Concord, Adam, and Chary were faced with a problem they had never hoped to see; they were overwhelmed. With a Hypno killer on the loose, many guild members had quit their jobs to protect their families. The remaining few members of the guild were unfairly expected to pick up for everyone else, an impossible task considering how little there was left. These three Pokemon in particular have a story to tell.

Adam is an Eevee, who was once a human and now lacks all of his memories. He has blue eyes, thick hair, and he wields a crossbow, All of which is unusual for an Eevee. Concord is a Buizel who's very outgoing and friendly, she has brown eyes, a tall stature, and a great voice. Chary is an Umbreon who is very stern and Concord's friend, he is a normal Umbreon, with brown eyes and a thin coat of black hair. He may have a harsh exterior, but he knows when to be compassionate.

They started on the first mission of the day; a Sandshrew had gotten stuck in a dungeon and needed rescuing. With how rushed they were, they skipped most of the standard guild safety procedures with checking items, surroundings, and status. It was a basic dungeon so they felt justified in doing so. Even with the clock ticking, All three of them recited their team vows

"Protect the land! Protect each other! Protect ourselves!" They all chanted in unison and entered the dungeon.

"Concord!" Adam shouted. "We have the Escape Orbs, right?!"

"Yeah! We have plenty!" Concord shouted back, shoving a rock aside to allow access to the doorway it blocked off.

"How many?!"

"3," Concord replied as everyone crowded around the door.

Chary stopped as everyone crowded around the door. "Three?" he butted in. "Concord, can you please think for a moment? What are we doing right now?"

Concord fidgeted at the scalding words, dropping her head. "A... Rescue mission. I'm sorry… "I wasn't thinking at the time."

"Do better," Chary replied. A faint cry rang out as he stared at Concord, Adam breaking off to check on what it was. He came upon a bunch of rocks.

One of which, being a Dwebble in disguise, leaped out and slashed.

Adam screamed, punching the Dwebble out of instinct, hurting his paw on the hard rock outside. "Adam!" Chary yelled, stepping in to help his ally. A quick attack brought him bursting forward.

Being his weakest move, however, Dwebble merely tanked it. The next second Concord paid the price: A bite on the cheek.

"Chary, use a stronger move!" Concord frustratingly shouted, gripping her cheek.

"You're over there, do it yourself!" Chary abstained from giving aid to Concord. The space between the Dweeble and Concord dwindled.

"Chary! Goddamnit!" Concord lost her focus on the Dweeble with their banter, allowing it a second attack, and her arm ripped out in pain.

Ow! Fine!" Concord turned quickly and winded up an attack to hopefully smash the stupid rock, however, she saw that the Dwebble laying on its side, unconscious. Next, she saw Adam, who was standing stupidly next to it.

"I kicked it and knocked it out while you two were arguing." Adam calmly stated.

"You what?" Chary confusingly asked, seemingly having forgotten Adam existed.

"I, kicked, it," Adam said back slowly in a mocking tone, inciting an argument between the two.

"I can hear you fine, just why didn't you use a move?" Chary sighed and facepalmed. "Or even your stupid Crossbow?! You shouldn't have even touched that pile of rocks! That was your fault!" Chary's complaining came to a halt as Concord noticed a blur of yellow motion in her peripheral vision. She reached out to behind her and tapped on Chary. When he turned around, he saw something yellow running towards the exit.

Thinking quickly; Chary placed a Dark Pulse between a mysterious intruder and the door, causing rocks to fall and block the exit when they landed. As they were forced to stop, the group could make out its shape to be that of a Hypno.

"You're the one behind the murders!" Chary immediately shouted. They looked and saw the bag Concord was holding and rushed toward her, in hopes of grabbing any exit orb she may have had. A wrestling match ensued, and time slowed to a crawl. Hypno fought to grab an Escape Orb out of her bag, and Concord tried to hold him off until Chary would arrive. Adam knew he could not help when they were too close to each other, as he could not use his crossbow with the risk of friendly fire being so high. He also could not reach them before Chary for a physical confrontation. Regardless, he aimed.

Finally noticing Chary, the Hypno jumped up and fiercely headbutted him away. It reached into the now undefended bag and pulled out an Escape Orb. Hypno clutched the orb and began to use it. Neither Concord nor Chary were in a place to stop him...

Adam released his arrow, striking Hypno in the arm! The orb fell to the ground; shattering into hundreds of pieces. With no Escape Orb, it panicked and surrendered itself to them.

They still had a Sandshrew to rescue, so the rest of the mission went on; They escorted Hypno and rescued the Sandshrew. With no escape orb, they had to all crawl through a little crack in the doorway left behind after the rocks fell. Nobody talked during the whole ordeal, as the whole thing had brought a shock nobody was ready to process yet.

They walked into the guild, and the bustling crowd suddenly dropped into silence as everyone stared at them. The guild master, on the other hand, was ecstatic.

"You actually caught him? This is wonderful news! You have saved the city! All the guild members may get back to work immediately, and as for you three; you will be rewarded greatly! Run along now, you may have the rest of today off. Come back later, m'kay?" the Hypno just stared at him with disdain, not daring to say a word.

"We-" Chary began.

"Run along now children, I will deal with this." The guild master repeated himself in a jolly tone, ignored them, and focused on the Hypno.

Awkwardly, they obeyed and silently sneaked out.

Chary was out buying food and Concord was going out on a run; Leaving Adam alone at their base. It was a quiet place, holding a kitchen, a few chairs, a fireplace, and various decorations scattered all around. Most important was its two beds. Yes, two beds, not three. The floorboards creaked and Adam groaned with them.

'Why don't they ever trust me with anything?' Adam complained to himself, 'I don't even have my own bed, do they not even trust me to SLEEP?! Guess what? I'm always sleeping! What else would I even do here?' Adam ranted on in his thoughts, but they were cut short by him noticing a board sticking out from Chary's bed.

No matter how much I push it down, it comes back up. I move his bed and I find something quite unexpected.
