"This traffic is horrendous! They don't even notice my indicator flashing. Oh, but what a place. It's smaller than I thought Clara would have picked out… but it's very Asian-inspired, for a - a horse ranch. God, the smell! But oh, the hors-ees! Perhaps I shouldn't have slammed my car door… "

"Grace?"

"Hiiii, Clara! Great to see you."

"It's only been ten years."

"Well. You know… "

"Come in, I guess."

"That's such a cool dress. I wish I could fit into Anna Rex."

"Usually, it's any old thing since the horses will just muddy it up."

"Do you have a favourite hors-ee?"

"Stop talking like a child."

"... sorry. I guess it's just a habit from old times. Where's Snake?"

"You mean David?"

"... well, you used to call him Snake all the time."

"That was before I caught him. He's making sure we're all safe."

"We?"

"Me - and keeping Max out of trouble. Adam, as you know, lives in that house up on that hill that used to be for rehabbing druggos and lunatics."

"Are you still - is he still in that life?"

"It was David who kept us in the green. He saw an opportunity, a decade ago which you know, which crippled an opposing faction who would do harm to this city, and since the funds could not go to any rival faction who would do the same, they came to us . And so David keeps us safe - but he cannot be everywhere."

"And you love him?"

"Duh. What's not to love?"

"Well, Johnny spends time out of the house, too… "

"In some silly movie studio."

"What do you do, Clara? I mean, do you just sit around raising horses?"

"Do I live like Adam, do you mean?"

"Well, all three of my cousins are obscenely rich… "

"You're curious, I get it. But there's no great reveal. I'm just married to a mercenary and living a quiet life. I drive out in my Banshee for a latte or out to the Palomino Highlands to listen to the waves. I don't care for the high life like Max, but I don't want to be cooped up like Adam. Did you expect more?"

"No… but I'm just at a loss, Clara."

"For money?"

"I don't know what I'm doing . Even having a kid doesn't fulfill me. It's just - some days, it's just tiring. And I had a maid back in Liberty City."

"Boo-hoo for you."

"Clara!"

"Life's hard whichever way you look at it."

"But you have David - and lots of money."

"You cannot think that completes me totally. You think I know what is on his mind? You think I don't know time is ticking? I don't want a child, and then I do. Some days I regret being married - or even having money. Sometimes I think the struggle is more worth than having the money - and then you see on Weazel News - and it is hard out there. It's basically hustling yourself. But being rich isn't the answer, either."

"Max said I should medicate, like those wealthy wives who shop along Portola Drive."

"Don't pretend you're not one of them."

"I couldn't be, not back in Liberty City."

"You are one of them. Everyone fits into some category. Nobody is truly unique."

"I think you are, Clara. I've always looked up to you."

"You wouldn't like what you see. Because behind it all, I'm just a regular person. And when you realise that, you'd find someone else to look up to, because you, as yourself, have no strong will."

"That hurts… "

" Life hurts. Now do you want me to show you the horses, or are you going to sit there and cry?"

"No. I'll follow… that's what I've always done… "
