Alright, Glitch Techs story. I hope this won't be a disaster.

I got this story idea from watching the full YouTube series 'Meta Runner', by GLITCH. Funny, huh?

[I mentioned the series before on one of my other stories, 'Fresher Start'. Check it out if you haven't read it before/yet, and check out Meta Runner on Youtube if you haven't seen it before/yet.]

There'll be references to Meta Runner, the other series on that channel, some things from their other channel 'SMG4', and a couple of video games we know of.

Or at least I hope some of you know of.

Anyway, I hope you guys enjoy!

On a sidewalk in a town called Bailley, we see a sixteen-year-old boy walking down the street, his phone up to his right ear and left hand in his pocket.

He's African-American with glasses, short black hair, and has on an unzipped blue, white, and black jacket with a white hood over a black T-shirt with a Galaga spaceship on it. He has on some jeans, and some light blue laceless shoes with white soles and there's a smartwatch on his right wrist.

On his back was a dark blue backpack.

"(over the phone)Dad, I'm telling you, I'll be fine. This won't be like last time. Okay, you're right, I don't know that, but I be more cautious this time. Mom doesn't live too far from my old place, I'm more equipped, and if anything else happens, I'll handle it. Goodbye."

The boy hung up before his dad could say anything else.

"(to himself) Sheesh, Aaron, you lose your arm to a Possessor glitch, and he suddenly treats you like you're made of glass."

The boy stretched both arms out, and the left one was shown to be a cybernetic one.

It's a crazy story, but to make it short, he lost his right arm fighting a Possessor glitch when he was on a trip to visit his dad for a week.

We can tell you at some point in the future.

Anyway, I'm sure you saw that I mentioned something called a glitch.

Glitches in this world are things that appear when, well, video games start to glitch. They can appear as small creatures that are made from electricity, but when they come in contact with computer data, most get theirs from the video game they came from, they change how they look, what they do, and act similar to the entity they took the form of. The glitches need energy in order to stay like this, but if the energy's depleted enough, it'll go back to its original form, making it easier to capture and contain.

I know you saw Aaron and I mentioned 'Possessor glitch'. It's a type of glitch that can take over a person or animal's body and change their form and corrupt their mind by putting the code of the character they came from into their brains. He dealt with one right before coming back to Bailley. Lost every nerve in his arm in the process and had to make a new one like it.

Well, kinda like his old one.

Okay, now with all that out of the way, let's turn our attention back to Aaron.

After the incident, Aaron got back to Bailley. His dad felt back for what happened, so he tried to make it up to his son by giving himself a place to live on his own. It's across town from his mom's place, who was miffed about what happened to Aaron, and how his dad let this happen. Aaron said it was no big deal and his mom responded saying, and I quote,

'You're just like your dad.'

Man, the two divorced years ago, and they still have arguments like this.

Right now, Aaron's taking the last of his stuff from his mom's place to his new place in the backpack on his back. It's a long walk, but in Aaron's opinion, it's better than the bus. There's fresh air and there's ample space, and no one to bother him when he's playing games.

From his bag, Aaron pulled out a gaming device he made on his own. [imagine a Nintendo Switch with green and yellow instead of red and blue]

What do I mean he made it on his own? Well, when your mom's a grade-A coder, and your dad helps design game consoles for a company, you pick up a thing or two.

Yep, I know. Hard to believe.

Anyway, Aaron was playing on his device while walking down the street, not paying attention to a thing. He's literally walking through traffic right now! He just made it to the other side with no scratches!

As he turned a corner, his game paused by itself. Knowing the cause, he sighed before saying, "What's up, T.A.R.I.?"

On the paused screen, a picture of a girl appeared.

She has blue hair, fair skin, lavender eyes, and had on a jacket like Aaron's over a white shirt, and had a cybernetic left arm, also like Aaron. It was just showing her from head to torso, but she also has on brown khaki pants, white and blue socks, and brown flip flop sandals.

This was Aaron's Turbo Artificial Rapid Intelligence system. But for short, call her T.A.R.I..

"I'M SORRY FOR INTERRUPTING YOUR GAME, AARON, BUT MY SENSORS HAVE DETECTED A GLITCH JUST NORTH OF YOU. IT'S TAKEN THE FORM OF TURNTABLE FROM THE SIDE SCROLLER GAME, 'RHYTHM CITY'."

"That guy who blasted techno music from to stop you from reaching the finish?"

"MHM."

"Man, the game was good, but that guy was annoying."

"HE'S GOING DOWN THE STREET AT AN ALARMING RATE. I'LL SEND YOU LOCATION ON YOUR WATCH. DO YOU THINK YOU CAN RUN OVER THERE AND STOP THE GLITCH BEFORE SOMEONE GETS HURT?"

"*sigh* I fight one glitch and suddenly it's a whole thing now. I'd say no,...if this wasn't something I've been wanting to do for a long time. I'll bite. I doubt I'll lose something else this time."

"*smiles*GOOD LUCK, AARON."

As the conversation ended, Aaron turned off his game and looked around to make sure no one was looking. When he was in the clear, Aaron went into a nearby alley and put his bag next to a few crates.

After he put it down, he pressed a few things on his watch and his look changed a bit.

The ship on his shirt turned ninety degrees to the right and some pixels turned it into a double right arrow, the blue on his shoes glowed and were now a glowing sky blue, light blue glowing line patterns appeared on both arms and back of his hands [imagine like the Ether gear from the anime 'Edens Zero'] with a symbol on the back of the palms [the Meta Runner symbol], and by nanotechnology, his glasses turned into a hi-tech visor colored blue with the symbol on the far right side of it.

Aaron cracked his fingers and crouched down into a running start position. He cracked his neck and smirk before running and dang is he moving fast!

I'd say how fast he's going, but my speedometer broke because I just tried to check, and he's going too fast that it couldn't handle it.

When he made it to where T.A.R.I.'s directions led him, Aaron looked down the street and saw the glitch coming this way.

It looked like a D.J. completely dressed in black, but with neon, multi-colored patterns all over him, and a pair of glowing gloves on his hands. This was Turntable.

In the side scroller game that Aaron and T.A.R.I. were talking about, Turntable was an enemy that was in the background that would use the gloves of his to blast sonar beams of music at the player to damage them and knock them back to the left a bit while using said gloves to use the music to blast himself into the air and forward and back on the course.

Aaron found him annoying because you couldn't fight him at all, there was no hitbox on him, and the only way to defeat him was get to the end of the course. Now that he was real and in person, it was time for some payback.

The villain in question landed by Aaron, and blasted the ground again, boosting him in the air and making waves of the sound wreck some of the road up.

Aaron smiled and ran in at high speed to catch up with him.

Although, discretely with a radar, or map, or navigator of some kind, he was being watched from the head of a organization that deals with technical problems.

Aaron was now gaining on the glitch, and he said, "Hey, music dude! Not to brag, but I'm a music guy myself. Wanna discuss styles?"

Okay, he knows most glitches don't react to talking, but he does this a lot.

"No? Aw man. But I could've told my best music jokes! Wanna here one? It has the best punchline!"

Aaron jumped up high as Turntable came back down, and with the gear on his arms glowing, he gave him a punch so hard that knocked him headfirst into the street!

When Aaron landed, he walked over and said, "That was easier than it needed to be. Though, I guess it makes sense 'cause you've never been punched before."

His gear glowed again as he said, "Now that that's done, let's talk."

Turntable suddenly got out of the ground and blasted a sonar beam at Aaron, blasting him back and into the ground. The glitch then blasted into the air and left.

Aaron got back up and dusted himself saying, "Okay, done talking. Got it."

Aaron pulled something out of his pocket and tossed it on the street before going back after Turntable.

The thing emitted a light before pixels came out of it and undid the damage to the street.

Aaron caught back up to the glitch and right when he was about to jump up and hit it again,

"Whoa!"

he dodged to avoid being hit by a sonar beam that came from Turntable.

"I was waiting for you to do that! Now it's a real challenge!"

Aaron was now running after the glitch, while dodging the beam it shot at him constantly.

Honestly, Aaron found this fun. He started doing his dodges with style by doing some tricks.

He finally caught up with Turntable and as he was about to jump up again, and Aaron's shoes helped him jump up high above him and went back down quick while using his feet to slam him into the ground, again doing some damage to the road.

Before the Glitch could blast him again, Aaron pulled out another gadget and tossed it onto Turntable and it tied him up in some kind of glowing electric net. It was damaging it by the second.

"Y'know, Turntable? You suck at socializing, and you need work on your aim, but those gloves of yours are awesome. Can we talk science?"

The glitch was then sparking and glitching out of control.

"Eesh, maybe later."

Aaron jumped up and slammed his fist into Turntable's face.

The hit made him scatter apart into electrical energy which went into Aaron's gear, shoes, and visor.

The net dissipated and T.A.R.I. said, "THAT MAKES YOUR SECOND CONTAINED GLITCH. GOOD JOB, AARON."

"Thanks, T.A.R.I.. Man, first glitch since I came back and that felt way too easy."

His attention was suddenly turned to a kid with a ball, who saw everything.

Aaron sped to the kid, held a button on the side of his visor and said, "Say 'cheese'."

A blinding light flashed the kid in the eyes from the visor. Aaron then ran off.

The kid's eyes glowed for a few seconds before he blinked, and his eyes were back to normal.

The kid went back to happily playing with his ball like nothing happened.

Yep, it was a memory wipe feature. In work like this, it's called 'resetting'.

Aaron's still in his gear and he's running at high speed to his new place at high speed with his bag on his back.

Maybe because it was in the alleyway for a bit, but it felt a little heavier for some reason.

Yet, he paid it no mind.

Aaron made it to his new place. It was a two story I-type house. His dad must be great as his job if it he has enough cash to pay for a house like this, just for his son.

Aaron made it to the front door but as he reached for the front door to put the key in, he heard noises behind him.

A weird noise, followed by tires screeching, then doors opening.

Cautious, the boy gripped his fists together and was just about ready to punch whoever or whatever made the noise he heard.

"Easy, kid. It's just me."

When he turned to see who it was, Aaron sighed and eased up a bit.

When the man who he was talking to was in front of him, Aaron was the first to speak.

"*holds out hand to shake* Long time no see, Phil."

"*shakes hand* Good to see you, kid."
