After a very long punishment in the cupboard, the Potter Triplets were allowed to be out of the cupboard. However, that doesn't mean anything. Their uncle and aunt still don't like them. They won't just be bullied by their family; Dudley's friends were over during the summer and the Potter triplets couldn't escape them. Of course, Ashton and Harry would protect their sister when Dudley's friends try to pull her hair or mess with her rudely. The Potter triplets tried to stay away from the Dursleys' home since Dudley's friends were always there.

At the moment, the Potter Triplets stepped into the kitchen – actually, Ashton was carrying Alyssa on his back with her face resting on his neck. She was too tired to move after last night. Ashton and Harry walked up to the sink after noticing not a good smell in the kitchen. Petunia was by the sink, soaking clothing in a mental tub. The Potter boys looked into the tub. The tub was full of what looked like dirty rags swimming in gray water.

"What's this?" Harry asked his aunt Petunia.

Alyssa left her head up, looking at the tub tiredly. She, too, was a bit confused on what her aunt was doing. She slipped off Ashton's back, taking a hold of Harry's arm when their aunt replied, "Yours and Ashton's new school uniform."

Ashton, Harry, and Alyssa looked in the bowl again.

"Oh," Ashton said, "I didn't realize it had to be so wet."

Petunia snapped at her nephew about the uniform. She mentioned it was Dudley's old clothing, and she was so it could match everyone else's after she was finished. That's right – the Potter Triplets were going to a different school than Dudley. The Potter boys were going to Stonewell High while Alyssa was going to go to an all-girl school. And then there was their cousin – Dudley was going to Smeltings, a private school Vernon went to when he was just a lad.

Talking about Dudley and Vernon, they stepped into the kitchen, also not liking the smelly kitchen before they sat down at the table. Vernon was reading the newspaper when the family heard the click of the mail slot and the flop of letters on the doormat. Harry was the one force to go and grabbed the mail while Alyssa sat down at the table with her head on her forearms. When Harry left the kitchen, Ashton was rubbing Alyssa's back gently and neither of them noticed Petunia was watching her niece with concern.

Petunia's eyes were drifting between Ashton and Alyssa. Her nephews have their mother's eyes while one of her nephews and her only niece has their mother's red hair. All of them remind Petunia of her late-sister – Lily Potter (Evans). Yes, Petunia hates what they are because of what happened to her sister. But she didn't want her husband to think she cares for her nephews and niece. Admitting, Petunia didn't want to lose the only connection she had left of her late-sister.

Harry returned to the kitchen with the mail. He stepped next to his brother, handing Ashton and Alyssa their letters. They looked at it confused when they read the front of the letter:

Mr. H. Potter/Mr. S. Potter/Miss. A. Potter

The Cupboard under the Stairs

4 Privet Drive

Little Whinging

Surrey

All three of them were confused why they had letters and how this person knew they slept under the stairs. They were going to open their letters when Dudley shouted, "Dad! Dad! Harry, Ashton, and Alyssa got something!"

Vernon snatched Harry's letter, who exclaimed loudly, "That's mine!" Ashton's and Alyssa's eyes widened when Petunia took their letters. That's when their aunt and uncle noticed who sent the letters. The adults shushed the children (even their "Dinky Duddlydums") before forcing the four out of the kitchen.

That's when the trouble started for the Dursleys.

At first, Vernon and Petunia decided to move the Potter triplets up to Dudley's extra room. Of course, Dudley's wasn't too pleased with this. However, that didn't stop the letters from coming. More letters came through the days. Some from the fireplace, some from the mail slot, windows and even owls. That's when Vernon decided to pack up the family and "ditch" their home. They were in a hotel for a day or so before more letters came. It seemed like Vernon had enough, he stormed out and was gone for an hour or two before returning with a massive smile on his face, "I got us a boat. There is a house across the island and we will be staying there for a while."

After getting to the house, the Potter triplets were laying on the ground on their stomach. Alyssa was laying in between her brothers and her head was resting on Harry's shoulders. Harry and Ashton were watching the time on Dudley's watch before it hit midnight — July 31st. Their birthday.

"Happy birthday," they mumbled to each other with sad smiles on their faces. However, the smiles faded when there was a big bang at the door. The triplets and Dudley jumped up while Vernon and Petunia ran down the stairs. Alyssa was standing behind Ashton, who was standing protective in front of her. Harry was standing next to Ashton, holding his brother's hand. They backed up a bit when the door came falling to the ground.

A giant of a man was standing in the doorway. His face was almost completely hidden by a long, shaggy mane of hair and a wild, tangled beard, but you could make out his eyes, glinting like black beetles under all the hair. (Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's/Philosopher's Stone – Chapter Four: The Keepy of the Keys – Page 46)

However, he wasn't the only one that was there. Once the giant man stepped into the small house, two people were behind him. A man and a woman. The man was thin with sallow skin, a large, hooked nose, and yellow, uneven teeth. He has shoulder-length, greasy black hair which frames his face, and cold, black eyes. The woman had blonde hair, however, it was a beautiful (almost shining) blonde. Her eyes were a warm, blue color, but they turned a bit cold when she glanced down at the Potter triplets.

"Couldn't make us a cup o' tea, could yeh? It's not been an easy journey. . . ." the giant said after picking the door up and fitting it easily back into its frame. He sat down on the couch, which was empty since Dudley went towards his parents. The two other strangers stand by. The woman was looking at the Potter triplets while the man was looking back and forth between the Potters and Dursleys.

"An' here's Harry, Skyler, and Alyssa!" said the giant, "Las' time I saw you, you were only babies. Harry, yeh look a lot like yer dad, but yeh've got yer mom's eyes. Alyssa, yeh look a lot like yer mom, but yeh've got yer dad's eyes. Skyler, yeh look a lot like yer mom, an' yeh've got yer mom's eyes."

"Skyler and Harry look very identical, minus their hair color," the woman commented, a bit rude. The other man gave a sharp nod, agreeing with the woman.

The Potter triplets looked at each other in confusion before glancing back at the strangers. They seemed to know who the Potter triplets were, but the young children never met these people before.

The giant acts like he didn't hear the woman since he kept his eyes on Harry, Ashton (Skyler), and Alyssa, "Harry, Skyler, Alyssa. A very happy birthday to yeh. Got summat fer yeh here – I mighta sat on it at some point, but it'll taste all right."

Harry took the box that man pulled out of his coat, opening it. It was a large, sticky chocolate cake with Happy Birthday Harry, Skyler, an' Alyssa written on in green icing. The triplets looked away from the cake, looking at the three strangers, asking in unison, "Who are you?"

"True, I haven't introduced meself. Rubeus Hagrid, Keeper of Keys and Grounds at Hogwarts," chuckled the giant named Rubeus Hagrid.

The woman stepped forward, saying a bit cold, "I am Professor Pandora Black. This is Professor Severus Snape, the potion master at Hogwarts."

The Potter triplets kept quiet watching as the giant – Hagrid – went through the pockets of his coat. He pulled out a copper kettle, a squashy package of sausages, a teacup, several chipped mugs, and a bottle of some amber liquid. Everyone was quiet when Hagrid took a swig of the bottle (which got Pandora Black rolling her blue eyes) before he started the tea. Soon enough, the smell of the sausage filled up in the house. Of course, it got Dudley hungry. He was going to step forward, but his dad stopped him by saying, "Don't touch anything they give you, Dudley."

Pandora chuckled darkly, "Like that boy needs more food."

That sentence made Vernon and Petunia glared angrily at the female, which Pandora didn't care. She glanced back at Potter children, noticing they were confused about why they were here. Hagrid gave the Potter triplets some sausage. Pandora's eyes widened when she saw how hungry they were. She glanced at Severus Snape, who was wearing the same look Pandora Black was wearing.

Harry looked at his siblings before glancing back at the strangers. He wasn't sure if they were here to hurt them or not, however, the hungry eleven year old boy wasn't going to deny the food the giant was giving him.

"I'm sorry, but we still don't really know who you are," said Harry, taking bites of his sausage. Ashton and Alyssa nodded their heads, agreeing with Harry. Something about that sentence didn't set right for Pandora, but she didn't say a word about it.

"Call me Hagrid," he said, after taking a gulp of his tea, "Everyone does. An' like I told yeh, I'm the Keeper of Keys at Hogwarts — yeh'll know all about Hogwarts, o' course."

"Er — No," Ashton said.

Hagrid was shocked. But Pandora and Severus weren't too shocked. Severus wasn't shocked because he knew who Petunia Dursley was and when he found out the Potter triplets were with her, he knew right away Petunia wasn't going to tell the triplets the truth. Pandora wasn't shocked because she had a feeling that Lily Potter's sister might not know much — which was far from the truth.

Thinking they were angry, Alyssa quickly said, "Sorry!"

"Sorry?" barked Hagrid, not too happy with the Dursley, "It's them as should be sorry! I knew yeh weren't gettin' yeh letters but I never thought yeh wouldn't even know abou' Hogwarts, fer cryin' out loud! Did yeh never wonder where yer parents learned it all?"

"All what?" asked the Potter triplets.

Maybe that wasn't a good answer since it made Hagrid angry. Pandora wasn't a bit happy with the Dursleys either. Severus — he doesn't care either way. Okay. Maybe that's a little lie. He felt a little concern about what Petunia told her nephews and niece the truth about their mother – Lily Potters.

" — abou' ANYTHIN'!"

"We know some things," said Harry, pointing at himself and his siblings, "We can, you know, do math and stuff."

Pandora shook her head, feeling her hair against her shoulders, "Not those things, Jam–Harry."

Harry narrowed his eyes in confusion. This woman — Pandora Black — was about to call him James. But why? Who was James? (I'm assuming Harry never knew his parents names before Hagrid)

"DURSLEY!" Hagrid howled angrily, interrupting Harry's thoughts, before turning to the Potter triplets, "But yeh must know about yer mom and dad. I mean, they're famous. Yer famous, Harry."

Ashton's and Alyssa's head snapped towards Harry, who was staring up at Hagrid with shock in his wide green eyes.

"O-our parents were f-f-famous?" stuttered Harry, shocked, "I-I'm f-f-famous?"

"Yeh don't know . . . Yeh don't know . . . Yeh don't know what yeh are?"

It seems like Vernon decided to find his voice since he stepped forward, shouted in his normal angry tone, "Stop! Stop right there, sir! I forbid you to tell them anything!"

That seemed to kick some sense in Pandora since she stepped forward with anger in her voice, "Forbid us!? You, muggle, cannot forbid us to do anything! Jam-Harry, Skyler, and Alyssa have a right to know what you're keeping from them! I still don't believe they should be with your muggles!"

"Muggle?" asked Alyssa, "What is a muggle?"

"A Muggle is a person who lacks any sort of magical ability and was not born in a magical family," replied Severus Snape, looking down at Alyssa, "Muggles can also be described as people who do not have any magical blood inside them, Lil–Alyssa."

Now, it was Alyssa's turn to be confused. Professor Snape was about to call her Lily. Who was Lily?

Pandora had enough with the Dursleys. She turned to the Potter Triplets, noticing they were staring up at her. She sighed heavily, explaining, "Jam-Harry, Skyler, and Alyssa. Your muggle family kept this from you and it's time for you three to know the truth. Hagrid, would you like to do the honors?"

"Harry, Skyler, Alyssa – yer wizards and a witch."

It was Ashton who turned towards his Aunt Petunia with rage in his green eyes, "You knew? You know all this time! You made us think we're crazy!"

At last, Ashton knew what they were now. Maybe an adult could help his sister with her "furry" problem.

"Knew!" shrieked Aunt Petunia suddenly, "Knew! Of course we knew! How could you {three} not be my dratted sister being what she was? Oh, she got a letter just like that and disappeared off to that – that school – and came home every vacation with her pockets full of frog spawn, turning teacups into rats. I was the only one who saw her for what she was – a freak! But for my mother and father, oh no, it was Lily this and Lily that, they were proud of having a witch in the family!"

She stopped to draw a deep breath and then went ranting on. It seemed she had been wanting to say all this for years.

"Then she met that Potter at school and they left and got married and had you {three}, and of course I knew you'd be just the same, just as strange, just as – as – abnormal – and then, if you please, she went and got herself blown up and we got landed with you!" (Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's/Philosopher's Stone – Chapter Four: The Keepy of the Keys – Page 53)

The triplets looked at each other, realizing something. Their aunt had lied to them for ten years. Everything about their parents were lies. This did not go right in their stomach.

Everyone looked at Severus Snape when he chuckled darkly, "You were just jealous of Lily since she was smarter than you! And more special than you!"

"Look who's talking," mumbled Pandora, who got a glare from Severus.

Alyssa shook her head, looking back at Petunia confused, "But you told us that our parents died in a car crash because our father was no-good drunk."

"WHAT?!" said Pandora, bitterly, "James was not a bloody drunk! James was a good man that would have done anything to make sure his family was protected! He died trying to protect Lily and their children! You know nothing about James bloody Potter!"

"Died protecting us?" asked Harry before Ashton took over, "What really happened?"

With that question, Pandora turned around, closing her eyes tightly. She hugged herself. She didn't notice the looks she was getting from Hagrid (who was looking at her with pity in his eyes) and Severus (who had a blank look on his face). The Potter triplets were looking at the woman with confusion. It was Hagrid who told the Potter triplets the truth.

"Well, it's best yeh know as much as I can tell yeh — mind, I can't tell yeh everythin', it's a great myst'ry, parts of it. . . . It begins, I supposed, with — with a person called — but it's incredible yeh don't know his name, everyone in our world knows — Well — I don' like sayin' the name if I can help it. No one does. Guplin' gargoyles, Harry, Skyler, Alyssa, people are still scared. Blimey, this is difficult. See, there was this wizard who went . . . bad. As bad as you could go. Worse. Worse than worse. His name was . . . Voldemort," mumbled Hagrid.

Alyssa noticed Severus rubbed his left arm when Pandora turned around, taking over, "Anyway, kiddos, this wizard about twenty years ago now, started looking for followers. Got them, too — some were afraid, some just wanted a bit of his power because he was getting himself power all right. Dark days. Didn't know who to trust, didn't dare get friendly with strange wizards or witches . . . terrible things happened. He was taking over. Some stood up to him and he killed them. Horribly. The only safe place was Hogwarts. Reckon Dumbledore's the only one You-Know-Who was afraid of. Didn't dare try taking the school."

"Now," Hagrid spoke again, having his eyes drifted to Pandora before back to the Potter triplets, "Yer mum an' dad were as good a witch an' wizard as I ever knew. Head boy an' girl at Hogwarts in their day! Suppose the myst'ry is why You-Know-Who never tried to get 'em on his side before . . . probably knew they were too close ter Dumbledore ter want anythin' ter do with the Dark Side. Maybe he thought he could persuade 'em . . . maybe he just wanted 'em outta the way. All anyone knows is, he turned up in the village where you was all living, on Halloween ten years ago. You was just a year old. He came ter yer house an' — an' —"

Hagrid suddenly pulled out a very dirty, spotted handkerchief and blew his nose with a sound like a foghorn.

"Sorry," he said, having Pandora rub his shoulder, "But it's that sad!"

"I will take it from here, Hagrid," said Pandora sadly, having the half-giant nod his head. Pandora Black turned back to the three children, continuing on what Hagrid was saying, "It was and still sad. You-Know-Who killed them. And then — this is the real mystery — he tried to kill you, Harry. Wanted to make a clean job of it, I supposed, or maybe he just liked killing. But he couldn't do it. Never wondered how you got that mark on your forehead? That was no ordinary cut. That's what you get when a powerful, evil curse touches you — took care of your mum and dad and your house, even — but it didn't work on you, and that's why you're famous, Jam–Harry. No one ever lived after he decided to kill them, no one except you, and he killed some of the best witches and wizards of the age — the McKinnons, the Bones, the Prewetts — and you were only a baby, and you lived."

Before either kid could say a word, Severus Snape stopped forward, looking a bit bored, "Everyone heard the story before. Now, I think it's time for them to get to sleep since we have a very busy day tomorrow."

Pandora glared at Severus, "Their muggle aunt lied to them. They never knew the truth. Jam–Harry, Skyler, and Alyssa have a right to know the truth — the full truth."

"Maybe not the full truth," mumbled Severus, no one heard him.

Pandora opened her mouth and was going to agree with Severus, but she was cut off by Vernon yelling at him about the Potters not going to Hogwarts and being taught by an old man. That made Hagrid mad, giving Dudley a pigtail, which forced Dudley to leave with his parents. Pandora chuckled lightly before turning to the children, "Professor Snape is right. Get off to bed. We have a long day ahead of us."
