Disclaimer: I don't own Pokemon.
"Morpeko, use Aura Wheel!"
"Cinderace, Pyro Ball!"
The two attacks cancelled each other out, it seemed, but Cinderace's Pyro Ball ultimately threw Morpeko back. It was just another battle against Team Rocket, in the outskirts of Viridian City, as Ash and Goh were preparing to head for Professor Oak's place.
"Pikachu! Thunderbolt!" Ash shouted, as the mouse shot one last jolt at Team Rocket.
"Ohhhh noooo! Looks like Team Rocket is blasting off again!" the trio shouted as they were sent flying, alongside Morpeko and Wobbuffet.
"Eh... that took care of them. Let's go home." Ash said.
"So Ash," Goh said, "why do you think Oak summoned us? I mean your mother is in Alola of all places, she left two days ago in vacation."
"Maybe he'll show us some new Pokemon! Or who knows, maybe that Terastallize technique that's been all the rage!" Ash gleed.
"Besides, I think I can take care of my home for one day or two."
"Ash... that's not you, to be honest." Goh spoke on a low voice.
"Don't worry. We're gonna have a nice stop in my hometown, Goh!"
Later
"Hello?"
"Professor! Me and Goh have arrived here in Pallet! When can we visit?"
"Come as soon as possible, Ash." Oak said.
"Okay! We'll be at your place in a minute."
Ash and Goh dashed with their Pokemon towards Oak's place. Pikachu, Cinderace and Grookey were outside of their Poke Balls.
A few minutes later
"Professor Oak! We are here."
"Good afternoon, Professor Oak." Goh spoke, on a polite tone.
"Hello Ash, it's been a while. And nice to see you again, Goh."
"So, what do you want to show us, Professor?"
"Ash, son, I'm going to get everything ready for you as soon as possible. It's about the new Terrastalize effect that's made the news."
"That's great! Goh, it's what I was guessing."
Ash thought he was going to discover the new strange phenomenon found in Paldea, and you would think that Goh, who had just captured Mew, would find it of great use. After all, Mew can be anything it likes, so this effect would go hand in hand with its ability.
"Children", Oak said, "while everything is ready, please go into the ranch. Your Pokemon missed you dearly, Ash!"
"Okay, Professor! We'll be waiting for you!" as the two ran off into the ranch.
Oak's Ranch
As Ash and Goh walked outside, he noticed Charizard. One of Ash's first Pokemon. Charizard greeted Ash with a Flamethrower. It was a nice reunion, after all, and Ash introduced his Charizard to Goh and his Cinderace and Grookey. However, Goh quickly noticed he couldn't see any other of Ash's Pokemon.
"Ash."
"What is it, Goh?"
"I've got... a bad feeling about this."
"No, Goh." Ash laughed. "Everything should be fine. This ranch is very big! Let's go and find them."
And Ash was right. As he and Goh started walking around the ranch, he could notice many of his previous Pokemon companions, including Noivern, Heracross, Muk, Hawlucha, Goodra, a still affectionate Bayleef, Kingler, and finally, one of his most loyal partners, Bulbasaur. Bulbasaur held a special place among his Pokemon. He was pretty much the, ermm, "president" of the ranch.
But what Ash did not know... was that Goh was right, as well.
"Hey Goh, is everything okay now?" Ash smiled.
"Ash... to be honest, no." Goh still thought.
"What do you mean? Professor is going to get everything ready. And it's just the two of us here."
"Just the two of you?" A voice suddenly spoke.
"Eh?" Ash was startled. He started to look around, but nothing.
Two minutes of lookaround have passed... nothing. "Hey Ash, it was probably just a fluke. Let's meet your other Pokemon."
"Right."
Ash and Goh kept walking. They had managed to meet another one of Ash's trustworthy partners, Infernape. Infernape hugged Ash and shook hands with Goh and his Cinderace. This would be the last Pokemon they would meet before they...
"Ah, Goh. About this Infernape..."
"Yes, Ash." Goh said.
"Yes, Ash." another voice was heard, unbeknownst to them. It seemed familiar, but Goh spoke over it, so the two didn't notice anything.
"He was my partner in the Sinnoh League. We defeated Paul together - this Infernape was caught as a Chimchar by Paul himself. But back then, he had very high standards. Chimchar could not live up to them, and he released it."
"Whoa! Interesting story," Goh spoke, "that's just like your Gengar, now that I think about it..."
"I remember him so well." yet another familiar voice spoke.
Ash and Goh were startled again. Just like last time, they started looking around but found nothing.
"Ash." Goh said. "Is this place... haunted?" he asked in a more or less serious manner.
"It's never been haunted. Besides, it's midday, and my Pokemon are still just as natural as before. So who could it be?" Ash said.
"I'm thinking of something else..." Goh spoke. "Those voices heard before... they seem a little familiar to me." Cinderace and Grookey were seemingly a little suspicious as well.
Perhaps it would have been a good idea, at this point, for Cinderace to throw a Pyro Ball at something, or encircle themselves in a ring of fire or electricity. But Ash was oblivious. He let it slide again, and the two continued their walk.
They reached a tiny forest, which led to the next area - where Ash's 30 Tauros resided, and where Heracross was normally feeling at home. But Heracross was seen earlier than the two, looking for Bulbasaur, to suck on his bulb.
Ash and Goh decided to go through the forest. This was Ash's fatal mistake.
Meanwhile, somewhere hidden in the forest...
"Hey. He's coming this way." a voice spoke.
"Right in our trap." another one giggled.
"We've waited so long for this..." another voice giggled.
"We're gonna tell him."
"That we all..."
"Right!"
"Hey, be quiet!"
"On my clue, we're all gonna ambush them. When I whisper one, two, three, we run!"
"Right!"
...
"Ash", Goh said, "where will this lead?"
"To my Tauros", Ash spoke. "Hey, I can see them up there. Let's go and meet them!"
"Right. Cinderace, Grookey, let's-"
But Goh did not manage to finish his phrase. Suddenly, a huge noise was heard right in front of him. He and his Pokemon didn't expect it, and he didn't tell them to react with any move.
When the dust was cleared... Ash was nowhere.
"Hey Ash? Ash? Where are you?" Goh was worried. Pikachu, Cinderace and Grookey were all with him.
In the forest
"Ahhh... that hurt... Hey, where am I?" Ash thought.
He could notice Goh and Cinderace from afar, so he tried to go back, but...
"Ash. Where do you think you're going?"
"Ehhh... Misty? Why are you here?"
"Hmm hmm hmm. Here's a hug first, and we'll tell you about it."
"But..."
"Don't try to leave. We know you like it."
"Ahhh... why are there so many girls hugging me?"
"Don't you realize, Ash? We're your goddamn companions."
"What do you mean?"
"He's probably right, Misty. It's too dark here. Sylveon, use Dazzling Gleam!"
Sylveon's Fairy-type move lightened up the area and gave it a rose aura. This allowed Ash to notice that... yes, it was all of Ash's girl companions hiding there. Eight of them.
"But... why are you here? Did you talk to Professor Oak?" Ash suddenly asked.
"Yes, Ash." Dawn giggled. "But we wanted to hit you with a surprise."
"Couldn't you have just waited for us to arrive?"
"Well Ashy", May said, "we kind of wanted only you with us. We knew that you were coming here with Goh."
"But why? Goh is a pretty cool guy himself, and some of you already know him."
"Ashy, you little kid. Don't you get it?" Iris giggled. "This was... our chance."
"Your chance to... what?"
"I kinda have to get out of here!" Ash thought. "But at the same time..."
"We want to tell you that we..."
"AHHHHHHHH!" a scream was heard. "HELP ME, GOH!"
And Ash ran for it throughout the forest, trying to make his way to Goh. Of course, all the girls were on the chase.
Two minutes later
"Ahhh! I made it! I gotta run now!" Ash screamed.
"Ash!" Goh said. "Go forward! Run as fast as you can. I'll try to buy you a little bit of time!"
A few seconds later, Goh stood forward, as all the girls got out to get Ash for themselves.
"Sorry, ladies." Goh spoke.
"Ehhh? Goh?"
"Who are you, you little bastard?"
"Let's make a deal. If you can get past me, I will let you have Ash for yourselves. If not, then..."
"Let me guess. You want him for yourself." Serena angrily spoke, but she was giggling in her own head.
"What can you do? We're so many, and you only have two Pokemon, you little one." Misty giggled.
"That's all I need! Cinderace! Grookey! Let's have some fun!" Goh shouted.
And this was the second fatal mistake. Goh thought he would be facing them one by one. But in a game of love, the rules are no holds barred, and overconfidence only draws you even further back. The girls have all sent out one of their Pokemon to confront Cinderace and Grookey.
"Glaceon, Ice Beam!"
"Sylveon, Moonblast!"
"Gyarados, Hydro Pump!"
"Snowy, help me out there! Use Freeze-Dry!"
"Dragon Rush!"
"Sparkling Aria!"
"Jump Kick!"
"Piplup, let's try to get the finishing touch! Use Ice Beam as well!"
As all of Cinderace and Grookey's eight opponents were charging powerful attacks, Goh started to look more and more horrified. Nevertheless, he got some of Ash's fighting spirit.
"Cinderace! Grookey! Let's show them." the two Pokemon nodded, and started charging their attacks.
"Let's go! Grookey, Branch Poke! Cinderace, Pyro Ball!"
Meanwhile
Ash ran away, and he managed to take his Pikachu with him. But he didn't know where to run. He couldn't use his Pokemon against his best friend's, and all he wanted was some inner peace. But something in his mind told him that he knew the girls have always been there for him and have always wanted the best for him. But then again... he knew Goh couldn't stand a chance. Goh didn't have Suicune or Eternatus on his hands. So he kept running at random, not knowing where to go.
Back to Goh vs the Pokegirls
"Cinderace, are you okay?"
"Grookey! Nooo!"
Grookey was knocked out. His Branch Poke attack did not do a single damage to his many opponents. However, Cinderace was still standing.
"Cinderace... let's bet it all on this." Goh returned Cinderace, and then...
"Answer my call, oh Eternal One! Kyodaimax!" And boom, the skies turned purple, and a gigantic Cinderace was facing his eight opponents.
"What's this...? Ash thought. "Did Goh use Kyodaimax? Or...?"
The girls looked a little bit in shock, but then they all looked at each other, smiled, and knew that he would be easy to remove.
"I'll finish it for you." Misty spoke. "Mega Evolve, Gyarados!"
As Gyarados mega evolved, he looked ready and just as threatening, and a powerful opponent for the gigantic Cinderace and the even bigger fire ball he was standing upon.
"Girls, I will need your help. Let's do it!" Misty shouted.
"Okay!"
"Ice Beam, all three of you!" May, Dawn and Lillie shouted.
"You too, Dragonite", Iris said.
"Tsareena, help me out there! Magical Leaf!" Mallow shouted.
"One more Sparkling Aria!" Lana shouted as well.
"Moonblast, let's go!"
And finally...
"Gyarados, you know what to do. Hydro Pump!"
The eight attacks were all converging. Cinderace needed a response their weight.
"Cinderace." Goh spoke. "Let's make history. Kyodai Kakyu!"
Meanwhile...
Ash was running at random, and he got back to... where he started, at Oak's place. The skies turned blue again...
...as it dawns upon Ash
"It must be that... Cinderace is gone."
And that was the truth. To be fair, all of the girls' Pokemon have taken damage. But Cinderace wasn't able to knock out any of them with the G-Max Fireball. He immediately returned to normal and... fainted.
"That was it, Goh! See you later!" The girls quickly returned their Pokemon and dashed forward. It turned out that they were running towards... Oak's place.
"Oh no..." Ash said. "Oak, where are you?" he thought.
And since there were no signs of Oak, Ash and Pikachu quickly stepped outside. They looked exhausted and they crashed to the ground.
"We found you." Serena giggled.
"He wasn't that tough after all", Misty spoke.
"We are strong, Ash. You can always count on us!" Dawn giggled, knowing that he has no place left to hide now.
"I... look, girls... you... you won."
"Now's our chance", Lillie and Mallow whispered.
Serena politely put Pikachu aside and cuddled up with Ash. The other girls all did the same, as much as they could. They were eight in total, so Mallow, Misty, Lana and Iris got the short end of the stick, but they still managed to hug Ash's legs.
The other four cuddled up on his chest and his two arms.
"You see Ashy," Serena spoke with a blush on her face, "I... I love you."
"..."
"So do I." Dawn said.
"Me too."
"Everyone here."
"..."
"What is it, Ash?" Lillie spoke, with a somewhat worried stance.
"...it's... it's okay. I love you too." Ash suddenly spoke.
"Really?" all the girls shouted.
"...yes. Come here."
Meanwhile
"I wasn't... strong enough... sorry... Cinderace... Grookey..." Goh said. Cinderace and Grookey suddenly popped out of their Poke Balls.
"Ace! Ace."
"Gorokeei!"
"Thank you. You were great out there. If only I sent out Mew..."
A third Pokeball activated. Yes, it was Mew. This particular Mew had a little bit of a human speaking ability.
"Goh... you fucktard, this better be a lesson for you."
"What do you mean, Mew?"
"Don't be overconfident. You can't handle this many Pokemon with only Cinderace." This left Grookey insulted, with an angry face feeling like it was ready to chase Mew down.
"You were fighting a gym leader and a champion, among others. Maybe if you sent me out, you could have done a better job. Although I still believe you would have lost."
"Mew... you..."
"That's all I will say for now. Good luck in your gym challenge, Goh." Mew spoke and it returned inside his Pokeball.
"Let's go back, Cinderace." Goh said.
Back to Ash and the girls
Tears of joy and kisses were heard next to Oak's storing house. Ash and the girls were crying in each other's arms. Ash's face was bloody red, full of kisses, and with his best friends... no... let's just call them lovers by now, at his side.
While he and the girls were sharing their moments, Goh appeared.
"Hey Ash, I'm... I'm here. Ash?"
"Goh?"
"Oh, hey look who it is." Serena giggled.
"I wasn't strong enough."
"Don't worry, Goh. I'm sure you did your best out there." Ash said.
"Ace! Ace."
"Look, even Cinderace agrees."
"I must admit," Misty said, "your Cinderace was powerful. If you come to challenge the Cerulean Gym one day, I'm sure you'll win my badge."
"But we ultimately got Ash to ourselves, Goh. It's game over for you."
"What do you mean, Mallow?" Goh spoke. "I never... loved Ash that way."
"Children! Everything is ready. You can come in now!" Oak shouted. Nothing happened.
"Hey, Ash, Goh? Where are you?" He went outside to the ranch, and there he saw Goh, and Ash too... with eight girls attached to him...
"Professor..." Ash spoke.
"The Terastallize showcase is ready."
"Is that like a Pokemon contest?" Dawn thought.
"Let's see it, Professor!" Goh said. "Maybe that'll help me and Cinderace actually win next time around."
"Okay, Goh. Let me heal up your Cinderace quick." Oak gave Cinderace a Full Restore and the fire-type Pokemon was immediately back up.
"Since you are so concerned with your lovebirds, Ash", I'll teach this mechanic to Goh for now.
"But Goh", Oak spoke, "you can't rely on this tactic to beat many Pokemon at once."
The girls all giggled and smirked. They knew Terastallize couldn't be THAT strong, either. Turning Pokemon gigantic didn't work, how could this?
"We've really shown him." Iris giggled. "But you know what, I see potential in Goh."
"He can be just like Ashy." Lana spoke.
"Yeah! We must cheer for Goh," Ash said, "because he told me that he wants to challenge the Indigo League".
After the showcase with Goh
"Goh", Ash spoke, "I'm really looking forward to your matches. They're gonna be on TV now."
"I promise you that I'm never gonna lose again, no matter what." Goh said.
"Yeah! That Tera- whatever thing will blow everyone away", Serena spoke.
"Hey Goh," Ash told him, "go to Pewter City first. Forrest will be waiting for you there."
"And maybe you'll even meet his friend, Brock", May said. "But if you do", she giggled, "take them on one by one".
"Ash," Goh spoke, "I've got the Tera Blast TM from Oak. I'll turn Cinderace into a Water-type Pokemon. I'm going to win!"
"Yeah! Good luck out there, Goh!" Ash and Goh shared a fist bump, and Goh went his own way, ready to follow Ash's path to becoming a powerful Trainer.
"As for you, girls... let's go home."
Later
"Hey, I managed to find room for all of us. It's kind of a small bed but I united Pikachu's bed together. He's gonna sleep on the floor."
"Okay, Ash. We just hope we can find a place next to you. We're gonna sleep as close as possible."
"Good night, everyone."
"Good night, Ashy," Serena giggled as she planted a kiss on Ash's lips, and the others followed.
Ash turned off the lights, he sat on the bed, with all the eight girls cuddled up. He was happy.
"Good luck out there, Goh." was his final thought.
