Midoriya fuck up big time and he was going to pay the price. They teleported to the middle of the room that connect with two hallways. Landing roughly on the cold ground, Midoriya let out a cry as he felt his hair being pulled.
"What the hell were you thinking?!" Shouted Shi with eyes of fury, thinking of the stunt that Midoriya did.
"I'm sorry!" Cried out Midoriya, he didn't even know the answer to that. All those beatings must have messed his head up.
Shi's grip was becoming harder, Midoriya almost thought his hair would rip out.
"Enough Shi! We got other fucking things to focus on first!" Shouted Akumazou, looking pissed as ever.
"Fine bitch!" Said Shi, shoving Midoriya to the ground and glaring at him from up as he muttered that this wasn't over. Midoriya said nothing and decided to remain on the ground until he got orders to move.
"The league of villains brought us problems now!"
"It shouldn't be a big problem, we were prepared and had our disguises," said Shi as the adrenaline in his body was washing away along with his anger. Well, Midoriya hoped it was washing away.
"Use your brain, idiot! After this failure, the heroes are going to start investigating, meaning that they might discover us!"
"How are you so sure? They probably thought we were just some low-ranking criminals just being used as bodyguards." Said Shi, shrugging his shoulders.
"It was an attack on U.A and fucking All Might! Of course, they're going to do some deep investigation, you dipshit! It's almost like attacking the Hero Association!" Akumazou gave Shi a disbelief expression as if he wasn't hearing himself.
"I know bitch! We just have to tell master that we gotta lay low for a while." Muttered Shi, who was running a hand through his hair.
"I know but that means master has to report to him.." muttered Akumazou, both of them went quiet at the realization. Midoriya felt chills at the comment of Akumazou.
He was going to be pissed at the results that Akumazou and Shi are going to report, it was supposed to be a quick job. Just observe from far away and leave as fast as possible. However, they didn't expect it to go downhill so fast. While they knew this villain organization was new and growing, they didn't expect their first attack to end in absolute failure; at the most they would be able to leave some damage.
Midoriya was thinking about Eraserhead's battered body, the way he look good as dead. He would think that be consider leaving some damage.
"We shouldn't have let our guard down," said Akumazou, interrupting Midoriya's thoughts. She was biting her bottom lip in a nervous manner that showed the seriousness of the situation.
"It does us nothing good in thinking about it. We have to report either way." Said Shi. Both looked at each other and nodded in agreement.
Midoriya was on the ground on his knees waiting for a command. The tension in the room was overwhelming him, he rather be back in the prison cell that he calls home.
"Please just send me back" Thought Midoriya as he stared at the cold concrete floor, his knees were starting to hurt. His thoughts were answered in a way.
"Sigh, Let's just get started on packing the goods. Go tell the others to do it as quickly but gently as possible." Said Shi, in a stoic expression.
Akumazou nodded her head in agreement. She went to put her long purple hair in a ponytail as she headed towards the other dim lit hall without saying a word.
Shi knew that Akumazou understood the urgentness and turned towards Midoriya, who had remained in the same position and felt Shi looked down coldly at him. Midoriya was shaking in fear, as he felt the expression of Shi drilling through his head. He really didn't want to get punished.
What was his mind thinking?! Why did he intervene? Those students were training to be heroes, surely they could put up a fight?!
Shi went on one knee and extended a hand towards Midoriya's shoulder, who was staring at the ground in front of him and shaking like a leaf.
"Midoriya." Said Shi in a honey-sweet voice that contrasted the violent manner just a couple of minutes ago. That made the whole situation ten times worse.
Before Midoriya could speak, the hand had moved and was on his throat, squeezing the air out of him.
"You didn't think you would get away with your little stunt without punishment." Said Shi as Midoriya struggled to breathe.
"I-I'm s-sorry!" Izuku managed to say, his hands were grabbing Shi's arm on reflex. He knew begging would be no good, so all Midoriya could do was hope Shi wouldn't punish him too badly.
Shi's blue eyes stared at him for a few seconds as he clicked his tongue in displeasure, and let go of Midoriya's throat. Midoriya started to cough and gasp for precious air.
"Tch, you're lucky we have other things to do but as punishment, you won't get to eat until I decide you learn your lesson." Said Shi, as he got up and stared at Midoriya.
Midoriya nodded his head in understanding, feeling some relief that he wouldn't get beaten. Shi grab him by the hair once again and started to walk in the other direction. Midoriya complied without any hesitation, after what felt like minutes did Shi threw him back into the prison cell, which he called home. Once again landing roughly on the cold floor, Midoriya could feel his knees and hands begin to bleed from the rough treatment.
"Behave and when we're done transporting the goods, I'll come to get you, understand Midoriya," said Shi.
"Understood," Midoriya replied, not bothering to move from his position, feeling the coldness of the floor on his face. His empty eyes were focused on the small area on the floor where the sunlight enter this dark place. Shi nodded his head and locked the prison cell door, before he left, Shi turned back towards Midoriya.
"I'll get Sasha to come, and treat your knees and hands," said Shi before he left.
Midoriya hated when they do that, one minute they're threatening to beat him, and another minute they're treating him like glass that could break any minute. It confuses Midoriya, should he call these people his saviors for at least giving him a reason to exist in this world even if it's for the wrong reason or his tormentors who force him to keep living in this damn cruel world. He was so tired after everything.
Was this how his life is always going to be?
Why does he keep going in a world that is always going to put him down no matter what?
A park, with a big playground that would excite any child. The sun is bright as ever, the warmth of the sun is felt on your skin. The neighbors were greeting each other as they passed by. There near the sandbox of the playground, he hears it.
Laughter. Something that Midoriya has long forgotten how it feels to do.
It was coming from three children near that area. He sees that one of them is him, just a child, the one where he wasn't so broken. He had a big bright smile as he played with two kids in front of him. Was this how his life was before? Was he actually happy and people like him? Who were these people? Do they still care about him?
But, why can't he see their faces? Why are they nothing but faceless silhouettes as if he shouldn't even remember these people? Can the gods have pity and let him see who they were, to just have a small glimpse of them?! The time in his life when he was once happy.
Hearing the door of the prison cell being unlocked, woke Midoriya up from his dream, or was it a memory.
Midoriya didn't have to fear it was Shi or Akumazou since their focus would be on transporting the goods to another location. They decided to give the League of Villains the location of one of their warehouses, so they needed to move before the League tried to contact them once again.
Midoriya didn't know why they thought that was a good idea. But he assumed it was a power move to show the League of Villains that they weren't afraid of this new organization. Or just because they wanted to since the grim reapers had more locations to use so giving one way meant nothing to them. He sometimes questions their motives given that they even let this league of villains see his identity. Were they that confident or stupid.
Either way, he knew it wasn't them and from Shi's comment, he didn't need to be scared.
As the person entered the prison cell, their footsteps were so quiet that you wouldn't have known if it wasn't for the noise of water splashing against something. The person headed towards the mattress in the corner of the prison cell.
"Mido you're going to get sick if you keep laying on the ground." Said a gentle tired voice, odd for the environment. Lifting his body up, he saw who the person was. It was Sasha who was staring at him with a tired expression.
Sasha was a young woman around her mid-30s, she was wearing an old long grey shirt and worn blue jeans. She had black hair that reached her back, which was messy due to the lack of hair products in this place, including a hairbrush. Her blue eyes match the ocean, however, bags were formed under her eyes after years of stress and witnessing cruel things that humans would commit. Around her neck was a metal collar, it was an inch thick and completely black, Midoriya knew the purpose behind it and what it does if one decides to disobey or misbehave.
"I'm tired, Sasha." Said Midorya, his expression was the same as Sasha, knowing that she too is trapped in this cycle of pain and suffering. Sasha let out a sigh in agreement and extended her hand to help Midoriya up. Accepting it, Midoriya was guided to the mattress and went to sit gently on it.
Sasha, without saying a word, started to dip a rag into the small bucket of water that she had brought and went to wipe the dried blood from Midoriya's knees and hands. No words needed to be exchanged, for them to understand what the other was thinking.
There was no awkwardness given that this was not something new for them.
"How bad?" Sasha decided to speak first.
"Really bad." Answered Midoriya.
"Hm. I thought so, from how Akumazou is ordering everyone to hurry up with the transporting of the drugs. And with how strong that shit is, it's strange to see them in such a hurry if it wasn't so serious."
"Are they almost done?"
"Yeah, they were just waiting for it to get dark, to start transporting it. Should be done in an hour given that Shi gave them that time limit." Said Sasha, as she finished cleaning the blood on his knees and hands from the falls he took. She went to pull out a box of old band-aids from the back pocket of her jeans and place them on Midoriya's hands and knees.
"So they're probably going to get us after that," said Midoriya without any thoughts, Sasha nodded her head in return. Midoriya stared at Sasha for a few seconds and thought about how Sasha's life was before she entered this hell hole. And why did Sasha, who was kind to him, have to suffer this fate?
"Sasha, can you tell me more about your life?" Midoriya didn't know why but he enjoyed the times that Sasha would talk about her life, the way her tired expression would light up a little from the nice memories she remembered of her old life.
Sasha let out a scoff in a playful manner and replied with a small smile on her face that didn't match her tired eyes.
"Mido, I answer your question so many times, that I know you practically have it memorized."
"I do. But I like to hear it from you better." bluntly said Midoriya, in the way it let him forget for a minute about life.
"Sigh. You win, before this shit hole, I used to be a nanny for some rich family," said Sasha, wasting no time in telling her story.
"I thought nannies were supposed to be old?" Midoriya spoke with a straight face. Sasha was taken by surprise by Midoriya's question once again. She lightly glares at Midoriya, whose expression remains the same. She had finished putting the band-aids on his knees and hands and was continuing the conversation.
"Oi Mido, anyone with the right qualifications can be a nanny? Besides, I proved myself to them."
Midoriya nodded his head, but he still wondered how exactly Sasha, who around that time would have been in her 20s, was able to be a nanny for some rich family.
"Then how rich were they?"
"Oh, they were super-rich! The first time I arrived for the job interview, their house was fucking huge!" said Sasha as she made some hand movements to show how big the house was.
While Midoriya hated that Sasha had to be stuck in this shitty place, a small part was grateful that Sasha was here or he would probably be more broken than he already is, or worst he becomes what he fears the most.
"That rich they were, then how about the kids you took care of?"
"Oh to be honest I don't know if I would call them kids, they acted much more like adults but I guess it's because of the environment they lived in. Their parents always wanted them to excel in everything. I felt bad for them so, I would occasionally give them some time off from all that stress. Since the parents were never home, I would teach them about some games I used to play as a child like the mafia game." Said Sasha as she pause for a minute.
Midoriya could tell that Sasha cared deeply for those kids from the small smile that held fondness from the nostalgia. He was glad that Sasha had happy memories that could help her disassociate from this reality.
Sasha continued, "I think they should be around your age, Mido…"
Sasha's voice held sadness at the fact she couldn't see the children she took care of grow up. Even though Midoriya didn't fully understand that sentiment, he place his hand on Sasha's hand in a comforting manner.
Sasha smiled in appreciation for Midoriya trying to comfort her, as she was about to say something else. They heard the door from the entrance being open, turning their heads to the direction, and saw that it was one of the men that watched over Sasha.
"Oi let's go. We're starting the move." Said the man, who had scars all over his face.
Midoriya and Sasha felt the prison cell become more tense. Sasha bit her bottom lip but knew she had to obey before getting up. She squeezed Midoriya's hand one more time as a way to say it's okay.
Midoriya returned the gesture and saw as the man along with Sasha exited the door. Now, he was alone as he waited for them to come get him for the move.
Midoriya hated the loneliness and complete silence in the prison cell, it let his thoughts run wild.
The door was heard opening, not bothering to lift his head up Midoriya knew who it was.
"It's time." Said Shi, his face was sweating from the work he had to do quickly. He was staring at Midoriya, who knew what to do. He lifted himself up from the ground, Midoriya headed towards the prison cell door and waited for Shi to unlock the door.
After it got unlock, Midoriya exit the prison cell door and was standing in front Shi, waiting for his next order. Shi didn't bother to throw in one of signature psychopathic smiles and decided to focus on his task, as he reached for a needle with some sort of medicine from his pocket and removed the safety lid from it.
Midoriya felt the needle being injected in his throat, doing its course and running through his veins. He felt his body becoming weak and losing its strength, his eyes were struggling to stay open until the medicine took its control over his body and made him succumb to sleep.
Before Midoriya's slump body made contact with the floor, Shi managed to catch him effortlessly.
"Let's go." Said Shi to himself, as he went to lift Midoriya's body with his muscled arms. Carrying Midoriya in his arms, he exited the room and ordered the two men near it to clean the place out so no evidence was left behind.
Walking down the hall for a few minutes, he encountered some stairs and started to climb them. Arriving at the top, the area became completely different, it appeared the halls were underground of a warehouse that was almost empty. The only things being there were a few of their trusted people and three moving trucks that were loaded with evidence from the warehouse.
Akumazou was ordering some of them around, as they were finishing up. She turn around and saw Shi carrying Midoriya in his arms, and snapped her fingers toward one of their people. Who scurry with a blanket to cover Midoriya up and retreat to their positions.
"You ready?" Asked Akumazou.
"Yeah." Responds Shi, who headed towards one of the last moving trucks that was open from the back. Seeing that their other precious asset was already lying inside the moving truck, unconscious with her legs and hands bound along with her mouth tape, did Shi do the same thing to Midoriya. Placing him next to Sasha, he covers them both with the blanket over their body.
As he exited the moving truck, Shi waved to one of their people, the man who had scars all over his face. The man walked towards Shi and was standing next to Shi as if waiting for his command.
"Let's go people!" shouted Akumazou as she entered one of the moving trucks. An few of them follow Akumazou action, while the others open the big doors of the warehouse and enter in black SUVs parked in front of the moving trucks.
Luckily the area in the city they are in right now, heroes never patrol given the people who live here are from the low class and lack funding from the government.
Along with the fact that this area of the city is known to be a frequent hotspot for villains and criminals. The only times they came to this area of the city was if they needed to raid some villain's hideout. The occasional encounters with underground heroes and vigilantes can be a problem with the grim reapers. But with the right amount one can bribe some police officers who can deal with these problems and along the way can turn a blind eye to their business which benefits them greatly.
"Asashi, do it now," said Shi, who headed to the passenger side of the moving truck where Midoriya and Sasha were located. Asashi nodded and turn to close the back of the moving truck but before that Asashi touched the bottom of the moving truck.
Suddenly the view of Midoriya and Sasha disappeared and the image of brown boxes appeared.
He went to close it and headed to the driver's side of the moving truck. As they headed into the night of the city of Musutafu.
All Might or otherwise known as Yagi Toshinori hated himself, for his failure as a hero and a teacher. Because of him the students of class 1-a, Aizawa, and thirteen got hurt. He knew that him being a teacher was going to put a big target on U.A and he accepted it. However, a part of him knew that if he hadn't used up his limit he could have saved them from experiencing this situation and the students didn't have to suffer.
Remembering young lida desperate face as he explains to him and Principal Nezu the attack on U.S.J. Yagi grimace at remembering the poor boy was on the verge of crying because he felt guilty that he left his classmates' behind. The injured bodies of Thirteen and Aizawa laying on the ground.
The students relive expressions at seeing him. This shouldn't have happened was what Yagi was thinking. He knew his self-guilt will eat at him.
Turning back to the conversation happening in front, he saw principal Nezu and the other U.A teachers discussing the attack on U.A. Even for the small size of principal Nezu, he can feel the power he had over the conversation, around the oval table where all teachers gather to discuss school matters.
After dealing with the media and ensuring the children could safely leave, it took almost the whole day to finish those things.
All Might bit his bottom lip in displeasure at remembering the tired expression of class 1a students. He knew they would have to face situations similar to it but they were still too young.
"Principal Nezu, this attack on U.A was a bold act on the villains, that can only mean that they had to have a hidden weapon," said Cementoss in a serious voice.
"I agree, Cementoss that's why Detective Naomasa is going to explain the discovery that was made." said the principal. In a serious tone unlike his carefree manner. Which isn't unreasonable given that as adults and heroes they were suppose to protect the future generation.
The fact they fail to do that in a place that was meant to create the future generation of heroes was a slap on the face.
"As Cementoss said, the villains did not attack carelessly, they had a hidden card which luckily we managed to capture thanks to All Might." said Naomasa, who stared at him in appreciation.
The other U.A teachers nodded their heads in agreement. All Might couldn't help but feel the admiration of the teachers to him, and felt that he didn't deserve it. That he was putting up a facade for the heroes with his All Might form.
"If I remember, the villain said the creature was called Nomu, Detective Naomasa." ask All Might, while he was close to Detective Naomasa he wanted to remain formal for professional. Detective Naomasa understood and continued.
"Yes, when the officers went to capture the nomu, we were prepared for the creature to fight back but oddly enough the nomu didn't attack us. It was almost like they were a mindless zombie. Or to be more specific like it was waiting for an order from its master. " said Detective Naomasa as he rubbed his chin in confusion.
"Then doesn't that mean it could possibly be man-made…" muttered Vlad King. The room became quiet at the significance of the comment. A creature that was able to be on par with All Might.
All Might felt chills on his body at the thought of more nomus being created, he cursed himself for being in the state of condition he was in. Right when his health was deteriorating, was when he was needed the most.
"We can not make any assumptions. While it appears to be man-made, we don't know the process it took for these nomus to be created. But what we know is that we have to put a stop to this league of villains before it becomes a bigger problem." informed Principal Nezu.
Various agreements were heard through the room.
As the other U.A were leaving, the only ones remaining in the room were All Might, Detective Naomasa, and Principal Nezu.
They were seated close together, Principal Nezu was sitting in the middle, while All Might and Detective Naomasa were sitting on the right and left sides of Nezu. The information they were about to receive would remain between the three of them until they felt it was safe to share.
Feeling that he was in the clear, Yagi release his All Might form, and his muscled body shrank to his skinny form which showed how his health has worsened.
"Tsukauchi, what did you find about the leader of the attack?" said All Might, forgetting about formality.
"From witnesses' accounts it appears that there was one ringleader, while the others were low ranking villains. From the description I was handed I was able to figure out the identity of the leader, meet Shigaraki." said Naomasa as he pulled out a file with the blurry image of a young man with severe hands over his body.
Naomasa continue, "Not much is know about him,we only his name and the fact that he merciless murdered twenty people by using his quirk. "
All Might let out a soft gasp at the fact that such a young person could commit such atrocities.
"I can see why the other villains would join him. Nothing but ruthless." injected Nezu.
"I agree with Principal Nezu, but we think there is another person behind this league of villains."
"How are you sure, Tsukauchi?" commented All Might.
"From interrogating the villains we capture, they told us about how Shigaraki would behave like a child when something didn't go his way. One of the villains said that they had witnessed Shigaraki use his quirk on someone because he quote 'was annoying'."
"A man-child…" muttered All Might, realizing why the young man was taunting him like a child bullying someone at the playground.
"Yes, but we will do further investigation to gather more evidence of this league."
"The heroes are willing to help in any way necessary." injected Nezu.
"It is very much appreciated, principal Nezu." replied Detective Naomasa.
All Might was processing all the information that Naomasa gave, when he realized the question on his mind.
Those green eyes.
"Tsukauchi, what about the boy I told you about?"
Detective Naomasa's serious expression softened as he faced All Might, "I couldn't find any information related to the description you gave me, Toshi.."
"Its fine, Tsukauchi. I know you tried your hardest to find information." said All Might as he let out a frustrated sigh. The image of the boy is still fresh in his mind.
"All Might how sure are you that the boy was there by force? There been cases of young villains that are sadly around the age of our students." interjected Nezu, when he heard from All Might about the boy that he saw near Shigaraki and how the boy looked to be in distress.
He hated the idea of someone being held by force, however from his experience in hero work, he knew there was a possibility that it was a young villian.
"I know, Principal Nezu. It's just.. The way the boy was looking at me it was as if.. he was calling out for help even if he didn't know it.." rambled All Might, remembering how he and the boy made eye contact, even with the mask that cover most of the boy's face, his green eyes staring at him with a strange combination of fear and hope.
Detective Naomasa, seeing his friend being in turmoil, turns to Principal Nezu.
"All Might might be onto something, Principal Nezu. There are accounts that there was a second organization involved with the attack on U.S.J '' spoke seriously Naomasa.
At this sudden news, Principal Nezu and All Might had suprise expressions on their faces.
"Another organization?!" said All Might.
Detective Naomasa nodded his head with a straight face and continued. "Though the information we have so far is not a lot to go by, it's suggested that another villain organization was involved. However, unlike the league of villains that are willing to expose themselves to the world, this organization prefers to remain in the shadows. But like the league of villains, we will investigating them no matter what" The discovery of these two villains groups brought the room to a silence as they process the information.
"Then I fear this attack is only the beginning. Starting today I will double security and discuss our next plan of action to prevent any possible attacks in the future." said the serious principal, fearing that the foundation of heroes is in danger.
All Might nodded his head in agreement, however inside his mind was in disarray with emotions of guilt, anger, and sadness. The years he spends as the symbol of peace were going to be for nothing, when the time he is needed the most is when he had reached his limit. All Might bit his bottom lip as he cursed lady luck for her joke of irony.
Detective Naomasa did not fail to notice this expression on his friend, and was wearing a concerned expression.
Principal Nezu let out a sigh, "We can discuss this matter further tomorrow. Right now, we all should go get some sleep, especially you, All Might. You went past your limit once again, I'm honestly surprised you were able to join this meeting."
All Might felt called out by Principal Nezu but he knew the white mouse or bear was expressing some concern for him.
Suddenly he felt chills down his body when he turn to look at Tsukauchi, who was glaring at him at the news that he push himself once again. All Might knew he was about to get scold by Tsukauchi and a part of him thought that may have been Principal Nezu's intentions.
Turning to Principal Nezu to express a feeling of betrayal, he saw a small smile on Nezu's face as if telling him it's for your own good, you self-sacrificed idiot'.
All Might thought he was able to avoid them finding out about the after effects that he was having after the U.S.J attack. Which was hopeful wishing since nothing could get past the smart mouse.
"Yes, Principal Nezu." reply All Might. Both of the men got up from their seats and bowed to Principal Nezu, who bid them a goodnight.
As they exited the door and heard the knob click close, All Might felt a hand on his shoulder as he was being guided to the nurse office of U.A.
"Oi Tsukauchi, why are we going to the nurse's office?"
"You know exactly why, Toshi." replied Tsukauchi, who was trying not to put too much pressure on All Might's fragile body.
"I'm fine, I didn't push myself that hard. Besides, it's getting late." All Might tried to ease his friend's worries, but saw the concerning expression on his face.
"We can leave after I treat you, unless you want me to call Recovery girl?" ask Tsukauchi with a deadpanned look.
"You wouldn't…" All Might thought Tsukauchi was joking until he saw his deadpan expression, and knew he was dead serious. Sweatdropping at Tsukauchi's seriousness and him not wanting to be scolded by Recovery girl, All Might allowed himself to be guided effortlessly by Tsukauchi.
Arriving at the nurse office, the sun began to set down for the day, meaning that there was no one in the nurse office.
One of the reasons he wanted to hide the after-effects of pushing himself was because he didn't want to cause more problems for Recovery girl, especially after a day like today. Even though the elderly woman always scolds him for pushing himself, she would always treat him no matter what, it made him feel guilty for putting too much burden on her.
In a way, he thought it was better for him to hide his pain than, disturb others. He was the symbol of peace, the one who shows no weakness.
Tsukauchi, himself knew that mindset of All Might, and he hated that his friend doesn't realize that he's human like everyone in this world. That just because he holds the title of number one hero, the symbol of peace in Japan, doesn't mean he has to be strong every time. A part of him knew that it came with the pressure of being a hero but he hated seeing his friend suffer so much with all these expectations.
"Sit." said Tsukauchi as he pointed to the hospital bed by the window.
All Might obediently follow Tsukauchi's command like a puppy getting scolded.
Tsukauchi went to dig around the cabinets for some medical wraps, wipes, and antiseptic or hydrogen peroxide. Finding the things he needed, he went to stand in front of All Might.
"Let me see."
"I don't think it's a big deal Naomasa."
"Yagi Toshinori."
Hearing that, All Might knew there was no point in arguing. Lifting the shirt from his hero outfit that was too big for his scrawny form, Tsukauchi winced at the injuries in front of him.
While this wasn't the first time Tsukauchi saw his friend's injuries, it always made him wince.
He wasn't there in-person at the showdown between All Might and All for One.
But he witnessed the aftermath when he saw Yagi lying in the hospital bed with machines keeping him alive. He had been transported to the hospital with critical injuries and by the grace of God survived.
However, it had serious consequences for Yagi's body.
Yagi's stomach was lost and his respiratory system was damaged beyond repair. No doctors could cure him no matter what, Tsukauchi remembered the empty eyes that were void of life when hearing the news. And the painful force smile All Might gave him and the others as he told them that all good things come to an end.
Even after the heartbreaking news Yagi managed to keep doing his herowork even if it meant he was one step closer to the doors of death.
A part of him now understood what that person meant when he said he couldn't stand by All Might's side as the man slowly killed himself. He hated having the same thoughts as him, but unlike him, Naomasa wasn't going to leave like he did. He saw the damage it did.
Still sometimes it made Tsukauchi question if his prayer was better off not answered.
Seeing All Might's painful force smile at hearing that his hero career was over felt like a thousand knives stabbing Tsukauchi's heart. Like a part of his friend died that day. How the man still keeps pushing himself to save people at the cost of his health.
He knew he was being selfish, and not thinking of the drastic effects of losing the number one hero of Japan could have on society. But unlike normal civilians, Tsukauchi witnessed from the shadows how the man put up with the pressure of society on being invincible and a pillar of peace.
Everyone relied on him to keep their burdens or problems, while no one took into consideration All Might.
It always made Tsukauchi hate but admire his friend.
The injury that was supposed to heal was leaking blood due to Yagi being in his All Might form longer than usual and the nomu attacking him. Tsukauchi could see some of Yagi's ribs poking out, making him question if Yagi was even taking care of himself.
"It looks worse than it appeared Naomasa," said All Might with a soft voice, noticing the pain expression on Tsukauchi's eyes. He hated that someone close to him had to see him in this condition.
"When you say that, it doesn't make it better Toshi." Tsukauchi replied bluntly.
"I'm sorry…"
"There is no need to apologize, Toshi. I know it wasn't your intention, it's not like you could have predicted the villain attack at U.S.J." said Tsukauchi as he poured antiseptic on the wipes to disinfect the opening wounds and clean the blood that was leaking.
All Might winced when Tsukauchi's hand landed on an area that was sensitive.
"Sorry" said Tsukauchi with apologetic expression, while he had experience treating Yagi injuries, his body could be sensitive at times.
"It's fine Naomasa, and I know that I shouldn't have pushed myself but my students and co-workers were in danger because of me." Said Yagi, a sad smile on his face.
Tsukauchi let out a tired sigh at Yagi blaming himself once again, he wanted to retort but he knew it would be worthless knowing his friend's personality. Between the two men, it was a comfortable silence between them as Naomasa treated Yagi's injuries.
"Done." said Tsukauchi, as he finished wrapping the medical bandages around Yagi's waist. He lifted his eyes to Yagi, who understood his friend was asking if it wasn't too tight.
"Thank you, Naomasa." replied Yagi, who nodded his head in affirmation.
Letting a smile appear on his face, " Good then, I'll give you a ride back to your home." said Tsukauchi.
"There's no need, Naomasa." replied Yagi, he didn't want to inconvenience Tsukauchi with his already busy schedule.
"I'm not accepting a no"
Yagi, seeing his friend's serious expression, knew there was no choice, letting out a sigh once again.
"Okay."
Tsukauchi hates being this way but that was the only way he knew Yagi was going to accept help.
As the men walked towards the entrance of U.A, it was quiet between the men, not that they mind given what a day it was. The sun had rested for the day, and the brightness of the moon and the bright lights of the city guided them towards the entrance.
All Might had so many thoughts in his head, thinking about his successor, the villain attack, the rise of villain organization, rise of crimes, and so on. All Might thought to himself that if only he was in his prime, maybe these things could have been stopped before any more innocent people got hurt. It was like these things were happening right when his time was running out.
"Toshi, thinking about it will only cause more stress." Interrupted Naomasa.
"I know but I think it's ironic that all these things happening right when my time is up, Naomasa." replied All Might with a soft laugh.
"Toshi, the crime rate was already rising during the middle of your hero career. And there is only so much you heroes can do to stop the crimes that are happening, and sadly you can not stop the people who act on these things," said Tsukauchi as he turned to face All Might. All Might nodded his head, Tsukauchi's words brought some comfort to All Might.
"I understand, Tsukauchi but… with the U.S.J attack and these villain organizations, I fear that more is to come…" spoke All Might as he lifted his head up to the bright moon that showed the beauty of the night sky in the bustling city. Tsukuachi's eyes remained on All Might, whose face appeared to be more tired than ever.
Tsukauchi knew that All Might was speaking the truth, society is slowly changing if for good or for bad was still something they could not say.
Letting out a quiet sigh, Tsukauchi was thinking of the future, where a small part of him hoped that All Might's burdens could be lessened.
"Then we have to support the future generation in any way we can, Toshi." replied Tsukauchi, as they exited the entrance of U.A.
All Might nodded his head in agreement and thought of his successor and his students. A part of him decides that with the time he has, he will do everything he can to help the future generation of heroes.
At the sighting of a Volkswagen, the men enter the vehicle and head into the bustling night of the city.
On the other side of the bustling city, Fuyo prefecture was having its own fun. The nightclubs were busy as ever, with crowds of people hoping to release some stress. Some were outsiders while others were well used to the dangers of this prefecture.
Owners of regular stores were closed since they knew that danger seemed to increase during the night. As if it wasn't any safer during the day, criminals could walk carelessly in the streets without fear since they own these streets.
Homeless people were sleeping in the alleys, hoping that they wouldn't encounter any trouble. Occasionally the drunkards would wander the streets drunkenly dazed, and wonder why their wallets are missing. Not knowing if a passerby stole it or if it was one of the working girls or boys that was entertaining them.
In this prefecture, in a warehouse, there were people unloading crates from moving trucks and transporting them to a hidden room that was dedicated to these crates. Akumazou was guiding them in her strict manner. While Shi and Asahi were carrying Sasha and Midoriya to the place they will call home.
Unlike the other location, the building was larger and didn't require them to use underground. So walking for a few minutes did they arrive at an area where it was isolated, did Shi order Asashi to head further and lock Sasha in an enclosed room. Following Shi's command, he walk further until Shi could not see him with the light that the night sky gave.
Turning to the right side did he see the door to the other enclosed room, and opening it as he balanced Midoriya's sleeping body in his arms.
Entering he saw that there was a mattress on the ground and a small window that offered some light to the room. Laying Midoriya down on the mattress, Shi left the blanket on Midoriya.
Shi exited the room and took out the key that was given to them. Locking it, Shi saw that Asashi was walking toward him and handed him the key to Midoriya's room.
"Give the keys to Akumazou and help her unload the drugs. And make sure it all counted for or else the doc starts bitching like always," informed Shi as he pass Asashi, who was bowing in a ninety-degree angle.
"Understood," said Asashi in a serious manner.
Shi was walking for a few minutes until he reached the other side of the building, where he entered a room. The room was simple, and small compared to the other areas of the building. In the middle was an oval table with multiple seats surrounding it.
Sitting in one of the seats was a beautiful woman with white hair that reached her shoulders. Her eyes were pink, she was wearing a red kimono that had slits on the sides that expose her thighs. It gave off a seductive appearance. However, her eyes were glaring at the woman who was standing in front of her.
The woman had bluish hair that became lighter as it reached her chest and had dark green eyes. Unlike the woman in the kimono, she had a suit and gave off the vibe of a secretary. Her face was beautiful even with the neutral expression.
"Master," spoke Shi, sensing the tension in the room.
Shi's master turns her attention to Shi, and begins to speak.
"Good to see you, Shi. How is the unloading of the supplies going?" spoke Shi's master in an alluring voice.
"It's going according to plan, master. The drugs are being sent to the room and the assets are locked up." Spoke Shi.
"See Yoshino? Nothing to worry about? I would not have dared to disappoint Akuma-sama." Said Shi's master in a carefree manner, as she turned to Yoshino. The woman in front of her let out a scoff at Shi's master comment.
"For the one who said with so much pride that she would bring good results from the job, I smell bullshit, Yanai ." Said bluntly Yoshino, she adjusted her glasses as she stared straight at Yanai.
Yanai got up from her seat in pure anger, and shouted. "How was I supposed to know that this league of villains raid would end up in a shitty failure?! At least look at the positive side, we made some earnings that can be used for the project! And got information on All Might!"
Yoshino's neutral expression quickly changed as she glared at Yanai.
"Because your idiot subordinates didn't leave immediately after not seeing All Might, who was our target, we now caught the eyes of the law enforcement outside Fuyo prefecture. Which is going to bring problems for Akuma-sama."
Yanai flinched at the reply of Yoshino and managed to hold her remarks and glared at Yoshino with bitter anger. Shi was biting his bottom lip to keep his thoughts in. He remains still as a statue as he witnesses the conversation between the women.
"This bitch! We manage to bring some good information on All Might, and she dares to insult, Master!"
Shi's thoughts were interrupted when Yoshino continued, "Though I suppose you did bring some good results, information on All Might will benefit us greatly." Yanai knew Yoshino was taking joy in humiliating her even if her neutral expression made her hard to read.
Yanai was biting her bottom lip to hold her remarks as she wanted to tell Yoshino that she shouldn't have insulted her and her subordinates in the first place.
"Hold it in Yanai! Right now, Yoshino ranks higher than you, but, at any moment you will beat her and then you'll get your revenge!" Thought Yanai.
Managing to control her emotions, Yanai replied, "I see, so what do you wish for me to do with the information about All Might. You know Midoriya-kun and that head of his." Knowing about some of the drawbacks of Midoriya quirk.
"Just leave him as he is, he'll know what he has to do unless he wants to see his big sister get hurt because of him." Replied Yoshino as she headed through the door next to Shi.
"Understood…" Yanai paused for a minute as if she was unsure of asking her question, but continued on.
"I know you said that law enforcement is going to be a nuisance but what about the heroes?" She knew that with this brazen attack on the number one hero school, it was going to attract many heroes.
The sound of Yoshino heels against the ground stop and she turns to Yanai and answers the question with a professional voice of a secretary.
"They are nothing but trash in our way, so ignore them for now. Besides, it's not like they can do much either way." Said Yoshino in a mysterious manner and started to walk out the door.
As the sound of heels disappeared, Yanai got up from her chair and spoke her thoughts out loud.
"Ugh! This bitch and her plain personality. I swear I don't see why Akuma-sama values her. I should have killed her before she joined the organization." Yanai walks towards Shi, in response Shi offers his arm as support. Yanai accepts it without problem, and places her hand over Shi's arm and they exit the room. Not that the woman needed any support, instead it was her way of getting attention that she enjoys.
"Master should not stress herself over someone like her." Reply Shi.
"Easy say than done, Shi. I know that bitch is going to report the more negative side to Akumazou-sama. Who's probably going to lose trust in me. And I won't rise the rank and I'll be stuck as one of the lowest rank and that bitch will keep humiliating me!" Yelled Yanai. Shi obediently listened to his master rant.
Without realizing it, they had made it to another area of the building, where it smells almost like a hospital.
However, the more they walk into the area, the hospital-like smell disappears and is replaced with something that could only be described in one word.
Death.
Arriving in front of two metal doors,Shi proceeds to open the door for his master.
As they entered the room that turned out to be a huge laboratory, there were several men with white lab coats who were working and focused on something in the center of the laboratory.
Yanai removed herself from Shi's arm and went to clap her hands, as she shouted to the crowd of scientists.
"Gentlemens!"
Hearing this, the scientists stopped what they were doing and froze in their position.
"Yanai-sama, w-what do we owe the pleasure" spoke one of the scientists as he headed towards her, he was short with a round stomach and barely had hair on his head minus the white mustache, there were beads of sweat on his forehead.
"Why, I'm here to see the results we have so far? What else?" Spoke Yanai in a sweet voice that could bring any person on their knees, however the scientists could feel the venom in those words.
"I see, Yanai-sama but w-we have to inform you, there is still some error to be fixed."
"Oi, I said I want to see the results." spoke Yanai as her sweet voice turned to an annoyed tone at the scientist. She gritted her teeth towards the scientist, she wasn't in the best mood and this man was annoying her.
Understanding Yanai-sama, the scientist nodded his head and turned to his colleagues or fellow scientists. Quickly the men move aside from the center of the laboratory to allow Yanai and Shi to see what had the scientists focus.
Upon closer look, there were two metal tables that one would see in a mortuary, unlike the clean stainless tables, these were covered in blood both dried and wet showing the disturbing reality.
Right in front of them, on those metal tables were two people, one was an adult female and a teenage girl.
Both were chained to the metal table from wrists to ankles, and gagged with a rope to silent their screams. They were wearing old clothes that were tattered and barely fit them. Their eyes were empty of life, blood was coming out of their mouth and was slowly drowning them. Painful moans were coming from the girls as if they were helpless begging for an end.
"How are the results? '' said Yanai, the scene not bothering her at all.
"So far wrath is doing its work, however I fear the side effects are much more drastic than we anticipate." spoke the scientist.
Yanai placed her hand under her face as she was thinking, none of the scientists dared to speak and waited with holding breaths.
Without warning, Yanai walks towards the girls bound on the metal tables.
"I'll count that as a win gentlemens. Besides, isn't there the saying that goes 'progress takes time' " said Yanai, who stared at the girls in front of her. Her pink eyes were looking down on the pitiful states of the girls.
"You are right as alway,Yanai-sama! This is just a.. ugh!" spoke the scientist until he was interrupted when he felt a hand around his throat.
Yanai turned to the scientists with a cold glare and spoke once again. "However, Dr.Ren we are in need to speed progress. So, increase the doses and figure out how to fix those side effects."
Dr.Ren helplessly held on to Shi's hand as it was cutting off his oxygen.
"This bitch! I already knew she was in a bad mood because of Yoshino, now she wants to take it out on me!" thought Dr.Ren.
"Do you still not understand me, Dr.Ren?" said Yanai and on command Shi tighten his hand around Dr.Ren's throat.
"I-I understand!!" shouted Dr.Ren through ragged breaths.
Nodding her head, Shi removed his hand and Dr.Ren began to cough up for fresh air.
"Cough! You do realize that upping the doses is going to kill my precious subjects."
"I don't see why that's a problem, you basically made the whole Fuyao prefecture your damn playground."
"Still, I need to see the effects first hand."
Yanai let out an annoyed sigh at the doctor, who didn't care given that he knew what he said was the truth. There was a difference in seeing the effects it had on the criminals and villains or random addicts but, if they want to advance to the next phase they need to be normal subjects.
"Who cares, if they died just replace them" said nonchalantly Yanai.
"Isn't that a little cruel, Yanai-sama?" said Dr.Ren, unafraid to comment. Unlike the other scientists who were watching from the sideline.
A few minutes ago he had feared Yanai's mood was going to get worse from the results but now knew it was already bad in the beginning.
Yanai scoffed at the Dr.Ren hypocrite comment and turned to the girls on the metal tables as their lifeless eyes stared towards the worn down ceiling.
"Sacrifices are needed for the future of a new era,Dr.Ren" said Yanai with a cynical smile.
