CHAPTER 1
They had been dating for a few weeks now – It was wonderful. It was lovely. It was… just okay. Hinata was too shy to admit that she wanted more from Naruto. More than their hello hugs, more than their sweet goodnight kisses, and more than the cute hand holding. She craved a deeper type of affection, one that was a little more… intimate.
Or as Ino very eloquently said yesterday on a girls night out, "so you wanna fuc-"
"Help yourself to anything in the fridge," Naruto's voice called out from his room - where he was changing.
Hinata was brought back to the current moment. It was raining cats and dogs outside. The rain came down heavily. She and Naruto got caught in the downpour on their way to get lunch and ran to his place seeking shelter. Soaked and hungry, they agreed to have a ramen date at home.
Now Hinata was in his kitchen. Naruto had given her a towel to dry up and a hoodie to wear. Orange wasn't her colour, but it was warm and it smelled like him, so Hinata didn't have a problem with that.
Hinata opened the fridge to look for something to supplement their ramen cups. She spotted some cucumbers in his fridge beside a few cans of beer. Intrigued, she opened a can and took a few sips. Then she grabbed the cucumbers and proceeded to wash them at the sink.
"I was glad to see you have vegetables in the fridge," she told him, not turning around.
An arm reached out over her to the shelf above the sink. "Yeah, you're really rubbing off on me, Hina. I'm really healthy now," he said coolly, reaching his arm over her effortlessly grabbing the ramen cups in the top shelf– two in one hand, "Which flavour would you like? Salt or Shrimp?"
Hinata did not hear him, she was distracted at the sight of his exposed biceps. Watching him stretch and flexed his arm, her eyes trailed to his broad shoulders - which were also exposed. Naruto was standing behind her shirtless. His hair was still damp. And his chest was bare.
Many would agree with Hinata that one could feel Naruto's warmth radiate from miles away and right now from where she was standing, Hinata was melting.
Unable to help herself, Hinata's hand reached up to touch his shoulder. Her fingers grazed his skin, it was smooth and solid like carved marble.
"Hinata?"
"Hmmm?" She hummed, her eyes tracing the hard ridge of his collarbone.
"Salt or Shrimp?" Naruto said, seemingly undisturbed at her touching him. If anything he had a smile on his lips.
"Oh!" Hinata pulled her hand back. "The first one."
Naruto dutifully started the kettle and prepared the ramen cups.
Have some decency, Hinata, she mentally scolded herself as she turned back to cut the cucumbers. She sneaked a peak at Naruto's lower back, catching sight of how low his sweatpants hung on his hips.
Oh Hinata is so cute. My girlfriend is so so cute. And she's pretty and smells good. And now we're going to have ramen together. This is such a good day, Naruto thought to himself happily. When she came out wearing his hoodie, it almost hurt to look at her. She had her hair wrapped up in a towel so her ears and neck were exposed. She looked like a big scoop of ice cream, swallowed up in his large orange hoodie.
When he gave Hinata his hoodie, he hadn't realised he was out of clean shirts. He knew it wasn't appropriate to make her walk about shirtless. If he did, Sakura would punch him into next week. So he figured he'd just go out in his sweatpants. He was glad Hinata seemed okay with it. She even touched his chest. Her fingers were a little cold, but she was gentle. And sweet. And so so cute. Did he mention she smelled really good?
Now the kettle was boiling. Soon they'd have some ramen and as usual, they'd sit by their couch. He loved sitting next to Hinata. He loved spending time with her. Just having her around was enough to keep his happy for weeks
"Naruto," Hinata called his name gently.
"Yes?" Naruto said.
"I'd like to go all the way," Hinata said firmly with a cucumber in her hands.
"Okay sure," Naruto said gleefully, standing upright in front of her. Hinata looked at him wide-eyed, surprised how easy-going he was. "So… where do you wanna go?" he asked.
