"Hey!" A voice. It sounded familiar, but had an odd intation to it that Toshinori couldn't quite put his finger on.
"Guh...wha-?" Toshinori could feel a smaller hand patting the side of his face.
"Hey, hey, All Might! You're finally awake!"
Toshinori suddenly became much more alert. It only took a matter of seconds for him to realise he was tied up.
"I was wondering when you'd wake up!" The voice chucked, "I was starting to think I'd accidentally OD-ed you!"
As his hazy vision began to clear, the thick of the situation started to form a sickening weight in Toshinori's chest. The first thing to catch his attention was a pair of bright green eyes locked onto his own.
Wait a minute. He knew these eyes - the kid from the roof!
"It wasn't easy getting you here. You're heavier than I thought you'd be, but at least this true form of yours isn't recognisable to to public, which is a plus for me in this case."
Toshinori's heart dropped, as did his gaze, and he saw his frail true form rather than his muscular hero body.
"Oh no." Toshinori was panicking internally, but thankfully was able to keep a straight face. This was fine, he could just use his-
Hold up. The usual tingle of OFA wasn't present.
"What did you do to my quirk?" Toshinori asked coldly, though there was still a lingering grogginess clouding his head.
"Don't worry, it's temporary. It's a gas with quirk-nullifying properties. And also it causes drowsiness, so you probably feel a bit sleepy." The boy gestured to the blue mist swirling at their feet. Toshinori glared.
"Aww, don't be like that, All Might. I'm Midoriya Izuku, by the way, but you can just call me Izuku. Only my closest friends can call me that."
"You drugged me and then kidnapped me. We are not friends." Toshinori noted that the kid - Midoriya - was no longer wearing his school uniform; instead he was dressed in a white shirt with the word 'T-Shirt' in Kanji across the chest and black shorts, with an All Might hoodie that topped it off. He still wore the same red trainers as before.
"Oh? We're not?" Midoriya looked up innocently with a wide smile, "Really? Because that skinny form of yours feels like a huge secret, and from what I can tell, secrets are shared between friends, not strangers."
"That's different-"
"Different how?"
"I didn't tell you. You finding out was an unlucky accident."
"And yet you felt the need to show me your scarring. That seems a little too intimate for someone you claim to be a stranger to you."
"I wasn't being intimate with you."
"Awww, shame. It felt pretty intimate, or do you just show your bare skinny abs to anyone?" Midoriya mused aloud, wrapping his arms around Toshinori's waist from behind and started to gently poke his hip bones.
"I was only showing the scar and you know it." Toshinori then clenched his jaw to keep from any sound leaving his mouth.
"Why? What was I gonna do? Accuse you of lying?" Midoriya mused aloud.
"Why are you touching me? Does this have something to do with your quirk?"
"My quirk? Oh, I wish. I'm quirkless, All Might. That's why this gas isn't bothering me." Midoriya answered the unspoken question in Toshinori's head; Midoriya seemed awfully energetic for someone standing in a substance that caused heavy drowsiness.
"I hope that doesn't bother you at all, does it?" Midoriya's head did seem to lower in shame, but the movement was so fast that Toshinori was convinced his mind was playing tricks on him. "No, I'm just memorising you. You don't meet the number one hero every day."
"That isn't reassuring in the slightest." Toshinori replied in monotone. The green-haired teen then began moving his hands slowly under Toshinori's shirt and up his torso, fingers carefully caressing each defined abdominal muscle, every healed scar.
"Get your hands off of me!"
Midoriya ignored him. He drummed softly against Toshinori's ribs with his fingertips like a curious four year-old. Midoriya shifted his weight forward, hooking his leg over All Might's thighs.
"I'm one of the few people in the world that's seen All Might's abs without the hero suit hiding anything..." Midoriya mumbled into Toshinori's shoulder blade, more to himself rather than the restrained hero. "That's so incredible. I'm so lucky."
Toshinori felt Midoriya's shoulders shake with a small giggle. "Kacchan would be so jealous."
"You've mentioned this 'Kacchan' person twice already. Who are they?"
"Kacchan's an old childhood friend. Our friendship kinda lost its footing after his quirk kicked in though. Now he's an asshole with an ego the size of a planet." Midoriya scoffed as he jumped down from Toshinori's lap. "I suppose he's fairly impressive, in his own way, but he'll never be close to reaching you."
"How did you even manage to kidnap me? And why? For the money? Are you working with someone else?"
"No hidden accomplices if you're worried about that. I would never share an experience like this with anyone. I mean, successfully kidnapping the number one hero? If it were anyone else but me, they'd likely brag and instantly have every hero, dective and police worker trying to take them down. Not that I would ever do that but could you imagine the headlines? 'All Might: Number One - Taken Down By A Quirkless Child'. The nation - no, the world - would riot."
"I would never hear the end of it." Toshinori admitted begrudgingly before he could stop himself.
"Which is why I have no intention of keeping you."
Toshinori swore his mind had made that up. "What?"
"I'm letting you go. Can't have the Number One Hero go missing now, can we?" Midoriya winked.
"I don't understand."
"Understand what?"
"Why go through the trouble of kidnapping me only to let me go? You could use me as leverage for anything you want. Why throw that opportunity all away?"
"Whoever said I was throwing my opportunities away?" Midoriya smiled, untying the rope from around Toshinori's chest, wrists, ankles and finally his thighs. "From your expression alone I know I've made a lasting impression on you. Besides, I've got what I need."
While Toshinori was no longer restrained, he remained still, waiting for Midoriya's next potential move.
"What exactly did you need?" Toshinori asked slowly.
"Knowledge. Measurements. I didn't take any blood or DNA samples of any kind, I swear. Your Hero Licence is so cool though!"
"Like I believe that." Toshinori didn't want to put it past him that Midoriya would steal his Hero License, perhaps to sell for profit.
"Check for yourself. No needle marks. Honestly, the only new thing I learnt about you after I brought you here was how tall you are in this 'true form' of yours, which was 6"5 if you're curious."
"I wasn't." Toshinori deadpanned. The blond man instinctively put his hands in his pockets only to feel that his personal items were still on him.
"Well, now you know anyway!" Midoriya said cheerfully to Toshinori, who didn't move.
"Why aren't you leaving?"
"How do I know this isn't a trick?"
"You don't. I'll leave the door open for you. It's been a pleasure to meet you, Toshinori Yagi." Midoriya gave a two fingered salute as he left and, true to his word, the door remained open, ready for Toshinori to take his leave.
