Tony had made a reservation for a special restaurant in Cocoa Beach called the Vineyard. It was beachside, and the reservation was for 7:30pm. Being a special occasion, both were dressed extra nice; Jeannie had on a long black dress and Tony donned a tuxedo.

They arrived quite a bit early-6:45-and parked in the parking lot.

Tony looked at his watch. "Well, we're quite a bit early, Jeannie. Let's go in and see if they can seat us.

"Master, I've got an idea: Let's walk on the beach, first."

"Good idea."

They got out of the car. A path led to the beach. They walked down it.

"Could you stand just for a moment, Master?"

"All right."

They stood. Jeannie blinked, and their feet became bare.

She smiled. "That's the best way to walk on the beach!

He also smiled. "You're right, Jeannie!"

They walked across the sand and waded in the water.

She became serious. "Anthony, I have a question for you."

"Of course, Jeannie."

"Have you ever regretted having me in your life?"

"Absolutely not, Jeannie."

"Even a little bit?"

"Well, there was that time you almost got me fired from NASA."
"I'm really sorry about that. That feud was such a silly little thing."

"But it all worked out, in the end."

"Yes, it did, Master."

"I must admit that I get a little cross at you, sometimes."

"When, exactly?"

"Well, when you grant wishes I don't want you to grant."

"Like that time I had you sing opera, or play the piano?"

"Yes, exactly."

"I'm sorry, Master. I just wanted what I thought was best for you."

"I know, Jeannie. And I understand. But the last six years you've been with me have been the happiest years of my life, Jeannie."

"Oh, Anthony!"

They hugged and kissed.

"I promise I'll do better. No more frivolous wishes!"

"Ok, Jeannie."

She looked at the pounding surf and smiled.

"Excuse me, Master."

She waded out to where the waves were crashing, getting her dress wet. One wave hit her hard, causing her to fall into the water. She stood up, soaked but smiling.

"Jeannie!" Tony yelled out.

"Come on in, the water's fine!"

"But what about our reservation?"

"You seem to forget that I'm a genie!"

He laughed. "Oh, yeah!"

He waded out to where she was. Another wave came, soaking the two of them. They hugged and kissed. Afterwards, they walked back to the shore. Jeannie blinked, and they two of them were dry once again.

He looked at his watch. "Let's go to the restaurant now."

"Yes, Master."

She blinked, and their shoes were on once again. They walked back to the car, and then over to the restaurant.

Meanwhile, a mother and her 10-year-old son were on the beach. The son was swimming, while the mother was sunbathing. He watched Tony and Jeannie, then he ran other to his mom.

"Mommy, Mommy, I just saw the strangest thing!"

"What is it, Timmy?"

"See those two, over there?"

"Yes."

"They just went in the water with all their clothes on!"

"They did?"

"But then, they suddenly were dry, again!"

"Really?"

"And then, shoes magically appeared on their feet!"

"Timmy, you have too vivid an imagination!"

"But I saw it, really!"

"I think it's time for us to go home, now!"
