Omori thought back to when Mari revived his friends. The feeling he felt when he saw them, perfectly fine. It was…kind of like when Aubrey cheered him on but…nicer…? But it also felt like when he read his poetry! It was a nice feeling, but he hoped he didn't have to feel it again if it meant his friends were in danger. Omori didn't understand it, but he brushed it aside. It was weird though…
As they approached the house, they saw a Space Pirate!
"Halt! You are approaching the home of the Captain of the Space Pirates, Captain Spa-I mean Spaceboyfriend…" the pirate says before looking away.
"Ugh. Ever since he met that Sweetheart, we haven't done anything! No pillaging, no plundering, nothing!" The pirate vents as the kids just watch.
"Aw. I'm sorry to hear that." Aubrey says.
"Thanks kid. You can go inside if you want." He said sadly. The kids go inside and see a large set of stairs, lots of boxes, and some more Space Pirates. The kids climbed the stairs. They saw a keyboard, a bed, someone in the bed, a casset player, and some Pokémon. A Minior, Clefairy, Lunatone, Solrock, Poipople, and a Kartana were there. The Kartana noticed the kids and approached them.
"Traehteews hctiw taht fo esuaceb si ti. Sihs ekli Niatpac dna reniart ruo ees ot evah uoy yrros m'i. Emoclew, nerdlihc, ereht olleh." It said. Of course, the kids didn't understand the small Pokémon.
"Wow, what is that?!" Kel asked.
"It's an ultrabeast. A Pokémon from a far away planet. I think it's called Kartana." Hero explained. Kartana nodded. One of the Space Pirates came up behind the kids.
"Oh Spaceboyfriend. You down in the dumps?" He said to basically no one.
"'Spmud eht ni nwod' si eh taht eciton WON tsuj, mih depmud, ti sraew dna traeh sih tuo deppir hcnew taht!? Loof uoy, deciton ton uoy evah woh?!" Kartana said, but no one could understand it.
"Don't worry, I know what will cheer you up. Your special mixtape!" The Pirate said. Kartana was not happy.
"Epatxim taht fo dir tog I dna nomékop wollef ym Suecra knaht. Reh fo mih dnimer ot hsiw uoy od yhw?! Ohariv taht depacse yllanif sah eh! Elicebmi!" It said.
"Kartana gets it! The Pirate said. Kartana was not amused. The Pirate went to play the mixtape, he noticed it wasn't there. He frantically went looking for it, before giving up.
"No…without that mixtape, Spaceboyfriend will never snap out of it! The entire coalition of Space Pirates, gone…" he lamented.
"Thgirla eb lliw ti. Loof esned a era ylurt uoy." Kartana said.
Then Kel began to leave before Aubrey grabbed him.
"Where are you going?!" She demanded.
"Well, Basil isn't here so…" he said.
"But we have to help them! That mixtape is important to Spaceboyfriend!" Aubrey said.
"NERDLIHC ESEHT DEKCIRT UOY?! TAHW?!" Kartana yelled.
"Don't you DARE bring Hector into this!" Kel said.
"Guys, Aubrey is right. We can't let the Space Pirates end!" Hero said.
"Yprah taht fo Niatpac eht sdnimer gnihton sa gnol sa! Enif eb lliw Setarip Ecaps eht." Kartana said. Hero turned to Kartana.
"Don't worry Kartana, we'll get the mixtape!" Hero said.
"Tahw." Kartana said.
"You will? Oh thank goodness!" The pirate said, and he opened a weird door.
"This will lead you to the junkyard, good luck!"
As the kids went through the door, Kartana yelled, "OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOON!" Kartana turned to the Pirate and lunged before Poipole grabbed it and Clefairy used Psychic to hold it still.
"Noissim rieht ni liaf yeht epoh I tub, truh teg ton od yeht epoh I. Nerdlihc roop esoht. Peels uoy elihw seceip elbazingocernu ot uoy ecils lliw I!" Kartana said.
Through the glowing door, was a mystical looking path, and stars all around. Walking on the path, there were planets, but there was a hole. Two Space Pirates stood there
"Oh no! He escaped again! Captain Spaceb- I mean Spaceboyfriend is gonna be mad when he finds out!" The first one said.
"If he ever gets up!" The second one sighed.
"You know, when I signed up for this, we were pillaging and pirating everything from castles to DVDs. But now? Maybe it's time to call it quits…"
The first one put his hands on the seconds shoulders.
"Hey! Don't lose hope! Everything will be fine! Spaceboyfriend is gonna get up, and we go back to actual piracy! Now let's go find that rogue planet!" The first one said. The second thanked him and they left. The group continued down the path until they reached the exit…finding themselves in the junkyard!
With cars and purple walls, the trainers ventured forward.
Kel began to look through the trash.
"Guys look! I found a can!" Kel said, smiling. Hero and Aubrey just kind of smiled awkwardly. Omori gave a thumbs up. Cans are cool. Kel smiles brighter. It made Omori feel…good. Seeing his friend happy. They continued, fighting every enemy in their way. Then, they reached a path blocked by huge blocks.
"Leave this to me!" Aubrey said. She took out her bat and smacked it, whilst Bun Bin used Water Gun. The block was destroyed. Omori felt a new feeling. Ralts smiled. Then they reached some Converyor bots. Hero turned on the charm, but Omori just kept thinking about Aubrey. They rode the conveyer belt until…
Something burst through a wall.
"Hey kids! I'm the Life Jam Guy! Life Jam! It Really Works! Now with Revives! Would you like a sample?" It said. Omori nodded.
Life Jam Guy sent out Weezing! Omori looked at the Weezing with its top hat and mustache. They can handle a Wee-
Life Jam Guy sent out Regigigas!
Oh no.
Omori sent out Ralts!
Aubrey sent out Bun Bun!
Kel sent out Spinda!
Hero sent out Dolliv!
Regigigas used Earthquake!
Ralts fainted!
Bun Bun fainted!
Spinda fainted!
Dolliv fainted!
As the trainers returned there Pokémon, the Life Jam Guy loomed above them. Life Jam Guy turned everyone to toast!
But Omori did not succumb. He felt panicked. No one else could send out their Pokémon! He gathered the toast and Ralts.
"NO NO NO NO PLEASE NO!" He thought. The Life Jam Guy approached him. Omori closed his eyes, prepared to die. How powerful was this guy?! He had Regigigas! But to Omori's surprise, the Life Jam Guy handed him four containers of Jam.
"Use the Life Jam on your friends!" He said. Omori spread the Jam on the toast with The bow. It turned back into Aubrey! She was kind of hurt but still!
"I'm alive!" She cheered. Omori spread the Life Jam on The other two pieces, and fed some to Ralts.
Life Jam Guy looked happy, and returned his Pokémon.
"What did I tell you? It really works!" He said. He gave Omori a Jar of Life Jam. The kids quickly ran away.
Eventually, they reached a tunnel. It had junk and some photos. Outside the tunnel was Mari!
Her Pokémon were playing in the trash, except Mewo, who was resting on Mari's lap.
"Hey guys! I just found some cooked Cumbuskin on the ground!" She said. Omori and friends ate and felt like new.
"Ew. This place smells horrible!" Aubrey complained.
"Aw, cheer up Aubrey! Where's your sense of adventure!?" Mari said.
"Yeah! Look at all the cool stuff you can find!" Kel said.
"It is a good chance to train our Pokémon…but that THING…" Herk shuddered remembering the Life Jam Guy.
"Remember, you gotta find that Special Mixtape! For Spaceboyfriend's sake…" Mari said. And so the kids set off.
Kel threw a ball at a car, causing it to fall and destroy what was blocking the path.
In the next area were lots of tunnels, each ending up on a mountain of trash. The kids reached the top. Everyone watched the moon together. The Pokémon gathered around.
"The Moon looks gigantic from here! This is the most beautiful place I've ever seen!" Kel said, sitting on the back of the couch instead of a seat.
"But there's so much litter around... How can you say it's beautiful?" Aubrey retorted.
"Aubrey, Aubrey... Don't be such a wet blanket. Look at things on the bright side! You know what I always say... You just gotta wake up and smell the roses!" Kel said.
"You don't always say that!" Aubrey yelled.
Omori thought to himself. It was beautiful. And being here with his friends and Pokémon made him feel…something. It was a nice feeling. Omori felt happy.
Aubrey leaned against him. He felt ecstatic but nervous! What was this feeling?! He turned to Ralts, only to see the little shipper laughing. Omori still felt happy.
