Legends speak of many monsters, vampires, werewolves, and even the undead. But this is a tale of pain, sharrow, and misfortune. About one man's journey to redeem himself only to fall into darkness.
Daniel Fenton was no normal man. He was the son of the Legendary Monster Hunter, Jack Fenton. The youngest and only son of the Fenton Family at first didn't want to follow in his father's footsteps. But one day, his elder sister was taken by Monsters, and his parents were slain by them. With no way of knowing if his sister was alive, he was the only member of the family left. Daniel swore revenge against all monsters and was trained in the church to fight them. His mind was filled with nothing but hatred toward the monsters. However, two people were able to curb that hate. Tucker Foley and Samthana Manson. The two were studying monsters against their master's wishes and learned that many people were wrong about monsters. At first, Daniel was against the idea of believing in good monsters, but Samthana and Tucker told him of how monsters live almost similar to humans and even have families of their own. I could see it in the young man's eyes. His hatred toward monsters has lessened and the three become good friends. Daniel even become fond of Samthana as did she toward him.
But not all good things were to last. When the heavens were cut off from the earth, Monsters and demons attacked, killing his two friends. Once more filled with hate, Young Daniel set off to find the ones behind the attack. The ones known as the Lords of Shadows.
Monster Heroes and the Lords of Shadows.
A young man rode on horseback towards the village that was clearing out before night fell. Many believe that the gods have abandoned them and were trying to get away from the creatures of the night. The young man rode into the village, seeing that few men had stayed behind to fight. However, he could sense that they were scared. Knowing that those who were scared, he give a small prayer, knowing they will be the first to die. The gates were high and had stab edges, but he knew it wouldn't keep them out. The sun disappear and the forest grew quiet. Many of the villagers looks surprised and some were scared. But not him, he knew something was coming and he was prepared for it. The gates were banged against, a loud growl coming from the other side.
Some villagers back away behind the man, who remains still. The banging and growling continue for a few seconds before it stopped. It was quiet before the growling returned. Everyone looked up to see a huge beast climbing over the gate before jumping over the spikes and onto a roof. It howls at the night sky as many villagers back away in fright.
The beast soon jumps jump biting the head of one villager that was unlucky enough to not move out of the way. The Villages tried to fight back, but more jumped over the gate. The villagers tried to fight but were killed one by one. A few survivors were able to back away before the young man stepped forward. The beasts growl at the man but he remains unafraid. Finally, the man pushes aside his cloak, showing a large metal cross on his hip. The beasts growl more when they saw that cross. One tried to attack him but was knocked aside when the man grabs the cross and swings it out, causing a chain to lash out and strike the beast. But the wasn't an original chain. It was blessed with divine power by the gods and was able to kill the creatures of the night. The man finally threw off his cloak, showing his black and white armor and his family crest.
Daniel Fenton stood ready as the best that attacked him lay dead on the ground in front of him. The others growled loudly, sensing that this human was not a common one. Another tried to attack but was hit by the chain. Two more tried to jump toward him but Daniel jumped back, causing the beasts to land on the ground. Another was able to surprise Daniel, but he quickly use his cross to block the beast's attack. Another one tried to jump at him but Daniel rolled out of the way. More and more beasts attacked but they soon fell at Daniel's feet.
The villagers were surprised. Who was this man? Suddenly, the gates were slammed on again, this time with something bigger. Some villagers held up their torches and pitchforks. But the slamming didn't stop. A loud growl was heard, causing them to shake in fear. The gates soon burst open to show the alpha of the beasts. It notices one villager close by and attacked him. Daniel knew an alpha was much stronger, and like the rest of the back, was nothing more than a mindless beast. It soon sense him and growled.
Daniel remains still, glaring back at the best. Suddenly, the Alpha attacked. Daniel barely dodges its long claws before striking out with his whip cross. It hit the beast, but it only growl and tried to attack again. The two seem to dance in the night. Daniel strike the beast as it tried to hit him with its long claws. Daniel knocked the best back but it rolled back to its paws before charging at him. Daniel was knocked back as the beast jumped to a rooftop. Daniel rolled to his feet and saw the beast getting ready to attack. Just as the beast jumps, Daniel grabs the huge log with a spike tip and held it up, impaling the beast. The beast shuggled before it went still. Tossing the beast aside, Daniel stood up, knowing the rest of the pack will back off with their alpha dead. He was soon approached by a few villagers.
"Who are you?" A villager asked.
"Just some lonely man looking for something he lost," Daniel said, walking over to his horse.
However, his horse was dead. Attacking by the beast during his fight. He sighs before turning to the gates. The villages watched as he walk past the gates and into the lads that will take him to the Lords of the Shadows.
And so the young man began his journey to seek out the Lords of the Shadows. Not knowing that his fight with them will lead him down a path that was foreseen long before his birth. For the one that killed the Lords of Shadows, will become the new princess of Darkness.
Short that this is more of an intro. Anyways, if you remember my Monster Hero stories, this a similar to Castlevania: Lords of Shadow. Now, this version is different. Danny doesn't have his powers, but he is a fighter that was trained. He lost both his family and his friends and is now hunting the Lords of Shadow to avenge their deaths. Another huge change is the number of heroes that are appearing. It's no longer six people, it's now three. Leo, the werewolf. And Vampirella, the vampire. That means there's no Witcha, Slimey, or Damn in this version. So, what next? Since I haven't seen the walkthrough of Lords of Shadow in some time, I might watch a few videos to help decide. And I don't have the games, so don't tell me to play it. I can't.
