Nobody's POV:
"Mr. Lupin. Professor Dumbledore would like to speak with you urgently. Your friends may go as well, if you would like," Professor McGonagall says quietly to Remus in Transfiguration. The Marauders exchange confused glances before nodding and making their way to Professor Dumbledore's office.
"What do you think Dumbledore wants you for, Moony?" James asks as they walk.
"I don't know. We're here, though, so let's find out," Remus replies. They enter Dumbledore's office after speaking the password to the gargoyles and close the door behind them.
"Hello, Mr. Lupin. I see you brought your friends. Well, take a seat, I have something very important with you that involves your monthly...problem," Professor Dumbledore begins with a gesture to the seats in front of his desk. "As you know, Remus, you are a werewolf. But, do you know how you became a werewolf?"
"Um. Yeah, a werewolf attacked and turned me when I was little. A werewolf pack took me and I currently live with them. Why?" Remus replies reluctantly.
"That's where you're wrong. Unfortunately, the pack you are currently living with has been forced to go into hiding and moved places. Because of this, they revealed important information about your heritage to me. The information they told you is false. You were not attacked and turned by a werewolf. You're birth parents were werewolves. We are currently searching for your birth parents and until we find them, you will be living with the Potters and Mr. Black during the holidays and summer break. Enjoy the last few weeks of the year. You may go now," Dumbledore explains. The Marauders get up and leave.
Fast forward to the second week of summer break.
An owl arrives with mail at the Potters' house. Euphemia Potter sifts through the mail and sets it into piles organized by the person it is to be received by. She calls out, "Boys! Mail's here!" Remus, Sirius, and James come rushing into the kitchen. "Slow down! There are letters for each of you." The boys open each letter and a few moments later, Remus gasps. Everyone stops what they're doing to look at him.
"What is it, Moony?" James and Sirius ask the question on everyone's mind.
"It's a letter from Professor Dumbledore, about my parents. It says,
Dear Remus Lupin,
I'll get straight to the point as I know you've been waiting for a while for news of your parents. We found your mother and she's here now. However, when we asked about your father, your mother broke into tears and refused to speak of him. Whatever happened to him is too traumatic for your mother to talk about. If you would like you can either come to Hogwarts to meet her or we can bring her to the Potters for you to meet her there. I will await your response.
Sincerely, Professor Albus Dumbledore, Headmaster of Hogwarts, School of Wizarding and Witchcraft," Remus reads the letter out loud before quickly grabbing a nearby quill, some ink, and a piece of parchment. He writes a responding letter before giving it to the owl.
