Side Note: Huggy's/Bob's lines will be italic font

Eighteen Years Ago

Long ago, in a galaxy far away there was a planet named Lexicon. A yellow planet with two red rings. It was a beautiful utopia, filled with advanced technology. The Lexiconians weren't only just good at science, but they also had a vast vocabulary. Over many centuries they gained vast knowledge. From agriculture, to industrial to even figuring out space travel. It was truly one of the greatest civilizations in the universe.

But one day it all changed, when THEY came. An alien race that called themselves... The Dominators. They claimed to come in peace, only wishing to study the planet. But it all changed when they started to abduct civilians to experiment on. The king and queen of Lexicon were enraged by the Dominators treachery that they declared war on them. Over the next fifty years the two sides fought a bloody and brutal war.

Unfortunately, the Dominators were too strong. More and more causalities befell the Lexiconians. And the planet was almost completely ravaged. Knowing that their race was nearly at its end the new king and queen of Lexicon devised a plan to keep their race alive.

We cut inside the Lexiconian palace as we the king and queen staring out to their fallen kingdom with solemn expressions. "Are you sure this is the only way beloved?" The queen asked her husband. "I'm afraid so my dear. Lexicon has fallen, and so has our people. This is the only way." He tells her, his voice filled with regret. "But she is our daughter! I don't want to lose her!" She argued passionately. "I know she is! And this is the only way to insure her future!" He argued back, which made the queen back down.

The king noticed his tone and calmed down. "I'm sorry my dear. I don't like this idea as well, but this is th only way. If there's any solace to this, it's that she will not be alone." The king says trying to comfort his wife. And seemingly one cue a knock came to door. "Enter." The king says. The door opens and inside comes two guards wearing red cloaks with a red star inside a yellow shield. "Your majesties." The two guards say as they bow. "You may rise." The king tells them. The two guards immediately comply with their king's order as they rose to their feet.

"Your majesties, he's here as you order." The guard on the right tells the king and queen. "Send him in." The king ordered. A moment later a monkey wearing a light blue spandex shirt with a golden lightning bolt on the chest, red pants, a communications belt and a scarlet red helmet with antenna walked into the room. "Captain Huggy Face." The king greeted. "Thank you for meeting with us." The king says giving his gratitude. "We have a mission of most importance for you." The queen tells the monkey captain. "What is it your majesties?" Huggy asked in his monkey language. "The war with the Dominators has ravaged our home, I'm afraid there is no stopping them. That is why we humbly request that you take our daughter, the princess off the planet." The king ordered.

Huggy could not believe what he was hearing. The king and queen were essentially telling him that the war is lost, and the only option left is survival. "Are you sure your majesty?" Bob questioned, hoping there was another way. "I understand captain. You have sacrifice much, but I must ask this of you, it's the only way to save our race." The king tells Huggy. "Our forces are preparing for one final attack, while that is happening you will take your ship and fly our daughter off the planet." The queen says explaining her plan. "We've found a planet across the galaxy, teaming with life and far away from any galactic threats. The planet's name is Earth." The king said as he showed Huffy a holographic image of it. "That is where you shall take our daughter so that she has a peaceful life." The king adds.

Huffy nods and salutes, taking on his task with honor. The queen then took the sleeping baby princess and gave her to Huggy. "You are her guardian now, keep her safe." The queen tells Huggy who nods in response. "I won't let you down your majesty." He promises. He takes the princess and exits the room.

Huggy now makes his way to his ship, Which a red angular ship that also had some bulk to it. On the top of the spaceship was the Lexiconian symbol (A red star within a yellow shield). Just as he reaches it the battle alarm ring the the hanger halls, indicating that it was time for battle. Huggy knew he needed to move fast, otherwise he and the princess would never make it off planet.

He quickly lowered the entrance ramp of his ship, securing the infant princess into a cradle and began prepping the ship for takeoff. After a few moments the ship was ready. Huggy bagan to take off from the hanger. Luckily for him, the Dominators were too busy with the rest of the Lexiconian defenses that they slipped by undetected. Unfortunately however, the Dominators' mother ship launched a devastating laser blast that pierced the planet's core which causes the planet to implode.

After clearing the Dominators' blockade Captain Huggyface placed the ship into hyperdrive. After that he took a moment to check on the princess. As he looked into her crib he saw that she was peacefully asleep, which made Huggy sadly smile. "Don't worry little one, I'll keep you safe." He promises the sleeping baby. He then looks over to the suit display cases and looks somberly at the multiple Lexiconian flight suits that will never be worn again.

After 0300 hours in hyperspace (3 hours) Huggy disengages the hyperdrive. As hyperspace fades around the ship, Huggy notices he's arrived at his destination. The planet was a mix of a beautiful cerulean blue and a luscious forest green. "So this is earth. Looks so... Plain." Huggy notes. He then puts the ship into camouflage mode and begins to make a descent to the planet. After going through the atmosphere Huggy managed to find a secure spot to land in the middle of a forest with plenty of trees to conceal the ship.

He quickly lands the ship. After that he powers down the ship, while keeping it in camouflage mode. After he does that, he goes over the princess crib and picks her up and hold her in his arms. As he cradles her in his arm, he presses a button that lowers the ships landing ramp. As Huggy walks down the ramp he sees the bright sun, covering his eyes from it. He then begins to walk around the forest looking for a place to settle. However, as minutes passed it seemed like Huggy was walking in circles as he passed tree after tree. "I hope the rest of the planet doesn't look like this." Huggy grumbled to himself. He the looks at the princess who was still peacefully asleep in his arms. Seeing her innocent and peaceful expression reminded Huffy why he's doing this, and it motivates him to keep moving forward. And so, he does, he keeps moving.

A few minutes later we still see Huggy walking through the forest but now he hears movement through the bushes that causes him to stop. The rustling in the bushes continue and begins to draw closer. Huffy remains on guard in case of an attacker. And then, from out the bushes came two figures. Two tan skinned people with brown hair, one male and one female. 'Must be the planet's inhabitants.' Huggy thought as he got a look at the two. "Look honey, its a monkey wearing a space suit." The male figure said astonished. "Ooh, you're right dear. And look, it's holding a baby, how cute." The female figured said cooing. "Hey there buddy, are you lost?" The male asks Huggy while taking a step forward. But, his advancement made Huggy step back and give him a scowling growl. "Don't worry little guy, I'm not gonna hurt ya." The male assured Bob.

That made Huggy calm down a little but he was still untrusting of the man and his female associate. "You two don't have anywhere to go do you." The female figure said in a 'matter of fact' tone. "Why don't you come home with us?" She offered. Hubby's face then shifted into one of intrigue. These people were offering him a home, free of charge. But Huggy was still weary of a trap from the two. "I promise we're not going to hurt you. And if it'll make you feel better we'll make sure to take care of your infant friend." The male says pointing to the princess. Huggy looked back down to the princess who was still asleep. If these people actually promised to take care of her, how could he turn down their offer.

So with a nod he agrees to their offer. "Great. Welcome to the family. I'm Tim Botsford." The male introduces. "And I'm Sally Botsford." The female introduces. "And now that you two are a part of this family you'll need names as well." Tim states. Both he and Sally think for a moment trying to come up with some names. "Hmm, I got it! How about the name Bob? You like that?" Tim asks Huggy. Seeing how he was living on a new planet, Huggy figured he needs a new name. So, he nods in approval of the name. "Then Bob it is." Tim states in a cheery mood. "Now for this cutie pie." Sally says in reference to the baby. "Let's see, it's clearly a girl... So, how about... Becky." Sally says. "Yeah, Becky! That's a great name. What do you think Bob?" Tim asks Huggy, who nods his head in agreement. "Well then, Bob, Becky, let's go home." Tim states.

Eighteen Years Later/Year:2016

Eighteen years have gone by since Huggy, now Bob came to earth along with Becky. While it was a struggle for the monkey he eventually came to love Earth and all the things it came with it (especially the food). Although, there are still days where he thinks about Lexicon and if there was any survivors of the planet's distruction.

As for Becky, her life on earth was amazing. Because she only a baby during Lexicons destruction she doesn't remember her home world. But despite that she excelled on Earth. She proved to be very smart even as an infant as she solved crossword puzzles easily. By the time she was six she was already reading at a tenth grade level. While in school she always got the best grades, especially during English class as she always wrote the best book reports.

Now at eighteen, Becky is getting ready for the start of her senior year of high school.

BUZZ* *BUZZ*

Becky wakes up to the sound of her alarm clock. As she raises her head from the pillow she looks over and sees that it's 6:45 A.M. "Morning already." Becky says with a groan. She does a light stretch before getting out of bed. She then exits her room and walks into the bathroom. After a fifteen minute shower Becky changes into her clothes, a green sweater with a purple skirt. After that she takes the time to brush her teeth and wash her face. However, when she looked in the mirror to see if she missed anything something strange happened.

Instead of seeing her reflection, she saw into her room. "Huh?" Becky questioned. She then rubbed her eyes and her reflection returned. "Weird." She notes. "Becky, hurry up and stop hogging the bathroom!" Said TJ, Becky's annoying little brother. "Calm down TJ, I'm coming out." Becky replied back to her brother. Becky did love her brother but he can just be the biggest pain in the butt. Becky then exits the bathroom, much to TJ's joy. She then goes back into her room where she sees that Bob is now awake. "Morning Bob." She says to her monkey friend. "Morning Becky." Bob replies. "Can you believe it Bob, first day of senior year!" Becky states excitedly. "Just think, in a couple of months I'll be graduating, and then go to college." Becky states. "Maybe you should focus on getting through the first day." Bob advises.

"Right." Becky replied. She quickly began to pack her supplies into her backpack. But as she does this she then began to hear something. "Help! Help me!" A voice called, much to Becky's confusion. "Did you say something Bob?" She asks as she turned to face the monkey. Bob shook his head no, making Becky even more confused. 'First the mirror and now hearing voices, what is up with me today?' Becky thought. Becky ignored her weird feeling and continued to get ready for school. A couple minutes later she was ready for school.

"Bye mom, bye dad." She tells her parents. "Bye Becky." Her mother tells her. "Have a nice day sweetie." Her dad adds. Becky nods and walks out of the house.

After a twenty minute walk Becky reached her school: Fair City High School. "High school, here I am." Becky states confidently. "Becky!" A voice called out. Becky turns to her left to see her best friend Violet running up to her. Like her, Violet is also an eighteen year old. She has a light skin color, blond hair and wore a purple sweater with a blue overall skirt over it. "Hey Violet. You ready for our first day as seniors?" Becky asks.

"You bet. I've been so excited. After this year we'll finally be seen as adults." Violet replied feeling excited. "Not mention we'll be going to college soon." Becky adds. "Ooh, I hope I get into that art school, some of the best artists have gone there." Violet mentions. Becky then realize something and starts to look around. "Hey, where's Scoops?" Becky asks. "Oh, he's already here. Mentioned something about finishing a big story." Violet tells her. "Then we better head inside then." Becky says.

Violet nods and the two girls enter the school. Walking through the halls they soon find the student news room and enter. Once inside they find their friend Scoops sitting at a desk currently focus on writing a story. "Hey Scoops." Violet greeted. "Hey VI. Hi Becky." Scoops greeted his friends. "What are you up to?" Becky asks. "Just this story about the school's football team and their chances to win this year's championship." Scoops explains. "By the way Becky, what's another word for talented?" Scoops asks. "Skilled." Becky quickly replied. "How come you're so good with words?" Violet asks. "Don't know, I just am. I've always been." Becky says.

"No kidding, you've won the last three school spelling B's." Scoops says in a droll tone. "What can I say, I'm that good." Becky retorts in a somewhat cocky tone. Just then the bell started to ring, indicating it was time for class. "We better hurry on to class, don't want to be late on our first day." Becky says. Scoops and Violet nod and the three head off to class.

So far Becky's day had gone normally. Seeing that it was the first day all she had to do was introductions with her new teachers as well as some ice breakers. However, everything changed when she went to gym class. Because it was the first day the gym teacher let the students play dodge ball. Becky wasn't much of an athlete though, so this news made her frown knowing she had to participate. But to her surprise, she didn't get knocked out immediately. She had dodged the few balls that came her way. She even mange to catch one aimed at her face.

But when she threw one at another student, not only did it hit them, but it hit them with such force that it sent them flying into the wall. Becky was stunned. 'How did I do that?' She thought in horror. Everyone eyes then shifted to her, having the same thought in their heads. Feeling embarrassed and horrified by her actions she ran out of the gym as fast as she could. However, what she didn't realize is that she was running so fast that she became a blur. She zoomed through the halls, creating a gust of wind until she eventually was outside the school.

However, Becky kept running. She wasn't even paying attention to her surroundings. That was until she heard the horn of a semi truck. She looked up to see the truck coming straight for her. In a panic she jumped, and when she did she was high in the air. And even weirder, she wasn't coming back down. "Wah, what's happening to me?" Becky cries out in confusion and fear. She continues to float in the air until gingerly landing in the park. "Seriously, what is up with me today!?" Becky questioned as she looked at herself. "First it was me seeing things, then I was hearing stuff, then I almost sent someone flying through a wall, then I'm super fast and now I can fly?!" Becky states in disbelief at her abilities. "I need to figure out what these powers are." Becky states, as she turns to rush home.

WHOOSH*

Becky arrives home in a flash thanks to her speed. In fact, she moved so fast that her dad didn't even notice her coming through the door. As Becky enters her room she's noticed by Bob. "Becky?" The monkey says, surprised to see her home from school so early. "Oh my gosh, Bob! You won't believe what's been happening to me! I feel like I'm going crazy, all these weird things keep happening!" Becky says hyperventilating. Bob places his hand on Becky's arm in an attempt to calm her down and it does the trick as Becky starts to take slow breaths.

"Sorry about freaking out, it just that... A lot has happened to me in the last few minutes." Becky tells her monkey friend. "It's okay. Just tell me what's wrong." He tells Becky. Becky nods and begins to explain what happened. "Well, it began this morning when I was in the bathroom. I was somehow able to see not only through the mirror but through the wall into the my room. Then, I started hearing a random voice call out for help. Then while I was at School during gym, suddenly my reflexes are better than ever and apparently I'm strong enough to nearly send a kid flying through a wall." Becky tells Bob, who face contorts into a solemn expression.

"That's not even the worst of it though Bob. After that I just ran. And I ran so fast that I zoomed out of the school and out on the street, and just as I noticed it a truck came out of nowhere and was about to hit me. But I jumped and suddenly started flying." Becky finishes explaining. Bob then began thinking. 'Could it be? It must be, its the only explanation.' The monkey thinks. "I don't know what to do Bob, I've gone from normal girl to freak within a day, and I don't even know how." Becky says feeling sad by her present predicament. Bob, seeing this decides that it's now time to tell Becky the truth.

He grabs Becky by the arm at points to the window. " The window? What about it?" Becky asks, confused on what her monkey friend wanted. Bob goes over to the window, opens it and exits the house through it. He then makes a motion for Becky to follow him. "Oh, you want me to follow you." Becky says catching on. Becky follows suit and begins following Bob.

Minutes later we find Becky and Bob in the woods as the two walk between trees. "Uh, Bob? I don't think a nature walk is going to help me." Becky dryly comment. However, the monkey ignored her and continued to move forward, which made Becky a bit nervous. Bob has never acted like this before. "Okay, seriously Bob, what is this about!? I'm starting to feel timorous!" Becky claims as?her nerves start to get the better of her.

Just then then two found their way out from the trees and into a clearing. But what caught Becky's eye was the huge spaceship in the middle of the clearing. "A spaceship?!" Becky exclaims in disbelief. "Not only that but it appears to be not of this world!" Becky analyze/geeks out over. "This is what we're here for." Bob says, which immediately make Becky gasps in surprise. "You knew this was here? How?" Becky asks Bob. Bob simply walks over to the spaceship with Becky close behind. Once at the ship Bob presses a button on the ship's side which opens its landing hatch. "Woah! How'd you do that?" Becky asks, taken aback by this.

"This way." Bob says as he enters the spaceship. Becky hesitantly follows. As Becky enters the ship she is cautious for any booby traps. She also notices the display cases inside the ship, each contain what appeared to be a modified flight suit. She then notices Bob's expression and saw how it looked reminiscent. "Seriously Bob, how do you know about this place? And I want a real answer!" Becky demanded. Bob turned to the control panel and pressed a red button. The button activated a hologram that appeared right behind Becky, as she turns to look at it.

The hologram showed a weirdly dressed man and woman. "Hello. If your watching this, it means that the worse has come to pass... Lexicon has fallen." The man spoke. "We had hoped that things would be different." The woman says with a sense of sadness. "The planet we're sending you to is a place called earth. A relatively peaceful planet with a harmless species. Hopefully, you'll be able to prosper there." The man says with a hint of optimism. "The sun that this planet orbits has special properties, one's that will grant you special powers in case you need to defend yourself." The woman states. "And as a extra safety precaution we're sending captain Huggyface with you. He will be your guardian and I trust him to keep you safe." The man says as the hologram then showed an image of Bob, which greatly stunned Becky. But what surprised Becky even more is when the hologram then showed an image of her as a baby. "Remember daughter, you are our race's last hope for prosperity. And never forget that we love you." The man says. The hologram then fades. Both Becky and Bob stood there in silence as Becky tries to process this revelation.

"You knew?" Becky says to Bob, her voice no louder than a whisper. Bob however, didn't respond. "You knew!" Becky says, her voice filled with rage. "All this time, I thought I was a normal girl. But instead I'm a freak!" Becky says as she looks at herself in disgust. For the first time in her life it felt like she didn't know herself. She didn't feel human at all. "Becky, you're not a freak." Bob insisted. "Why should I believe you? You been keeping this from me for years!" Becky says feeling hurt and betrayed. "You were only a baby, I was trying to protect you." Bob defends. "Protect me?! This is what you call protection!" Becky shouts as her eyes glow red and fires out lasers that nearly takes Bob's head off but luckily he ducked under it.

"Great, just great! I have laser eyes now!" Becky says as began to slump to the floor and sulk. Bob felt sad for Becky. In a way he could relate. He walks over to her and places a hand on her shoulder. "Let me help you control your powers. Let me show you that you aren't a monster." Bob suggests to her. "Can you really help me?" Becky skeptically questions. "I know I can." Bob says with a confident smile.

Two months later

Two months have passed after Becky discovered that she is an alien. While it was a HUGE adjustment in her life she decided to make the most of it. The first part of that was to learn more about her race. Bob had told her that she came from a planet named Lexicon and that her parents were king and queen. Bob had also told her that her people were primarily galactic explorers, and expert scientist/inventors, as well as they're unique skill with words. Bob then explained how Lexicon was attacked by a race called the Dominators and they wipe them out. Becky was sad learning she was the last of her kind but she quickly made peace of it.

The next step in adjusting was to control her powers. Becky was more unsure on that front but Bob assured her that she could handle it. First up was her super vision, she learned that if she concentrate hard enough she could see through any surface. Next was her super hearing. Which was also linked with her concentration. When she concentrated hard enough she could hear anything five miles away. Next came her flight/super speed. She found that in order to fly, all she had to do was think she was as light as a feather. Once she got the hang of that she was able to fly at speeds just under Mach 1. Then came her super strength, which was simply straight forward. Becky found out she could lift over 500,000 Ib's. And finally, her laser vision. One of her most dangerous powers and was the most tricky to master as it tied to her emotions, mostly if Becky feeling distraught or angry. But more and more practice she managed to control it with little to no problems.

We now cut to Becky as she's inside the spaceship's mini gym as she's lifting over 5000 pounds. "97... 98... 99... 100." Becky exclaims as she finishes her set. Just as she sets the bar back on the rack Bob enters the room. "Oh, hey Bob." Becky greets the monkey. "Hi Becky. How's the workout?" Bob asks. "Great. I feel like I'm getting stronger everyday." Becky says getting Bob to smile. "Thanks again for helping me Bob, I feel so much better." Becky tells him. Bob simply nods in response, appreciative of the complement. Suddenly, an alarm started sounding off inside the ship. "Uh Bob, what's that?" Becky says becoming a bit concern. "Distress signal." Bob answers as he begins to run towards the cockpit. "Distress signal!" Becky says alarmed as she begins to follow Bob.

Once Becky entered the cockpit she sees Bob pressing certain buttons on the dashboard. "Bob!? What's happening!?" Becky asks, her concern growing. "The ship picked up a distress signal coming from a plane. One of it engines has failed and it's about to crash into the city." Bob tells Becky, the monkey's voice filled with seriousness. "Oh no!" Becky says, both shocked and worried over the news. "Is anyone doing anything?" Becky questions. "There's nothing anyone can do..." Bob began before a thought occured to him. "... Except for you." He says to Becky. "What?" Becky says, confused on what Bob meant. "You can help those people Becky!" Bob tells her. "Are you insane!? I can't do anything!" Becky says, severely lacking in self confidence. "You can Becky. You've been training to control your powers and its now time to put that training to use. Otherwise hundreds of people will die." Bob says with a solemn tone.

Upon hearing how people would die if she didn't help Becky at that moment came to a realization. She NEEDED to do something, she HAD to do something. "Okay, I'll do it." Becky tells Bob, her voice sounding determined. "Good. Now if we're gonna do this we'll need these." Bob says as he points to the display cases. One case held Bob's old flight suit. The other held a cherry red suit with scarlet red gloves, helmet and boots, a yellow-orange cape and finally a red star inside a yellow shield. The suit also had yellow stripes at the arms and legs and it also came with a mask. "Can't have anyone recognizing us." Bob tells Becky, who nods in response.

We now cut to see Becky flying through the air with Bob on her shoulder, both dawning their costumes. "How far away is this plane again?" Becky asks Bob. "Should be close by." Bob replies. And on cue, the plane came into Becky's view. "There it is, now what?" Becky asks, not exactly sure on the plan. "We've got to direct it to a safe place to land." Bob instructed. "Got it." Becky responded.

She then begins to fly towards the plane, positioning herself and Bob just below the nose of the plane. She then used her strength and pushed up against the plane. Thanks to that the plane avoided any building it could potentially crash into. "That takes care of step one." Becky says, feeling proud of herself thus far. "Here come the hard part, trying to land this bird." Bob comments. "Shouldn't be so hard for a former pilot." Becky joked, although, Bob didn't find it as funny as he deadpanned. Becky then looked around for a safe place to land and saw that there was hardly anyone in the park. "There!" She exclaimed as she flew to atop the nose of the plane and began to push down, angling towards the park. Once that was done, all that left to do was slow the plane's momentum, otherwise the hardest part. "Time for all that weight lifting to pay off." Becky mumbles to herself. She then flew herself directly in front of the nose of the plane and began pushing against it. It did slow the plane down but not as much as she would of like, the plane was still going to fast. The plane then skid across the park grounds, but it did allow Becky moment to plant her feet.

Now with something to brace herself, Becky began pushing against the plane's momentum again, this time greatly slowing it down until the plane came to a complete stop. "Phew, I did it." Becky says, a bit tired.

*CLAP* *CLAP* *CHEER* *CLAP* *CLAP*

Becky and Bob look around to see multiple people, cheering for thier heroic action. Both were surprised to not only get spotted by people but also to get admiration. "You were awesome!" Becky turned to see that the voice belong to her friend Scoops. "Oh, uh thanks." Becky says nervously. "Act natural." Bob tells her. " That was simply the most incredible thing I've ever seen. You save all those people. Who are you? How'd you do that? And what's another word to describe how amazing you are?" Scoops rapidly asks, his last question getting Becky to lightly blush. "Let me answer your last question first. Another word for amazing is sensational. As for your second question, I have super strength. And lastly for my name, its..." Becky then looks at Bob for help answering the question. "WordGirl." He whispers to her. "WordGirl? Y-Yeah, my name is WordGirl." Becky states.

"And who's your little monkey sidekick?" Scoops asks, which makes Bob a bit mad with the notion of him being a sidekick. "He's more of a partner, and his name is... Huggy... Captain Huggyface." Becky answers. "WordGirl and Captain Huggyface." Scoops repeat as he writes it down. "Anyway, we better get going, bye S- I mean citizen." Becky says before flying off.

"Wow, a real life superhero!" Scoops says in amazement as he watches her fly away. "As for Becky she and Bob have a sense of bewilderment. "I guess we're heroes now." Becky says, feeling neutral about the current situation. "I guess so." Bob responds sharing Becky's neutrality.

A/N: And that's the end of chapter 1 (dear god this took way to long to finish). Becky's journey has only just begun, what threats will she encounter next time? Find out in chapter 2.

A/N: Oh, and in case your wondering, the Dominators from earlier in the chapter are the same ones from Arrowverse and they will return for this story and other projects I'm doing.
