Warnings: Kidnapping and violence
Summary: The gang comes across a hospitable old mansion, but they find strange happenings when they gaze into a mirror.
It is raining. Everyone is in the caravan. Arianna is sketching in her journal. Eugene is looking in a small mirror with a wooden frame messing with his eyebrows. And he's looking in the mirror again. Cassandra thinks. "Pretty Boy, I see that you're looking at yourself again!" She tells him.
"The smolder cannot work to the full effect without proper maintenance." He replies. Eww! She thinks.
"If the effect you're going for is to make me nauseous, I'd say it's working.".
Arianna doodles in her journal with a peacock feather pen. She draws a picture of the heads of the group fighting. It's not right. She thinks. She groans and pushes her journal back. "Can't draw!" She explains. Rapunzel speedwalks over to her. She kneels and touches her shoulder.
"Mom, you're a good drawer, you just have to keep trying." Rapunzel reminds her. Arianna nods. They hug. Varian pours a beaker of blue liquid and one of yellow liquid. The liquid turns green and explodes. Can he not? Arianna thinks.
"Varian, blow another thing up, and I will hang you!" She threatens. Now I'm in trouble. Varian thinks. We're annoyed with each other. Rapunzel thinks.
"Guys, we've been stuck with each other here so long that all of our little quirks are on each other's nerves." She announces. Everybody nods.
Thromas, a man with tan skin, brown eyes, and white hair wearing a black suit and pants with a pink shirt underneath cuts down an oak tree with green leaves with an ax. Matthew tugs on the darkness around him. Maximus and Fidella buck, jostling the caravan. I better check that out. Rapunzel thinks. She grabs a magenta shawl, throws it around her shoulders, and steps out. She sees the fallen tree. She steps in. "Bad news: we're stuck." She announces unenthusiastically. The others groan.
Arianna looks out the window. She sees a pink and purple mansion with a design inspired by shells. "Look! A warm, dry mansion!" She announces as she points to the mansion. Rapunzel rushes to the window. She sees the mansion. That's a great idea! She thinks.
"That's a great idea, Mom! Told ya you have good ideas!" Rapunzel announces. She rubs her shoulder. Arianna giggles. Rapunzel lifts Natalia.
They go inside. They see Thromas. "Hi, my name is Rapunzel and these are all my friends." Rapunzel introduces them. I hate you guys already. Thromas thinks. "Rapunzel, I am Mathews." He introduces himself.
"Can we stay here?".
"Yes, of course!". He's so nice! Arianna thinks.
"That's so nice!" She exclaims. Thromas deviously smiles.
The gang walks into a pink room with a darker floor. There is a black table with a black basket with big blue marbles. Wonder if I can juggle. Varian thinks.
He picks up three of the marbles and juggles. He's going to get us kicked out! Arianna thinks. "Varian, put those down!" She orders. He puts them back. Kiera picks up the marbles and juggles. Arianna just told me to put those down! Varian thinks.
"Arianna just told me to put those down!" He protests.
"She said: 'Varian, put those down!', not 'Kiera, put those down!'" She replies. Arianna just sighs.
The group arrives at an oval-shaped mirror with a black lining. A red armory with golden hinges is by the mirror. Mirror! Eugene thinks. He looks in. Okay... Cassandra thinks. "We're going to let you adore yourself and move on." She tells him. The others walk away. A black and gray version of him with glowing green eyes comes out and pulls him in.
This is a house of shells, so I wonder if it has an aquarium. Natalia thinks. She beckons Arianna. I'll follow her. Arianna thinks.
They go down a dark, pink tunnel. They arrive in an aquarium of dolphins, sharks, hammerheads, whale sharks, whales, narwhals, manatees, otters, yellow rays, seals, and colorful fish. They gasp.
Arianna and Rapunzel are in a pink bedroom with two pink canopy beds and a pink vanity in between them. Arianna lays on her stomach, propping herself up with her forearms and dangling her legs in the air. What if I brought us to the wrong place? A giant shell house out in the middle of nowhere is so strange. She worries.
"Punzie, I'm starting to think that I brought us to the wrong place. A giant shell house out in the middle of nowhere just seems so strange." She explains. Lorbs are strange. Rapunzel thinks.
She sits on her mother's bed. "So are talking leaves." She replies. They hug and laugh.
Meanwhile, Varian walks by the mirror. I wonder what this is made of. He wonders. He grabs both sides of the mirror. A black and gray version of him with glowing green eyes comes out and pulls him in.
Eugene and Varian are in a gray version of the mansion. The other versions of us are probably evil. Varian thinks. "So… I take it that the other versions of us are evil." He says.
"Yes, most likely." He replies.
Cassandra walks by the mirror. A black and gray version of her glowing green eyes comes out and pulls her in.
A little while later, Lance walks by the mirror. A black and gray version of him with glowing green eyes comes out and pulls him in.
A little while later, Kiera walks by the mirror. A black and gray version of her glowing green eyes comes out and pulls her in.
Rapunzel, Arianna, Natalia, Sara, Catalina, Varian, and the mirror people are at a teal table with a black lining and a marble center. Ham, peas, cheese casserole, fish, rice, bread, and cheesecake with white icing are on the table. Mirror Cassandra throws peas. Mirror Lance throws fish. Mirror Kiera throws rice. Rapunzel, Arianna, Natalia, Sara, Catalina, Varian, and Mirror Eugene duck under the table. What is going on? They wonder. "What is going on?" Rapunzel wonders.
"I don't know, let's go investigate." Mirror Eugene replies. Everybody nods.
Rapunzel, Arianna, Natalia, Sara, Catalina, and Mirror Eugene are in the armory. A wooden harp and a dark green sheet hung on a nob are in the armory. Varian walks by the mirror. I wonder what this is made of. He wonders. He grabs both sides of the mirror. A black and gray version of him with glowing green eyes comes out and pulls him in. Rapunzel, Arianna, Natalia, Sara, and Catalina look at each other and gasp. Mirror Eugene deviously smiles.
They are back in the dining hall. We need to make sure that we're not doubles. Rapunzel thinks. "We need to make sure that we're not doubles." She announces. "Mom, what are all the names of the horses in the Coronian Royal Stables?" Rapunzel asks her.
Maximus, Fidella, Abel, Poly, and Mabel. Arianna thinks.
"Maximus, Fidella, Abel, Poly, and Mabel." She replies.
"Nice job. Natalia, are killer whales, whales?". No, they're dolphins. Natalia thinks. She shakes her head 'no'. She moves her finger in a swooping motion.
"That's right! They're dolphins. Sara, what's your favorite color?".
"All are equally amazing!" Sara replies.
"Yeah, definitely you!".
"Catalina, what is your favorite animal?".
"All of them!".
"Yep, you!".
Rapunzel holds up two identical wanted posters of Eugene.
"Eugene, which is the accurate representation of the real Flynn Rider?". Mirror Eugene holds his chin.
"Trick question! No artist can accurately represent the real Flynn Rider.".
"None of us are doubles!" Rapunzel announces. Everybody laughs.
The doubles run at them. The armor! Rapunzel remembers. "Go to the armor." She announces. They run to the armor. They go into the armor. Pascal flies off Rapunzel's shoulder.
"Wait, where's the frog?" Mirror Eugene questions. Everyone looks at him. What did he say? They think.
"Eugene, did you just call Pascal a frog?" Rapunzel questions.
"No…" He replies. He's a double! They think.
"You're a double!" She announces.
"But, you got to admit: I had this Eugene guy down pretty well.". They run out.
"Now we have to get the doubles in the mirror!" Rapunzel announces. They go over to the mirror. She grabs it. She puts it on the ground. She puts the rug over it. The doubles run over it. Rapunzel, Arianna, Natalia, Sara, and Catalina grab the rug. The doubles fall.
Eugene grabs his double's feet. He pulls him down and jumps out. Varian grabs his double's feet. He pulls him down and jumps out. Cassandra grabs her double's feet. She pulls her down and jumps out. Lance grabs his double's feet. He pulls him down and jumps out. Kiera grabs her double's feet. She pulls her down and jumps out. Everybody hugs.
Everybody sleeps on colorful mattresses in front of a magenta fireplace. Arianna doodles in her journal with a peacock feather pen. She draws a picture of the mirror. "Mom, is the drawing going better?" Rapunzel asks. Arianna smiles and nods.
