Entering Ichigo's bedroom felt like a surreal experience to Kurama. One that he wasn't sure how to feel about. After all, he had never been in a girl's bedroom before. Not even when he'd been in High School, and he'd been asked out on dates frequently.

And since this was a new experience for him, he wasn't very sure how to behave, though he was certain that acting out or like a pervert wouldn't end well for him.

Though he did take a few moments to look around curiously because he had been wondering what sort of room she had. And he had to say, he was just a little bit disappointed at the lack of personal touches that her room didn't have.

What she did have was a bed, a dresser, and a floor length mirror attached to the wall and nothing else. There were no pictures of her family or friends, no pictures of Yuki, not even any stuffed animals from her childhood.

It was weird.

But since she was still unpacking her things, perhaps she was saving her personal effects, like pictures and decorations for last?

The second that they were inside of the room she directed him to seat himself on her bed while she searched for the clothing that she wanted him to look over. So, while she was doing that, he contented himself with simply watching her and asking her some occasional questions here and there to see what sort of arrangements he should make for their date.

He already knew that Ichigo wasn't a picky eater, so that was at least out of the way. No- what he wondered about was what sort of music and atmosphere she may appreciate more.

It wasn't as if he disliked clubbing, per se. After all, he went out with Yusuke and the others often enough to them whenever he and the others wanted to go out dancing themselves.

And many of the clubs in the city were decent enough.

No- the only thing that he objected to really was the constant crush of bodies. Strangers grinding on strangers, and the fact that some of them got a bit too handsy and took liberties that they had no right to take. That and he feared that he may rip someone's head off if he took Ichigo to one of those places and someone attempted to take her from him.

And he couldn't have that.

So, for their date he wanted something much quieter and private. More intimate. He knew of a few places that were like that, though he wasn't sure if she would like ballroom dancing.

Which is why he asked her what she would like.

Luckily, his chosen a very easy person to please and she didn't seem to mind it if they went ballroom dancing or not. Though he felt that maybe they should save the ballroom dancing for a more formal event. So, in the end, he wound up deciding to take her to one of the nicer, more upscale clubs in the city to dance.

And since that was what he decided on, it meant improvising his plans a bit.

When Ichigo finally found the outfits that she'd been looking for, she pulled them out of her closet and laid them out for him to see.

He almost groaned upon seeing the first two since they were very formal dresses. One was black, with a scooped neckline with a long skirt that had a slit up one side of it.

It was nice, but far too sexy for their first date. Though he didn't doubt that he would be masturbating to fantasies of her wearing it.

The second one was a deep navy-blue colored dress that had a halter style top. It was backless and also had a long, floor length skirt, though this one didn't have a slit in it, it was still very nice.

The next couple of outfits that he looked at were almost too much for his heart to handle.

One was a silvery white dress with a deep V neckline that reached almost to her navel, and had small chains attached to the front just to keep it from falling open.

He was tempted to tell her to let him keep it safe for her. But she would probably ask him why and then he'd have to explain that he planned to hide it in his home somewhere so that no one else could ever see her in it but him since the only other alternative he could think of was to destroy it.

But that would be a waste of a very nice and beautiful dress that he desperately wanted to see her wear at some point.

Thankfully he had enough restraint to keep his mouth shut or he may have gotten himself kicked out of her apartment right then and there. So instead, he simply moved on to the next outfit.

The next dress was a lovely indigo vintage style dress with some beadwork, short sleeves, and a sweetheart neckline. It's skirt also wasn't nearly as long as the other dresses skirts. In fact, this one would probably fall just to her knees instead of the floor like the others.

It was very nice dress and wouldn't limit her ability to move like the others would and in the end, he felt that it would serve as a better date dress than the others. Especially since it wouldn't clash with her new hair and eye colors.

Picking it up, he held it out to her and waited for her to take it from him as he said, "I think this one will do nicely."

She nodded her head in agreement as he told her that he would be back around six p.m. to pick her up for their evening out and then left to make the arrangements necessary.

It only took him thirty minutes to make all of the arrangements. And after that, all he had to do was wait until six p.m. to roll around. Which under normal circumstances would have been fairly easy for him, after all, he was a patient man. Usually anyways.

But right then, he was anxious for the time to come. So much so that he couldn't even manage to sit still for more than a few seconds.

He simply had too much time to pass before the date and he was filled with nothing but and excessive amount of nervous energy right then. Still, he did try to keep himself occupied.

It simply wasn't as easy as it normally was.

He worked in his garden to grow and collect a nice bouquet of flowers to give to Ichigo when he picked her up. He cleaned his nice and already tidy apartment, nine times in a row. And once he finished, he decided that his carpeting wasn't nearly clean enough and went ahead and vacuumed it until it started to lose too much thread.

Which now led to him needing to replace it with a new and hopefully less threadbare carpet.

He rearranged the furniture in his entire apartment. But didn't like how he'd arranged it, so he just wound up putting it back and then repeated the process again and again, five times in a row before he finally stopped.

Then he tried to sit down and read something but couldn't focus long enough to get past the first page. And things kept going like that for the rest of his day until he was so tied up in knots that by the time five p.m. finally rolled around, he had started to bang his head against his coffee table just to feel like he'd accomplished something in an effort to keep himself busy.

Once five o five finally rolled around, he had finally stopped banging his head on the table and gotten up to go and get ready for his date. But since he was usually pretty good with time management, he was changed and ready in less time than he had expected to be. And with some time to spare before six, he simply couldn't take anymore.

He grabbed his keys, wallet, the bouquet of flowers and headed up to Ichigo's apartment to wait on her to get ready.

Ichigo had made the mistake of panicking a few hours earlier and calling Rukia for help. And while that wasn't usually a mistake of any kind... The fact that Rukia had then called several of their mutual friends to come to her home and help her to, was.

Of all of the things that Ichigo really didn't need today, it was a visit from Rangiku, Soi-fon, Rukia, Renji, and Yoruichi. Though she knew from personal experience that Yoruichi was at least useful as far as clothing and makeup went.

The others though...were not.

First of all, the second that they had all walked through her door, they had started exploring. Then they had demanded tea and an explanation.

Which had been embarrassing to say the least since Ichigo had then had to sit down with all of them and inform them that she was being courted by a demon and had been asked to go out on a date with him. Much of the information wasn't minded much by them. After all, Soul Reapers existed on the same plane as demons.

In fact, one of their own captains was a demon. Sajin Komamura was a large wolf demon and the beloved captain of the seventh division of the thirteen court guard squads. And since Sajin was a very likeable and loyal guy then Ichigo decided to emphasis to them just how likeable her demon was.

Which was a good thing she supposed since some of them had seemed a bit worried about her being courted by a demon to begin with. But by the time that she finished telling them all about him, all of them but one was really excited and happy for her.

Soi-fon, as it turned out, was an old school racist.

Which was...upsetting for Ichigo to find out since she had been hoping that after all these years of knowing one another might have loosened the woman up a bit more than she already was. But it hadn't and after Soi-fon had said a few scathing words about Ichigo's demon, she had gotten up and left.

Probably to go tell the new Captain-Commander of her latest scandal.

Honestly if it wasn't for the fact that Renji had grabbed her to keep her from going after the other woman, she would probably be in prison again. And that was no way to get ready for a date.

So, she dropped the matter and shoved it to the back of her mind and let Yoruichi, Rukia, and Rangiku take her back to her bedroom to help her get ready.

She wasn't sure exactly how long the women spent pushing her around and forcing her to sit down on her bed so that they could work on her hair and face simultaneously- but by the time five fifty-seven rolled around, she'd finally had enough.

She pushed the one working on her makeup aside, and then stood up to go and put her dress on, barely paying any attention to the women's whines.

She dressed quickly since she was short on time now and didn't really bother to even check her appearance in the mirror since she trusted the three women not to make her look like a troll, before grabbing a beaded freshwater pearl necklace, bracelet and pair of matching earrings, a pair of matching flats, and a small purse.

After which she then made her way towards her door because she could hear Renji answering a knock and worried that he may embarrass she and her date both.

Turned out that she was right to be concerned.

Not only did Renji let her date in, but he also introduced himself as her older brother. Which seemed to startle her demon considerably since he hadn't been expecting to come face to face with any of her relatives. And his distracted state also gave Renji an opening to call out to the other women that her date was there, and they should come and check him out before she got to him and escaped.

Needless to say, the three other women beat her to the living room Which was just...crazy considering that she had been more of a third of the way down the hall when they had all run by her to see her demon for themselves while she groaned miserably.

They were going to put the poor guy through the wringer before she got him away from them. She just knew it.
