Chapter 11: Tatsu Yamashiro AKA Katana

NAME: Tatsu Yamashiro AKA Katana

For my story, I used most of the Arrowverse Tatsu, but I did include some of the DCU Tatsu. I prefer that she inherited Soultaker rather than stole it from her brother-in-law. Tatsu has always seemed very honorable to me. She has also been trained from a young age to wield the katana. Her heritage. She could not do this if she had stolen the blade.

ORIGIN:

Tatsu married Maseo and they lived in Japan until Maseo was recruited into ARGUS. Maseo had a deal with Waller to deal with Chien Na Wei before he would be able to return to Japan. Tatsu resents Waller and her restrictions on her family.

Tatsu does not know about Maseo working with the League to find Chien Na Wei and the missing Omega virus. She keeps her son close to protect him while they are in China. This protection is justified when Chien Na Wei attempts to kill Tatsu. She fails.

Tatsu later becomes a known member of the Crescent Order. This order is known to guard the Lotus, a special formula that assists those who rise from the Lazarus Pit with bloodlust. She has been trained to be deadly with her katana. She assumed the name Katana when fighting for the Order. The Crescent Order serves only good. The League is aware of this organization and does not feel threatened by it disturbing the balance as HIVE will.

FAMILY:

Tatsu Yamashiro is the wife of Maseo and the mother of Akio.

Tatsu was briefly courted by Takeo. She found him charming, but dark. She preferred his brother Maseo. She later learned that Takeo had taken up with the Yakuza. She said that is where his darkness comes.

Her family is the keeper of the katana, Soultaker. She is the only descendant of her family line to inherit the blade.

MOTIVATION:

Tatsu is strongly motivated by order and peace. She holds the safety of her family above all else because she cannot bring peace if she does not know it. She only believes in the good things. She wanted to have only good flourish in the world.

PERSONALITY

Tatsu is a passionate person with a fiery personality. She can bring order and peace, but she is easily able to ignite a passion in someone as well. Tatsu is incredibly loyal. When she decides that a person is worthy of her loyalty, they gain her loyalty for her lifetime.

NOTES:

I like Tatsu as a character, but I don't think I will be able to do much with her in my story. I will just have a little bit in Hong Kong. But who knows where the character will end up?

Crescent Order - A mysterious organization in Japan used to protect the Lotus. An elixir that can counteract the effects of the Lazarus Pit.
Soultaker - A magical katana blade that will take the soul of the person slain by the katana. This was to ensure that the souls of the evil ones would never be freed.
