Shinichi Kudo was getting ready to go and meet his girlfriend Ran Mouri on another one of her schemes to get her parents back together. He went to the garage to tell The Doctor he was leaving and found him working on an old yellow car. ¨Hey Doctor where did you get the car¨ Shinichi asked.

¨Well I need a new method of transportation and Bessie was just lying around in The TARDIS so it was convenient¨ The Doctor responded.

¨You named your car bessie.¨

¨I don't have to explain my life choices to you.¨

¨Okay anyway I came to tell you I'm meeting up with Ran for a scheme to get her parents back together.¨

¨I wasn't aware her parents were divorced…but that does explain why Kogoro´s the way he is.¨

¨Actually he's always been that way¨ Shinichi said deadpanned.

¨Oh…that explains why his wife left him….well anyway Shinichi I can drive you there if you want¨ The Doctor asked politely.

¨You kidding i'm a famous detective I can't be seen riding in that¨ Shinichi said.

¨Very funny but if you're that worried about someone recognizing you just wear a disguise.¨

¨Hmmm¨ Shinichi thought about it for a moment ¨I got it¨ Shinichi left for a few seconds and came back wearing thick prescription glasses. ¨What do you think¨ Shinichi asked The Doctor.

¨You really think if you wear glasses people won't recognize you¨ The Doctor said.

Some Time later

¨I can't believe no ones recognized you¨ The Doctor said both irritated and in disbelief while Shinichi chuckled. They were at a restaurant and made their way to the table Ran was sitting at.

¨Hey Doctor¨ Ran said ¨um whos your friend¨ she asked.

¨What it's Shinichi wearing glasses I-I mean your his girlfriend shouldn´t you be able to recognize him¨ The Doctor said annoyed as Shinichi took off his glasses laughing.

¨Hahaha Doctor, never underestimate the human beings ability to be incredibly dense¨ Shinichi responded, still laughing like a madman.

¨Shinichi¨ Ran said angrily.

¨Ah not you Ran I mean other people¨ Shinichi said nervously.

The Doctor and Shinichi sat down at the table and waited for Eri to show up and she eventually did. ¨Ran it's great to see you again¨ Eri hugged her daughter and shook Shinichi´s hand as she sat down. ¨Uh who's this¨ Eri said pointing to The Doctor.

¨Oh I'm The Doctor Shinichi's roommate¨ The Doctor answered.

¨Aren't you a little old to be a high schoolers roommate¨ Eri questioned.

¨You have know idea and yet here we are.¨

After chatting for a little while there was a murder, Shinichi solved it with some help from The Doctor and the group left the restaurant.

¨After all that how about I make you all something to eat¨ Eri suggested.

¨Ah that sounds lovely¨ The Doctor responded. Shinichi and Ran however were giving The Doctor signals that said don't eat her cooking but The Doctor simply looked confused.

Some Time Later at The Kudo Mansion

¨Uh uh the pain¨ The Doctor wailed.

¨Me and Ran did try to warn you¨ Shinichi said as he and The Doctor looked around The TARDIS for something.

¨I have faced some of the most terrifying things imaginable and I nearly regenerated from that woman's cooking¨ The Doctor said in pain and finally he found a box and pulled out a tiny pink sphere. ¨Aha an Achoramacha healing sphere¨ The Doctor swallowed the sphere.

¨Feeling better¨ Shinichi asked.

¨Tremendously.¨

Suddenly The TARDIS doors opened and Eri saw that the inside was bigger than the outside and she collapsed.

An hour later

¨That's right mom aliens are real¨ Ran said comforting her mother as she processed the information.

¨She's taking it better than I expected¨ Shinichi said sarcastically.

¨Yes I expected her to be blowing into a bag by now¨ The Doctor also said sarcastically.
