Izuku was exhausted, his arms and legs ached for salvation from the pain they were in, his lungs were still burning after all of thee hours of rest, who knew that a starved boy running for hours on end would have a bad effect on him. Ha. go on, laugh, Its funny. He groaned at his own sarcasm, rolling over in his semi awake state, letting himself feel the warm covers that littered-. Wait. Warm blankets? A soft bed? He sat up straight in the bed, looking around the room in a panic.
His eyes traced the bare walls and the soft carpet, finding a sleeping boy, his age he presumed, sitting in the corner. The boy had purple hair and bigger eyebags than he did, so he decided to freak out later and let him sleep, hopefully he was a deep sleeper and he could slip out before he had the chance to wake up, thankfully for him, the window to his right was unlocked and open, the only thing he had to worry about was the screen in the window, that could stop him from going through it.
Fate seemed to not be on his side that day as he stepped out of the bed, his legs to that as their cue to let out, causing him to fall face first into the ground with a loud thud. "Wah? What's going on?" damn it, he had awoken his captor, his eyes darted over to the lilac colored teen, watching as his eyes fluttered open, revealing yet another shade of purple in his eyes, he could see surprise cover his face, and then immediately wash away into a calmer facade, he could see right through it, nonetheless, he tried to get up once more.
The boy got up from his seated position, walking over to him, he flinched, pulling himself away from the boy as he realized that his legs were caught in the bed sheets that he had been previously covered in. The tangled sheets made it so that he could not move in the slightest, not away from the boy. "Hey hey, no need for that, I'm not going to hurt you, I swear". Like a deer caught in headlights his eyes darted up from his position on the floor, distrust made itself apparent in his eyes, the other boy could see it bright as day.
-Shinsou pov-
"Hey, hey, i promise you, I am not here to hurt you, I saw you on the sidewalk and decided to take you home so that you could get some proper rest, I doubt the sidewalk was comfortable"
Hitoshi resisted telling him that he did in fact know what that felt like, having passed out on the sidewalk many a time. He made sure to keep his distance, to let the boy in front of him adjust to his new surroundings and to get him a bit more leeway with talking
"No one is going to hurt you here, my parents are asleep, so you need to stay quiet, if they hear you, then it's back to the streets, and right now, you look like you need all the rest you could get and then some." he slowly stepped away from him, backing to the edge of the room, next to his small stash of emergency snacks. He reached his hand down, pulling out a bag of chips out of an old art box he had cut a hole in so that he could fit stuff in it.
"Here, they are pretty old and might be stale, but you should eat them. Your skinny as hell, I wouldn't want you falling apart on my carpet, that might not look good with the new fosters, they don't like me as is" he took a step forward, holding the bag out for the boy in front of him, he thanked go in that moment for his lanky ass arms, they definitely saved him from getting closer to the kid. He felt if he did that he might just have a new bite mark on his arm, and unfortunately, not the kind he likes.
The kid looked at him tentatively, as if assessing how to take him down in a fight, all of his weaknesses and his strengths, his eyes held a gleam of intelligence that he had only seen in seasoned pro's before, the look of analysis, it was incredible to see in action, his eyes darted from his face to his hands many times. He kept his face friendly, trying to actually get the kid to trust him so that he could go to bed in his own bed once this was done.
He jigged the chips in his hand, prompting the young boy to take them. His hand reached out, gently grasping at the bag, before quickly pulling it away, into his chest, he gripped at it as if it was the only food he had had for ages, which looking at his body, there was very much a chance of that. The boy was small, very, small. His muscle and fat hung to his body like it was afraid to let go, so tightly that you could start to see the outline of bone in some places along his arm, it was almost impressive how thing he was, until he remembered that not everyone had problems with being bigger like he did, so he kept his mouth shut.
The kid ripped into the bag, well, literally and in terms of eating, he ripped the bag open, flinging some crumbs before he dipped his hand inside, pulling out a few chips and quickly stuffing them into his mouth, as he chewed he looked like a squirrel that had a few to many nuts to hide before winter comes around. "So, am I supposed to just keep calling you kid in my head, or do you go by a name?" The boy stopped eating the moment he had started talking, slowly, he placed the bag behind him, as if he was protecting it from him.
He nodded his head, the chips still yet to be chewed in his mouth making it so that he could not talk, so he whipped out his hands. It was fast, but he saw the boy go through several emotions, watching as they flashed in his eyes, before his hands went through the motions that he knew well "I-Z-U-K-U" it was JSL, of course, he knew it because of his problems speaking earlier in life, and because of the muzzle he had to wear at the adoption center. But that wasn't about him, he was learning about this new boy
His eyes lit when he realized that Hitoshi knew JSL, letting himself start to talk, before stopping his hands, pulling the bag of chips back from behind him as he stuffed his mouth once more. Hitoshi wasn't sure if he was hungry or just plain didn't want to talk, it was always a toss up with strange people, and this boy was by far the strangest, an enigma to everything that hitoshi knew. But he kept going, asking another question. "So what were you doing on the sidewalk? Seemed like a pretty good nap, but ya know, it's pretty dangerous in this part of town, so I wouldn't sleep just anywhere if I were you."
The boy seemed to recognize what he was saying, as he gave a firm nod to him, making sure to shovel more chips into his mouth, hitoshi gave a groan, but a slight grin, the type his father would give him anytime he said something about being a hero. "Alright, now out of the bed, here, you can have where I was sleeping, feel free to eat the snacks, and give me the bed, because I had just fallen asleep as you woke up, so you owe me a few hours of sleep, not to mention waiting up on you, but, ah well. Bed. Now. Give"
The boy in front of him, Izuku, he reminded himself, slowly untangled himself from the sheets, placing them back on the bed where they belong, before making sure that he was alright with him sleeping in the same room, using JSL of course. "Yeah yeah, ill be fine, just let me sleep" he flopped onto the bed as soon as Izuku was out of the way, making sure to let out a sigh of air now that he was in the most comforting space in his home, almost as soon as he hit the bed, he fell asleep, all of the time he spent watching over Izuku having taken its toll on him
