A little boy runs through the castle laughing happily. His joy is shining through and makes the castle seem brighter. He doesn't stop until finally a man catches him. Scooping him up into his arms. Holding him tightly and laying a soft and gentle kiss on his head. The boy beams with happiness. His little arms wrapping around the man's neck and hugging him tightly.
The man speaks softly. "I love you son."
Jack looks up at him and smiles brightly "I love you too, Daddy."
The man looks down at him. Jack's heart stops there is no face on this man. It's just a blur. He looks around and dark clouds start pouring into the sky. Winds start to pick up and throw leaves and other things at the two of them. Jack moves and whispers. "daddy..."
Then lightening crashes and Jack can hear crashing. Jack freezes and then screams as he's torn from his father. Thrown into the sea. Waves crash into him and pushing him down under the water. Threatening to take him to the bottom of the sea.
Jack sits up with a start. Cold sweat covering his face. He looks around and swallows. No one else is awake in the bunks. There's some soft snoring coming from corners of the room. Jack swings his legs down and jumps down to the wooden deck. His bare feet barely make a sound he lands. Jack then slowly slinks his way to the door and out it. He makes his way to the deck. The sway of the waves crashing against the ships side hide his footsteps. He walks out onto the deck and looks around. None of the crew other than a few stray members are around and they seem too busy to notice him.
Jack looks at the ocean and bites his lip. He doesn't remember his father's face anymore. He doesn't remember his past. Not that it matters honestly since he had been told many times that his father died when they took him.
He remembers the first night at the slave camp. Well, he thinks it was the first night. The man that told him was now property. At first, he was to be a kitchen helper. Spanked for every wrongdoing by the kitchen leader. The horrible man kept a cane by the bench and seemed to enjoy making Jack cry. He didn't know that they were just waiting for him to present. They kept him subservient and obedient enough that even if he was an alpha he would calm. Then came last month. At 16 he presented, and he remembered the look on the kitchen leads face. Jack had presented as an Omega. A rare male omega.
Jack looks at the water and almost wants to jump into the water. He couldn't swim but that didn't matter. He knew the plan was to sell him at the market. His future was very unsure. Since omega's couldn't be sold where they were, they set across the sea. Jack closes his eyes and tries to picture his father's face.
He doesn't hear the footsteps behind him but feels the harsh yank that sends him backwards onto the deck. He yelps as he lands hard onto the deck on his back side.
The captain of the ship stands there with his arms crossed. "Thinking about going for a swim?"
Jack quickly tries to lie shaking his head. "No.. I.."
He yelps as harsh hands sink into his hair and pull him to his knees. The captain drags him bellow. "Don't you dare lie to me."
Jack winces and stumbles into the closet he's shoved into. Crashing to the floor again. The door is slammed closed and locked. "Since I can't trust you. You will stay in there until we reach land."
Jack manages to move around to sit on the floor with his legs drawn up to his chest. The silence over the next few days lets Jack think and try to remember his father.
