Welcome dearest Dravenites to chapter 4! SO far this story is doing pretty well but I'm hoping we reach triple figures by Monday morning EST. Anyway, as much as I'd like to continue with this monologue, we need to get back to the story. So without further ado please enjoy this chapter of A new arrival!
Ally turned on her side, sweat caking her forehead. Ever since she got pregnant, she had been permanently hot. Everywhere in her house felt like an oven. She had tried keeping the AC on 24/7 but all that did was give Austin the flu. As she finally felt herself dozing off, the woman was bombarded by a familiar feeling; morning sickness.
Silently making a b-line for the bathroom so as not to wake her husband up, Ally began to hurl her guts out. This was by far her least favorite part of carrying a child, she was even contemplating not eating just to avoid the horrors of this portion of her pregnancy.
'' Morning sleepyhead'' a familiar voice cooed as the bathroom was bathed in artificial light.
'' I thought you were asleep?'' Ally responded.
'' I was, but I heard you and came to help, guess I was a bit too late.''
'' Just a bit. Go back to sleep, I'll be fine'' Ally said, getting on her legs and popping a mint from a bag she kept in the room.
'' No way. Its my kid too, no way you're doing this alone. I honestly wish I could carry the thing for you to save you the stress.''
Ally's mouth filled with air before she burst out laughing.
'' What's so funny?'' Austin asked.
'' You pregnant, it makes for an amazing visual.''
'' Excuse me for having feelings.''
'' Oh come on, you know I didn't mean it that way'' Ally wrapped her arms around her love.
'' I know Goose pickle. Also, we have a pretty important day later.''
'' Yes we do'' Ally's smile faded.
'' I know this is scary, but I promise you its going to be ok.''
Ally beamed. This was why she loved him, he was so considerate. '' Go back to sleep. I have to do something quickly.''
'' What?''
'' I have to fry some ground beef. The cravings are back.''
'' Can I help? I mean, I'll happily cook it for you while you go watch more Jeopardy!''
'' Please, I can do it.''

Later that morning, the pair found themselves at Wesley Snipes memorial hospital. The same place where the last two incidents occurred.
'' What're you doing?'' Ally looked over at Austin.
'' N-nothing. Why?'' Austin immediately sat on the contraband.
'' You were reading a book. I've never seen you read anything other than comic books and a dessert menu.''
'' Hey! And what I'm reading's sensitive.''
'' Come on let me see''' Ally breathed, reaching under him and pulling out something shocking.
'' My life as a 13 year old mom by Jane Frosch. Austin, are you reading a pregnancy book?'' Ally raised an eyebrow.
'' I wanted to make sure I knew how to take care of you properly. Also…I have three others at home. I keep them in a chest in the yard.''
'' Why didn't you tell me?''
'' Well it wouldn't be a good hiding spot if I told you now would it be?''
'' No. About the books.''
'' Oh. I didn't want you to think I was a wuss.''
'' Aww, baby'' Ally pecked his cheek. '' I love that you're sensitive.''
'' Austin and Ally Moon? Come on in'' an elderly man said from behind a nearby door. The man was Dr. Augustine Eric, Ally's gynecologist. He had been with her through the first two miscarriages and had a slight bias towards the pair, having referred to them as his favorite couple.
'' So, I hear that you've just found out you're with child correct?'' Dr. Eric asked, Ally lying down and lifting up her shirt.
'' Yeah. We're hoping for a different result this time 'round'' Austin admitted.
'' I can imagine. Also Austin, I've heard yours and Ally's latest album. My grandson plays it constantly.''
'' Oh, I he a kid?'' Ally asked.
'' Nope, grown man. Also, I saw a young man and his girlfriend yesterday. He said his name was Gavin Young. He says you know each other. Are you friends?''
'' Gavin'' Austin gritted his teeth. He wasn't someone to hate people, but Gavin was his enemy. He couldn't stand the man at all. He would honestly be perfectly happy if Gavin got lost at sea.
'' Gavin and Austin aren't on good terms'' Ally admitted.
'' Oh no, why is that?''
'' Gavin's my ex boyfriend. Austin can't stand him'' Ally giggled. She found Austin's hatred of Gavin oddly cute, not threatening in any way.
'' Alright Ally, its jelly time, my apologies if its cold'' Dr Eric squirted the gel onto her stomach, the woman shivering slightly in response.
Austin grabbed his wife's hand. Now was coming the most awful part of the ordeal; finding a heartbeat, or a sign of a child in anyway.
'' Alright, well Mr. and Mrs. Moon I have news for you'' Dr. Eric said, a feeling of dread and fear overtaking the pair.
'' Your child has a healthy heartbeat'' the man smiled, Ally bursting into tears as Austin held her, his eyes getting misty as well.
'' Can we get two printouts? Our parents will kill us if they don't get one'' Austin asked, Ally busy wiping the jelly off and pulling her shirt down.
'' Sure thing'' Dr. Eric handed the pair two pieces of warm, freshly xeroxed pieces of paper.
'' You know its weird, I feel like framing this'' Austin smiled.
'' Hehe, no'' Ally deadpanned. '' We are not going to be the people with a framed sonogram on their wall. But we can hang it on the fridge.''
'' I can agree to that. You know what this is right?''
'' What?'' Ally cocked her head.
'' Proof. Proof of our new lives as parents.''

The following day saw Austin enjoying some downtime by playing his favorite game; TF2 with Dez.
'' Hell yeah, another kill for Awesomous!'' Austin shrieked.
'' That was luck and you know it'' Dez said through his mic.
'' Oh yeah, best two out of three-hey!'' Austin whined, seeing that Ally had turned off his laptop. '' What gives, I was having fun?''
'' Good to see you too. So baby, I was thinking we should take some classes.''
'' Seriously? Why? I already passed high school and you got into Harvard.''
'' Not those kinds of classes. Parenting classes. My old science teacher Mr. Raye teaches one down at the community center. And you know what I was thinking?''
'' That you and Trish get TF2 and play with me and Dez?''
'' Come on Austin be realistic. I was thinking we take the class. We need the practice.''
'' Let's do it'' Austin said, standing up.
'' Wait seriously? I thought there'd have to be bribery, begging and the promise of a 3 foot pancake.''
'' First off, don't joke about that lady, I would love a 3 foot pancake. Second, if this is important to you then I'm doing it. You're right, it'd be great practice for us.
'' Great.''
'' So when's the first class?''
'' Two hours. I signed us up yesterday'' Ally sauntered away.
Austin stared at her shocked, how was she always able to one up him?

Later that day, the pair found themselves at the community center, getting ready for the class to begin. Unfortunately for Austin and Ally, their presence on the global music scene meant that they were swarmed by people wanting autographs, selfies and even a few marriage proposals.
'' Alright everybody, my name is Mr. Penn Raye, today we'll be focusing on getting you ready for your new lives as parents. As you can see, there is a doll in front of each of you. Our first lesson will be in 3…2…1'' the man pushed a button on a remote, the room filling with awful smells and crying.
'' Oh dear God that reeks!'' Austin coughed.
'' We shall now learn how to change a dirty diaper. First, you take off the child's diaper, tossing it away as you put them into a fresh unfolded one. There should be one on your tables'' Mr. Raye ordered.
Austin, who was on the verge of losing his lunch, watched as Ally performed the task.
'' Now, gently wrap the diaper around your doll's bottom like a burrito-
'' Done!'' Ally shouted, slamming the doll down.
'' Mrs. Moon, its not a race'' Mr. Raye sighed.
'' Damn right, it wasn't even close'' Austin high fived his wife.
'' Its not too bad, but there's one problem'' Mr. Raye said, inspecting the pair's result.
'' What's that?'' Austin asked.
'' Its too tight. Your child will be bluer than a smurf'' the man laughed, the class joining in.
'' Hey, knock it off!'' Austin snapped. He didn't usually use his salary as a weapon, as it made him seem arrogant, but now was different. '' the next person who laughs gets their car bought by me and watches as I set it on fire for kicks in front of them!''
The crowd went silent, Mr. Raye soon releasing them to go home.
'' Hey constricto, nice job with your doll. You going to call your kid Titan?'' a man said, walking up to Ally.
'' Leave her alone'' Austin glared.
'' Back off blondie this doesn't concern you.''
'' It actually does'' Austin grabbed the man by the shoulder. '' That's my best friend and my wife. Say your sorry and back off.''
'' Or what?'' the man challenged.
'' This'' Austin swung his fist at the man, his body falling to the ground with an audible thud.
'' I have an idea now'' Ally responded.
'' Yeah?''
'' Run!''
Ah Austin, so overprotective. Thanks for reading Dravenites, enjoy your Sunday and be prepared for the sheer hell of Monday.
