Chapter 2
Xander had left along with Tamara a while ago the bar heading home together. The two arrived first in front of s two-leveled house, which was the Clavell residence and at the moment the lights were turned off and the only thing you could see was a flicker of a TV screen. The two walked together towards the stairs, then looked at each other before moving away from the other.
"It was great to see you Xander. I hope your mom feels better with the time," Commented Tamara earning a nod from the man, then Tamara embraced her friend before leaving.
"Next time we stay longer or come early if necessary," Promised the man making the brunette chuckle.
"But you know the best part is after 11, right?"
"Of course I do" Xander responded taking out his keys to open the door but it unlocked itself up from the other side and got opened back, so the house owner Buster Clavell showed up spotting his son on the outside holding his key.
"Hey dad" Xander greeted normally, then Tamara noticed the man seemed to be in a different mood and approached her friend from the side.
"Good evening Mr. Clavell. Remember me? Tamara Donner? Xander's friend from high school?"
"Hmm what time do we have?" The senior questioned looking at his watch while Xander along with Tamara checked their smartphones and glanced back at the grey-haired man.
"22:21," Answered the woman. "Earlier than the usual,"
"What a surprise. Its a rare occasion to see you here, son" Buster stated making Xander nod short.
"I'm worried about mom, since she began to feel bad lately. I just want to make sure to be helpful to her if needed,"
"Helpful? When have you been helpful?"
"Dad I'm serious, since the last stroke she had, I've been feeling a little insecure about her behavior and I really don't want anything to get worse or to make it worse to her,"
"That's basically the same thing you've said the other weeks and nevertheless you're weekly visits at clubs and bars haven't changed a little so far. It's not going to get easy for you if you keep mooching around the world although you clearly have a steady job,"
"You know a fishmonger isn't a quite lucrative job. I'm here cause I cant find a place where I can move in. At least what fits me,"
"It doesn't matter, you need to have a steady job to earn money, so you can pay for your own debts. Just paying for food, drinks aren't the only thing you need the money for"
"Dad I know it! But I need to get a job which I actually like and want to do it. The one at you and mom isn't made for me and it never will,"
"Maybe you should have thought about it before you decided to skip college. You should have just done it as Connor Frio did,"
"Luckily he had great skills for what he went. The skills I have either arent good enough or there is nothing for that" Told the son.
"What else are you expecting from me? A second chance to repeat high school? Sadly a young age potion wasn't invented yet"
From behind Buster's wife came along in her nightgown to spot the two men discuss then watched Tamara fake a smile embarrassed at the current situation.
"What's going on?" Ask the mother grabbing her husband on the arm, then saw her son. "Already home?"
"Just arrived at a few moments ago," Stated the man exchanging looks with the school friend then Tamara squinted her eyes scanning the older woman which seemed to feel dazed.
"Mrs. Clavell, are you alright?" Tamara asked watching the eyes of the woman roll up into the eyelids and she passed out falling onto Xander's arm which was caught in surprise and along with Tamara they moved to the side and tried to wake her up.
"Mom, are you okay?" The man asked patting her on the cheek trying to wake her up. Buster also joined the two friends trying to wake up his wife, making Xander gulp and Tamara picked out her smartphone to call the ambulance. Tamara looked at the house across the streets then looked at Xander which watched his father trying to wake up his wife.
"Xander doesn't the girl over there Bebe have experiences with first aid situations?" Questioned the friend earning a nod from the friend. "Go see if you cant talk to her"
Xander stood behind the two along with Tamara and his father watching the two trying to reanimate the woman and Xander gazed at the road beginning to hear the sirens of an ambulance which came from behind the central park heading to his family's home address.
Out of the ambulance left a paramedic with dark-blonde hair and a raven-haired woman, the latter one carried in her hands a defibrillator and both stood vice versa to Mr. Bachelor and Bebe.
"How long has she been unable to talk to?" Questioned the paramedic with the Wolff surname.
"For about five minutes I think" Answered Simis Bachelor glancing up at the victim's husband.
"Maximum 10," Noticed Buster analyzing the two paramedics which opened the defibrillator and attached two press electrodes on the senior's chest.
"Press electrode as shown on bare chest" The defibrillator's AI voice announced indicating on its screen the occurrence.
"Please remove the bra and the blouse" Advised the blonde paramedic watching Morgana remove them, then Tamara turned blue at the sight of the half-naked woman.
"Shock advised. Please stay back from the body...caution body temperature is being measured"
"What exactly is this thing doing?" Asked Buster bewildered with the little device its functions and Simis Bachelor held his arm in front of the senior to comfort him.
"This is similar to those electronic shocks they use at the hospital" The journalist explained looking down at the defibrillator "Caution, a shock is getting transferred." said the Defibrillator. "Caution, don't touch the patient, Caution don't touch the patient. Caution, a shock will be now transferred. "
"There..." Buster spoke then the defibrillator started to make a loud siren-like noise making Buster cover his ears.
"Why is it howling?" Asked Buster shortly afterward the defibrillator passed electric shock causing Bessie's body to jerk.
"Whoa" Xander replied also shocked about the body's reaction towards the first aid device then observed the blonde woman begin with the compression ratio on the chest while the others were around them. Xander walked towards the side of the ambulance leaning his head against it sighing unlucky about it then Tamara approached him placing her hand on his back to comfort her.
"Everything is going to be fine. Just stay positive" Tamara tried to explain then looked at the raven-haired woman pass by them to get out of the back of the stretcher and enter the ambulance to prepare necessary materials and the brunette looked back at Xander wondering what this evening is going to go.
Alexander Clavell, his friend Tamara Donner and a few of their neighbors were close together at the burial. Tamara grabbed his friend on the shoulder to make sure he was okay, then she pulled him a step back to speak to him.
"What did you want to talk to me about it?"
"I just wanted to ask you, if you could help me find a room somewhere to rent until I'm able to find a new job"
"Did you get fired?"
"No but I don't think its at the moment a good time for me or my dad to be together in the same house. We haven't fought or spoken a lot the last few days, but I think that this was a warning for me to move on in my life like you for example,"
"That sounds like a lot of changes at once. Don't you want to find a job first?"
"Probably the best solution. I don't think everyone will pick me without a college degree,"
"I have to check at the city hall the job ads to see what current free jobs are listed" Tamara pointed out. "I send you their addresses of them so you can check everything,"
"That would be great if you could get some," Xander whispered, then they saw another elder woman in the crowd began to break in tears as the coffin had been sunken into the earth, followed by a young man place his arm around the person. Xander watched his father cry then gazed down at the ground sad, unsure about how to talk to him while he's mourning.
Behind the mausoleum stood one person peeking out at the funeral, noticing all the people blocking the sight to the burial.
"Everything is clear. I stay on watch," Commented the raven-haired woman glancing back to a dark-haired, thick man and a younger raven-haired man with beard covering a hole behind the crypt.
"We're almost done, don't worry," Commented the thick man.
"I feel like I knew I couldn't trust him. I just don't know how,"
"One good thing is this accident happened to him, otherwise we would have been caught and sent to prison last night," Commented the big guy with the mustache.
