A/N: Man, it's been a while ever since I've posted an NFL Rush Zone story, hasn't it? Well, time to get back onto my feet and work on Rusher stories again.
Before we start this, please note that this story is a "What-If" scenario of "Knights of the Sky: Part 1". What if Lasso has enough strength in order to escape from Zactu's plan? Let's found out.
"OUR DEACTIVATORS AREN'T WORKING ON THEM!" Ash shouted, finding out her projectile lazers had taken no effect on each of the blitz bots. Originally it was supposed to take damage, but unfortunately no effect. "A little help here!"
"On it!" Troy bellowed, protecting Ash from any further attacks. He delivered a punch on the robotic creature, but it had taken no damage from it. He jumped and secured the other Guardian, and watched everyone else in the group protect each other. "Or not.."
"Does anyone else see a big problem here!?" Marty asked, his tone of voice changed from serious to rather more of a nervous one. Tua, soon comes into action. Jumping behind the last three Guardians, he delivered a tackle, but soon the robot avoided his attack. "I've got a big answer!"
"Or maybe not.." Ish muttered, watching Tua get attacked by the blitz bot. A few Rusherz soon ran towards the Guardians who are in need of serious help. "Megacores are secured inside.." The Patriots Rusher, Freedom responded to Ish, informing that each of the Megacores from all NFL teams are safe and locked inside.
"Good. We need some help over here!" The Chargers Guardian Ish yelled to get the other Rusherz' their attention. "They've taken NO damage from any of us!"
The other Rusherz ran over to the periled Ish, watching several groups of blitz bots take each step closer in front of them. "We could help them out ASAP." Talon, the Falcons Rusher informed as he watched the robotic creature get closer to Ish. "Everyone in position!"
Each Rusher from every NFL team proceeded to huddle up into groups and run closer to the robotic figures for payback. Not only they could fight them off, but they are in need of helping every Guardian out of trouble. Lasso, who'd just came from the group, prepared his rope in case he's in peril.
As soon as the Rusherz continued on running, a red flash of light can be seen, several feet away from each Guardian remaining. They stopped, and took notice of the light shining above them. Could it be something that has to do with a celebration? No. That ain't gotta do with that. Without further realization, all of the Rusherz, including Lasso, began to levitate, not knowing what else to do next.
Ash, who was too busy fighting off other blitz bots, finally took notice of the now troubled Rusherz who are in a serious need of escape. "THE RUSHERZ! WHAT'S HAPPENING TO THEM!?" Ash bellowed, turning over to the Rusherz who are now gettiing captured by what appeared to be rather large.
It turns out to be a spaceship, who is now used to capture each Rusher and use them for stealing their energy. Lasso, who only has no options other than using his trusty rope to escape, threw it over to the robotic creature's head and tied its horns up, thinking he would get out of the situation in the process.
Luckily, his rope has just about enough grip for the Cowboys Rusher to successfully manage to escape just as soon as the rest of the group were taken to a nearby ship. The ship appeared to be RATHER large, just as the size of a humpback whale! Once all of the Rusherz; except Lasso, were fully taken into the vehicle, the Cowboys Rusher lands on the ground, and tugs his rope in order to take it off of the blitz bot's horn.
"THEY GOT ALL OF THE-" Ricky shouted, before he was cut off by an inaudible thud. He turned around, and was shocked to see Lasso, on the sidewalk, with his trusty rope now off the robot's horn. "Lasso!? What are you-"
"No time, partner. We've got a serious situation to deal with!" Lasso snarled as he threw his rope over to the blitz bot, tying it in the process. "I've finally managed to escape this time!"
"B-But, how'd you do that!?" Marty asked, his tone of voice now shifted into shock after finding out the Rusher managed to escape. Normally, Rusherz who don't have the strength can't find a way to escape from Zactu, but this lucky figure like Lasso had other plans. "Wait.. don't tell me you.."
"With my trusty weapon, yes. I did manage to escape this time!" Lasso chuckled before he was soon cut off by the sounds of the blitz bot walking over to time. "GUARDIANS! NOW!" He yelled, pointing his index finger over to the red dot, which leads to the robotic creature forming into a ball.
The guardians nodded, and aimed their lazers over to the robotic figures walking over to them. They don't have the best aim, yet they successfully managed to hit the red cylinder of each blitz bot, resulting in them forming now into the shape of a ball. "That...That was a close one.." Marty panted as he picked up the ball off the ground.
"I wouldn't be around if my rope wasn't strong enough.." Lasso sighed as he examined the rope he'd just used to escape. "Now that I'm the only Rusher remaining, it's fully up to you guys to save the rest of the group.."
The guardians stared at the Rusher for a few seconds, then nodded. "I need you guys to save the rest of the Rusherz before it's too late." Lasso informed the other guardians as he went over to them. "I can't save the rest of my group alone, so it's up to the rest of you to save ALL of them. Not one, but ALL of the Rusherz remaining."
"Which means.." Ish paused to take a moment. "You're the only Rusher remaining."
"Yes, Ish. Yes I am.." Lasso spat as he turned away from the other five guardians.
"Don't worry, Lasso. It's fully required for us to save the rest of your team.." Lasso turned back at Ish and the rest of the others after what he'd just said. "We're not here to give up just now.."
