Chapter XII: The Tunnel Network

Father Giorgio and me have been stalking them through the Nightmare World – the priest managed to create a system where he is able to spawn hidden tunnels in the Nightmare World and we can safely watch everything through small cracks we make in the walls (during his stay in Ashfield Father Giorgio had exorcised Henry's apartment and the items that had been used by Walter in his "Ritual of the Holy Assumption" and this gave him the knowledge of Walter's own Otherworld and that Walter's obsession with Room 302 (Walter believed Room 302 was his mother) was related to the appearance of portal tunnels in it. Father Giorgio then decided to meditate in an abandoned chapel in Silent Hill to develop his own tunnel system without having to perform any sick ritual. He heard a voice (he claimed to be God's very voice!) that led him to the Artaud Theater. In there the voice instructed him to craft a city model and add the tunnels as he saw fit. Through intense concentration, for hours silently sitting in front of the large stage mirror, Father Giorgio's tunnel network came into being. It is as if concentrating on the tunnels spawned them into existence like it is thought to happen with the phenomenon of "Tulpas"). The tunnels are changing all the time on their own though; nothing seems to sit still in this place, but the priest seems to have an unshakable faith in his system; he is certain it will grow stabler.
