Frankie Pov:
"I don't believe in violence. Growing up I was briefed about the struggles between humans and monsters, what I was able to understand is their afraid what might happen if monsters continued to roam around. This is why my parents and others remain hidden to keep everyone calm and not think about anything terrifying or bad. Kaiju's however, it's a way of life for them. Struggling to claim dominance over others along present themselves as top of the food chain, similar to lions in the animal kingdom. I along Clawdeen still believe that there could be common grounds for Junior to establish a means of him being a king, yet with the strange gift that he presented during our stay at Clawdeen's home might prove difficult. Yet that doesn't mean I'm not up for the challenge, I know that there's a way for everyone to get along. Even if it sounds hard, it'll be worth it in the end."
Monster High-Gymnasium
The semester has started back up and the students were returning to the school with different types of stories to share. Godzilla Junior however is being threatened by a Kaiju who offered him a stuffed toy that represented what might happen to him if he meets the mysterious gift giver. Right now at the gym was Junior who was doing several jabs and punches at a punching bag thinking about the letter that he was given.
"Although this is a night of friendship and comfort to fellow monsters and Kaiju, this is our gift to you. For when we usurp you."
Remembering how it sounded peaceful since it was delivered on a holiday. However, when he took a better look at the present, he knew that it was a sign that the stranger knew how to hurt him. Continuing to throw several punches at the bag not stopping as he continued to think about what Kaiju wanted to send that gift. Most of the Kaiju he's seen were either not interested or got the message of how strong he had become over the past few weeks.
"Literally. I have everything going alright, no type of issues or no threatening anyone. Now all of a sudden, I'm being challenged by someone that thinks they can hurt me. Can't I catch a damn break?!"
Letting his emotion take over and throwing a right hook against the sandbag which sent it flying in midair and hitting the wall hard enough to make a hole straight through. The lizard felt a bit embarrassed about the moment and decided to take a break since he might break something else in the weight room.
"Is the room being used?"
A voice called out which seemed both nervous and uncertain Junior looked at the entrance seeing a minotaur with blonde hair who looked nervous about entering the room. The Kaiju took a moment to get look at him noticing that he was nervous, even with a strong look since minotaurs are considered strong. The one in front of him seemed different, and it wasn't because of the broken horn on the left side of his head.
"Sure. Manny Taur, right?"
Junior guessed his name since he didn't have time to meet him during his arrival at Monster High. Though he was briefed by Draculaura that she saw him as a rival when it came to getting the best scores in class subjects. Though from his nervous personality, it didn't seem that Manny was the competitive type.
"Yes actually, not exactly the one to be noticed that much. I guess it's because most people think that if we see red will go ballistic on the spot."
Confirming his name and how he kept to himself since minotaurs can be hard to stop if they saw anything red and uncontrollable. Junior could relate when he lets his emotion take over and almost destroy anything with his breath, luckily that hasn't happened yet. Manny walked over to the lifts and decided to use the small ones before going to the bigger ones. Deciding to get some water the Kaiju decided to take the opportunity with Manny to ask him some questions since he was another intellectual monster here at the school.
"Tell me something Manny, have there been any type of Kaiju's that was. Bad? Like they got detention or considered the 'unruly' ones."
Questioning him on the possibility of certain Kaiju that preferred to be bad and cause any type of trouble for their delight. Manny took a moment to think about it as the look on his face answered Junior's question about several 'bad' Kaiju in Monster High.
"Well, that's on who we considered 'bad'. If we're talking about that they are like Toralie, trying to prove themselves both tough and having a strong presence. Several Kaiju aren't like that. Few of them that were graduated and left Monster High leaving to change. But there was one that my parents told me about, but that was a long time ago."
Informing Godzilla Junior how the suggestion of a bad Kaiju hadn't been around for a while but knew one that attended Monster High. Curious about how this could help him pin down this 'challenger' the Kaiju took a chance to take a seat letting Manny explain his story to him.
"When Monster High was made, numerous communities of monsters were suspicious about it since it resided in a realm filled with more intimidating creatures unlike them. However, Gojira and Pandora assured them that they'd be welcome here. And like always there are the individuals who didn't like the idea."
Manny starts with the school's beginnings which involved the concept of letting their children attend a school that was in another realm where it was filled with dangerous beings. Junior knew that notion since the beginning was rough for most Kaiju since they became the same size as monsters, and they wanted to attack Gojira and Pandora. They didn't have much of a chance due to the former king's reputation and Pandora having unimaginable magic at the palm of her hands.
"Most of them thanked the two since they could get a perspective on what it was like being small. Except, one of them didn't take the offer. No one remembered his name, though my parents remembered how the two fought each other."
Stating in a nervous tone due to how his parents told him the story between Gojira and the Kaiju that went against his idea of this realm being shared with monsters and sacrificing their titanic size. Going into his bag where he pulled out one of the books from the library that was about Kaiju fights in the past. Sitting by his side letting Junior get a good look at one of the images, Junior's eyes were shocked at the sight of what Manny showed him. His father Gojira fighting what looked like a living storm, shrouded in smoke and clouds with red eyes staring at him along with lighting sparking across the ground.
"I could make several references from metal albums and comics of one man against a nightmare."
Godzilla Junior spoke his mind about what he was staring at since it looked like the author who did the sketch work for the fight wasn't able to get a full look at the Kaiju. Manny nodded sadly as this was the only image of what fought Gojira and survived the fight, the next image showed the storm leaving the king standing with several wounds on him and others watching the storm making its departure.
"No one knows what happened to the storm Kaiju or where it left. Yet there was one thing that Pandora did was use her magic to shrink him halfway, meaning anyone will be able to see it since the storm didn't desire to be our size."
Stating that before it could escape the witch used her spell to make him halfway small so that it couldn't attack anyone else along unable to hide if it ever returns. Reading the book made him question that the gift giver could be this 'storm' Kaiju who's seeking revenge on him. Keeping the thought to himself and trying his best to not look serious near Manny, he decided to call it an evening and return back to his dorm room.
"Thanks for the history lesson, it still surprises me whenever I learn something about my dad."
Complementing the minotaur for sharing the book with him as well the small history lesson about a Kaiju that went against the idea of shrinking. Manny smiled at how he was able to help out Junior since it was still surprising that he met someone who came from a powerful Kaiju like Gojira.
"My pleasure, really I've never met anyone interested in the past since everyone likes to enjoy the future. My parents tell me that when I got accepted into Monster High, they got that lesson from their old teacher Dr. Blunder."
Manny telling him a saying that his parents told him when it came to what made everything current today. However, the last part caught him off as Junior slowly turned towards Manny with a questionable look about the last part he said. The same doctor that Frankie believed was cursed and led to them learning they weren't and gaining a Franken beast as a pet.
"Everything ok?"
The minotaur asking Junior since the look on his face had the lizard Kaiju thinking that instead of thinking like a Kaiju. He should think like a monster since there had to be a reason behind their work here at the school. Nodding to Manny who still looked confused about Junior's silence, this left the Kaiju to leave the weight room realizing he may have found a way to get a head start on whoever want to fight him. Watzie was the key, meaning he would have to explain to the ghouls about what was going on.
Later-Ghoul's Dorm Room
Returning back to the shared room and seeing his friends at their beds doing their own business. Junior informed them about what he had learned along a way for him to figure out if the same Kaiju that his dad battle had come back for revenge, leaving Frankie's pet the key to helping him locate the Kaiju. They listened to his explanation about how the pet could help him figure out the challenger's identity, except only had one questioning brewing around in each of their minds.
"Why not got to headmistress Bloodgood? I mean we have someone who's in charge of the school and can handle this."
Clawdeen questioning Junior that instead venturing into another exploration that could lead them into either learning another secret hidden from the school and ending up in danger. They could do the opposite and seek help from Bloodgood who can help find whoever is threatening him. Junior shook his head at that the solution since while it may be safe it'll lead to complications.
"Going to her will only complicate the situation and make the guy or girl suspicious and try another way to get my attention. Along the matter that Dr. Blunder had a reason for making Watzie in the first place, right Frankie?"
Junior stating to her about how Frankie was connected to this issue as the two ghouls looked over to Frankie as they had an uncertain look about what he was saying. Looking over to the Franken beast that was sleeping in a bed peacefully as well feeling concern for his safety.
"Yes. It's true, Dr. Blunder made Watzie to be a protector of the school. In the case of Gojira unable to protect Monster High but couldn't continue due to the 'curse' incident. Still, I don't think Watzie can help with what you're asking."
Explaining how they kept this secret to themself since Frankie didn't want the others to be worried about this matter since this type of trouble could get them into danger. Similar to Clawdeen trying to become a full monster only to learn be used by Komos and almost destroying the school.
"This is different Frankie. Because now there is someone protecting the school, me. Might sound corny but that's the truth, and if there's a chance to stopping another monster or Kaiju that has problem with Monster High then I'm going be the one to handle it."
Trying his best to explain to Frankie and the others that he'll be the one to handle this alone without any of them getting involved. While he saw the looks on each of their faces from Clawdeen not liking the idea of him going off on his own like when he left the school in order to protect them. Frankie's which was a sadden look due to holding this information from him due to the fear of him rushing right towards the danger, Draculaura was at disbelief of what Junior said as it merely made her chuckle at his statement.
"Is that you think? That when something involving you have to stop it. Maybe you should remember that night when Komos was going hurt you we slowed him down. Frankie using chemicals to blind him, my magic to get you away from our friends and Clawdeen scratching him with the scalpel you made for her. You weren't the one who stopped Komos, we all did."
The vampire making a full explanation about how each of them remembered when Komos showed his true colors and planned on hurting anyone who stood in his way. While he hated the idea of what she said was true, it was different since they were more to him than just friends. They were ghouls that weren't afraid of him or would use his title for their own benefit. While also that he could get them hurt if they were in his way or get involve in the fight.
"I just don't want you all to get hurt because of my responsibility. Especially if I lose control of myself, because I still can't forget what I did to our teacher."
Sounding both sadden and ashamed about his actions that showed the school his true nature. While both monsters and Kaiju rejoice in a new king being introduced to the realm, he still felt terrible for his actions and ending Komos's life that night. Clawdeen saw how he looked upset at himself and walked over to him thinking of a way to help him with this conflict he was feeling.
"He wasn't going stop, I saw it in his eyes. That anger, he planned on doing more if he beat you and destroyed Monster High. Which is why you shouldn't let it consume you, that's why we're here. To make sure you don't feel like this."
Offering her support and the others showing that they wouldn't let him feel like a monster. While the three were distracted with this confession from Junior, Watzie soon woke up from his bed as his cybernetic eye began to glow as he looked around the room. Looking at Junior the small dog walked over to nibble on his tail trying to get the lizard's attention as well the others.
"I guess even Watzie is telling you that you're not alone."
Frankie offering him a compliment as the lizard smiled at how the dog was getting to notice him. Yet there was more to this as Watzie ran outside of the room which meant something for Junior as he and the others followed after the Franken beast. Following Watzie down the stairs and into the hallway of the school, they didn't notice passing by Deuce and Mira who were talking to Cleo and Caeser.
"Where in the Sphinx are they running off to?"
"Don't know, but I bet it looks fun."
Decue telling Cleo as the four decided to follow after the group while they were following Watzie. Continuing their way, the dog walked towards the same bookshelf that led into the catacombs. Stopping right where Watzie was standing the dog was barking towards them trying to tell them something important.
"Apologies for following without asking but what's going on?"
Mira asking the others since whatever was happening since the moth girl was sensing a lot of emotion from each of the monsters and Kaiju. Junior looking at one of the books on the shelf he remembered the same open that allowed them entrance into the catacombs. Pulling one from the side it caused the shelf to rise from the wall showing a secret entrance which was lined with stone walls and several torches lightening the path that everyone was looking at.
"Junior's been challenged to a Kaiju that his dad fought and Watzie is going to lead us to it. Which is in the catacombs, the one area in all of Monster High that no one visits because of dangerous it is."
Draculaura briefing them about what was happening as it seemed serious since this challenge involved going somewhere that was underneath the school. Watzie made his way into the tunnel guiding Junior as the others saw him make his way into the catacombs, not knowing what was awaiting him or the others.
Within the Catacombs
Watzie guided the way down the tunnels the small group was making their way down into the catacombs noticing how they were still changing like a labyrinth. Junior kept focused on what this Kaiju might be like since the image from Manny's book as the kaiju could possess electricity, something he hasn't exactly dealt with in the past. Meanwhile, the others were informing them about what was happening while also learning about what was happening when they passed by Cleo and Deuce.
"I was just showing him my new amulet that I got from my dad that allows me to teleport anywhere. Yet comes with the usual rules including moving around in one area, so I suggested to Deuce and Mira to go to the mall so we can test it out. That's when you all came rushing right by us."
Cleo explains her new amulet to the gorgon and moth girl on how they could benefit from the amulet before joining this trip to see another Kaiju fight that Junior will win. Meanwhile, Caeser could tell differently from this 'adventure' they were having as he wanted to talk with Clawdeen and the others.
"Do you know where exactly where we are heading to? Because not even I know where the catacombs can lead since it's a risk of traveling within it."
Questioning where exactly they were going since the one time, he tried to use the catacombs was to find a pair of earrings that were located in the mad science lab. He ended up at the botanical garden that had several carnivorous plants that almost bit his hands off.
"All I can tell you is Watzie was made to be a guardian for the school if Gojira was ever taken out. Except, Junior is here so I think he's leading us to where the Kaiju might be. I hope we can convince whoever it is to stop."
Responding to him as Clawdeen can tell that the Franken beast would be able to figure out where the Kaiju was located as they ventured deeper into the catacombs. Thinking that they had found a dead end with there not many torches being lit, Watzie's robotic eye soon glowed pointing at a solid rock like wall gesturing they needed to get through.
"I guess we need to get through, might as well get this over with fast."
Junior suggested as he was going to punch right through it and make an entrance for the group. Except Frankie stopped him as they recognized the pattern edged into the rock, taking a moment they slowly began reassembling the rocks into the proper formation. Everyone waited in silence to see what Frankie was doing as they saw how it was slowly forming a monster like a pupil staring at them.
"You know if we survive this encounter maybe we should try those human escape games that Clawdeen talks about. I feel like I'd win them in an instant."
Suggesting to them a group activity before hearing the walls making sounds before the stones suddenly broke apart showing the group a room. It was a large arena styled room that surprised each of the young creatures as it had symbols from several monster species. Werewolf, Mummy, Vampire to even Franken creatures. Speechless at the sight and taking a moment to look around admiring the style as well as how it hadn't been visited for ages, Junior tried to sniff out for the Kaiju that might be present in the room.
"You should leave now before something else happens, I got a feeling you won't get that option once it starts."
Informing them about leaving as it seemed the others weren't going let leave him here to handle whatever was going to fight him. Cleo hearing that option was going to suggest they leave just in case things got ugly, except the entrance for them closed up leaving everyone trapped in the room. Feeling the tension amongst the group and how there were no other means to leave the room, Clawdeen heard a rock falling ground above them meaning the Kaiju was in the room with them.
"The 'guardian' has done its objective, good."
A voice speaking from the shadows as the group looked upwards seeing where the voice was coming from above the statues. They saw a figure walking from behind the werewolf statue appearing in a hood and disclosing their appearance. Watzie growled at the strange leaving Frankie to pick him up concern about what they were staring at.
"A hood? I guess you've been watching some mythology movies because you're acting like Hades right now. Going try and make a deal with us?"
Deuce asking the stranger and making a joke about the look which made the others look confused at the gorgon for asking the being that peculiar question. While it was a way to catch the stranger off guard, they saw through the shadowy hood a set of red eyes looking at them showing a hostile glare aimed right at Godzilla Junior.
"Well actually we just wanted to meet you face to face. Better to get to present ourselves before rushing to the dramatic fight."
The stranger's voice changing from serious as the group got confused by the sudden change in voice since it sounded more friendly than intimidating. The Kaiju got annoyed by the comment as it seemed the group were going question the sudden change in tone of voice. Deciding to end the suspense the Kaiju removed his hood showing face, which was a serpent dragon head that had two separate heads on one body. No one knew who this Kaiju was except for Watzie as the dog was barking at the Kaiju in an aggressive manner not letting the Kaiju near Frankie or the others.
"Our name is Ghidorah. Son of Keizer Ghidorah. And we've come for the king's head."
Introducing themselves to the group along radiating electricity from his body in an intimidating manner while growling Junior in a threatening manner. The monster teens were silent not knowing how to response since they could feel the tension rising, while for Junior gripped his knuckles preparing for a fight that he felt like he would need to not hold back if he was going protect his friends and get out of the catacombs alive.
