Happy Valentine's Day! Of course Bella and Paul are going on a date for Valentine's lol next chapter is coming next month, so I'll see you then!
Bella nervously looked at the mirror, trying not to freak out too much. Paul and her relationship was fairly new, but she felt a good thing about it. Having a date on Valentine's Day seemed like a big step, but Bella was giddy with the idea.
"Mummy." Giovanna's voice called from her room, making Bella frown. "Mummy?"
"What's wrong, sweetie?" Bella asked, entering her daughter's room and frowning at the pitiful image in front of her. "Oh, Gio."
Giovanna was looking a little pale, with her eyes cast down, and when Bella came near her on the bed, she felt how warm her daughter was. It looked like Giovanna had come down with the flu that was running around.
"I don't feel good," Giovanna said in a small voice, and Bella's heart ached for her daughter. "I want soup, Mummy."
"Mummy will make some soup for you, sweetie." Bella kissed her daughter's forehead and stood up, knowing she will have to reschedule her plans. "Just have to make a call."
Bella was feeling sad she was going to have to cancel her plans with Paul, but it wasn't even a choice. She would never let Giovanna alone, not when she was sick. Taking a deep breath, she grabbed her cell phone and called Paul.
"Hey gorgeous," Paul answered his phone and made Bella blush just by listening to his voice. "I know that you have missed me, but I never imagined you would call me before we met."
She giggled, loving how Paul made her feel. "Yes, I may have missed you, but this wasn't the reason why I called."
"Why did you call? Something happened?" Paul's voice was laced with concern, and Bella's heart swell with affection for him.
"Gio is sick, I think she got the flu," Bella said, biting her nail, thinking about what she would say next. "I think we'll have to reschedule our date."
"Poor Gio, I hope she gets better soon." Paul was reassuring her, and Bella melted. "And don't worry about our date, we can have many dates in the future. For now, you take care of the little hooligan."
"Thank you, Paul," Bella whispered, feeling something stir inside her chest. She knew not all men would be so comprehensive about having a date cancelled, but not all men were Paul Lahote. "Call me tomorrow?"
"You bet. I'm going to miss you though," Paul whispered and Bella bit her lip, thinking about having him whispering in her ear.
"Me too." She sighed, looking at Gio who was looking like she was going to pass out soon. "Okay, gotta go. Bye, Paul."
They hung up and Bella walked towards her daughter, wrapping Giovanna in her blankets before walking towards the kitchen. It wasn't the Valentine's Day Bella had in mind, but she was glad to be with her daughter.
"Thank you for the soup, Mummy," Giovanna said in a rough whisper. "It was very yummy."
They were sitting on the couch, watching Disney movies. Bella was cuddling with Giovanna and they were having a good time; Giovanna even seemed to be getting a little better.
Tangled was almost to the end, when the doorbell rang. Bella frowned, since she wasn't expecting anyone. Thinking it should be Charlie checking up on them, Bella let Giovanna on the couch and walked towards the door.
She was pleasantly surprised to find Paul and Maya on the other side. Before she remembered that she was wearing sweats, her favourite plush sweater and fuzzy pink socks.
"Paul! Maya! Hi!" Bella said, trying to wrap her mind around their visit. "What are you two doing here?"
Paul chuckled at her flustered appearance. "Well, it's Valentine's Day, and I thought we could have a stay-in date with the girls?"
Bella had to stop herself to not throw herself into his arms, or else she may have traumatised his daughter. The fact that he thought about doing something with the girls, made her want to kiss him senseless.
"This is the best idea I ever heard," Bella said, trying to fight the sudden tears in her eyes. "Maya, honey, why don't you go inside? Gio is on the couch, and we're having a Disney movie marathon."
"Okie dokie, Miss Bella!" Maya quickly hugged Bella, before skipping towards the room.
"You're the most amazing man I have ever had the opportunity to meet," Bella said, before grabbing Paul and kissing him senseless.
Kissing Paul was always like she felt falling in love was. It was easy and simple, and always left her wanting more; they were taking things slowly, but sometimes, Bella felt like she wanted to ravish him.
"I guess you liked this new date idea?" Paul asked, as soon as Bella let him breathe. "If you're going to say hello to me like this every time we see each other, I may have to stop by your house every day."
Bella pushed Paul's arm, but he grabbed her hand and kissed her again. This time, the kiss was quick, since they were aware of their daughters alone on the living room.
"Ready for a night of Disney movies and happy sighs from our daughters?" Bella asked, bringing him inside and closing the door. "I think they have a crush on every Disney prince, not that I can fault them."
Paul smirked, sneaking a hand through her waist. "With you by my side, I can handle anything."
Bella blushed hard at his cheeky line, but she knew he spoke from the heart. Looking at him, something came up on her mind.
"Paul?" Bella asked, and Paul raised an eyebrow at her. "Do you want to be my Valentine?"
He smirked at her, and pecked her on the lips. "I thought you would never ask."
Laughing, Bella took his hand and walked towards the living room, ready for their date with their daughters. It was the perfect Valentine's Day.
