The Ebon Hawk is still flying through hyperspace as Natasha is sitting down in the cockpit staring out through the window lost in her train of thought. She began to think about her life before coming to this part of the Galaxy, she had everything she could have asked for in her home but she sacrificed it all to help them. Tears began to stream down her eyes until she heard a calm voice speak to her.
"Are you alright?"
Natasha turned to see Kratos standing there behind her. She wiped the tears from her face before replying, "Yeah, this ship is pretty old so some dust got stuck in my eye is all."
Kratos then sat next to her looking at her still, he knew she was trying to act tough and cover up what she was thinking and said it by saying, "Your thoughts are of home...your not from this world like us?"
Natasha looked at Kratos with a look of shock, how did he know? She didn't give any signs that said other wise. She asked out of her curiosity, "How did you know?"
"Because I have thought the same as you. What brought you out here?"
"To be honest with you I don't know...I woke up on the planet Tatooine not knowing how I got there. I wandered the desert for hours until I met Revan's spirit. He directed me to the nearest city where I was able to find this ship, T3, and told me to be ready for whenever you came here," answered a truthful Natasha.
Kratos took a moment for Natasha's words to sink in about Revan, he was expecting them to come here but why?
"Do you know why he wanted you to seek us out?" was all Kratos could aska bout that.
Natasha shook her head and answered again truthfully, "No."
Kratos looked out towards the window at the blue colored hyperspace processing all this. I guess he'll get his answers when they arrive to the Dagobah system. However, he wanted to know more about Natasha to help make her feel a bit comfortable so he asks her, "What was your homeland like?"
Natasha couldn't help but smile a bit at the question as thoughts of her home and the memories of it raced through her mind. "Well it was a very complicated time and place for sure, all the fighting, bickering, and politics...but there were times that it would be peaceful and fun. My family was all that ever meant to me and now I won't be able to see them ever."
Natasha began to tear up at this point, she knew what she said was true...she could never return home and with very good reason. Kratos looked at her with pity knowing what it was like to never return home. Sure they can figure out something to return to the Norse woods but for Kratos he could never return to Sparta due to the chaos he caused on his path of vengeance.
Suddenly, the controls began to beep as the ship began coming out of hyperspace to the gaze of a swampy like planet. Natasha wiped the tears from her eyes before saying, "Well here it is...the Dagobah system. If your jedi is here then it'll be a bit difficult to find him. I'll try to find some stretch of land that we can safely land so I suggest you get prepared, who knows what's down there for you guys."
Kratos nods his head in agreement and raises up from the co-pilot seat. He begins to walk off until he stops in his tracks before turning to look at Natasha saying, "Stay strong Natasha for you are not the only one that cannot return home."
Natasha nods her head acknowledging what Kratos said as he walks off to see Atreus messing around with T3 with Mimir, who was placed on the holo game table, looking on.
"We have arrived to the Dagobah system, we do not know what awaits us so be ready," said Kratos to Atreus.
"Yes father," acknowledged Atreus.
"Well then let's hope that this is more peaceful than the last encounter we had," commented Mimir.
The Ebon Hawk lands in a remote but very swampy area as Kratos, with Mimir dangling off the back of his belt, and Atreus exiting the ship looking around at their surrounding, this place was very foggy with lots of swamps and dead looking trees.
"What a charming place, said Mimir sarcastically.
"Hopefully we can find this Master Yoda here," commented atreus.
They began walking through the swampy woodland not knowing what they will find or expect. These swampy lands were a far cry from the lands they were use to, and then there was the smell that would fill their nostrils with a vile putrid smell.
Kratos then fell in a swampy sinkhole but was able to pull himself up and removed Mimir from his belt as Mimir began spitting out swampy water and coughing.
"You okay Mimir?" asked a concerned Atreus.
"Fucking dandy lad! How in fuck do we find someone in this horrible place!?" exclaimed a pissed off Mimir.
"Maybe Yoda isn't here after all...maybe Revan made a mistake," commented Atreus.
"No...he brought here for a reason even if it's not to meet this Yoda. I do admit though I feel like..."
It was at this moment that Kratos was reaching behind him to grab his axe as a voice called out to him, "Feel like what?"
Kratos turned raising his axe up ready to defend himself. What he sees is an old small green creature with white hair and pointed ears wielding a walking stick cowering on top of a tree.
"Like were being watched," finished Kratos.
"Away with your weapon...I mean you no harm. I' am wondering...why you are here," said the small creature that turned out to speak backwards.
Kratos and Atreus looked at each other, they didn't know whether to answer this creature or not but he may know something they don't.
"Were looking for someone...a jedi master apparently," answered Atreus.
"Ah jedi master hmmm," said the strange green creature.
"Yes yes some fucker by the name of Yoda, we got sent here to look for him," said an impatient Mimir.
The creature looks at Mimir with amazement and comments, "Mmmmm strange and fascinating you are headless one."
"Please can you tell us if you've seen him?" asked Atreus.
"Ah you seek Yoda, jedi master he is yes," answered the creature.
"Can you take us to him?" asked Kratos.
"Sent you who did ask may I?" asked the creature.
"Revan did," answered Kratos.
the creature then stopped in his tracks and closed his eyes. He let out a low grunt before looking at them and this time with a more wise type of voice, "found him you did, for Yoda is I Ghost of Sparta."
The three look on in shock more specifically Kratos for calling him by that name.
"You know who I am?" asked Kratos
"Yes, many battles carry you do. A God of War...A God of Peace yes. Expecting you I been," answered Yoda.
"For what purpose, what does Revan wish from me?" asked Kratos.
"Tell you I cannot, show you I will...come come a journey we have," answered Yoda as he began leading them down a path.
Kratos and Atreus look at each other, strap Mimir to the backend of Kratos's belt and follow the jedi master to whatever will give them the answers they seek.
After walking for sometime they arrive what seems to be a cave, there Yoda sits on top of a rock. Kratos, Mimir, and Atreus can feel the power from the cave, it was cold and dark just like Vader almost.
"Bloody hell...this cave is more evil than the ones back home," commented Mimir.
"the dark side what you feel it is. powerful it flows throughout the cave. Seek the answers you will inside the cave but only you Kratos," said Yoda to the group.
Kratos looked at Yoda nodding in understanding. He removes Mimir from his belt and hands him to Atreus.
"What will I expect in there?" asked Kratos.
Yoda closed his eyes and frowned upon the question...it was then that he opened and looked up at Kratos and only answered with one word, "Fear."
"Be careful father," said Atreus worried for his father's safety.
Kratos looked at the cave entrance and proceeded to enter it, inside Kratos could see an area with rocks and roots of trees. Suddenly he heard a familiar voice call out to him, "Father!"
Kratos turned to the direction of the voice and couldn't believe his eyes...it was his daughter Calliope.
"Calliope?" asked Kratos.
"Why father? Why did you leave me behind!?" exclaimed an angry Calliope.
"I had no choice my child...I had to stop Atlas," answered Kratos trying to calm his daughter down.
"You were selfish...you abandoned me and for what to end up on a petty quest for vengeance. You never loved me or mother and you will never will!"
Calliope then disappeared before Kratos's eyes and before he knew it a whole whirlwind of images and memories began to trigger. All the deeds he had done as Ares servant, then his quest for vengeance on Ares and then the Gods. Every gore, every murder, all committed by Kratos. Even memories of his life now with the Norse began to surface like when he killed Baldur and such. Kratos clutched his head hearing all those voices began to overwhelm him until one such voice saved him.
"Do not give into your fear my love...for that is what the cave is testing you."
"Faye," was all Kratos could say. Kratos then eased his mind, reminding himself that yes he had done all those things but what he has done now changed all that. The images and voices began to go away and a new presence was felt with a voice saying to him, "Well done Kratos."
Kratos turned to see Revan before him and said, "Why am I here Revan, why seek me out?"
"I have seen many things during my time Kratos...some of which the Galaxy is not ready for. A new threat is coming and with the Galaxy at war there is no one prepared for them. That is why I need you Kratos," answered Revan.
"Why me?"
"Because you are like me Kratos...you have walked down both paths of good and evil to the point that it doesn't matter who you are. Savior. Conqueror. God of War. God of Peace. You are these things and more...you have a gift Kratos you always had," answered Revan.
Everything that Revan told him began to sink in...he is expecting him to become something more for his world now like he was. With that realization he asks him, "You think I wield this force?"
"I don't think it...I know it. the force has always been your ally Kratos...you just didn't know. Not by power mind you, but in spirit your whole journey up to this point was aided by the Force. It needs you Kratos now more than ever. This new threat that is to come...it will destroy all life to not just this world but others as well."
"What am I to do?"
"You must my path now Kratos...learn the ways of the force, build an army, become something more. You must first stop the Empire for they are what is the beginning of this new threat. This is all I ask of you Kratos, what do you say?"
Kratos began to really think about what all was said to him. Revan wanted Kratos to come to his world so he can stop whatever is coming to destroy not just their world but everyone's including his. Kratos then didn't hesitate as he bowed before Revan and said to him, "I will learn the ways of the force and walk your path Revan. I will stop this threat that seeks to destroy everything we know."
Revan returned the favor by bowing to Kratos replying, "Thank you my friend. I have a gift for you inside this rock, I left them here long ago and now their yours now."
Kratos approached the rock and opened it to see two lightsabers inside. Kratos picked them up as they activated with one being purple and the other being blue, these lightsabers were running with power as they once belonged to Revan himself. Kratos looked at Revan and nodded to him before deactivating the lightsabers and strapping them to his belt.
"You will find a master to teach you Kratos on the planet Nar Shadaa, there you will also find your friends," said Revan.
"My friends?" asked Kratos.
"Yes, Freya and Angrboda are there as well. Before you leave we have much to plan and talk about...specifically Vader," answered Revan.
After a few hours, Kratos exits the cave to see Atreus, holding Mimir, and Yoda waiting as Atreus asks him, "Did you find out anything?"
"Yes, we much to do," answered Kratos.
Kratos looked at Yoda and bowed to him in gratitude, "thank you Master Yoda."
Yoda chuckled at the gesture before responding, "Much to learn you will but forsee I do a powerful jedi you will become."
Atreus and Mimir looked on shocked as Mimir yells out, "A jedi! Your gonna be like Vader!?"
"Later, will you not join us master?" asked Kratos.
"No, you have destiny yes but here I must remain for another will come here to learn the ways of the force," answered Yoda.
"I understand Master...farewell," said Kratos.
Before they began their journey back they heard a crumbling sound and turned to see a giant rock moving out of the way. They turn back around to see Yoda with a finger poking out before lowering it down...he used the force to move the rock.
"Safer path to your ship it is, the Ebon Hawk yes. Jedi ship it once was, use it wisely."
Kratos nodded and began walking with Atreus down the path as they began to talk about all that transpired in the cave.
Back in the ship, Natasha is cleaning up T3 some as it started beeping at her and she replied, "Yeah me too, I hope their okay."
She then heard people boarding the ship and turned to see Kratos, holding Mimir, and Atreus as she says to them, "Glad to see you guys back, did you find out anything."
"Yes, I will explain everything but for now we must to Nar Shadaa, our friends are held captive there and we must rescue them," answered Kratos.
"Of course, I'll prerp the engines and we'll head out immediately," said Natasha.
The Ebon Hawk's engines activate as the ship begins to take off and fly out of Dagobah's atmosphere. Yoda is watching as the ship flies off and says, "May the force be with you Kratos."
Revan's ghost appears besides Yoda as he says, "He knows everything now...it's up to him now to determine the fate of the Galaxy as will Skywalker when the time is right."
"Yes, but if all fails...there is another."
