Chapter 2

Layton's POV

Poor little Layton had no chance against David. His large hairy arms were too strong, his glare too intimidating.

Layton struggled and pulled, but his fat little hands were too weak to resist David's godly strength.

His mouth was gagged, hairy fingers choking him. And then everything went black.

2 HOURS LATER

Layton's vision swam back to him, slowly at first but rather rapidly as he began to register his surroundings. A dark basement.

He immediately screamed. Or tried to anyway. His voice was croaky from disuse, and his mouth gagged with a thick cloth. It was crunchy, for some reason, and hard.

How long had he been down here? How long had he been tied to this chair, the rough rope digging tightly into his wrists? How long would he be left down here now?

The little he could see of the basement was illuminated by a small, orange lamp. And by the looks of it, Little Layton wasn't the only kid down here. In fact, there were six more that he could see, all but one sleeping in their chairs.

The last one, a tall girl with greasy black hair, had been staring at Layton the whole time he had been gathering his surroundings. Finally, she spoke.

"Finally, you're awake. You have no idea how boring these others are."

Layton recognised that voice. But from where?

"Oi, Layton! You gonna say anything?"

What? How did the girl know his name? He spat out the crunchy cloth. Cum sock? He didn't know for sure, but that's what it felt like. "Who you saying 'oi' to, eh? And how do you know my name, stupid girl?"

"Girl? I'm a boy, you ninnyhammer! It's me! It's Daniel!"

"Daniella? Who's Daniella?"

"Daniel! Daniel Eggbottom!"

Oh my goodness… It was Daniel! "Hello greasy smelly boy," Layton spoke, "So did Señor Secrets kidnap you too?"

"No, I just wandered into the basement and tied myself to a chair." Daniel replied sarcastically.

"Really? Why would you do that?"

"Well obviously I was kidnapped, you dingus. Didn't you realise that I went missing like three weeks ago? And they blamed it on those druggies again, like they did with Marcus, and Charlotte, and Brian, and everyone else that went missing! Right?"

"Oh! Yeah, that's what happened," Layton replied, "Why would-"

Suddenly a loud bang came from above them, startling them enough to cut Layton off. Then, slowly enough to be excruciating, A door opened close to the ceiling at the other side of the large basement, flooding the dark room with warm light.

A figure appeared in the door. It was Señor Secrets.

A loud gasp arose from Layton's mouth, which was cut off by his leg being kicked. Hard.

"Ow!" He squealed, and immediately started crying. David's silhouette darkened the staircase down, each step signifying a step closer to Layton's untimely demise. He could see a large bread knife held in David's hand, and he knew that he was almost at his end.

With every step that David took, Layton cried more. And just when he thought he was about to explode…

David reached up, and something clicked. A small bulb lit in the middle of the room, illuminating the basement with a warm glow. More light. Good.

Still crying, Layton braced a glance towards the notorious Señor Secrets. His kidnapper. And he was completely startled by what he saw.
