Hello to anyone reading this,
This is a idea that came up in my head so I decide to go with it. I'm kind of winging it with whatever flows through my mind. So, in advance I apologize if you see any plot holes but I'm going to try to avoid them as much as possible.
I already posted the chapters I done on another website but I decide that I might as well post it on for anyone who wanted to read it.
Just to put everything out for you readers as a warning;
- Later on in chapters I might write about some intense stuff so, please be careful
- I haven't read or watch my hero Academia in a while but I tried to avoid making the characters ooc.
- Mostly likely this is going to be non-canon from the anime and manga but I going to keep certain arcs as part of my story.
-This is self indulgent so, please don't come at me if their certain things you don't like. Also I'm learning to writing fight scenes though it's a work and progress.
-This is going to contained a variety of different relationships from m/w, m/m, w/w. And while I am not good at writing romance, I want to give it a try though it's probably going to be as a subplot.
I believe that is it, hope you guys enjoy the story.
My Hero Academia belongs to Kohei Horikoshi .
Society can be so cruel to those who are at the bottom. Especially in a society where special powers like quirks exist where the cruelness of humans is hidden to avoid the harsh reality. Where we discriminated against those with quirks that are villainous even though they didn't choose their own quirk. Not only them but the quirkless who as children had to face pain and suffering just for something they didn't have control over. Where certain children were praised while others were hated.
(THE CONSEQUENCES THAT OUR SOCIETY CREATED; SOCIOLOGY PROFESSOR ASAMI HARUTO)
"You should give up." The doctor's monotone voice could be heard throughout the room, that moment the child drop the All Might figurine in his hand, and that felt like his whole world had fallen. The next thing they remember was being in front of the computer watching that All Might video that he had watched religiously. His mother hugged him with tears coming out of her eyes begging for forgiveness. The humiliation and physical abuse he endured throughout his childhood by peers and adults. The image was replaced with his mother on the ground bleeding, her lifeless eyes staring at him. His young self fighting against the ones who had caused him so much pain for so many years to come. More painful moments were shown, the strapping against the cold metal bed, the needles, the begging for it to stop, the cruelty of the world towards him was too much, he wants it to stop, the pain… No, he wants to die!
The nightmares disappear as soon as his eyes snap open and his sweating body lifts up from the hard mattress on the ground. After being able to calm himself down from the nightmares the boy didn't know if the nightmares were better than his reality, the cold prison cell remind the boy of nothing but loneliness and silence.
The boy always remain in the prison cell quiet until he was called out by the ones he serve. Still, he helpless dreams of the outside of this prison cell even though he remembers the cruelness of people. He wished to extend his hand towards the bright sun that radiates brightness that the boy no longer had. That the wings that were clipped from his back could regrow again.
A door was heard opening, a loud bang sounded throughout the room. The sound that no longer made the boy flinch, his empty eyes turn to face the front of his prison cell. A tall bulky man with spiky blue hair appeared in front of him, wearing a maniacal smile that the boy knew meant that his service was required.
"It's time for business, our precious treasure."
The boy who was just an empty shell after so many years of abuse knew the reality of his life, no matter how many times he wished, the only time he would be free would be when he breathed his last breath.
In a different part of this society, sat a boy on the ground in an almost run-down apartment. The boy's usual tired purple eyes were now red from the tears he wanted to shed. He aggressively ran his hand through his fluffy purple hair as he bent his legs to touch his chest. His hands rest on top of his legs, making the boy feel some form of comfort.
"Why?!" cried out the boy as he turned his head towards the letter on the ground next to him. Above the letter shows the hologram image of All Might with his signature smile that the boy hated. The way he smiles as if the world was made of rainbow and butterflies, hiding the fact of the cruel things and heroes who didn't give a shit, that people at the bottom of society had to go through almost daily. And the fact that certain heroes avoid these types of topics since they believe people like him are at fault. The words of All Might kept being repeated as if it was reminding the boy of his failure.
"Congratulations Young Shinsou Hitoshi! You made it into U.A with the required points! And got accepted into the general education of U.A! However, you can still move to the heroes class with enough hard work! Plus Ultra!" The stupid words kept being repeated and repeated until the boy became angry that he violently grabs the letter and crumble it a little that the hologram disappear.
"I really try my hardest on the physical exam, it's not my fault that it was stupid robots. It's not fair...It's not fair" said Shinsou who was biting his bottom lip to stop the tears from coming from his eyes. He hated that, tears show others that you are weak. Throughout his whole life, tears brought satisfaction to those who hated him just for having a quirk that was considered villainous. It wasn't like Shinsou could have gone up to a doctor and said "I don't want this quirk, give me a different one."
He was a child for fuck sake, not some monster that he was supposed to be that everyone thought he was. Shinsou places his head on top of his hands and stares at the wall, contemplating his situation. A few minutes later as Shinsou was calming down he remembered his reason to keep going.
"No, I'm not going to give up. I went through so much shit to get to where I am. I can still move to the hero education at U.A, I just have to prove myself during the sports festival." firmly said Shinsou who turned his head towards a small table at the bottom of the wall.
"I can't give up. No matter what… I have to keep my promise to Izu…" said Shinsou who stared at the picture frame that was on the small table with a sad expression. The picture in it was two boys around the age of 10 standing next to each other with smiles on their faces. Unaware of the hardships that life would throw at them.
Shinsou remained in the same position and kept repeating the sentence again and again like a mantra. Until his eyes were heavy and he fell asleep on the cold ground, hugging himself as a way to bring himself some comfort to his loneliness in this empty run-down apartment.
"Oi Katsuki get your ass up! The letter is here!" shouted a woman.
"I'm coming old hag!" called out Bakugou Katsuki, a boy with spiky ash hair and red eyes. Getting up from the bed, Bakugou headed down the stairs and towards the direction of his mother's voice. There standing in front of him was his mother's young appearance that would make you doubt her personality.
"Oi brat, what's with the look?! Do you wanna get a slap on the head?!" shouted Bakugou's mother, whose name is Mitsuki.
"I don't want to deal with your shit old hag! Just give me the letter!" shouted Bakugou.
Mitsuki was about to scold the boy but decided against it since it was a special occasion.
"Fine brat, here you go." Mitsuki shoved the letter towards Bakugou's chest which he snatched from her hand and headed back to his room.
"Aren't you going to open it here to see if you got in?!" hollered Mitsuki from the stairs.
"Old hag you already know I got accepted! No way they would have rejected someone like me!" Shouted Bakugou one last time before slamming the door shut. He could already hear his mom shouts through the door. Not caring, he opens the letter and the hologram of All Might appears. And as Bakugou already knew he got accepted and received second place.
Grinding his teeth in anger at realizing that he wasn't in the first place, he was supposed to be number one in everything. If not then the praises and looks of envy would be gone. Bakugou drop the letter on the desk next to his bed and headed to the bathroom to wash up.
As he started to brush his teeth, Bakugou realized the things that haunted him every day were back.
"Do you really deserve number one if your nothing but a coward?"
"Didn't you spend your whole life bullying those below you?"
"HAHA! You hear him saying he deserved to be number one in everything! That's nothing but a lie!"
"Instead of a hero, you should have been a villain."
In front of him, he saw in the mirror surrounding him were shadows with grotesque appearance with sharp teeth and sharp claws. He hated them not because he thought they were spouting useless lies. No, the way that they spouting thoughts that deep inside Bakugou had sometimes and hated with all his heart. Bakugou stare at these shadows that other people would consider calling them inner demons but Bakugou was different these were nothing but shadows that his weak self was playing tricks on him.
As one of them hovered near his face, the shadow's sharp claws were resting around his neck, and it spoke in a dark deep voice
"Do you really deserve to be a hero after what happen to Izuku."
Bakugou's red eyes became filled with rage, turning to his side with his fist in the air as he let out an explosion that did no damages to these shadows and only destroy his bathroom. Huffing from pure anger in his body, these shadows quickly disappear, the only thing that could be heard is the laughter from these shadows, it was making Bakugou angrier.
"Fuck!" was all Bakgou yelled out, no matter how many years went by these stupid feelings were still haunting him.
"That stupid Deku is always on my mind.." muttered Bakgou as he lead against the sink and stare harshly at the mirror.
Suddenly the image of Izuku appears next to him, his empty green eyes stare at him, blood was running down his face and the image disappears like the shadows.
"This shit is really tiring…. But I will be number one no matter what. Someone like me deserves to be number one." said Bakugou who kept staring at the mirror as he clench his hands on top of the sink. Internally his mind was in an array of feelings of guilt and sadness that Bakugou wishes he could remove.
The boy hated how quiet and dark the prison cell was, no matter what little sunlight enters the place remains the same. He lost count of how many days had passed, the only thought on the boy's mind was when will his service not be required anymore. However, that day has not come yet, since the man came to inform him that a big job was coming their way.
He wanted to cry but tears has not fallen from his eyes for a long time. The boy stares emptily at the spot where only the small hints of sunlight shine, he hopes that those innocent children do not suffer such a horrible fate like his. Which, felt weird for the boy that he had such thoughts since he's a child too, or was he? The boy didn't know the answer himself, he has seen things that no child should witness does that still make him a child or…. a monster?
He didn't know anymore, he was just tired of this world and wanted the pain to end. The door was heard opening again, and footsteps were heard. The boy noticed that it was more than one person coming for him. That meant it was time to meet the client that require his services. The boy didn't move until the door of his prison cell was open and the ones he serve call out to him.
"Let's go, we can't keep our client waiting." said the man with the spiky blue hair. Next to him was a tall skinny woman with long dark purple hair.
The boy started to walk out of his prison cell, the chains around his ankles made a scratching noise against the ground. The heaviness reminds the boy of the shackles that this material world place on him.
The light hit the boy's eyes as they head down the dimming lit hall towards the large room that the ones he serves had. The two people in front of him stop and the boy follows their movement.
A black portal appear in front of them, which the two in front of him took as a sign and headed in which the boy did without hesitation.
As they arrive at the other side of the portal, the boy saw that it was a bar. He knows that since some of the ones he serves would have taken him to those places to show him off. He hate those moments like he was some sort of prize that they won.
"You must be our client, the one and only league of villains." The man with the blue spiky hair spoke in his loud voice that could be felt through the room.
"The League of Villians." thought the boy.
Turning to face where the man with blue spiky blue hair was facing he saw a man with the body of purple smoke behind the bar and a man with light blue in one of the seats, he had several hands around his body. His face was the only part that didn't have any of the hands, his skin was dry and the man was glaring towards their direction.
"It's our pleasure to be to doing business with the Grim Reapers. My name is Kurogiri and his name is Shigaraki" said Kurogiri, who had the body of purple smoke as he introduce himself and the man next to him.
The boy could hear the man on the seat mumble about "these extras" whatever that meant.
"Our pleasure as well, My name is Shi and the woman next to me is Akumazoku," said Shi.
"Death and Evil such names befitted for the Grim Reapers." complemented Kurogiri.
"They seem like nothing but NPC befitting for weaklings," interjected Shigaraki.
"How dare you insult the names our master gave us!" shouted Akumazoku.
The boy already felt the tension in the room between the client and the ones he serves.
"I apologize for his behavior, he is still learning, isn't that right Tomura." said a voice from a t.v screen up in the ceiling.
Everyone's focus went in that direction, on the screen the bottom of a man was seen while his face was hidden.
"Yes, master…" muttered Shigaraki, the boy could tell that the man had him under his command.
It seems we are getting off track. Why do we focus on our business deal?" said the man.
"Yes, we agree so what is your job for us." Said Shi, understanding that this man was the one in charge.
"We heard that in your hands is a person with great ability to analyze any person's quirk and to expose their weakness." Said this man.
Shi couldn't help but show his maniacal smile as he rested his hands on top of the boy's shoulders.
"This is the one with the great ability. Not only that but he can analyze the way one fights." The boy's empty eyes saw how the men scan him to see his worth.
"He looks like nothing but a weakling." Said Shigaraki.
Akumazoku let out a laugh, and Shi lowered his head next to his ear. "Do your thing"
The boy did as he was ordered, his dark green eyes glowing brightly. "Shigaraki Tomura, quirk is called decay that allows him to disintegrate whatever he touches with all five fingers. Weaknesses are not being able to grab and decay anything with all five fingers if fingers are moist or object is moist, multiple attackers may cause you difficulty to handle depending on the control you have over your quirk, depend too much on quirk lack physical strength, prefer to fight head-on instead of following strategies." The boy continued on the weakness of Shigaraki's quirk.
"You little-" yelled Shigaraki who was getting up from his seat and was going to attack the boy for spouting such nonsense. Shi and Akumazoku were standing in front of him to protect their precious treasure.
"Tomura." Said the man.
"Master, this NPC is spouting lies about me!"
"Tomura." Said the man in a firm voice that made the man sit down against his will.
"Impressive that they were able to analyze such weakness from my successor. May I ask what his quirk is exactly?" said the man.
"I make it short, our precious treasure eyes can analyze everything about your quirk and your personal weaknesses and store it in his brain in other words he's basically a living encyclopedia," said Shi.
The boy couldn't help but think about them hiding the effects it had on him, the headaches, nosebleeds, and the passing out from taking in too much information. But, why does that matter to them who only looking for ways to exploited this quirk that he was giving? He thinks that being quirkless was better at times.
"Impressive, and what about him being able to analyze fights? Is that a part of his quirk?"
"None at all, just his pure talent in analyzing fights," said Shi similar to the bragging that the others do, the boy believes that this will bite them in the ass one day. But he doesn't care, whoever has him will never let him go either way.
"The Grim Reapers were able to grab a valuable person at such an age." said the man who the boy could tell was staring at him.
"I agree master," interjected Kurogiri.
"If I may, what is your name?" said the man towards the boy's direction. Akumazou nudges the boy's arm, telling him to answer their client.
"My name is Midoriya Izuku." muttered Izuku in a soft tone.
"Nice to meet you Midoriya. Let get down to business shall we." said the man with a sinister smile.
