So, I finished playing Spider-Man: Miles Morales video game and I was worried there would be some issues with it, such as drama, relationships, annoying characters and such but frankly, even though it was shorter than the first Spider-Man 2018 game from Insomniac Games, overall I enjoyed it and it handled the dynamic between Miles and his friend Ganke like how MCU should've handled the dynamic between Peter and Ned, since, Ned only cared for popularity and sense of importance as Spider-Man's best friend and do not get me started on No Way Home, though I felt like the game should have explored the dynamic and mentor/student relationship between Peter and Miles a bit more.

Takes place post-story in Spider-Man: Miles Morales game.

Disclaimer: I do not own Spider-Man.

After cutting a deal to flip on Simon Krieger, Roxxon's head of R&D department, Aaron Davis, a.k.a. The Prowler was imprisoned in the Raft due to his criminal career as a thief-for-hire Prowler but he had a chance for reduced sentence. Aaron was in the visitor's booth, talking with his nephew Miles through the glass, with phones as they smiled at each other.

"I've seen the news, kiddo. I'm proud of you, Miles. And your Dad would've been too, if he could see you." Aaron said.

"Thanks, Uncle Aaron." Miles said, looking at him sadly.

"I know what you're thinking, kid, but don't blame yourself. You were right. Never turn your back when people need you." Aaron said and Miles smiled, appreciating that at the end Aaron helped save people of Harlem.

"You know, after what you did for me, Mom, Ganke and everyone, I think Dad would've been proud of you too." Miles said as they pressed their hands onto the glass.

"Look, Miles, I know I have a long way to go… but I hope it's not too late for me to make things right with you and your Mom." Aaron said.

"Well, as far as I'm concerned, flipping on Krieger and saving Harlem was a good start." Miles said with a smile, though Aaron could still tell something was bothering him and he knew exactly what it was.

"I hope you don't blame me for what happened to her. You have to know I never wanted anything to happen to either one of you." Aaron said.

"I don't blame you for Phin, Uncle Aaron. You did what you thought you had to do to protect me. And, well, I didn't really have much of a choice with her and I tried to reach her. A good friend once told me that blaming myself isn't the answer, especially when you're trying to make the best out of a bad situation." Miles said, feeling guilty for lying to Phin and keeping his identity a secret from her and using her to discover her intentions as the Tinkerer.

"I know I have a long way to go, kid… but I hope you're willing to meet me halfway one day." Aaron said hopefully.

"Honestly… I'm not sure yet. But I'm willing to try." Miles said as he and Aaron shared one last smile before Miles hung up and left the booth.

In the cemetery of Trinity Church Miles placed the flowers at the base of the gravestones of Phin and Rick Masons as Miles placed his hand on Phin's gravestone sadly.

"I wish things had gone down differently. And I'm sorry I lied to you. I wish I'd told you the truth from the start." Miles said as he remembered when she almost killed Rhino due to her revenge against Roxxon blinding her, with Rhino on Roxxon's payroll. "Though would you have listened to me? I know you didn't mean to kill innocent people and at the end you did the right thing but…"

Miles sighed, a stray tear rolling down his cheek.

"Sometimes there's no easy way."

Miles sensed someone approach before he felt a hand on his shoulder, when he turned around, got up and smiled. "Peter."

"Hey." Peter said as they laughed and hugged each other before pulling away. "I saw the news on my flight from Symkaria to New York and the rumors I've heard in Harlem kind of helped me put it together."

"Yeah…" Miles said, nodding sadly.

"Your Dad would've been proud of you." Peter said, holding Miles's shoulder. "And as someone who's been there, don't blame yourself. You did what you thought was right with Phin. Sometimes, we try to make the best out of a bad situation and it's not enough."

"I shouldn't have lied to her. She also thought I was lying when I tried to warn her that blowing Nuform up wouldn't destroy only Roxxon Plaza but Harlem too." Miles sighed.

"She was hellbent on revenge. Do you think truth would've mattered?" Peter asked.

"Aaron said I should go undercover and see what the Underground was up to." Miles explained. "When she found out I lied and who I was, it pushed her over the edge and she stopped listening to me when I tried to warn her about—"

"Stop. Dwelling on what could've been never helps, trust me." Peter interrupted. "But at the end you got through to her. You helped her do the right thing and save Harlem."

"But too late." Miles sighed. "I was ready to give up my life to stop Nuform and save Harlem. He wiped his tears. "She didn't have to die, Peter. She saved me."

"Maybe. But trust me, beating yourself up is not the answer. You got through to her eventually. Don't make her sacrifice be for nothing. You want to do right by Phin? She gave up her life to save you and Harlem. Honor that by what Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man would do." Peter said.

Miles looked Peter in the eye and realized he was right. Despite everything, Phin was still his friend and she didn't really want to hurt him and she still cared about him, despite that he had used her and lied to her to infiltrate the Underground and she didn't want to hurt innocent people, only to ruin Roxxon for them killing her brother. Miles smiled at Peter, happy that he was still there for Miles, first after losing his father, now after losing his childhood friend who had lost her way but at the end did the right thing at the cost of her life.

Peter and Miles later swung around the city in their suits, continuing their vigilante mission to protect New York as Spider-Men.

Overall I enjoyed the game but I wish that they had explored Peter's and Miles's mentorship relationship a bit more.

So, what do you guys think?

Please review and let me know if you have enjoyed this one-shot.
