More Than A Gift Encanto Mirabel X OC Alexis Chapter 1: The Madrigals, an encanto fanfic

Chapter One: The Madrigals

"You didn't get a gift?" Alexis asks as she is with Mirabel outside Casita.

"No. And Abuela won't do anything about it either." Mirabel says as she cries.

"It's okay Mirabel. I know she can't do much but maybe there's a reason for it." Alexis says as she places her hand on Mirabel's shoulder only for her to pull away.

"What reason could that be? My family gets to be special but I don't? I just wanna be alone." Mirabel says as she begins to run toward Casita.

"Mirabel!" Alexis shouts sadly as Mirabel runs inside.

*10 Year Timeskip*

At night as Alexis is approaching Casita for the party of Antonio receiving his gift she soon spots Luisa helping people with their things while greeting them at the door.

"Hey Luisa." Alexis says as she smiles.

"Hey Alexis. Glad to see you could make it. Where's your sister and younger brother?" Luisa asks.

"She had to stay home. Sick little brother. Preferred it would be best to see Julieta tomorrow after the celebration rather than ruin anyone's fun." Alexis says.

"Is she sure? Julieta wouldn't mind." Luisa says as Alexis nods.

"It's okay. Besides my brother is enjoying having Lidia all to himself anyway." Alexis says.

"Understandable. You may go inside if you want." Luisa says as she walks off before Alexis goes inside.

*Timeskip*

"Fifty years ago... in our darkest moment... this candle blessed us with a miracle. And the greatest honor of our family... has been to use our blessings to serve this beloved community. Tonight, we come together once more... as another steps into the light... to make us proud." Alma says as she holds a candle as everyone is gathered before watching as Mirabel brings Antonio to his door.

"Will you use your Gift to honor our miracle? Will you serve this community... and strengthen our home?" Alma asks as Antonio nods and touches the door before it appears with drawings on it as animals and birds begin to arrive and go over to Antonio.

"I understand you. Of course they can come!" Antonio says happily as he talks to a bird.

"We have a new Gift!" Alma shouts as everyone goes inside Antonio's room and sees it is very big with a jungle like theme.

"Amazing." Alexis says as Antonio comes over after riding around on a jaguar's back.

"I knew you could do it! A Gift just as special as you. We need a picture!" Alma shouts as the family joins her to take a picture with Anotonio before continuing to celebrate.

*Timeskip*

"The house is in danger! The house is in danger! The tiles were falling, and there were cracks everywhere. And the candle almost went out." Mirabel says in a panic as she runs into the room as everyone is dancing and having fun.

"Show me." Alma says as everyone then follows Mirabel.

"What? No that's... The cracks were there. They were everywhere. The house was in trouble, the candle was... Abuela I promise-" Mirabel then gets cut off by Alma as everyone sees nothing is wrong.

"That's enough. There is nothing wrong with La Casa Madrigal. The magic is strong. And so are the drinks. Please! Music!" Alma says as everyone goes back to celebrating.
