Saiyans of Jura

"Alright… that should do it for this pillar." Kaen said, stabbing the final pillar of stone into the ground. "Man, this work is hard, but so rewarding."

"An' we're moving along rather quickly with it." Kaijin said. "I knew you were strong, but I had no idea you could move solid stone pillars with such ease. You're as strong as an Ogre."

"Oh stop, it's nothing that special." Kaen smiled.

"So remind me again, how this signal tower is supposed to work?" Kaijin asked, looking at the drawn out blueprints.

"Well… it's supposed to work as an amplifier for the radio waves that'll be coming in and out through the Scouters we'll be mass producing pretty soon." Kaen said. "The device within my bracer can only handle so much, but since my sister is the one who created both the Scouters and the signal device in my bracer, I can't just create a giant signal device designed to handle countless Scouter Signals. However, I can hook multiple devices up to one another, and use them to line the inside of the power. These pillars, are here to keep the tower from swaying, or breaking if an Earthquake hits."

"I see. So these Scouters will allow for instant communication?" Kaijin inquired.

"Exactly. Currently, we're only gonna let them out to those within our law enforcement. Then when we've managed to develop the city a bit more, we'll sell them to our citizens. I'm a bit iffy on selling them outside the village though, but that's a discussion for another time." Kaen said.

"Understandable. This could revolutionize the communications industry years ahead of its time." Kaijin said, before he had to raise his hands, as Kaen tossed him a pair of Scouter Shades. "What are these?"

"It's a Scouter. I had Mina create a couple crates of duplicates that will be distributed throughout our council and law enforcement units, once the tower is up and functional. Those have been programmed with your retina's and voice recognition, so they'll only respond to you. I've even painted a few of them different colors to give more variety to the council." Kaen said, putting on his own Scouter and turned it on, allowing for a thin microphone to come out from the underside of the right part of the frame, before a mask fully formed over his face. "Huh, wasn't aware they had this function, but I guess it's for protection. Anyways aside from the mask function I just found, they're compact and designed to act as communication devices, but that's not their only fun…"

The Saiyan teen was stopped when his Scouter went off, and directed him to a major power source, coming from the west.

"Kaijin, do you know if the hunting party has already left to gather food?" Kaen asked.

"If I recall, Rigurd said they left about an hour ago, with Little Eri and Lady Mina accompanying them." Kaijin said. "What's wrong?"

"They must be able to hide their presence similar to how I can do it." Kaen said. "Sorry Kaijin, but I'm needed elsewhere right now."

Crouching down, Kaen leapt from the ground, and took to the air, heading in towards the forest, where the powerful fighters were. He could sense they hadn't attacked yet, but that didn't matter, the Saiyan teen could feel they were out for blood. He managed to reach the hunting party and landed next to them as they were sneaking up on a prey.

"Kaen, what are you doing here?" Mina asked, with Eri smiling and jumping to him. "An' what are you wearing?"

"New function of the Scouters I just found while talking with Kaijin, as for what I'm doing here, someone else is in the forest, close by. They're able to mask their presence, and I only managed to find them, due to my Scouter." Kaen said, catching Eri in his arms. "They're further on ahead."

"Thanks for the warning Lord Kaen." Rigur said.

"I'm sticking near and joining, just in case they make an appearance." Kaen said, scanning around the area. "We're near a clearing, so we gotta be careful. Should trouble come, I'll handle it."

"Right." Mina said. "Alright everyone, you heard the man, move carefully, if anything attacks us, we run and leave him to deal with it."

Carefully approaching the clearing, Kaen kept his eyes trained on the area. His Scouter wasn't picking the energy signatures up anymore, which meant they were either out of range, or they had silenced their energies to zero, in order to hide from them completely. While looking for the enemy, Kaen's eyes landed on a bull-deer, and he couldn't believe his eyes.

"Huh… they really do look like bull sized deer." Kaen said.

As his gaze was on the animal they were hunting, it slowly drifted to the area behind the animal, before his eyes widened, as he saw horned monsters in the brush, and they were glaring right at him, past the deer.

"Everyone scatter, now." Kaen called out, as he fire a Ki blast, past the deer and into the brush behind, where the monsters were.

From out of the brush, a red haired Ogre jumped out and sliced through the Ki blast, and enraged glower on his face, as five others came out of the brush and joined him.

"Ogres, seriously?" Rigur questioned, before the rest of his troops began falling like flies. "Oh no, magic?"

"A sleep spell." Kaen said, before a couple of arrows flew past him. He looked over his shoulder to see Eri holding a bow, while knotting another arrow. "Eri don't."

"You're skilled with a bow." A voice came from behind Eri. "But your movements are lethargic Majin."

"NO." Kaen shouted, pulling Eri towards him, before using his shield to block a blade, swung at Eri by an older while haired Ogre. "You will not touch my daughter."

Throwing his arm in a crescent motion, Kaen pushed the white haired Ogre back, knocking the elder away from them, before the Ogre was kick in the chest, and sent into the foliage.

"Eri go find your Mama." Kaen said, putting Eri down.

"Right Papa." Eri said

"Ranga, keep Eri safe. Don't leave her side until the danger passes."

"Understood." Ranga said with a bark of determination.

"Gobta, Rigur, you're on defense while I play the offense." Kaen ordered.

"Right." Rigur said.

"On it." Gobta said.

'There are six of them, and most likely they don't have names, so I'll just address them by the colors of their hair. Black seems like a heavy hitter, but not a combat type, a black smith maybe? Purple seems like she's seen more battle then she'd care to admit. Pink looks like a shy girl, probably sheltered, but I am sensing some strong magic coming from her. The three I should be most weary of though, are Red, White, and Blue. They all seem skilled with a blade, and Red seems to be a master swordsman with that Katana, if his armor is anything to go by. White is old, but he's still got some incredible strength within him that he's not gonna let show. Blue seems more like the stealthy type, he's probably used to working from the shadows, more then anything, and he's got the same type of demeanor to him that Mama has. So he's probably the fastest out of the rest of them.' Kaen analyzed.

Moving out of the way, Kaen rolled to the side, as the Saiyan teen used his shield to block both swords from the blue haired Ogre, and the old white haired Ogre. From behind, the larger red haired Ogre with his katana came up, and right before he swung down, the two other Ogre's moved out of the way, leaving Kaen wide open for a strike. Acting fast, Kaen used his flying technique to evade the strike, but was too late, as he was sliced through the back.

'The one day I choose not to wear my hero suit.' Kaen hissed, falling forward as the pain made him lose focus.

"You're strong for a Majin. But you will fall here today, and I will avenge my fallen comrades." Red said.

"Okay I've had enough of this." Kaen growled.

(Cue Music… We Will Rock You: Five-Feat. Queen)

Pushing back against the red Ogre, Kaen jumped back, flipping through the air, before having to instantly duck down and evade a swing from the white Ogre. Quickly rolling forward, Kaen pushed up with his hands, and jumped high into the air, evading the blade of the blue Ogre.

"This fast. His large body is surprisingly agile and quick for his size, and this speed of his, allows for him to fight three of us at once with barely a struggle." White said. "As for his strength, it's not small, and he seems far stronger physically then his body suggests."

"Analyzing me won't really help you in this situation." Kaen huffed, taking his fighting stance. "But believe it or not, I'm not even in my twenties yet. I'm still a teenager."

"Yet you're still keeping your own." Red stated. "Impressive for one your age."

"Thanks, if we weren't fighting like enemies right now, I'd very much like to be friends, and maybe even sparring partners." Kaen smirked, before running straight for them.

Slipping through the cracks of his opponents, Kaen collapsed his shield, and the strengthened weapon, to leave nothing more then bruises on their skin.

"Still, you have your reasons for fighting. An' until we figure out a way around this conflict, I don't wanna fight to kill." Kaen stated.

"His attacks are non-lethal." Blue said. "He's holding back considerably, and not fighting to kill, he's just fighting to survive."

"Then he's not actually taking this seriously, which will be his downfall." Red said, charging at Kaen.

"KAEN." Mina shouted, throwing something to him.

Kaen jumped through the air, evading Red's blade and grabbing what Mina had tossed to him, before revealing it was a second collapsed shield. Landing on the ground, Kaen raised both his arms, and used the shields to block the attacks coming from the three blade wielding Ogre's. Holding them back, Kaen closed his eyes, entering a minor form of meditation.

"This is the end for you." Red declared, swinging down on him from behind.

Without skipping a beat, Kaen leaned back and to the side to evade Red's attack, while also pushing Blue and White away, before he spun on the ball of his foot, and hit Red in the side of the head, knocking him over.

"Something's different." White said. "His fighting style's changed entirely."

"What do you mean?" Red asked.

"I'm not all too sure, but if I had to put a label on it, I'd say he's fighting on pure instinct alone." White stated. "It's as if his body is moving before his mind has a chance to think. We can't see his eyes, but if I were to hazard a guess, I'd say he's got them completely shut."

'Ever since the fight with Ifrit, I've come to a realization that this world is far more dangerous then my own. So in order to combat it, I've been preparing myself, and training hard to fight on instinct alone. Trouble is I gotta keep my eyes closed to do it, but it's nothing I'm not used to, with having to wear my contact blinders during the full moon.' Kaen thought.

Kaen ducked down and jumped up, sensing someone coming from behind and placed his hand on the spiked ball of a giant Morning Star, hitting the attacker with a double kick to the head, revealing to Mina and the others that it was Purple. Landing on his feet, Kaen was taken off guard as a hammer struck him in the face, knocking off his mask, and revealing his eyes were shut. Extending one of his shields, as he raised his arm, Kaen used it to block a second strike from Black, before he used the momentum of the swing to send the Ogre stumbling forward, and with an opposite strike force from his elbow, slammed it into the Ogre's chest. As Black fell, Kaen kicked the hammer up, and sent it flying at Red, forcing him to move out of the way. This weakened moment in the Ogre's defenses allowed for Kaen to throw a Ki blast at the Ogre, and knocked him back.

"I've obviously proven that I'm faster, smarter, and stronger then your entire group combined." Kaen said, standing tall. "Yield now, and we can talk this out."

"Unlikely." White said. "You have one fatal flaw, Majin."

"No." Kaen hissed.

"Stay away from us." Mina said, firing Ki blasts at White.

"I'm sorry, I wish I could have avoided bringing you and the child into this." White stated, drawing his blade.

"PAPA!" Eri shouted as blood sprayed everywhere.

(End Song…)

As White drew his blade, his strike was faster then anyone of them could see, but despite that, the blade still didn't hit its mark. Kaen stood there, his arms crossed, or rather his left arm up for shielding, and his eyes open, flashing silver for a moment, as he grit his teeth. Mina was in shock, as she looked down at Kaens arms, and saw his right arm was gone, sliced off through the bone, as Kaen shielded her and Eri from White's attack.

"You… stay away… from my wife… and daughter…" Kaen hissed, breathing heavily.

'This young man doesn't bare any marks that would identify him as a Majin. Have we made a terrible mistake?' White questioned.

"Lord Kaen." Rigur shouted, his eyes wide in horror, before he had to jump back, evading Purple's swing of her Morning Star.

"I've got you babe." Mina said, grabbing Kaen as he staggered back, before gently lowering him to the ground.

"Listen to me, I think there's been some sort of misunderstanding. I'm not your enemy." Kaen said, looking up at White.

"Silence. Forcing monsters to do your bidding is cowardly and despicable, you will pay for your crimes, Majin." Red said, running at them.

"Hold it Young Master." White said, getting in Red's way, forcing him to stop. "I believe we may be in the wrong here."

"What are you talking about?" Red questioned.

"Take a look at him sire." White stated. "He's just a boy, younger then you. He spoke the truth."

"That could be a simple spell, or he unlocked his full potential at a young age."

"Then what of his deeds this day sire?" White asked. "Doubtfully, the Majin we seek, wouldn't have put his own safety and health on the line, let alone lose an entire limb, for some fake family. He's shown true courage, and heart in this battle. A battle in which we instigated, and started out of fear, and desperation."

Red just looked at White, before he looked down at Kaen, and how both Eri and Mina were tending to him, with Eri in tears, as she tried in vein to put Kaen's arm back on, like it was a puzzle piece.

"Like I said." Kaen managed to say, looking at Red. "We're not your enemy."

"We have no intention of listening to your lies. The mask you wore has already told us the truth." Red, stated. "I admit you're rather strong. Which only confirms my suspicions."

"Which is what?" Kaen asked.

"Young Master, I implore you to calm down, and think this over. I know I am the last person who should be saying this, but I do believe we made a mistake this day." White stated.

"Brother."

Red looked over, and saw Pink standing there.

"He's right. Please, think about this logically. If he's this powerful, then why go through a roundabout way to attack our people. He could have just done so himself, to save him the trouble." Pink said. "I think we should handle this in a more dignified way, and listen to what he has to say. He's strong, strong enough to easily kill us right here and now if he wanted to, and we've more then given him enough reason to do so, but he still chooses to be on the defensive. I truly believe he has no connection to the attack."

Red looked at Pink, before he looked back up at Kaen, as Mina was holding him tight, trying to feed him a Senzu Bean, while Eri was just hugging him.

"How about it? Are you more willing to talk now?" Kaen asked as Ranga came to their side. "First… let me heal up real quick."

Kaen carefully sat up, with the help of Mina before accepting the Senzu Bean she had been trying to feed him. To the Ogre's shock, Kaen's arm grew back as if it had never been severed to begin with.

"That's better." Kaen said, taking his severed arm, and removing the shield from it.

"Why the hell didn't you take the damn Senzu Bean earlier?" Mina questioned, her eyes full of tears, as she hit him in the arm.

"Sorry, but I had to prove to them we weren't the enemy, and I thought by being at my weakest would be the only way to do so." Kaen said, pulling her in for a hug.

"Tell us who you are, really." Red stated.

"My name's Kaen. I'm the leader of a Hobgoblin Village a couple miles to the East from us." The Saiyan teen said. "This is my wife Mina, and our daughter Eri. If you're looking for refuge, we'd be more then happy to accommodate that."

"Seriously?" Red questioned. "Even after we attacked you?"

"Why not?" Kaen asked. "This whole thing happened because of a misunderstanding that we managed to settle without anyone dying. Plus, you look like you could use the rest, and some descent food."

"Besides, Kaen isn't really one to hold a grudge over something like a misunderstanding." Mina stated, wiping the tears away from her face.

"You're looking for a Majin in a mask, right?" Kaen asked, picking his up. "It's a little busted up, but you're free to inspect mine if you wish. I only found out about the mask feature this morning."

"Very well." Red stated, taking the mask and examining it. "It does seem similar, but…"

"This one is silver, and most likely made of metal, while the mask worn by the Majin was white, and made with some sort of magic." Pink said, looking the mask over herself.

"This isn't the mask of the Majin who attacked our village." White said.

"So then that means…" Red paused as he took a knee, bowing to Kaen. "Forgive us. We were too quick to judge, and behaved rashly. Please accept my apology."

"Hey, come on now, no need for that." Kaen said. "I'm not mad. Sure I'm a little annoyed you attacked without properly assessing the situation, but neither side suffered any losses."

"Kaen, you should probably talk somewhere else." Mina said. "Head back to the village with the Ogres, while the hunting party continues hunting food for tonight's feast."

"I'm gonna hunt some more." Eri said running to Rigur.

"Oh no, you're coming back to the village as well." Kaen said, grabbing Eri by her shirt and lifting her off the ground.

"But Papa…"

"No buts. I'm glad you wanna help, but hunting grounds are no place for a child. Let Mama and the others continue their hunt." Kaen said.

"Okay Papa." Eri pouted.

"That's my girl." Kaen stated, before turning back to the Ogres. "But like I said, you're welcome to join us in our village." He said as he put Eri down on Ranga's back.

"Are you sure?" Red questioned. "We were enemies just minutes ago."

"Of course, I'd like to hear what happened to you." Kaen smiled.

"But we attacked you, and wounded your companions." Red reminded.

"An' we put the hurt on some of yours. But hey, no one kicked the bucket, so we're cool." Kaen countered.

"Young man…" White said, stepping up to Kaen before bowing to him. "I give my sincerest apologies for what I did to you, and tried to do to your family. It was unforgivable."

"I get that it was just a misunderstanding, and you were angry. But it's gonna be a while, before I can actually put my full trust in you for doing that." Kaen said.

"I understand." White said. 'Damn it all. I can't believe I allowed myself to stoop to such dishonorable and abhorred tactics, as attacking a defenseless child. I am a disgrace to my clan.'

"Besides, we're having a huge feast today. More people, just means more fun." Kaen said. "But I am giving you forewarning, the one we're holding the feast fore wears a mask as well. A keepsake from a friend of his, who recently passed away."

"I'll undo the sleep spell I put on your comrades." Pink smiled.

~Celebration Feast~

All was quiet in the Goblin Village, as everyone was waiting in anticipation for Rimuru to eat some of the prepared food given to him by the Goblin chef. They were all waiting anxiously as he picked up the meat on a stick and chowed down on it. The Goblins looked on, gasping when he ate the food.

"C'mon Rimuru, don't leave them in suspense. Tell them what you think so we can get this party started." Kaen sighed with an amused smile.

"It's good." Rimuru cheered.

"Did you have to be so dramatic about it?" Mina inquired.

"Sorry, I just have a thing for the theatrics." Rimuru said, eating another meat stick. "Now let's get this party started."

The Hobgoblins cheered and the party commenced. The Ogre's joined in, but Red, White, and Blue weren't all too into the partying mood. An' soon, their group knew why, as Red told their story, as White, Black, and Red sat in their group, consisting of Kaen, Rigur, Rigurd, Kaijin, and the Goblina Haruna serving them food and drink, while Blue lingered in the shadows.

"Wait, you mean to tell me that Orc's attacked Ogre's?" Kaijin questioned, nearly coughing up his drink. "That's crazy."

"But it's the truth." Red said.

"I can't believe it, can you?" Kaijin questioned Rigurd.

"It is surprising." Rigurd said.

"Orc's attacking Ogre's. That just doesn't seem natural, and yet I don't see any reason for you to lie about this, given our encounter in the forest earlier." Kaen said, drinking from a mug of ale.

"Wait, so does that mean it's a big deal?" Gobta asked, joining in on the conversation.

"Hey Gobta." Rigur greeted.

"A very big deal." Kaen stated as Haruna refilled his mug. "Compared to Orcs, Ogres are superior in both strength, and species. The fact that they were able to do so, must mean the Orcs weren't working alone. I don't wanna be discriminatory, but my encounters with Orcs doesn't suggest they're smart enough to consider doing something like this on their own."

"Regardless of what you all think, the Orcs did attack the Ogre Village. Our village!" Red exclaimed.

"An' no one's saying you're lying. I for one believe what you're telling us right now. All we're saying is this information's a bit hard to swallow, when compared to what we know." Kaen said. "Why don't you tell us what you saw?"

There was a moment of silence, before Red began to retell the story of what happened to his people.

"The Orc Army struck our village in the dead of night." Red began. "They had weapons, and wore armor. Their numbers filled the forest, and overwhelmed us. Those detestable Pigs, destroyed our homes, and our people."

"Orcs wearing armor?" Kaijin questioned.

"That's right, similar to what humans wear. It was full plate mail." Red explained.

"That can only mean one thing." Kaijin said.

"That Lord Kaen was correct, the Orc's aren't working alone. Someone's helping them." Rigurd said.

"It would make sense, as they wouldn't be able to get valuable armor like that by themselves." Kaijin said. "Nor would they be able to make it without the proper ore and tools needed. Orcs are more agricultural creatures, not weapon or armor smiths."

"I'm assuming it's safe to say, that this person who's backing them, is the Masked Majin you mistook me for!" Kaen stated.

"You would be correct." Red exclaimed.

"A Masked Majin?" Kaijin inquired.

"It was extremely powerful, I'm certain."

"When you saw Lord Kaen in the forest, you believed it was him, and that's why you attacked." Rigurd said.

"Yes." Red acknowledged

"My mask triggered the memories of that painful night for you all, and that's why it happened."

"So what does that mean?" Gobta inquired.

"It's only a guess, but it could mean that the Orc's have sided with a Demon Lord." Rigur theorized. "It's hard to know for sure."

"Uh, yeah I knew that." Gobta said.

"Stop lying Gobta. It makes you look dumber then you already are." Kaen sighed, eating one of his servings.

"A Demon Lord." Kaijin said.

"Perhaps, but why side with Orc's?" Rigurd inquired.

"I don't know, but of our 300 brethren, only six of us managed to escape them with our lives." Red stated.

"I see, no wonder you were so upset." Rimuru said, joining their group.

"Are you finished feasting, Minister Rimuru?" Red inquired with a playful smile.

"Minister?" Rimuru asked, looking to Kaen.

"Hey I had to give you some title. You are the one in charge of village security and agriculture." Kaen smiled. "But the question still stands, are you finished with feasting?"

"I'm just taking a break." Rimuru said.

"If I may be so bold to ask, what kind of monster are you?" Red inquired.

"That's an easy one. I'm a Slime." Rimuru smiled.

"Seriously?" Red inquired. "But you're giving off an immense amount of magical energy, far stronger then any Slime should."

"That's a long story." Rimuru said.

"I think they need proof Rimuru." Kaen snickered.

Rimuru nodded and turned back to look at the Ogre, before his body turned blue, and he took on his slime form.

"Incredible." Red stated.

"I know right?" Kaijin asked. "The last wish of the friend of his who passed, was to be buried within his body, so in exchange for doing that, he gained a human form."

"Complete with taste buds and everything." Rimuru said, before returning to his humanoid form.

"Why don't you go back to the party Rimuru. I'm sure you're gonna want some more food, before Mina and Eri eat the rest of it."

"You got it." Rimuru smiled.

Once Rimuru was gone, Kaen looked back to Red, and a somber look crossed his face.

"You know, if anyone could comprehend, or even understand your troubles about losing your home, and your people, it's me." The Saiyan said.

"Forgive me Lord Kaen, but I do not see what you are getting at." Red stated.

"I am… not someone you'd normally hear about. I am what is known as a Saiyan." Kaen stated. "For nearly three generations, most of my people served under the tyranny of a couple dictators, known as Cold, and then his son Frieza. Then when Frieza became fearful of our potential, of our ability to grow stronger in battle, he no longer had a use for us, despite my people comprising at least half his forces."

"My Lord?" Rigurd asked.

"So, once that happened, he gathered us all together. Well most of us, but that didn't matter to him. He still did what he set out to do, and destroyed our home, as well as every person gathered there under his order, leaving only a handful of us left, similarly to you and the Orc situation."

"I see. That… that is unfortunate." Red stated.

"What's even more unfortunate, is everything I just told you, had been told to me by my mother, who was one of the few who managed to survive. I was only a day old at the time." Kaen said. "I spent a good portion of my childhood, not knowing who or what I was, until my older brother, tried selling me and my sister off for experiments to a madman, who wanted to rule the world. Even before then he had revealed the truth to us, but we didn't listen, we just didn't listen to his words."

"Why not?" White asked.

"My brother Celeron… was stuck in the old ways." Kaen said, leaning back, propped up with one arm. "He was adamant about rebuilding the Saiyan Empire back to its former glory, while I wasn't. Neither was my sister Athena."

"Why not?" Kaijin asked, seeming quite curious about this himself.

"I wanted to be a hero, and follow in my idols footsteps. I knew if I followed in Celeron's lead, I'd be no better then a villain." Kaen stated, drinking from his mug. "My sister, wanted to follow in our uncle's footsteps, and be someone who could support the heroes by keeping their gear battle ready. Similar to you Kaijin."

"So what became of your brother after that?" Rigur asked.

"He… became a villain." Kaen sighed. "I can't help but feel that I may have had a hand in that. He probably felt like I abandoned him, didn't believe in him."

"Don't put that on yourself." White said. "You did what you thought was best, and followed your heart, like a true warrior."

"Like a Prince even." Kaijin smiled.

"Well, truth be told. I actually do have royal blood in my veins." Kaen said, surprising the others. "I'm from a branched off section of the royal Saiyan bloodline. But my people valued strength and pride, over character and honor. An' an ancestor of mine was born weak, so once she was old enough to be on her own, she was exiled from the castle, while still remaining in the Kingdom. Or so my mom told me."

"That's still a pretty big deal." Red stated. "Does that mean your daughter is royalty as well?"

"Mmm, I guess you could say that." Kaen snickered, looking over his shoulder to see Eri dancing with Pink, while Mina was dancing with purple. "But unlike me, she doesn't have royal blood flowing through her veins. Eri's adopted."

"What brought this about I wonder." White asked.

"That's a story meant for another time. Right now, we gotta get back to you, and what you're gonna do from here." Kaen smiled. "Your sister is amazing, by the way. Eri really seems to like being around her, despite what had happened earlier, and Mina can't get enough, girl talk, with her on anything. She seems very knowledgeable about herbs, spices, and other subjects similar."

"She was a very sheltered child, I'm sure it makes her happy to be relied upon." Red said with a smile. "An' she was always good with the kids from our village."

"So, what are you gonna do now?" Kaen inquired.

"Wait, what?"

"What's gonna be your next move? Are you gonna rebuild your village? Or maybe relocate somewhere else?" Kaen asked. "Your comrades are depending on your leadership aren't they? An' from one leader to another, that responsibility is tough to handle."

"That's easy. Once we regroup, we'll go back for revenge." Red stated.

"Do you know where the Orcs even are?" Rimuru questioned.

Red just froze, before he took a big swig of his booze.

"That tells me you got no idea." Kaen sighed with a smile. "Mind if I make a suggestion?"

"That depends on what this suggestion may be." White stated.

"How about you guys join me, and become my subordinates?" Kaen said.

"Join, you?" Red inquired.

"Yeah, I know our village is small, and we can't give you much, but I do have food, shelter, and clothing. You need a home base, right?" Kaen asked.

"We do. But that might get your village involved in our path for revenge." Red stated.

"Well, I'm not just offering this as a favor to you guys." Kaen sighed. "The truth is, you said that there were thousands of armed Orcs who attacked your home village right? An' then there's the possibility that there might be a Demon Lord pulling the strings."

"There's also the possibility that it's part of a devilish plot, to take over, the Great Forest of Jura." Rigurd added.

"Which would mean, our little village is also in danger." Kaen stated. "Now I'm strong, you know that, but I'm no deity and even I have my limits, and weaknesses. You guys are strong, and adding numbers to our ranks will only benefit both our parties in the end. An' then, if you got into a fight or something, we'd help you all out. I'd never abandon a friend. An' neither would Mina, or Eri for that matter. What kind of leader would that make me?"

"I see." Red sighed. "Please let me give it some thought."

"Sure." Kaen said. "Take all the time you need. On that note, it's time I got my hands in on the all you can eat meat buffet. I might wanna get some before everyone else eats it all." He smiled, getting up and walking off.

Getting up from where he was, Red went into the forest to collect his thoughts, pausing momentarily as he passed by Blue.

"It's not a bad offer." Blue said. "Still though, it's your choice to make. We'll do whatever you and the Princess choose."

Red remained silent, as he headed deeper into the forest, before he slammed his fist into the tree in anger.

"If only I were stronger." He growled.

~The Following Morning~

"Have you decided?" Kaen questioned, sitting on the edge of his bed in his and Mina's hut, with Rimuru and Mina at his sides.

"Yes, the Ogre's are a warring clan, as such, we aren't opposed to fighting under others. If our master is strong, we are more then pleased to serve them." Red stated, standing across from the three leaders of the village. "An' you've more then proven yourself a strong master."

"You do realize, that you'll also be taking orders from Mina and myself, as well right?" Rimuru said.

"I am aware of that." Red acknowledged, before looking at Kaen. "Although, we will only serve you, until we defeat the Orcs."

"Once we win, you can do whatever you want." Kaen said. "You're free to choose your own paths from then on, whether that's staying to help us build a nation, or going your own way to find where you truly belong."

"In that case, I accept your offer." Red stated, taking a knee and bowing to Kaen, Mina, and Rimuru. "Myself, and the other Ogre's, shall serve under you."

"Good." Kaen said. "Lift your head. Thank you for accepting. Call in the others."

"Right."

A short while later, as the Ogres stood before Rimuru, with Rigurd standing off to the side, with Rimuru standing at the head of the group, as the Saiyan Leader, looked at the Ogres in front of him, contemplating what he was gonna do next.

"Alright Rimuru, you've got this from here." Kaen said.

"Right." Rimuru acknowledged. "I'll give you name's, to mark you as my subordinates."

"Kaen, you sure that's a good idea?" Mina asked, looking at her husband. "Remember what happened when he named all the Goblins and then Ranga in the village?"

"That won't happen this time, there are only six of them." Rimuru said.

"To all of us my Lord?" Red inquired.

"Why wouldn't I? It makes things easier." Rimuru said.

"Are you sure?" Red inquired.

"Please, don't do this. Naming someone uses a lot of power and is very risky. An' we're already strong." Pink said.

"It'll be fine, you don't have to worry about me." Rimuru smiled. "Besides, it's part of my job as Minister."

"But…"

"Are you trying to tell me that you'd rather pass on the name thing?" Rimuru inquired.

"Well, not exactly." Pink said.

"We accept." Red stated firmly.

"Big Brother." Pink complained.

"It would be our honor."

"We will do, whatever the young master wishes." White stated.

"Alright then, it's settled. You're all getting names." Rimuru smiled, stepping up the Red first. "Your name will be…"

That was the last thing Rimuru could recall, as he began to fall over, with Mina catching him.

"Here we go again." The Saiyan woman sighed, as everything went dark for the Slime.
