Chapter three
"Thank god you're here" Penny had pulled Amy into the dining room as soon as physically possible "she's already snapped at Megan"
"I only came because I knew you were here" Amy reassured her "so, why are you so sick
"I'm pregnant" Penny confessed "and I'm the sickest I've ever been!"
"four kids?" Amy exclaimed, almost too loud "how are you going to cope with four kids?"
"I'll manage" Penny was annoyed "I'll have too"
"Sorry" Amy apologised "I just never thought you'd have so many kids…"
"not now" Penny shrieked "what do I do?"
"I think you're going to have to tell them" Amy told Penny what she already knew "you can't keep this secret, Penny, you're too ill"
"I know" Penny cursed Amy silently, she was always right "how long do you think I can last until they find out about the baby?"
"What baby?" Juliet screeched as she came into the kitchen
"about thirty seconds" Amy answered a little too late
"I'm pregnant" Penny smiled, mentally preparing herself for Juliet's excitement, Beverly's disapproval and Michael's silly 'no TV?' and 'didn't know you had it in you, little bro' jokes.
Penny wasn't disappointed, the congratulations came thick and fast from the whole family except Beverly
"not another one" Beverly rolled her eyes out loud "can't you two keep your hands off each other?"
"always been the same" Sheldon added unhelpfully "coitus, coitus, coitus"
"Can I ask" Beverly didn't really give them a choice, but liked to make them believe they did "when are you going to let me start experimenting on your kids?"
"never, mom" Leonard couldn't believe his ears "you're never going to be allowed to experiment on our children"
"all right" Beverly couldn't understand why but she decided not to pursue it this time. She would just experiment on them without them knowing.
