Chapter 2: Girl Time

Chalice is seen walking through the streets. She blushes crazy when Cuphead puts his life on the line for her. She begins to remember the episode "The Devil & Ms. Chalice."

She then said, "Oh my…They've grown since that event last month. Yet, I begin to find his antics annoying and alluring since that Casino Rocket Racket. Hahaha! We were lucky to get out with our souls un-gambled, and how lucky they had fireworks in the basement."

But then a voice is heard before her saying, "Oh, my. Chalice, it's nice to see you again."

Chalice then spots her girl circle: Angel, Cora, Ginger, and Shelly, sitting at a café table.

"My gal pals! My Girlfriends in Charm, Tough, and Wit," Chalice continued, sitting in an open seat. "Angel the Angelfish."

"I may be called Angel and is an Angelfish, but don't think I am an angel," said Angel, crossing her feet and smirking.

"Captain Cora."

"Mix and match landlubbers! That's what I say!" said Cora, showing her sword while shining it.

"Ginger the Gingerbread Girl."

Then Ginger grinned, "The boys of Inkwell Isles can't catch this sweet delight."

"And Shelly the Peanut."

"I like to see anyone try to beat this hard-shell girl in the arcade," said Shelly, putting her feet on the table and leaning on her chair with her arms behind her head.

"Girls, I need some advice. It's about my crush," said Chalice, blushing.

All her gal friends squealed in joy and said, "Tell us everything!"

"The last time we met was when you talked about your crush. Could it be one of those boys we saw last time," said Angel.

"The blue mug is mine," said Cora.

"So, it's the red one with big eyes. He looks like a comedian with a trouble-making streak, a goofball persona, and a devilish nature. But his aura is so alluring. He looks so handsome, sweet, and affectionate. He's Chalice's type," said Ginger.

Chalice blushed even more before Shelly added, "Having boy trouble with him?"

She answered, "I wouldn't say that. I think my feelings for him grew even more. He risked his soul to save me from the Devil. I call him a goat man so they won't know my connections to him in the past. But sometimes gets on my nerves. This one time, he almost gambled our Souls at the Devil's Casino, but we escaped our souls not in debt with rocket dynamites. If we did, we might find other debtors for our Souls to stay safe from the Devil."

When she looked at the girls, they stared at her with smirks and sly eyes, saying, "You love him with your heart and soul, plus they're genuinely pure."

"Oh, good. I thought I was a luster."

"Uh, no, Chalice. You would be a gold digger if you were after any man," said Angel.

"Oh, yeah. That makes perfect sense."

"Do you want to be in a relationship with him now?" Cora asks.

"Yes, but I'm not sure if he's ready to know how much I feel for him. Also, I don't want to make Mugman the third wheel even if we start dating."

"Wow. You're more mature than we thought," Ginger commented.

"I think you should look for signs that he might like you. How is he treating you currently?" Shelly asks.

"Like a very dear best friend, always protecting me and so kind and helpful," Chalice blushed.

"He might like you back!" her gal pals squealed.

But as they squealed, people were seen running past them in excitement. The girls or they should be known as C.H.A.R.M. (Charm Hearted And Radiant Maidens), stopped what they were doing and took notice.

"What's all of the commotions?" Chalice questions.

"Let's find out, C.H.A.R.M," said Angel, getting the ladies to follow the crowd.

They track the crowd to what appears to be a movie set and prevent it from entering it by velvet rope and muscular Bee guards in tuxes and shades.

"My hearty girlfriends, they must be filming a movie here," said Cora.

"EEE! We might run into movie stars here. I always wanted to go to Broadway and be an actress," Ginger fantasized.

"Don't let their talents get in the way of reality, girls. Not all actors and actresses are what they appear in. They can be insulting and uptight," said Shelly.

"Hello, Inkwell Isles," said a voice in the set.

Coming with backstage lights, camera flashes, and cheers from the crowd, two figures came towards the velvet rope as they waved at the people. They turned out to be the two characters from my story, Cuphead True Love or Not, the two famous movie star cousins; Thea Camellia Rebelwish and Caffina Lungo Gardener. Thea has a red teacup for a head, a small pink nose, long brown curly hair with a big curly bun bang on the front, big red eyes, big eyelashes, and wears pink eyeshadow and red lipstick. She wears a big red bow on the right side of her head, a short pink dress, and yellow high heels. And Caffina has a blue coffee cup for a head, a medium purple nose, short black straight hair with three straight bangs on the front, big blue eyes, big eyelashes, wears purple eyeshadow and blue lipstick. She wears a big blue bow on the left side of her head, a short purple dress, and yellow high heels.

C.H.A.R.M. then fantasized from the sight of them and said, "Thea Rebelwish and Caffina Gardener, the Movie Star Cousins?!"

"Inkwell Isles, we are honored to do our latest movie, Cups In Black, right here, but we need your help. Stars can't do their movies without their doubles, and some of our doubles are sick in bed," said Thea.

"With all of you here, we might select seven of you to join our movie," said Caffina, pointing towards C.H.A.R.M.'s direction.

"She's pointing at us! She's pointing at us! She's pointing at us!" C.H.A.R.M fangirling.

"And don't worry, everyone has enough time to try out. But those with strong hearts and determination will be doubles," said Thea.

"Say, I know a couple of ding-dongs who might like this. I'll be right back, girls. My future husband and brother-in-law need to hear this," said Chalice, tap dance away.

But she was spotted by Thea and Caffina, who looked interested that they went over to Chalice's girl group and said, "Say, you four look like the kind of doubles we've been looking for."

"Eeeeh?! Really?!" Angel said in excitement.

"Sure thing. You got the Charm and Wit down. Too bad, there are four of you," said Thea.

"No, wait! Our acquaint is getting her two best friends to join us, and then we'll have seven," said Ginger.

"That wouldn't be Cuphead, Mugman, and Chalice who had a dance-off and rock, paper, and scissors challenged with the Devil, right?"

Surprised by this, Cora said, "Yes, that's them. How did you know?"

"It was all over the newspaper," said Caffina, showing the paper.

"Oh, right. I didn't think you stars would read papers."

"We want to meet three. They piqued our interest. They look movie star material, including you four."

"You two made the best decision of wanting to pick us," said Shelly.

"Oh, we know. Follow us to your rental trailer," said the two actresses, leading the four into the movie set.

The four looked giddy while Thea and Caffina smiled bigly.
