The past six hours have been hell. The two of them have been excited to meet their daughter for the past nine months and today was the day but right now Willow was going through labor and while Hunter was excited, he was also still filled with worry. Willow is the strongest person he's ever met. She was basically unbreakable but she was in so much pain right now, he wanted to be by her side more than anything but he couldn't. All he could do was sit in the waiting room and just wait.
He couldn't sit down for too long, his body started moving on its own. He started fidgeting with fingernails and pacing to do something with the extra energy he had. After what felt like an eternity of waiting, the nurse finally came out to the waiting room. "Mr. Park, are you ready to meet your daughter?"
"Yes!" He didn't mean to shout but he wanted nothing more than to just dash over and be there at this moment but that would probably only create problems.
He followed the nurse and walked into the room. Willow was currently getting some well deserved rest. He walked over to the chair closest to her and sat down. Soon the nurse came back with their daughter, now cleaned and swaddled in blankets. "Here's your daughter, Mr. Park."
He was desperate to hold her in that instant but he had to hold onto her slowly. Once she was in his arms, he felt a wave of joy crash over him. Washing away all previous feelings of worry.
His daughter, Ivy Park. To describe how she looked in one word, she looked like a potato. She was tiny, a few dark strands of dark hair on her head, her swollen eyes were shut. She was perfect. Full of potential.
She was so lovely. Less than a minute old, didn't know a single word, but she already captured his heart. He couldn't describe his love but he was lucky to have her in his life.
He cradled her closer to his heart. He was going to be the father that she deserved. She would be able to study whatever magic she wanted, go outside whenever she wanted, play with whoever wanted (within reason of course). More importantly, she would be completely free from Belos.
She was so precious. His darling daughter, Ivy Park.
