Author's Note: Hey guys, this is my first time ever writing for Anime since besides Cartoons and Disney, it's one of my favorite things in the world and I love it so much. And as you can tell, two of my favorite anime series are Soul Eater and Fairy Tail. I find them to be both interesting and fascinating stories and I even love the characters they have! ^^ But just a little side note and warning, since this is my first time writing for both shows, I may make a few continuity errors since I'm planning to have this story take place after Medusa's death and in between the Sub-Zero Emperor Lyon and Phantom Lord arcs. However, I still wish to do my best on it and if you wish to give me some advice on how to write more of this, please review and give me tips.

Okay, that's all. Enjoy!

Chapter 1: A New Threat

It was a quiet, peaceful day at DWMA. The sun was out, the sky was clear and the best of all, there were no lessons being taught today. Everyone was relaxing, having such a wonderful day; the people that were the most excited about this day were meisters Maka Albarn, Death the Kid, and Black Star, and their weapon companions, Soul Eater Evans, Liz and Patti Thompson, and even Tsubaki Nakatsukasa as well as Crona, their reformed meister friend who suffered the abuse of Medusa but after her death, they were then taken in by Maka and became part of DWMA; which made them a bit happy to see how kind and caring the pigtailed blonde was to them after being free from the evil snake witch.

So with all that said, all eight friends were just spending the day relaxing.

"Isn't this day just amazing," Death the Kid, Lord Death's son began to speak. "Just the eight of us, relaxing without no studies or lessons today."

"You sure got that right, Fancy Boy," Soul answered him with his casual voice as he added some humor on Kid's nickname for him.

"This is probably one of the best days anyone can have," Liz added with delight in her voice and ending it with a grin. Tsubaki giggled "I never knew how days can be this great when you're relaxing."

"Totally," Tsubaki's meister, Black Star, followed with a grin as well. "I mean, with days like these, nothing can go wrong." Maka the meister of Soul however, wasn't too fond of the arrogant comment of the blue haired student. "I wouldn't be too sure about that, Black Star." All of Maka's friends began to eye her in wonder.

"What makes you say that, Maka?" Crona nervously asked.

"It's you know how we are, there's always going to be some trouble happening here." The headstrong meister answered. Patti, Liz's young sister jumped in. "But Maka, no trouble has happened so far. Besides, if trouble does occur, wouldn't Lord Death inform us?"

"While true, you still don't know what will happen while we're here."

Soul just rolled his eyes, "Oh lighten up, Maka, nothing bad is going to happen today, and Patti's right, if something is up, Lord Death will tell us." Maka just scowled.

"Fine, but I'm just saying. I'm not hating today or anything, I'm just pointing out the possibility."

"And that's good Maka, you sure do know when something bad will happen; that's what makes you a good friend." Crona smiled sweetly which made their friend blush. Eventually though, all eight of them went back to relaxing without worrying about anything. Suddenly, Crona now became the one to feel cautious.

"What was that," The pink-haired child of Medusa gasped.

"What was what," asked Patti with confusion.

"I felt something,"

"It was probably just a bug or something," Soul pointed out.

"No, it felt like a demon or something," Crona gasped. Everyone now felt a little concerned.

"A demon or maybe a witch," Maka questioned her friend. Crona just squirmed "Something like that."

"Calm down Crona, we'll see what's wrong." Tsubaki said.

"Yeah, let's just see when Kid's dad calls us; take it away Maka." Liz ordered in which Maka did so. She took out a mirror she had in her pocket and with a surprise, Lord Death himself had contacted her on time.

"Ah Maka, I knew I would reach you in time." The DWMA's headmaster delighted her.

"We figured that too, Lord Death," Maka replied. "What seems to be the problem?"

"I'm not quite sure, but there seems to be a new creature somewhere on the loose," Lord Death informed. "No one seems to have identified this type of creature so far, not even Professor Stein."

"Well here's a hint, Crona felt something a minute ago, and guessed that it could be a demon or a witch." Maka told him.

"Quite possible, but so far we have no answers yet."

Kid then began to talk to his father. "Well then, what should we do, father?"

"My only advice so far is to keep watch of whatever is going on," Kid's father explained, "We don't know what this creature can do, but we do know that it will most likely be dangerous." The eight students nodded.

"We will, Lord Death." Maka feedbacked with determination.

"Alright, contact me if you have any information." Lord Death then signed off, leaving Maka now in charge.

"Okay everyone, you heard what the headmaster said, we must keep watch for this creature."

Black Star groaned, "Ugh, do we have to, we were having a relaxing day."

Maka hit him upside the head, making the arrogant yelp in pain.

"Don't be stupid, Black Star, of course we have to. It's our job to defeat whatever is out there, especially if it causes harm to the academy. Now come on, we can't waste time." Everyone nodded at Maka and went off to do their job.

It was a bright day at the guild, Fairy Tail. Everyone who was part of the guild was either happy by relaxing at the bar with Cana serving them drinks for them to enjoy or just having fun by playing games that were available for them to enjoy.

Natsu Dragneel was enjoying himself by eating some fish that he and his best friend, Happy caught earlier.

"Man," Natsu chewed and swallowed his food happily. "Doesn't it feel great to finally have a break from a job for once?"

Happy consumed his food before answering with a big smile on his face. "Totally agree, Natsu!" The duo high fived one another before being joined by their fellow guild member and close friend, Lucy Heartfilia; who was also spotting a light smile on her face as well.

"Hey you two, did I miss anything?" The blonde celestial wizard asked

"Oh hey Lucy," Natsu took another bite before swallowing again.

"Nothing much, just having some fresh fish Happy and I caught." The pink-haired guild member then handed his ally a plate full of various fish of all kinds.

"What some," he asked confidently; although Lucy could only make a bit of a disgusted face.

"Uh, no thanks; I kinda already ate on the way here." The blonde nervously answered.

"That's weird Lucy," Happy peeped up. "Usually you eat fish."

"Yeah, but not always." Lucy replied back. "Besides, I'm good. Honest." Natsu and Happy just eyed each other and shrugged it off.

"Okay, whatever floats your boat." The dragon slayer concluded and went on to eat more along with his exceed partner.

It's not that Lucy didn't want to eat with Natsu and Happy or had anything against them; in fact, she loved them both equally. Granted at times, both boys drove her crazy whenever it came to either missions or jobs, or just when they were being goofballs, but at the same time, Lucy loved them. Both Natsu and Happy were like brothers to her.

"I don't have a problem with either Natsu or Happy," Lucy said to herself as she sat down at a counter. "In fact, I love them both so much." The blonde blushed. "I just don't really know why I don't wanna be around them right now." The blonde concluded in a concerned accent.

"Anything wrong, Lucy?" A voice spoke up and it was revealed to be Mirajane Strauss, Fairy Tail's main bartender.

"AH! Oh nothing! Nothing's going on!" Lucy jumped and began to flutter nervously. Mirajane just expressed even more concern.

"Sorry Lucy," she said while making herself a drink. "You just look worried is all."Lucy signed. "I guess I am a little nervous is all." The bartender asked. "What's there to be nervous about?"

"You see, that's the problem." The blonde began speaking. "I don't know why, but all day, I felt nervous and concerned that something bad might come up." Mirajane now felt uneasy.

"Lucy, what do you mean?" Mirajane finished her drink as she asked her blonde companion once more. The celestial one could only shrug.

"I really don't know, all I know is," before she could reveal an answer, Markarov Dreyer, the guild's master, came walking through the door.

"I have returned!" All of the guild's members either cleaned up whatever mess they had or stopped whatever they were doing to greet their master.

"Everybody settle down." the guild master calmly said. "No one is in trouble, but I do have a new job for you all." Now all of the guild was in despair.

"But master," Natsu said to complain to his boss. "We were actually having fun today without any work!"

"Yeah, can't some other guild take care of it?" Happy cried. Markarov glared at the dragon slayer with much disapproval. "Fun isn't something you deserve Natsu, it's something you earn!" The guild master continued. "The point being is there's something suspicious going on in the Kingdom of Fiore. Many wizards from other guilds have been disappearing, and no one knows what the source is!"

Lucy gasped. Not just out of worry, but she may have now found her answer on why she felt concerned earlier.

"So that's why I felt concerned," she told herself. "I feared that something was causing trouble, and I knew it!" Suddenly, a certain blue cat appeared.

"Who are you talking to, Lucy?" The blonde smacked the cat away.

"Why don't you not ease drop on me for once, you stupid cat!"

"Lucy, Happy, calm down!" Markarov demanded. The master of Fairy Tail cleared his throat. "As I was saying, multiple wizards from various guilds all across town have been vanishing without any sight. No one knows exactly where they are or where they were last seen." The short, old man continued. "That's why it's up to us to work together to find out what the trouble is."

"Wait," Grey Fullbuster, the ice wizard, said, "you don't mean."

"Oh, I mean it, Grey." Markarov sternly concluded. Natsu protested.

"There is no way I'm teaming up with our enemies, master!" Other members of Fairy Tail started to agree, but the master just shook his head.

"I leave you no choice." Markarov began to state his dilemma. "Either work together with the other guilds or face expulsion! _

A/N: Woohoo, boy did I have fun doing that? :D I'm really sorry if the introduction was a bit short, but I promise that in future chapters, both shows will get equal amounts of screentime. I think it's because I'd been watching more Fairy Tail than Soul Eater is what caused me to focus more on it in this chapter lol.

Anyways, see you all later! 3
