around to see me. "I want you to do them alphabetically," he said while turning around. His eyes somewhat widened, but you had to look close to notice. "Okay I will get started on it," I said while making my way to his bookshelves. Yes, I said bookshelves because he has many.
He had so many books that I wanted to read.
He had the Advanced Potion Making book that was pretty worn out. It must've been his book in school. I wondered if he would let me take it off his hands for a little. One of the more interesting books I found was Have Yourself a Fiesta in a Bottle which was released in 1926.
"You have muggle books?" I asked him as I was grabbing a copy of Into the Wild and The Notebook. I was surprised that he even had The Notebook. He did not seem like the type to be interested in those. "You have The Notebook?" I smiled as I turned around.
"A gift from Dumbledore," he said while sitting at his desk grading papers.
"Have you ever read it?" I asked him.
"You are here to organize my bookshelf not to socialize," he said.
I nodded, "okay,"
Oh my god, he has Fight Club! He is a dream. I wondered if he has read Fight Club.
"Yes I have read Fight Club," he said.
I turned around, "Oh my," I paused, "please stop doing that."
"Your mind is too open," he said. Severus didn't want to tell her that he loved hearing her thoughts, especially the ones about him. He also didn't want to tell her that he could only hear her thoughts and nobody else's.
I couldn't believe I had thoughts like that, especially with him in this room with me. "What do you think of your new schedule?" He asked.
"I thought this was my punishment and to not socialize," I said as a question.
"Well I am the professor so I can start the conversation," he smirked.
"Fine," I said while putting the books in order. I cleared my throat, "I'm sure excited to only have Herbology on Fridays now," I paused, "I am also surprised that I am your teacher's assistant for your first years. I thought you had to have a teacher's recommendation to be put into that. I don't know any of my teachers that would do that."
"I did that," he said, "you have done quite well in potions class the past couple of years. I also have a lot of awful first years papers to grade and do not have the time or the patience."
I turned around, "well you'll have to spend more time with me then."
"I'm quite sure you will enjoy that," he said with a smirk playing on his face.
I decided to change the subject. "What do you think about this Triwizard Tournament?" I asked.
"You changed the subject and I am the teacher you are not. No questions for you," he said, "what do you think about it?" He asked.
"I think I might put my name in," I said.
Snape cleared his throat, "why on earth would you want to do that?"
"Something to put on my resume. If I win then I can go anywhere and be anything. What is the worst that can happen?" I asked while still working on putting the books away.
"Well for one you could die," he almost sounded worried.
"Doesn't matter," I said while putting the last couple of books away. "I won't be missed. Only by Draco really."
"I would miss you," he sounded closer but more broken than usual, "turn around."
I turned around slowly and saw that Snape was standing in front of me.
"I would miss you," he said while putting his thumb under my chin and lifting my face towards his.
