The crew of the Thousand Sunny with the newest addition of one Yamato was about the top deck doing various activities all enjoying the lovely day that they so definitely deserved. Luffy of course was laying atop Sunny's figurehead without a care in the world. This crew was now that of a Yonko crew, and they had done a crazy thing! The Captain, Straw Hat Luffy, had fought and defeated the World's Strongest Creature and claimed the title of Emperor of the sea! He's done yet another impossible task and continues on his journey to be the freest man on the sea, he sails for One Piece and to become King of the Pirates!

Now, how might things look if all that was undone? If all their progress was taken away by Chaos?

"Hello Straw Hat Pirates."

Luffy's eyes shot open as he quickly jerked his head around from his seating spot atop Sunny's figurehead. He quickly scanned the deck and saw each of his crew mates looking around curiously. The only ones who were not aimlessly searching for the disembodied voice were Zoro, Sanji, Jimbei, and Yamato. They each looked off to the port side of the ship, slightly up as well. Luffy followed their line of sight and was greeted by a strange floating being.

This being had a strange-looking face, almost like that of a mask. Its head had a sort of rocky texture about it like it was made of stone. It was round and looked two times too big for its relatively small body. Most startling, however, were its eyes. They were a sickening blood-orange color that had sunken into its skull. They had such an intensity to them that it felt as though the creature was looking right through you as if you weren't there at all. This terrifying entity having seemed amused to have garnered this type of reaction from the crew started to laugh in a high pitched manner. It greatly resembled a child's laughter.

Zoro quickly drew his Wado Ichimonji and pointed it at the entity and glared daggers at the monstrosity. Sanji lit his cigarette and lifted his leg to his chest and placed his arms up to his head, stance ready. Whatever this thing was it was radiating evil in waves. Its Haki energy was a foul festering aura. It was sickening. Luffy hopped off of the figurehead and took a stance in front of Zoro and Sanji. He wore a glare and stood at the ready. The entity began hovering downward toward the ship and landed on the railing. After the entire crew stood at the ready for a fight the entity smirked and spoke once again.

"My my my! Such hair-raising hostility! Here I thought the legendary Straw Hat Pirates would be a much nicer bunch, then again, I do suppose my face garners a strong reaction. Heiheiheihei!" The being laughed to itself as its face contorted in a fashion that suggested it was in pain.

"It's not just your face. We've seen plenty of faces that weren't pleasant to look at. It's your Haki. It's foul and decrepit. What the hell are you?" Luffy spoke with a stern tone.

"Well, now that's just plain rude to say to someone! Rude as you are, I will answer your paltry question. I am Chaos incarnate! This is my physical form but I am normally more……ethereal! Ethereal is the right word!"

Chaos chortled out and began hovering around Luffy.

"You see, normally I'm chained up and not allowed to reign free but something has shifted the balance of your world and thus I've been released! I can now do as I please!" Chaos laughed gleefully and finally landed on the grassy deck. The Sunny creaked and shifted on the waves in an unsettling way.

"Hey! Get off the deck! You're making Sunny uncomfortable!" Franky blurted out upon seeing Sunny's reaction.

"Really? Even your ship is touchy about my presence eh? Well too bad. I can do as I please and so I shall. This grass is quite nice."

Chaos began shuffling their feet across the deck as they took in the sensation of the grass.

Franky was none too pleased with this and geared up to throw a strong right at the little puke. Luffy however stopped Franky from doing so by putting his hand up much to Franky's disappointment and Chaos' interest.

"Tell me then, what does any of this have to do with us? Why show up here?"

Luffy spoke in a commanding tone. Very level-headed and calm, unlike his normal attitude.

"OH! That's the fun part! You are the Straw Hat Crew! The bombastic crew that came incredibly busting into the scene! You guys plowed your way through trial after trial and made a name for yourself in record time! It's safe to say that you are quite special. Now you've defeated an Emperor and have claimed the title for yourself and continue your journey onward to the end!" Chaos made exaggerated hand motions as they spoke and upon finishing their recap a nasty grin appeared on their face.

"I'm here to put a stop to all that! I want to sew Chaos on a level hitherto undreamt of! I want to do something that no one yet has quite done, in a sense." Chaos snickered with glee as they shot up into the air and produced a large metal-speaking trumpet and shouted loudly.

"I'm going to sew Chaos in the past!!" They yelled jovially and tossed the metal-speaking trumpet off into the sea and hovered back down to Sunny's railing.

Luffy and the crew all exchanged confused looks and wondered collectively what this had to do with them.

Chaos sighed and draped over the railing and addressed the looks of confusion.

"Alrighty, I can see you have no idea what I'm talking about or why it pertains to you. Let me see if I can shine some light—Chaos blinked and let their eyes begin to shine like headlights —on the situation." It laughed at the pun and continued.

"I'm going to use you and your crew as my catalyst to go crazy with the past. It wouldn't have to be you but imagine how crazy things could be if let's say you end up leaving your island knowing Haki. Or maybe I throw someone onto your island with you that shouldn't be there! Any change could throw the whole thing into a completely different direction and I for one think that's damned entertaining!" Chaos cackled and hovered upward.

Luffy was at his limit with the annoying little bastard. He took a stance and let his Conqueror's spirit blast outward and barrage Chaos relentlessly. Chaos instantly stopped laughing and their face took on a deathly calm expression. Luffy suddenly leaped back but his reaction was too slow. Chaos erupted outward as their body morphed and grew and soon dwarfed half the Sunny. Their already horrid face had twisted themselves into something even more sinister. It looked truly evil now. Chaos had engulfed the rest of the crew before anyone had a chance to fight. They all fought against the strange black tar substance that was Chaos' body. Chaos had Luffy by the throat and slowly pulled him up to meet him eye-to-eye.

"You cocky little shit. Do you think you're big and bad with your Conqueror's Haki? I can see why you'd have that attitude. I'm sure it's served you well. The ability to impose your will upon another person's own will, it's powerful stuff for sure, but it doesn't work on me. I'm a fundamental force of Nature! Nature doesn't bend to any one man's will." Chaos snarled at Luffy and remained silent for a moment. After what felt like an eternity of silence passed, Chaos looked at Luffy once more.

"Contrary to what you might believe, I don't need your permission to do anything. I told you what I did because I wanted to see how you reacted but in hindsight maybe even that was too generous. Let's not waste any more time. I want an interesting show so don't disappoint me Monkey D. Luffy."

With that final piece said Chaos quickly enveloped the rest of the crew and lastly Luffy. The last thing he remembered before blacking out was the echoing reverberation of Chaos' sinister laughing.
