Chapter 5: You're a Devil in Disguise
While the Cup Brothers and C.H.A.R.M. follow Thea, Caffina, and the directors walking around the set, Cuphead asks, "So, what's the movie about?"
"Cups in Black," Thea continues. "Two cup brothers were chosen to be part of an organization that fights demons."
"And they have very pretty female Senior agents on their side to find where the missing souls are. Which is my cousin and me," said Caffina while she and Thea posed.
As they posed, camera people appeared and took pictures.
"So, where do my friends and I come in?" Cuphead asks.
"Good question, handsome. You and your brother will be the stunt doubles of the two main heroes," said Thea.
The make-up artists and fashionists quickly make a dust cloud on the Cup Brothers to wear black suits, ties, and shades similar to the Men in Black.
Mugman whistled before saying, "Stylish. But I have stage fright."
Caffina puts a heart pin underneath his tie and says, "There. It's my bravery pin. It used to help during the first steps into acting, and look at me now."
"Caffina, I am honored you entrusted me with the pin."
"How about we have coffee with extra creamer once we are done with the scene?"
"Wow. Do you like coffee like me? It's like we were destined to meet."
"I couldn't agree more."
Cora is about to stab Caffina in the back with her sword, but she begins to glow dark blue.
"Huh?!" she said.
She begins to float and gets thrown into the janitor's closet while she says, "Gaah! The mops are still wet!"
"What about Chalice and his girlfriends?" Cuphead asks.
"They will be the stunt doubles of the hidden imp minions while that will lead to the mastermind of the stolen souls," said Thea.
"What?! Why can't Cora and I be the stunt doubles of you and your cousin?" Chalice said in suspicion when Cora returned.
"A professional actor doesn't need stunt doubles. We must prepare ourselves for the music number in the malt shop."
"Places, everyone!" said a director.
"All you and Mugman got to do are sing the song."
"You got it…Uh, what's your name?" said Cuphead.
Thea begins to have a heart attack which amuses Chalice.
"My name is Thea," she responds.
"Okay! Take one! Lights! Camera! Action," said the director.
When the spotlight shines down on the Cup Brothers, "Devil in Disguise" by Elvis Presley starts to play. Mugman feels slightly nervous about clearing his throat as Cuphead straightens his tie.
Cuphead: You look like an angel (the Four Mel Arrangement: Look like an angel)[He points to Thea, who is confused about the scene as the Four Mel Arrangement shows up in the background.]
Walk like an angel (walk like an angel) [He walks towards her with his hands on his hips and does a little spin.]
Talk like an angel [He extends his hand out towards Thea, which makes Chalice's milk foam in envy.]
With the Four Mel Arrangement: But I got wise [When Cuphead and Thea meet, Chalice takes out her spear and charges at the pair.]
Cuphead: You're the devil in disguise [When he pulls Thea in to hold her on the back and does a dip dance pose, Chalice past through them without harming both of them and collides into a wall.]
With Mugman: Oh, yes, you are, a devil in disguise (Cuphead: Mmm) [With confidence, Mugman slides backward towards Caffina so they can lean onto each other's backs and jiggle.
Mugman: You fooled me with your kisses [Then they both put their left hand and right hand in the air before they do the pose from Lilo and Stitch dancing to the song in their movie.]
You cheated, and you schemed [Cora cracks her neck before swinging her sword in the air.]
Heaven knows how you lied to me [The Cup Brothers then slide together with Thea and Caffina so that the boys will lift them in the air.]
You're not the way you seemed [Cora is charging on her feet like Classic Sonic towards Caffina to pierce with her sword and begin to run forward.]
You look like an angel (the Four Mel Arrangement: Look like an angel) [Cuphead and Mugman spin Thea and Caffina away from them so Mugman can point to Cora.]
Walk like an angel (walk like an angel) [He goes over to her to hold her chin.]
Talk like an angel [The scene looked romantic with sparkles surrounding them and both blushing for the effect.]
With the Four Mel Arrangement: But I got wise [Chalice is seen coming over while rubbing her head in pain while going back on set.]
Mugman: You're the devil in disguise [Cuphead then picked her up in bridal style.]
With Cuphead: Oh, yes, you are, devil in disguise (Mugman: Mmm) [Angel, Ginger, and Shelly then take out canes to tap dance to the song, close to the Four Mel Arrangement.]
Cuphead: I thought I was in heaven [He looks to Chalice's blushing face before he gently puts her down.]
But I was sure surprised [Soon, he and Chalice begin to tap dance together to the song.]
Heaven, help me, I didn't see [They held each other hands as soon as Mugman and Cora joined in.]
The devil in your eyes [The Cup Brothers then held Chalice's and Cora's faces with care to look into their eyes.]
Mugman: You look like an angel (the Four Mel Arrangement: Look like an angel) [They soon turned their attention to Thea and Caffina.]
Cuphead: Walk like an angel (walk like an angel) [As they walk to them, Chalice and Cora begin to glow purple and dark blue.]
Mugman: Talk like an angel [They saw float into the air, which made Angel, Ginger, and Shelly come to oversee the commotion.]
The Cup Brothers and the Four Mel Arrangement: But I got wise [They, start to glow purple and dark blue. And they begin to float alongside the other two.]
Cup Brothers: You're the devil in disguise [Then some illusions show up so imp wings can be formed on C.H.A.R.M.'s backs.]
Oh, yes, you are, devil in disguise [They were puzzled by this, but Cuphead and Mugman were amazed. Cuphead then takes a guitar and plays the song while Mugman claps to it. C.H.A.R.M. starts to come down, so the illusional wings disappear, but the glow remains. Somehow, it made them dance to Cuphead's guitar. The camera crew seems to enjoy it too.]
You're the devil in disguise [The glows on C.H.A.R.M. soon disappear when Cuphead stops playing.]
Oh, yes, you are, devil in disguise [He tosses the guitar to Chalice, and she starts to play on it.]
Oh, yes, you are, devil in disguise [Thea and Caffina begin humming as they dance towards the Cup Brothers.]
Oh, yes, you are, devil in disguise [Then all of the actors in the diner scene begin to dance all over the place.]
Oh, yes, you are, devil in disguise [Everyone on set is having fun while crew members smile, but everything ends when a director says, "CUT!"]
Then another dire said, "Great work! 10-minute break time, everyone."
"Nice. Come on, Mugsy. Let's find the toilets," said Cuphead.
"Right behind ya," said Mugman, following him.
They walk off while Thea and Caffina stare at them, which annoys Chalice and Cora.
"Something strange is going on here," said Chalice.
"Aye. I bet it has something to do with Thea and Caffina," said Cora.
"Suspicious of them because they are flirting with your Cups?" Angel said.
"What do you think?!" said Chalice and Cora, crossing their eyes.
"Let's see if they got some grape juice," said Ginger, trying to calm them down.
"And we'll make sure it's extra grapey for you, Chalice," said Shelly.
When C.H.A.R.M. goes to the refreshment table, Thea and Caffina are seen holding two cups with them. They walk towards the bathroom. The Cup Brothers came out of the bathroom to find the two actresses.
"Oh, hello…What're your names again?" said Cuphead.
"Cuphead, they are called Thea and Caffina," Mugman continued. "I'm sorry about my brother."
"It's alright. Here, we got you some tea and coffee. Extra sugar cubes and extra creamer," said Thea as she and her cousin handed the cups to the brother.
"It's impressive that you know how we like our tea and coffee."
"We have an eye to recognize other people's tastes," Caffina replies while they all drink.
"I hope I become a famous actor. I want to go on adventures and travel the world. And…maybe…," said Cuphead.
"Still thinking they're out there somewhere?" Mugman asks.
"Maybe find their bodies to give them a proper burial."
"Don't hide it, Cuphead. I still wish they were around too."
Then the Cup Brothers begin to yawn, for Thea said, "Say, boys. You look tired on your first day."
"How about you take a break? You can stay in our trailer," said Caffina.
"But that can't be right," said Cuphead as he and Mugman dropped their cups filled with tea and coffee.
"Coffee and tea are what… keep us…awake…," Mugman said before he and Cuphead collapsed.
In a brief moment, before they passed out, Thea and Caffina were heard saying, "At last! You are ours…Tee hee."
