On Today's Episode: The spies catch up with Melissa, who naturally feels bad about hurting Nick, even if she wasn't in her right mind when she did so. Even though Nick can offer some comforting words, they still have to find Haruka and Blaine, who are most likely still brainwashed. What other horror and murder mystery tricks do Lumiere and Milton have up their sleeves, and can the spies shut down this movie shoot?
Act 2: Seeking Clues
5:37 P.M. – Lumiere and Milton's Secret Studio
Thankfully, it didn't take the spies too much longer to catch up to Melissa after she'd fled. They'd deal with Lumiere and Milton once they were sure their friend was feeling better.
Of course, Nick was the first to approach Melissa, who was leaning against a nearby wall, still in shock over what she'd done.
"...Melissa, can you hear me?" Nick asked.
Though she didn't say anything, she did look back to face Nick, her tear-stained eyes telling him everything he needed to know.
"...what did they make me do?" Melissa asked.
"They must have brainwashed you into thinking I was some b-grade horror movie villain that was coming after you," Nick answered.
"...I didn't hurt you, did I?" Melissa wondered, even knowing she could see the wound she'd given Nick before breaking through her mind control.
"Sis, you know I've been through far worse than a simple scratch on my arm," Nick responded immediately. "This is nothing to me."
Nick leaned forward to hug his sister. "Melissa, this isn't your fault, and you know that, okay?" Nick stated. "If you wanna blame anyone, blame those two idiotic moviemakers."
"It's just hard, you know," Melissa admitted as she hugged Nick back. "Not knowing what you're doing while your mind's being brain-bleached... and I know you're tough enough to take care of yourself, but I'm going to worry regardless. I've been like that ever since we lost Kevin and especially our parents..."
"That's pretty much how I feel," Nick replied. "Trust me, sis, you didn't actually do any damage to me, okay? So don't worry about a thing."
"Am I lucky to have such a great big brother like you," Melissa chuckled as she kissed Nick on the cheek. "Thanks for the pep talk."
"Anytime, sis," Nick responded.
Melissa looked back towards the rest of the spies. "Still no sign of Haruka and Blaine?" Melissa asked.
"We only found you at that cabin set earlier, so they're probably stuck in another one somewhere in this accursed studio," Nozomi replied. "Now that you're back to your old self, why don't we head out and find 'em?"
"Exactly what I was thinking," Melissa proclaimed.
Just like before, Melissa felt two taps on her shoulder to see Mat and she immediately remembered her seeing Mat on the side.
"Oh, of course," Melissa laughed as she hugged Mat.
Nick chuckled at that; it was hard to not forget something like that.
"Don't think I'll pass up that opportunity," Mat chuckled as well, even after Melissa kissed him on the cheek.
Britney was still on the sidelines, patiently awaiting her next opportunity for anything from Mat.
"You'll have your turn again, Brit," Alex quipped.
Britney just merely nodded, knowing Alex was right about that.
"Is there anything else you remember, Melissa?" Clover wondered.
"Well, besides the cabin, I remember seeing a bunch of other different movie sets before I got mind-melded," Melissa quipped. "I'm willing to bet they have at least something to do with their plan."
"Anything specific about them?" Mat asked.
"Hmmmm... one looked like a big ol' mansion, and one of 'em looked like an alien spacecraft," Melissa replied. "If they're based on what I think they are, then these guys turned to some really freaky schemes."
"Safe to say that these scary movies are their M.O.," Mat commented. "But I dread to think what's next on their list."
"We've already seen a Freddy vs. Jason first up," Nick replied. "I can semi-relate to you, Mat..."
"This coming from someone who thought Scooby-Doo on Zombie Island was scary," Mat nervously added.
"Well, not everybody's cut out for scary stuff after all," Nozomi commented.
"Totally," Alex replied with a few shivers.
"Just give me a movie on Motocross and I'll be a kid in a candy store," Mat stated.
"I actually do like me a good romantic comedy at points," Nick quipped. "Nice break from my usual preferences..."
"Yeah, remember that one Ami brought to our first big Jellyfish Pirates sleepover?" May laughed. "I seriously thought Souji was gonna bend over backwards with how hard he was laughing!"
"Can't beat a romance one in my book," Clover giggled.
Before long, the spies' movie convo to release some tension was interrupted via a shot from the unknown, which got their attention.
"Hey, that was rude!" Clover complained.
They all saw it was a shady Star Wars character with a ray gun.
"What in the world?" Britney chastised.
"Either way, it's bad news," Sam growled.
She then darted forward to go for the helmet on the shady character.
"Hey, no way in hell are you doing that by yourself, Sam!" Bridget proclaimed. "Sonic Mode, online!"
The shady character backed up a few steps as emerald electricity converged on Bridget, forming into her Sonic Mode outfit.
"Now prepare to eat some velocity, you two-bit Stormtrooper!" Bridget exclaimed as she grabbed Sam's hand before taking off, so they could both use their joined arms to send the Stormtrooper flipping into the air.
Sam let go of Bridget and jumped into a nearby wall, using her momentum to kick off of the wall and into the air, before coming down with a flying kick to the Stormtrooper's chest that sent him crashing back into the ground.
"Okay, you..." Sam proclaimed as she was ready to unmask this shady character.
As it turned out, that shady character was none other than Milton Bard.
"I figured just as much!" Mat proclaimed.
Nick even used his psychic powers to trap Milton Bard, too.
"Don't think for two seconds that 'Little Miss Screwup' is going to go unpunished for bailing on a shoot..." Lumiere's voice boomed from who-knew-where, referring to Melissa.
"Ugh, that flop of a director and his hawk eyes..." Clover complained.
"It still doesn't fill in the blanks on where Haruka and Blaine might be..." Britney added.
"Maybe we can get some out of this flop of an 'actor' here..." Dawn replied with a smirk.
"And you'd better sing right stat now, Milton, because I'm incredibly pissed off with you at the moment," Nick proclaimed.
"Oh, what, just because I made your sister scratch you with a knife?" Milton cackled. "And what, pray tell, are you going to do to me if I refuse to talk?"
Nick just sighed as he let his psychic aura explode to life around him, a dangerous glint in his eyes that actually made Milton attempt to back away, even though he couldn't due to being psychically trapped by Nick.
"Trust me, you don't wanna know," Nick responded. "Now sing."
"A-A-All right, all right, I'll talk!" Milton shouted. "Your other friends are holed up in two of our other sets down that way! That's all I know, I swear!"
"...see? You could have made this a lot easier on yourself if you'd just listened in the first place," Nick quipped, raising his right hand to encase Milton in a psychic bubble. "But I guess that's another villain thing, am I right?"
"Yup, rules for villains number ninety-four," May proclaimed. "Try your hardest to resist intimidation tactics."
"You all head off towards those other sets," Nick stated. "I'm gonna head back outside quick so I can send this nut off to containment."
"Roger that!" Melissa exclaimed as Nick flew off back the way they'd come with the bubbled Milton in tow, while the rest of the team moved forward, down the hallway and eventually coming across a large movie set shaped like the stereotypical mansion you'd see in many different murder mysteries.
"Should I even be surprised at this point?" Nozomi quipped.
"Excuse me while I make an entrance, then," May responded as she bashed the door in with her anchor to reveal the inside, which was decorated with many different kinds of dolls, creepy and otherwise.
"Oh, yikes, I'm getting serious Chucky vibes from these freakin' dolls," Bridget stated. "I don't know what my mom was thinking letting me watch Child's Play as a kid..."
"Really, I think the Chucky movies haven't been anywhere near as scary lately," Nozomi answered. "They've taken a big swing into more comedic antics."
"Regardless of everyone's opinions on a certain killer doll, let's keep an eye out," Sam proclaimed. "We still don't really know what Lumiere might have put in our way."
"I KNOW YOU'RE DOWN THERE!"
The spies all looked towards the nearby stairway, where that shout had come from, and saw Haruka standing at the top, an angry but determined look in her glazed-over eyes.
"Don't think I'm going to lie down and die just like everyone else you've already murdered!" Haruka exclaimed. "If you want my life, you're going to have to yank it from my cold, dead hands!"
With no warning, Haruka leaped from the top of the stairway and pounced downward, forcing the spies to scatter before she landed.
"Okay, wasn't expecting that," Alex noted.
Haruka jumped forward to attack, but Alex did an up-and-over on her, confusing her long enough for Bridget to rocket forward and start running in circles around her, building up kinetic energy as she did so.
"Okay, now that Bridget's got her distracted, does anyone know how we're going to snap Haruka out of her trance while Nick's away?" Melissa asked.
"I might have something," RiCO quipped from Sam's X-Powder. "I still remember the trick I used on Makoto to snap him out of his own trance way back when."
Bridget finished her run before actually changing course to shove Haruka towards the other spies, which gave Sam the time she needed to aim the X-Powder for Haruka's face, swallowing her in a flash of blue light for a couple seconds.
When the light faded, Haruka looked around for a couple seconds, wondering where the heck she was, and why there were so many creepy dolls around here.
"Um... what's with all the dolls?" Haruka asked in her normal voice, the sparkles returning to her eyes. "Because all I'm seeing is a bunch of disguised Chuckys, and I am not having that."
"Oh, good, I'm not the only one who thought that, then," Bridget giggled. "Long story short, Haruka, we just knocked you out of a trance, since you thought you were in a murder mystery or being stalked by a possessed doll. Your choice, really."
"...hey, where'd Nick go?" Haruka wondered when she noticed Nick wasn't with them.
"Just got back, actually," Nick responded as she made his way into the mansion set. "Just had to make a quick detour to drop Milton off at the containment facility. Let's just say he made a rather rookie mistake when it comes to dealing with me, and he paid rather dearly for it."
"And now all that's left is Blaine," Clover stated. "I just hope he's doing all right..."
"Clover, when we find Blaine and snap him out of it, you can give him all the hugs and kisses you want," Nozomi replied. "But how about you save that for when we actually find him?"
"...okay, good point," Clover quipped as the spies left the mansion and headed towards the next movie set, hopefully to find Blaine there.
"Hopefully Blaine isn't too far away," Bridget stated.
"Here's hoping," Alex remarked.
"Can you pick up his thoughts yet, Nick?" May wondered.
"Not yet," Nick replied. "Somehow, Marco Lumiere came prepared. He must have hard-wired this place with some kind of stuff to make my psychic radar not pick anything up."
("Cherry Oh Baby" by UB40 plays)
"So, we have to guess then?" Melissa wondered.
"I'm afraid so," Nick coldly admitted.
"I dread to think what Marco Lumiere has in store now..." Nozomi replied. "And I fully agree with Mat on why he stays away from the scary movies."
"Tell me about it," Haruka quipped. "I'm kinda an action chick myself."
"I guess everybody gets their own kicks from other movie genres," Clover remarked.
"Lumiere would be a major laugh-in and then some," Dawn added.
"I heard that you know..." Lumiere stated through a nearby intercom speaker.
"Wherever you are, you better come clean about what you did to Blaine-y!" Clover shouted.
"Tsk-tsk... testy, are we?" Lumiere taunted.
"If only we knew where the control room was..." Mat commented. "So we can send you to the compost heap!"
"Tsk-tsk-tsk..." Lumiere taunted again. "Your little squeeze hasn't answered to bailing on my shoot yet, after all..."
"What about telling us where Blaine is?!" Britney demanded.
"Now that would not be much fun to do it like that, eh?" Lumiere sneered from the control booth.
"Oh, believe me," Mat shot back. "Any journalist might be tempted on writing a story on your failed productions for a few laughs!"
They couldn't see it, but in the control booth, Lumiere was just steaming mad at what Mat had just said.
"No argument there," Nick stated, considering what a flop of a director Marco Lumiere truly is.
"And risk hearing from my attorney, too?" Lumiere countered.
"Believe me, pal," Sam remarked. "You wouldn't even have a leg to stand on because your 'movies' ARE a joke!"
"Well... until I heard THAT... I WAS going to give you a hint of where to go, but not anymore..." Lumiere growled, absolutely fuming in the control booth.
"Should we say 'big mouth'?" Clover wondered.
"No," Nick instantly answered. "Sam's not wrong after all."
"Plus, Alex and I can personally guarantee that..." Clover added, remembering back to the first time they dealt with Marco Lumiere.
"Exactly," Haruka added before she faintly heard a splash somewhere. "Did you hear that?!"
The spies all took a listen and could hear that same splash Haruka heard earlier.
"Sounded like water splashing," Sam replied, using the Un-Muffle Earmuffs.
Nick used his psychic radar to pinpoint where to go; the more they moved, the louder the splashes got.
"Could it be Blaine?" Bridget wondered.
"Hard to tell," Nick answered.
Eventually, they found themselves in a room with a pool.
"Take a break then?" Clover wondered.
"I wouldn't do that, Clover," Alex quipped.
"Uh-huh," Sam added. "This could be a nasty trick..."
Melissa tried to get a good look at the figure that was in the water.
"What're you looking at, Melissa?" Bridget wondered.
"Guys, I think that figure is Blaine... as a shark," Melissa shuddered.
"Definitely not going to learn his 'aumakua this way..." Mat commented.
Everybody remembered he used that term on their Hawaii mission to stop Kyle Katz.
"Is it Blaine?" Clover wondered.
Clover quickly got her answer when the figure leaped out of the water, revealing itself to be, indeed, a hypnotized Blaine dressed up as a killer shark.
"WHOA!" Clover exclaimed as Blaine snapped at her with the shark costume's teeth.
"Wait, those teeth are real?!" Haruka gasped.
"Man, Lumiere really spared no expense on these props," Bridget quipped. "Makes you wonder what kind of movies he actually could have made if he didn't nose-dive into villainy..."
"The eternal mystery, huh?" May chuckled.
Blaine made another leap to take a bite out of Clover, only to be bounced back into the pool by Nick projecting a psychic barrier in front of Clover.
"We're gonna need to get Blaine out of that pool before I can properly snap his mind back to normal," Nick quipped.
"Leave that to me," Bridget proclaimed. "Sonic Mode, online!"
Once she had transformed, the spies backed up to give Bridget some running room as she began to dash at lightning speeds around the pool over and over again, creating a whirlwind that started to whip the water around.
"Hey, there's another shark in there!" Nozomi exclaimed.
"Keep that biter away from my Blaine-y!" Clover shouted.
Bridget equipped a Metal Masher Boxing Glove as she continued to run around the pool, the whirlwind eventually lifting both Blaine and the mechanical shark out of the pool. Once she had a clear shot, Bridget leaped into the air to punch the mechanical shark with the MMBG, her gathered kinetic energy exploding outwards into a shockwave of emerald electricity that sent the mechanical shark careening into a nearby wall where it shattered into a cascade of parts.
Nick quickly raised his right hand to psychically grab Blaine and yank him closer so he could throw out a psychic pulse that caused him to stumble slightly.
When Blaine regained his balance, he opened his eyes and glanced in confusion at his shark costume.
"...um, can any of you possibly tell me why I'm dressed like a shark?" Blaine wondered. "Because I honestly have several questions..."
Clover did the honors, reaching out yank the shark costume off of Blaine before lunging forward to kiss him.
"Not a single second wasted," Sam chuckled.
"Reader's Digest version, Blaine, after Milton and Lumiere kidnapped you, Melissa and Haruka, they brainwashed the three of you to act like you were part of their insane movies," May stated. "You were apparently part of a discount Jaws ripoff."
"As for Milton, after he tried to pull a fast one with my sister, I sent that guy off to containment, so we just have to find Lumiere and put an end to his part in this scheme," Nick responded.
"And trust me, I now have a personal reason to kick him where it hurts," Blaine proclaimed.
"I think a lot of us do, really," Melissa stated. "So how about we all head out and do that?"
With the team fully reunited, the spies all left the pool set and back out into the lair, searching for a way to find wherever Lumiere was hiding.
"Wait, so he actually used something that keeps your psychic radar from being effective?" Blaine wondered.
"Yeah, that's what it seems like," Nick replied. "I can still use my powers just fine, but around here, I can't seem to pick up his thoughts even when I know he's here."
"He's learning," Nozomi sighed. "Have I mentioned that I absolutely flip-truckin' hate it when villains actually learn from their mistakes? All it does is make our jobs harder!"
"Well, too bad, so sad, spies," Lumiere's voice proclaimed from the nearby loudspeaker. "Guess that means you'll have to find me the old-fashioned way."
"Oh, why don't you shut your trap?!" Alex taunted.
While the spies and Lumiere continued to taunt each other back and forth, Nick had an idea, flipping open his X-Powder.
"Hey, RiCO, can your drone still track Lumiere even down here in his freaky movie set?" Nick wondered. "Because he's lined the area with something that's blocking my psychic radar from picking him up."
"Do I always come through for you guys?" RiCO giggled, the screen switching to a map of the facility. "This route should get you to him the quickest."
Nick couldn't help but smile even as Lumiere's voice faded from the room.
"Well, nuts, does anyone have a backup plan?" Britney wondered.
Nick just showed them his X-Powder screen and the map of the area that RiCO had provided.
"You found him?" Clover gasped.
"RiCO once again came through," Nick quipped. "Let's go pay the movie man a visit, shall we?"
Meanwhile, in his control room, Lumiere couldn't help but grin. Now he knew that investing in Terrence's psychic dampening technology had been a good idea.
"Let those fools find me if they can," Lumiere chuckled. "By the time they do, if they do, the climax will have already begun."
At that precise moment, a loud pounding resounded in the control room. Before Lumiere could even jump to his feet, the door to the control room was blasted off of its hinges courtesy of a Final Shine Attack from Nick, allowing the spies to make their way into the control room.
"Surprise, you son of a bitch," Nick proclaimed.
"H-How the hell did you find me so quickly?!" Lumiere shouted. "Your 'radar' should be useless in here!"
"You can't fool the all-seeing A.I., buddy," RiCO taunted.
"And besides, whatever you're using to fool my radar isn't blocking me from actually using my powers," Nick responded.
"Also, rules for villains number ninety-five," Haruka quipped. "Don't rely on prototype equipment to carry you through your scheme."
"Now, then, I believe our boots have an appointment with your face," Melissa proclaimed as she, Haruka and Blaine stepped up first to attack.
"That's not happening with your CHEATING!" Lumiere shouted.
"No cheats, pal... an A.I. sees all," Nick quipped.
"Yeah?! Well, it's cheating because I said so!" Lumiere whined.
"Well, you don't have any leg to stand on, nor can you even change the rules of the game," Melissa replied.
"That all went out the window after you spy-napped us!" Haruka proclaimed.
"I don't know when you started going for scary movies," Blaine added. "But having me as a makeshift Jaws shark is crossing the line in my book!"
"So how about you just shut your yap and take your lumps already?!" Melissa exclaimed, bending down before lunging forward to tackle Lumiere to the ground.
Though Lumiere jumped right back to his feet, this gave Haruka the moment she needed to sneak behind him and send him right back on his keester with a leg sweep.
For the hat trick, Blaine charged forward as Lumiere was falling to plant a sliding kick into the mad movie maker's face.
"Hope you like them apples," Blaine proclaimed.
"And another thing..." Mat added. "In no way in HELL did you ever demonstrate a shark as a sacred ʻaumakua in any way, shape, or form!"
Marco Lumiere was completely dumbfounded at hearing Mat say that.
"I don't even know what that means, but I don't like the way you put it," Lumiere shot back.
"Besides, you couldn't figure that out or even understand it the way I do," Mat replied.
"We get it," Sam replied, remembering their mission to Hawaii.
"And that's for you to find out on top of it," Clover added as she moved in to attack, swinging an Expandable Mascara Brush to keep Lumiere on his toes.
While Clover was doing this, Nick glanced around the control room, noticing some light fixtures on the ceiling.
A devilish idea coming to mind, Nick let Clover keep on the offensive until Lumiere was right underneath one of the fixtures, then fired a few psychic bolts into the ceiling to snap the fixture off.
Clover jumped backwards as the fixture began to fall, and Lumiere just barely rolled away in time.
"Oh, now you're really cheating!" Lumiere shouted.
"Advice for heroes, number twenty-eight," Haruka retorted. "Always use the environment to your advantage."
"This isn't right!" Lumiere shouted.
He then looked around and noticed that Milton Bard was nowhere in sight.
"Where's my co-star?!" Lumiere growled.
"I think you mean 'canned co-star,' huh?" Bridget sneered.
"You couldn't have..." Lumiere stuttered.
"Couldn't? We DID send him back to the containment facility!" Nozomi exclaimed. "Thanks to Nick!"
"No matter..." Lumiere replied. "I can still make my masterpiece without him."
"Believe us when we say it's back to the drawing board for you..." Sam replied. "Not to mention I join my honey-bunches on eliminating scary movies for sure!"
"Ooh, do I detect some scaredy-cats among you?" Lumiere sneered.
"If it means stopping you, hell no!" Sam quipped.
"Well, in that case, I haven't brought out my trump card yet..." Lumiere continued. "ACTION!"
The spies were then surrounded by other people who fell under Milton Bard's influences before Nick sent him off to containment.
"Holy crap, guys!" Mat proclaimed. "Looks like we got our work cut out for us..."
"We've been through worse mook rushes before," Nick responded. "This one's not gonna be any different!"
A bunch of the brainwashed people lunged forward in an attempt to dogpile the spies, but Nick simply sent them floating in the air with a Zero Gravity.
One couple managed to jump away before the Zero Gravity could affect them and attempted to pin down Melissa and Dawn, but Nick simply threw out his hands to unleash a psychic pulse around him that floored all of the floating people.
Of course, they all looked around after waking up from their trances, wondering where the heck they were.
"For your supposed 'trump card', that was really..." Bridget taunted, only to trail off when she noticed that Lumiere wasn't in the area. "...where'd he go?"
"Of course he'd pull rule twelve over our heads!" Nozomi shouted.
"Well, it looks like he didn't get too far," RiCO proclaimed from Nick's X-Powder. "Just follow the blinking dot, everyone!"
Sam escorted the people out of the area so they could be taken back to wherever they'd come from before rejoining the spies in pursuit of Lumiere.
"I highly doubt that Lumiere's 'trump card' was just another mook rush," Alex quipped. "He's probably stalling for time."
"That would be rule forty-two in a nutshell," May responded.
"He can't have much left," Mat stated. "So let's go find him and take him down."
The spies all followed RiCO's map out of the control room and back through the studio, passing by a few sets that hadn't been used until they eventually found themselves in a much larger set modeled after a city.
"Oh, I swear, if there's another kaiju waiting for us..." Sam groaned.
"I don't think that's the case this time," May quipped, pointing to just ahead, where Lumiere was waiting for them, though he was now wielding what appeared to be scissor-like weapons shaped like movie clapboards.
"Okay, you're actually going to fight us head-on for once in your life?" Clover taunted.
"It's an interesting plot twist, no?" Lumiere laughed. "The villain who always relies on his gadgets and inventions to do the fighting for him, suddenly realizing that there will come a time where he needs to get physical? It's a tale as old as media itself."
"Yeah, but you're forgetting one critical detail here, Lumiere," Nick proclaimed, his aura flaring to life around him. "If this is your first time actually getting your hands dirty..."
"First time for everything, am I right?" Lumiere replied as he moved in closer.
("Take Over" by Lyn Inaizumi plays)
"Oh, this oughta be entertaining," May quipped, using her EGT to summon her anchor and prepare for whatever Lumiere was about to try.
Lumiere swung his clapboards towards Sam, and though she jumped back to avoid the swing, Lumiere pressed a button on the handle and the clappers shot out like nunchucks to snatch Sam by the waist and drag her towards him.
"Now who's top director around here?" Lumiere taunted, only for May to jump in and swing her anchor to send Lumiere flying backwards, releasing Sam from the clapboards.
"Oh, and another thing!" May exclaimed. "How in god's green smurf are you so blasé about getting hit with a giant metal ship anchor?! I mean, have you seen what I've done with this thing?!"
"That would be body armor, my dear pirate," Lumiere answered. "It was an unspoken plan in the villain community that we'd all start investing in body armor, since we don't want broken ribs from getting side-swiped by that monster you're wielding."
"...okay, that actually makes a lot of sense," Mat quipped.
"But for now, how about we focus on this?!" Lumiere laughed, swinging his nunchuck-clapboards around him to deter the spies from getting any closer.
Nick raised his glowing right hand, used it to draw a horizontal line of light in front of him, and finally thrust his right hand forward to unleash a barrage of psychic needles on Lumiere, breaking through his defenses and sending him tumbling backwards.
"I knew that would work," Nick chuckled.
"You won't be spouting cliché movie lines for much longer," Lumiere taunted, bringing out what appeared to be a regular handheld movie camera. "After all, that's my job as a movie maker."
"You're so lucky that Hikari and Makoto aren't here to hear you say that right now," Nozomi responded. "As real freakin' movie makers, they'd be beyond insulted."
"You're still going on with your claims that my movies aren't real?" Lumiere gasped indignantly.
"Yeah, well, when all your movies do is try to hurt and/or kill whoever's 'taking part' in your movies, you tell me!" Alex exclaimed. "And don't think I haven't lost my grudge against you for that!"
"My dear Alex, that was years ago," Lumiere responded. "Can't you leave the past where it belongs?"
Whatever Lumiere had to say after that was cut off when Nick blasted him into one of the fake buildings with a Final Shine Attack.
"Says the slimeball who doesn't want to let go of being a dastardly villain," Nick proclaimed. "Oh, and on that note, only I get to call Alex that."
Nick fired another Final Shine Attack at the 'building' behind Lumiere to make it fall on him, even though Lumiere managed to avoid getting crushed by it.
"Well, as much as I'd like to play some more with you, my actual trump card is finished and ready to go," Lumiere chuckled. "So I'll see all of you at the final act."
Lumiere aimed his handheld camera towards a nearby 'building' and fired a large laser blast from it, striking the 'building' and causing it to collapse in front of the spies. May bashed it aside with her anchor (it was easy, since the 'building' was mostly cardboard and foam rubber), but by the time it was out of their way, Lumiere had vanished.
"Of course," Clover sighed.
"He didn't get too far," Nick stated.
"Oh, you can use your radar again, Nick?" Alex asked.
"Yeah, the dampeners were only around the vicinity of his control room," Nick responded. "Let's follow him and end this charade, shall we?"
The spies all followed Nick as he used his psychic radar to lead the way to Lumiere and whatever his trump card was.
To be concluded...

Next time...
Mat: End of the line, you faker!
Lumiere: Oh, that hurts my feelings, you little brat.
Bridget: Stop it, you're not sorry at all.
Nick: We've had just about enough of your games, Lumiere! Just bring out your secret weapon so we can tear it apart!
Lumiere: Well, all you had to do was ask.
May: ...um, can someone please tell me what the hell this thing is?!
Haruka: Why does it look like an amalgamation of so many different horror movie villains?
Nick: I guess we'll find that out next time on the final act of Totally Spies: And Then There Were Some, "And That's A Wrap"!
Britney: ...wait, Nick, you're telling me Independence Day scared you as a kid?!
Nick: More like I had a really freaky nightmare pertaining to it after eating a whole box of those chewy Chips Ahoy at one in the morning as a kid. Safe to say I learned that lesson the hard way...
