Warning: Tenison and Verbal Assault

Summary: The gang is looking for a way out of the Mystery House, but all except Rapunzel, Eugene, and Arianna are turned into little kids.

The next morning, everyone wakes. Arianna sits, yawns, stretches, brings her knees to her chest, and grabs them. "Good morning, mom." Rapunzel tells her.

"Good morning, sweetheart." She replies. They smile at each other.

"Now, say we find a way out of here?" Cassandra questions. Everybody nods.

I'm going to go to the aquarium. Natalia thinks. She begins crawling up the stairs. Where is she going? Eugene wonders. He grabs her and brings her back. He's mean. She thinks. She points at him and then brings her hands to her mouth and points down.

"Look, Nat; I know you have a mind of your own. But, your dad would kill me if something happened to you and I can't be killed by my own father-in-law." He explains. Rapunzel, Arianna, and Cassandra cover their mouths and laugh.

They go upstairs. Arianna opens a teal seashell door. A strong, cold wind blows, picking her up. She screams. Oh no, Rapunzel thinks. She grabs her and closes the door. She sets her down.

"That's not a way out." Arianna says.

"Let's keep looking." Rapunzel suggests. Everybody nods.

They go further down the hall. They see another seashell door. Eugene opens it to an aquamarine room with a purple floor with piles of; pink teddy bears, red and green tops, stuffed giraffes, blue stuffed elephants, blue stuffed dolphins, pink stuffed cats, red balls, wooden blocks with red letters, wooden swords, baby dolls with brown hair, tan skin, and blue eyes wrapped in pink blankets, easels with colorful paints, and giant nutcrackers. The group gasps.

Lance runs to the blocks. Varian runs to the nutcrackers. Natalia runs to the stuffed dolphins. Sara runs to the easels. Catalina runs to the stuffed cats. Kiera runs to the swords. We need to keep moving. Cassandra thinks. "Com'on guys, we need to keep mov…" She begins. She sees a top.

She played with a pink and purple top on a hard, wooden floor. She remembers.

"Woah! I used to have one of these before I got adopted!" She announces. She rushes over and kneels next to it. She spins it. A green light comes from it.

Cassandra, Sara, and Lance turn into toddlers, and Natalia, Catalina, Kiera, and Varian into babies. Rapunzel, Eugene, and Arianna just stare at them. They run to the dining room.

Rapunzel, Eugene, and Arianna run to the dining room.

Toddler Cassandra throws peas. Toddler Lance throws fish. Toddler Sara throws cheesecake.

"Guys, what happened?" Rapunzel asked them.

"Whatie what?" Toddler Cassandra questions.

"How did you turn into children?". She starts at them.

"Why do you have so much hair? Is it because you're really old?!" Toddler Lance questions.

What?! Rapunzel thinks.

"Wel, before I was born…" She starts.

"Why is the sky blue?". Oh boy…

Toddler Cassandra jumps on the table. "BOOM!" She cries.

"GET DOWN, LITTLE LADY!" Eugene scolds.

Meanwhile, Baby Natalia cries. Arianna picks her up. "What's the matter, baby?" She questions.

The kids run back to the toy room. Rapunzel and Eugene follow them. Arianna rocks Baby Natalia who keeps crying. Thromas approaches them. "Hi Mathews," Arianna greets him.

"Ahh, I see you're struggling with the baby. I know children haven't always been your strong suit." He tells her. What is he talking about? She wonders.

"'Children aren't my strong suit'? What are you talking about, Mr. Mathews?" She asks him.

"I heard your own daughter was taken from you, right in your face.". Gothel pops into her head.

"That wasn't my fault Mr. Mathews! Gothel kidnapped her! I raised two children and they turned out just fine!".

"Touché. Touché. But, you can't rewrite the past, Miss Arianna.". He walks away.

She cries. Arianna imagines. "What does Mathews know about children? I'm a great mom!" She tells herself. She sits down against the aquarium. She clears her throat.

"Power of the sun

Gift me with your light

Shine into the dark

Restore our fading sight

Rise into the dawn

Blazing star so bright

Burn away the strife

Let my hope ignite

Let hope ignite"

She quietly sings. Balls of light form from her fingertips. Natalia falls asleep. Baby Rapunzel falls asleep in her arms. Arianna smiles.

"Hey, sweetheart, we need you to give us that top." Rapunzel cooes as she kneels in front of Toddler Cassandra. She needs to be more assertive. Eugene thinks.

"Give us the top right this instant!" Eugene demands. Toddler Cassandra runs away.

That was way too harsh. Rapunzel thinks.

"Eugene, you need to be gentler." She tells him.

"As if sweet-talking it out of them is going to work." He replies.

Just then, Arianna comes in with Baby Natalia. "How's it going, guys?" Arianna questions.

"He's being too harsh." Rapunzel tells her as she points at Eugene.

"She's being too gentle." Eugene tells her as he points at Rapunzel. Rapunzel has her hands on her hips as she talks to Toddler Cassandra. Arianna imagines.

"Guys, you need to be assertive and gentle. It's like Goldielocks. Not too hard and not too soft." She explains as she folds her hands. Rapunzel and Eugene nod.

Rapunzel, Eugene, and Arianna go to a dark room with giant brown dogs in metal cages.

Rapunzel walks out with Toddler Cassandra and baby Kiera, Eugene walks out with Toddler Lance and baby Varian, and Arianna walks out with Toddler Sara and baby Catalina. Arianna imagines.

"Rapunzel, you can go get Cassandra and Kiera. Eugene, you can go get Lance and Varian. And I will get Sara and Catalina." Arianna announces. Good plan. Rapunzel thinks. Good plan. Eugene thinks. They nod.

Arianna walks up to Toddler Sara, who is holding baby Catalina. "Sara, sweetie, I need you to go out the door right now, please," Arianna tells her.

"Yes, ma'am," Toddler Sara replies. They head out.

Rapunzel walks up to Toddler Cassandra, who is holding baby Kiera. "Cassandra, let's go out the door!" She cooes.

"I don't take orders from you." Toddler Cassandra tells her. Time to be assertive. Rapunzel thinks.

"Cassandra, I need you to get your little tushie out the door right now, please." Rapunzel orders.

"Yes, ma'am," Toddler Cassandra replies. They head out.

Eugene walks up to Toddler Lance, who is holding baby Varian. "Lance, I need you to get your little tushie out the door right now!" Eugene orders. Toddler Lance starts crying. I need to be more gentle. Eugene thinks. "Lance, let's go out the door!" He cooes.

"Yes, Eugene." Toddler Lance replies. They head out.

Everybody's at the door. Big white dogs with glowing green eyes run up to them. Everybody huddles. Baby Natalia throws the top.

A green light comes from it. Cassandra, Sara, Lance, Natalia, Catalina, Kiera, and Varian turn back. The dogs turn into puppies with brown eyes. "We're back!" Cassandra announces as she throws her hands up. Lance taps her shoulder.

"Tag you're it!" He cries. They begin running. They shouldn't run in the house. Rapunzel thinks.

"Hey! No running in the house." She cries. Eugene and her wink at each other.

I want to keep the puppies. Catalina thinks. "Can we keep the puppies?" She asks Arianna.

"Yes," Arianna replies.

Meanwhile, Thromas is standing behind a light blue shell door. "The top failed. The mirror failed. master, I will keep both Sundrop girls in this house forever." He promises Zan Tiri.

Author Note: Thromas doesn't have a heart. He just doesn't. And FYI: the next chapter is going to be a really tough read. You might want to just skip to the last part if you don't handle child/mass death well.
