Movie Night

One night, Libby made her way over to her girlfriend, Molly's house so they could have a sleepover together. As they talked to each other over the phone, Molly told Libby that she just got a new movie that she wanted them both to see. Libby knocked on the front door before Molly answered it and greeted Libby with a friendly smile.

"Libby! You made it!" Molly exclaimed before giving her girlfriend a tight hug.

"Oh, it's good to see you too, Molly!" Libby replied, surprised by the hug. "Can you please let go before I pass out from lack of air."

"Oops! Sorry!" Molly soon let go. "I'm just so excited for our sleepover together!"

Libby giggled. "That's okay, Molly! So, what movie did you want us to see?"

"You're going to love it, Libby! It is a romance movie about these two girls who meet in middle school and slowly develop romantic feelings towards each other!" Molly replied.

Libby had never heard of a movie like that before, but it sounded like a lot of fun to her.

"That sounds like a lovely movie! I'm excited to watch it with you!" Libby smiled.

As Libby entered Molly's house, Molly began to make popcorn before she and Libby sat down on the couch to watch the movie. When Molly turned on the tv, the movie began to play.

The movie opened up at a middle school, where a shy and timid girl named, Emily was walking through the hall of a middle school before she started to get bullied by the other students. Emily was pushed to the floor as she started to tear up. That was when another girl named, Rose stepped up and defended the shy girl from getting bullied before helping her up from the floor.

"Aww! It's so sweet that she stood up for that girl!" Molly commented, her eyes glued on the screen.

Libby nodded in agreement. "It was really brave of her to stand up to those bullies like that! It kind of made me wish that I stood up to Andrea when she was giving you a tough time on your first day of school."

Soon, Molly placed a comforting hand on Libby's shoulder. "Hey, don't worry about that day! Everything worked out in the end anyway! If there was one good thing that came from that day, it was the day that I met you!"

"Aww!" Libby blushed before held Molly's hand as they continued to watch the movie.

Throughout the movie, Rose and Emily became best friends as they shared many wonderful moments together. While Rose was happy and optimistic, Emily was shy and bashful. The movie continued to the next scene where it was Emily's birthday, so Rose tried to make the party as amazing as possible in an attempt to impress her.

"Hey, this reminds me of when you tried to my Bat Mitzvah better!" Libby recalled from watching that scene.

"Oh yeah! It's too bad that I didn't do such a good job!" Molly gave a sheepish grin.

"It was still sweet of you that you were willing to go through all that trouble for me!" Libby kissed Molly on the cheek, causing her to blush with a shy smile.

It was about halfway through the movie when the main characters started developing romantic feelings for each other. Molly and Libby started to get emotional at that part, so they placed a box of tissues on the table as they watched the movie in tears.

Emily desperately wanted to confess her love for Rose, but decided not to, in fear that she would lose her friendship. Seeing this made Molly and Libby think back to when they really wanted to confess their love for each other.

"This scene is so sad!" Molly grabbed a tissue and wiped her eyes. "Emily really wants to confess her feelings towards Rose, but is too scared! I remember when I desperately wanted to confess my love for you, Libby!"

"Me too!" Libby sniffed before she blew her nose. "I'm so happy that I gained the courage to confess my love for you!"

Right at the end of the movie, the two friends gained the courage to ask each other out to the school dance. As the night of the dance came, Rose and Emily began to dance together before they finally confessed their love for each other. After they kissed each other, the credits started to roll as the movie came to an end.

By the time the movie ended, Molly and Libby tearfully hugged each other tightly, both of them satisfied with how to movie ended.

"That was a beautiful movie, wasn't it, Libby?" Molly asked.

"It was, Molly! It was the best romance movie I've ever seen! Well, it was the only romance movie I've seen, but I had fun watching it with you!" Libby smiled.

"I had fun watching it with you too, Libby! Maybe we can watch the movie again someday!"

"I would really like that, Molly!" Libby agreed.

With the movie over, Molly and Libby spent the rest of their night together, both of them excited for the next time they would watch their new favorite movie.
