CHAPTER 7
A Land of Monsters
Ancient Greece (Altered Beast): Acropolis
The portal appeared, and Sonic Prime along with the Pokémon Trainers and two electric mice Pokémon appeared from it. They were in a pantheon but at the same time there were structures from the ancient Greece era.
"Where are we?" Yellow asked the blue hedgehog.
"Pika?" Chuchu replied as a question.
"Looks like we're in a pantheon but at the same time there are structures." Prime answered.
"That must be another universe too." Red said, watching the place.
"Pika." Pika replied with his usual language.
"We don't know if more Soulless could be here too." Crystal said while being aware.
"Possibly the others should be here." Emerald said, wondering about the missing Pokémon trainers.
"It's true, we should keep going." Sapphire said.
They nodded and walked across the pantheon. The place was too quiet, but it's better not to down the guard in quiet places like this one.
"It's too quiet." Green said while watching the place.
Just when they were going, suddenly green zombies wearing purple ragged robes, but they had the skeleton skull's exposed popped out from the ground and surrounded the group.
"What are those creatures?" Silver asked, referring to the undead warriors.
"Are they Soulless?" Gold asked.
"I don't think so, they don't have the crimson aura like they usually have." Prime answered while explaining about them
There are a total of six undead beings known as Slow Foots, the six were moaning like zombies at the group.
"They look so creepy…!" Yellow said, a bit afraid of the Slow Foots.
"We gotta fight against them!" Silver said, getting ready to fight.
Then Red with Yellow called their own Pikachu to fight against the foes Digimon while Gold called Suntaro, Crystal called Bonee and Silver called Weavile, apparently the five Pokémon equal the level of the foes Digimon. Prime used Focused Homing Attack against one Slow Foot defeating him instantly, Pika used Thunder Wave to paralyze the second one before defeating him with Iron Tail, Chuchu did the same technique as Pika to defeat the third Slow Foot, Sunflora defeated the fourth Slow Foot by using Energy Ball, Bonee used Bone Rush to hit multiple times the fifth Slow Foot before finishing off with Headbutt and Weavile used Night Slash to defeat the last undead enemy.
"That was easy." Gold said before trying to call back Suntaro.
"Wait, let's keep them outside in case more enemies appear." Red suggested Gold and he nodded, then Silver and Crystal followed the same idea.
"There will be more of them?" Green asked the leader of the group.
"Possibly yes." Prime answered before speaking to the group. "Let's go."
They nodded before following the leader of the group, also Blue called Alakazam while Green called Abra, Ruby called Kiki, Sapphire called Dono, and Emerald called Mr. Mime, and as they were advancing more enemies like Slow Foots and new ones called Lascert Wolf which is a two-headed wolf, however they fought against them, the Pokémon who fought against the previous enemies used their known moves while Alakazam and Mr. Mime attack by using Shadow Ball, Abra attacks by using Hidden Power, Kiki used Hidden Power and Dono uses Rock Tomb and managed to defeat the enemies.
"Okay, we visited a haunted palace, then I shouldn't be scared of new monsters appearing in a pantheon." Gold said while remembering when they visited the Palace of Versailles.
Just as they were going to exit from the pantheon the group was surrounded by three Werewolves and two Zombies Soulless.
"I should have imagined that they would be waiting for us!" Red said, knowing the Soulless could appear here.
Red and Yellow decided to call back their own Pikachu before both trainers called Blasty and Dody, Crystal called back Bonee before calling Archy and Green called back Abra before calling Jiggly for the battle. A Werewolf Soulless lunged at Prime but he performed an upper kick hitting the lower jaw of the lycanthrope-like Soulless and followed by using Grand Slam, Blasty followed by using Mega Punch and Water Pulse and Dody used Swords Dance before using Drill Peck and Prime finished by using Sonic Boom to defeat the Werewolf Soulless, the first Zombie Soulless charged towards Alakazam but he used Psychic to stop him and slam him to the ground before using Psycho Cut and finish it with Dazzling Gleam, the second Werewolf Soulless tried to claw Suntaro and Archy but they dodged, Gold who knows of not using draining-type moves instructed Suntaro to use Razor Leaf and follows by using Hidden Power, Archy uses Flame Wheel and finishes off the Soulless with Flamethrower, Weavile uses Icy Wind to slow down the third Werewolf Soulless before using Metal Claw, Jiggly followed by using Double Slap and Body, and Mr. Mime finished by using Dazzling Gleam, Kiki attacks with Iron Tail against the second Zombie Soulless and followed by using Thunderbolt and Dono uses Rollout which he attacks rolling towards the Zombie Soulless and managed to hit the Soulless three times and at the fourth hit the zombie-like Soulless was finished off.
Despite they managed to defeat the Soulless, Yellow sighed in depression again after destroying innocent lives whose souls were corrupted and those living beings were transformed into mutant life forms from another dimension, but she and the others didn't have another choice but to destroy them to protect innocent lives.
"Don't worry Yellow, we'll make sure to avenge their lives." Prime reassured her and she nodded.
The Pokémon Trainers called back their Pokémon, except both Pikachu before calling Saur, Kitty, Gyara, Ataro, Natee, Honchkrow, Clefy, Rara and Pilo, as the Pokémon who fought against the enemies the others will take their places to fight along the way and they went to the next zone.
Cave
The group arrived in a cave, it was a swamp-like zone inside there and walked across there but as they were advancing the enemies like yellow winged demons called Skinny Orcus, frog-like face enemies called Exfrog and chicken-like enemies called Chicken Legs were appearing.
"We have company!" Gold said while facing the enemies.
Suddenly a rattlesnake's tail appeared behind Yellow and Red noticed it, meaning that Yellow could be in grave danger.
"Yellow, look out!" Red exclaimed before rushing and saving her from the Chinese dragon with the rattlesnake's tail known as Rattle Tail.
The enemy looked so weird because the Chinese dragon has a tail like the one from a rattlesnake, but luckily Red managed to save Yellow before checking her.
"Are you alright?" Red asked her with concern.
"Yeah, thank you." Yellow said while blushing in front of him.
Then they went to fight against the enemies, Saur used Swords Dance before attacking with Vine Whip and Razor Leaf, Kitty used Quiver Dance before attacking with Air Slash and Bug Buzz, Gyara used Dragon Dance before attacking with Aqua Tail and Ice Fang, Ataro used Double Team to confuse the enemies before attacking with Focus Punch and Iron Tail, Natee uses Tailwind to increase her speed and attacks by using Ominous Wind and Air Cutter, Honchkrow attacks by using Wing Attack and Night Slash, Clefy uses Minimize which literally decreases her own size but increases her evasion to dodge the attacks easily and attacks by using Moonblast and Flamethrower, Rara uses Thunder Wave to paralyze the enemies before using Shadow Ball and Shock Wave, Pilo attacks by using Magical Leaf and Aerial Ace, Mr. Mime uses Psychic and Prime attacks by using Quick Cyloop and Wild Rush to aim directly the tail of the Rattle Tails to defeat them and they continued until to defeat them all.
"Those were all of them, by now." Prime said, checking after the enemies were defeated and then he turned to the group. "Let's go."
They nodded before following the hedgehog who is the leader of the group and went through the cave plagued by monsters.
Cavern of Souls
The team was now in a brown-stoned cavern which is completely different from a cave. However, the team was prepared to fight against the enemies who appeared to attack the group and arrived in another part of the cave where they face humanoid bee enemies called Cave Needle and two-horned zombies called Grave Masters, Prime and the Pokémon group did their usual attacks to defeat the enemies and as they were advancing they found crevasses everywhere too, just one jump for a certain death.
"Abra, it's your turn." Green said calling her Pokémon. "Use Teleport."
Everyone gathered around Abra who used his psychic powers to teleport the group inside the cave while avoiding falling into the crevasses from the cavern, they kept advancing until they found three familiar Pokémon Trainers there.
"Diamond! Pearl! Platinum!" Red said calling both.
The two trainers turned to see the group along with the blue anthropomorphic hedgehog and possibly they could mistake him with a new Pokémon.
"You guys!" Diamond said gladly to see them okay.
"Thanks goodness all of you are okay." Platinum said with relief.
"But who is the new Pokémon?" Pearl asked while noticing Prime who confused him with a new Pokémon.
"I'm not a Pokémon, I'm a hedgehog, my name is Sonic Prime." Prime said with a sweat-drop in his forehead after being mistaken for a Pokémon.
"Now where are we?" Diamond asked, referring to the unknown place for them.
"Well, we're in another universe, just like Prime explained to us before." Yellow answered both trainers from the Sinnoh region.
"Another universe? That explains why there aren't Pokémon in this cavern." Pearl said.
"Well, have you two seen Black and White?" Red asked them.
"Sorry, but no." Platinum answered.
"I thought they were with you guys." Pearl added.
"Possibly they should be in another part from here or in another universe." Prime explained about the possible location of the last two missing Pokémon Trainers.
"That should explain why we ended here after Giratina defeated us." Diamond said while flashbacking the battle against the legendary Pokémon dragon and ghost type.
"Man, Giratina is very invincible and left our Pokémon without energy." Pearl said, complaining while remembering the hardest battle.
"We brought some fruit to feed your Pokémon." Red said before putting fruits from his bag.
Diamond called Moo, along with others Munchlax (nicknamed Lax), Torterra (nicknamed Wig), Bastiodon (nicknamed Don), an evolved form of Lickitung called Lickilicky (nicknamed Tung) and a colossal golem called Regigigas (nicknamed Giga) who barely reaches the cave ceiling while Pearl called Chatler along with others Infernape (nicknamed Chinhiko), Luxray (nicknamed Torahiko), Buizel (nicknamed Zellord), Digglet (Digiko) and Tauros (nicknamed Tauhiko), and Platinum called her Empeleon along with Rapidash, Lopunny, Froslass, Cherrim and Pachirisu (female by the gender difference), the eighteen Pokemon ate their fruits to recover energies while Prime was impressed by the giant size of the colossal Pokémon. After the Pokémon ate their meal, they recovered their energies before being called back inside their Pokéballs and now they are ready to fight again.
"Ok, here we go." Prime said and they nodded before advancing through the cavern until arriving at the next zone.
Underworld Palace
Now the group arrived in a Greek palace-like zone.
"Okay, this is getting weird, first we fought against Giratina but it beat us and sent us into a cavern and now we're in a palace." Pearl said, explaining their actual situation.
As they were advancing the monsters, like Slow Foots, Grave Masters, Lascert Wolfs and winged demons wielding hammers known as Hammer Demons, appeared blocking their path.
"Monsters!" Prime said while taking his fighting stance, since he doesn't know the name of the monsters.
The trainers decided to keep their Pokémon outside a bit more while Diamond called Don, Platinum called Rapidash and Pearl called Zellord to the battle, Prime performs Cyclone Kick before using Focused Homing Attack and Homing Shot combined with Sonic Cracker to defeat the monsters, Don attacked by using Iron Head but as he was receiving the attacks from the monsters that allowed him to use Metal Burst which he releases a sphere of steel energy which impacted against the enemies, Rapidash uses Stomp and Flamethrower, and Zellord attacks by using Hydro Pump and Iron Tail while the others Pokémon used their known moves until to defeat them all.
"That seemed so easy." Pearl said.
"Don't trust yourself too much." Silver commented to Pearl.
The overconfidence can be bad for everyone, then the Pokémon Trainer of Sinnoh nodded before continuing through the place until they were ambushed by three Minotaur Soulless, two Cerberi Soulless and a Warg Soulless, but Prime used Wind Arrow which forced the six Soulless to dodge the attacks.
*VS. THE ING (METROID PRIME 2: ECHOES)*
"What the heck are those things!?" Pearl asked, seeing the Soulless like the first time.
"Soulless, if you're defeated by them you'll turn into a monster like them, also don't instruct your Pokémon to use draining-type moves!" Prime explained both trainers from the Sinnoh region, specially the rule of never using draining-type moves against those monsters to avoid drain their unknown energy.
Knowing their Pokémon fought previously they decided to call them back inside their Pokéballs, Red called Charizard, Yellow called Gravvy, Blue called Exeggutor and Arcanine, Gold called Explotaro, Crystal called Megaree, Silver called Feraligatr, Green called Nido, Ruby called Mumu, Sapphire called Alty, Diamond called Wig, Platinum called Empoleon and Pearl called Chimhiko.
"Wig, don't use Mega Drain against the Soulless!" Diamond instructed his own Pokémon.
"Tor." Wig nodded, speaking with his own language but clearly understanding the instructions from his trainer.
The Warg Soulless lunged towards Prime but he dodged as the Warg Soulless landed to deliver a kick with both hind legs like a horse bucking its own legs, but Prime dodged again before using Grand Slam and uses White Blast against the wolf-like Soulless, Charizard used Dragon Dance while Gravvy used Rock Polish to increase their speed, when the Warg Soulless recovered from the attack it barked before trying to claw Prime with his front claws but he managed to dodge before using Sonic Wave against the Warg Soulless, Charizard and Gravvy followed by using Shadow Claw and Mega Punch and both used Flamethrower and Prime used Whirlwind creating a fire tornado which obliterated the Warg Soulless completely. The first Cerberus Soulless attacked by jumping Exeggutor hold the enemy by using Psychic before slamming it to the wall and uses Leaf Storm while Arcanine uses Fire Blast and both attacks managed to destroy the Cerberus Soulless completely, the second Cerberus Soulless tried to attack Explotaro and Megaree but they dodged, then Megaree used Body Slam which slammed his own body against the doberman-like Soulless, Explotaro followed by using Shadow Claw and both Pokémon used Razor Leaf and Flamethrower respectively and finishing off the second Cerberus Soulless. The first Minotaur Soulless holding a spear tried to hit Feraligatr and Nido but they dodge, Nido uses Double Kick in the Soulless' face and followed with Sludge Bomb, Feraligatr then used Ice Punch and Aqua Tail against the minotaur-like Soulless, and both used Earth Power and Whirlpool respectively to defeat the Soulless, the second Minotaur Soulless holding an axe jumped trying to slash Mumu and Alty but they dodged before using Muddy Water and Disarming Voice respectively, they followed by using Hammer Arm and Dragon Claw and finished by using Hydro Pump and Dragon Pulse, the last minotaur-like Soulless attacks by charging but Wig used Stealth Rock which he summoned rocks before launching them to the ground and when the Minotaur Soulless stepped in the rocks they exploded damaging the Soulless, Chimhiko followed by using Ultra Punch, Empoleon uses Drill Peck, the three used Razor Leaf, Fire Spin and Hydro Pump respectively, then Chimhiko and Empoleon get above Wig who used Earthquake to hit the third Minotaur Soulless and Infernape used Focus Punch while Empoleon used Drill Peck and Aqua Jet combined which finished off the last Soulless.

Their teamwork was able to finish off the horde of six Soulless, the sacrifice of those lives were depressing but their deaths won't be in vain, Yellow closed her eyes for a while before sighing.
"We should keep going." The girl with the straw hat said.
Later they decided to keep going to the next zone from this universe.
Neff's Fortress
The team arrived in an underworld-like place with purple-stoned walls and green skies at the horizon and also melted Greek structures which looked like melted wax. The place looked so creepy but at the same time there was no presence of the monsters who attacked the group previous times.
"This is weird, there are no monsters here…" Prime said while watching the place but without downing his guard like the others.
They kept going until they found Kyoufu only standing there without doing anything. Prime, who clearly sees him and due the colors and the red x in the chest and top hat the purple anthro hedgehog could be another Guardian.
"I see you came this far despite defeating a lot of Soulless." Kyoufu said, referring to the group who fought against the Soulless. "Yes, it is like a living nightmare, killing those Soulless even if it means killing people or another living creature, the pain and sadness mixed together and later no one will continue."
The words made Yellow lose her courage but Red grabbed his right wrist causing her to see Red straight to his eyes telling her to don't give up.
"Who are you? Are you the fifth Guardian?" Prime asked seriously, clearly at the fifth guardian.
"I'm Kyoufu, and yes, I'm the Guardian of Fear and also I'm your worst nightmare!" Kyoufu introduced himself before showing his sharp teeth, like a jumpscare.
The girl Pokémon Trainers were a bit startled but did their best in remaining calm.
"Maybe I'm afraid, but not of you!" Red spoke seriously to the Guardian of Fear.
"And not one of us!" Silver added seriously too.
"We'll see about that." Kyoufu said before taking his fighting stance.
*SHOWDOWN WITH CACKLETTA (MARIO & LUIGI: SUPERSTAR SAGA + BOWSER'S MINIONS)*
Then Kyoufu snapped his fingers, summoning multiple thunderclouds around the skies of the place and making the place look even more creepy. However, Prime and the Pokémon Trainers weren't showing fear.
"Let's see if you all can handle this!" Kyoufu said before snapping his fingers which summoned shadowy hands which emerged from the ground.
The shadowy hands tried to grab them, Pokémon and Pokémon Trainers alike, but Prime and the others managed to dodge, only Yellow was starting to sweat from her forehead in fear but Red held her close to him doing his best to comfort her. Kyoufu laughs evilly before snapping his fingers which summoned dark fiery walls trying to hit them but they dodged, but Feraligatr Hydro Pump to block the enemy attack.
"How about this!?" Kyoufu said before snapping his fingers to summon a dark electro ball towards the group but Prime used Insta-Shield to deflect the attack back at the Guardian of Fear and stunning him with his own attack.
"This is our chance!" Prime called them and they nodded.
Then both Pikachu used Thunderbolt to zap Kyoufu, Charizard used Dragon Dance while Gravvy used Rock Polish again before attacking with Fire Punch and Brick Break hitting simultaneously the purple anthro hedgehog, Exeggutor used Sludge Bomb while Arcanine used Snarl, Explotaro used Flame Wheel, Megaree used Ancient Power and increased his attack, defense, special attack, special defense and speed to have a huge advantage on battle, Feraligatr used Surf, Nido used Dragon Pulse, Mumu used Rock Smash while Alty used Dragon Claw with both Pokémon hitting the Guardian of Fear, Wig used Wood Hammer which he summoned a floating log made of green energy and hits Kyoufu even if the continent Pokémon recoiled himself too, Empoleon uses Avalanche which she summons falling icy boulders and followed by using Vacuum Wave which she releases white energy with the form of a fin hitting Kyoufu, and Chimhiko used Fire Wheel and Fury Swipes combination, and Prime uses Phantom Rush before following with Somersault Kicks and using Cross Slash, after the purple anthro hedgehog received damage he roared like a monster (just like the animatronics jumpscares from FNAF 4).
"I'm going to submerge you all in a sea of nightmares!" Kyoufu said before summoning more shadowy hands from the ground.
The hands tried to grab the trainers but Prime quickly used Wild Rush and Wind Arrow to destroy the shadowy hands who were trying to grab the Pokémon Trainers and used Spin Slash against Kyoufu who retaliates by firing dark lasers from his eyes but Prime quickly used Insta-Shield to deflect the attack back at him.
"Take that!" Kyoufu said before jumping and stomping the ground.
Then lightings fell down striking the ground but they managed to dodge the enemy attack, then Exeggutor and Arcanine used another Fire Blast and Leaf Storm combination hitting Kyoufu, both Pikachu used Iron Tail against the Guardian of Fear, Charizard attacked by using Flamethrower and Dragon Claw, Gravvy used Mega Punch followed by using Rock Slide, Explotaro used Quick Attack before grabbing Kyoufu and punching him with Thunder Punch and uses Flamethrower at short range, Megaree used Frenzy Plant which was stronger like the previous times thanks to the secondary effect from the Ancient Power attack caused a lot of damage against the Guardian of Fear.
"Do you really think you can defeat me!?" Kyoufu asked while getting like if the attack didn't damage him.
He releases a dark fiery shockwave but Prime used Sonic Wave and both attacks collided into an explosion, then Prime dashed towards before using Grand Slam and Homing Shot combined with White Blast with both merged attacks damaging Kyoufu, Feraligatr attacks with Brick Break in one hand and Ice Punch with the other hitting the Guardian of Fear and uses Hydro Cannon, Nido uses Earth Power and follows by using Poison Jab against the purple anthro hedgehog, Mumu uses Mud Shot and follows by using Hammer Arm, Alty uses Disarming Voice and follows by using Dragon Pulse. However, Kyoufu sends another dark electro ball but Prime deflected it by using Insta-Shield, Wig uses Crunch to bite strongly Kyoufu's right leg who grunts at the intense pain from that bite which cracked the bones from the leg and the grass and ground type Pokémon attacks by using Razor Leaf, Empoleon attacks by using Hydro Pump to hit the Guardian of Fear and Chimhiko jumps before using Close Combat which created orange energy from his fists before punching Kyoufu repeatedly and finished by using Overheat which he releases a stronger version of the flamethrower, Kyoufu could feel burns in his body as he received the attack before crashing to the wall and collapsed to the ground in pain.

When Kyoufu was defeated, the thunderclouds from the sky disappeared as if the nightmare had ended.
"This is very far from over, fear will always exist anywhere, everyone's fear is my source of power." Kyoufu said as he was getting up after receiving the last attack.
"Return where you came from." Prime told the Guardian of Fear.
"Yes, I'm going to return, hidden under the bed and waiting until it comes out as your nightmare that you'll never forget." Kyoufu said before disappearing in a portal.
"That battle was intense, especially with the lightning falling down." Prime said while remembering the battle and Kyoufu's ways to produce fear, but he wasn't scared of the Guardian of Fear.
The Pokémon Trainers called back their Pokémon inside their Pokéballs, except Pika and Chuchu.
"Black and White aren't here, probably they should be in another universe." Red said.
"You're right." Yellow nodded, having hopes to see the last two Pokémon Trainers safe.
Prime used the Chaos Control to open a portal and they went into it and went to the next universe.

Back in the unknown lair, Shannon and the other Guardians who were defeated were watching how the heroes' group managed to defeat the Guardian of Fear.
"Looks like those children have enough courage to fight against the monsters, even against Kyoufu." Shannon said as she was watching the group on the screen.
"The time for nightmares is over for now, their faith will be the prize for my victory." Kito said, ready to challenge the group and he teleported to the world where Sonic Prime and the Pokémon Trainers are there.
