One Door Closes
"You take care of yourself." Brasso tells him.
"It's too late for that." He replies, and ducks into the tunnels.
Down the road he goes, beneath what will soon be the deathbed of many. He drags Bix back through the tunnels even as explosions and blasterfire wreak havoc across the town. He gets her to Brasso and the others, watches the ship leave, and-
And remembers the eccentric man who'd turned his life upside down.
