A Thunderous Lightning Storm 2 Chapter 05. Lycanroc Calls In

(The Lost Hotel later that Night. Since its Re-opening thanks to Jolteon, it has become a white-tablecloth restaurant, with Pokémon dining al fresco and a hopping hybrid pub, bar, and restaurant inside. Among the Crowd is Jolteon and Espeon as they have a prime table with a view of Village of Dragons and the starry night sky).
Espeon: This is so nice.
Jolteon: I cannot tell you how good it is to be here alone. Just the two of us. Finally, you and me... (But then they hear a voice that sounds all too familiar to them both).
Voice: Good evening. (They Turn and to their Shock is Lycanroc. He is at their table, dressed as a waiter).Hello,my name is Lycanroc, and I will be your waiter. Lycanroc the waiter. That is funny right there.
Jolteon: Lycanroc, you work here?
Lycanroc: Well yes, I work here. Whatwould you think, I just snuck in here when nobody was looking and pretended to be your waiter, just so I could spend time with you? (Jolteon and Espeon exchange a look of comical amusement at the Sheer obviousness of his Plan that he just blurted out. But instead of calling him out on it, they decide to humor him as Jolteon says).
Jolteon: Oh, yes. How ridiculous would that be?
Lycanroc: Now, can I start you two lovebirds off with a couple drinks?
Jolteon: Yes, I will have my usual. (Espeon Giggles at this and says).
Espeon: Do you know what? Yeah, I am going to have that too. (Lycanroc blinks at having no clue what their "Usual" is but decides to play along with it and says).
Lycanroc: Uh, right. Your usual. (Lycanroc Runs off to get their "Usual" whatever that is. As Lycanroc runs off to get their drinks, Jolteon and Espeon laugh at the Joke they played on Lycanroc).
(Meanwhile Inside the Lost Hotel, at the Bar - Rillaboom and Decidueye watch as Sneasel mixes drinks, ala "Berries", then Lycanroc arrives and asks Sneasel).
Lycanroc: Sneasel! What's Jolteon's usual? (Sneasel Says in his Native Johto Language).
Sneasel: Come posso saperlo?(Translation: "How should I know?"). (Lycanroc, not being able to Understand what Sneasel, misinterprets it for the Name of Jolteon and Espeon's "Usual").
Lycanroc: Perfect! Give me two of `em.
Decidueye: Quiet! Because My program's on. (They Look on the TV Monitors Above Sneasel and See a Program Beginning. The Show's Host, "Mr. Rime" says greeting Viewers who are watching his cable talk show).
Mr. Rime: Tonight on "The Mr. Rime Show"! Begins with file footage of a Pokémon.His story gripped the world! Berry Juice billionaire Pokémon, trying to become the first Pokémon to circumnavigate the globe without GPS, ironically ran out of gas and found himself trapped in the wild! Feared dead, he appeared 36 days later, running on a Berry Juice, he would distill himself from the natural elements! Since then, hesold his Berry Juice fortune, converted himself from a Pseudo Legendary Pokémon into a Mirage Pokémon, and has devoted his life to finding a renewable, clean-burning fuel! (We See Images of Berry Juice derricks torn down; then the Pokémon becoming to a Mirage Pokemon; followed by lab scientists testing chemicals). Now he claims to have done it with his Berrinol. (There are Images of fields, rivers, vegetables, and mountains all combining to form the Berrinol logo). And to show the world what his new superfuel can do, hecreated a racing competition like no other, inviting the greatest champions from around the globe to battle in the first ever World Grand Prix. Welcome Sir. (A Projection Screen Device arrives, parks across from Mr. Rime's desk and it Projects a Screen with a Vibrating Caller Sign and the Guest Speakers Voice Comes out from the Devices Microphone).
Caller: Thank you, Mr. Rime. It is exceptionally good to be here. Now listen to me:Big Berry Juice. It costs a fortune. Pollution is getting worse, I mean, come on. It is a fossil fuel. Fossil. As in dead Fossil Pokémon. And we all know what happened to them. Alternative energy is the future. Trust me, Mr. Rime, after seeing Berrinol in action at the World Grand Prix, nobody will ever go back to Berry Juice again. (Back in the Lost Hotel Lycanroc asks Rillaboom).
Lycanroc: What happened to the Fossil Pokémon, now? (Back on the TV, Mr. Rime Says).
Mr. Rime: And on satellite, a World Grand Prix competitor and one of the fastest Pokémon in the world, Silvally. (Then a Camera Focuses on said, "fastest Pokémon in the world", named Silvally. It has a mammalian head with mechanical parts. Silvally has a thick, silver mane that extends down over its chest. On each side of its head is a circular, metallic drive, with a white circle crossed by a metal line. On top of its head is a large, axe-like fur or feather crest. Silvally also has a fishlike tail consisting of two dark blue spines with a white fin stretched between them. Upon Revealing himself to the Viewers, Silvally Greets them saying).
Silvally: It is an honor, Signore Mr. Rime. For you.
Mr. Rime: Sir, why not invite Jolteon? (Lycanroc, now having collected his drinks, looks up, half-intrigued by the Mention of Jolteon's Name).
Caller: Of course, we invited him. But clearly after an exceedingly long racing season He is taking a little time off to rest.
Silvally: Jolteon would not have a chance against Silvally! (Clearly Lycanroc does not like this as he growls in anger at this),I can go over "300" kilometers an hour! In miles that is like, uh. Way faster than Jolteon.
Mr. Rime: Letus go to the phones. "Barnstormer", Lopunny, youare on the air.
Lopunny: Am I on? Hello?
Mr. Rime: Youare on. Go ahead.
Lopunny: Hello?
Mr. Rime: Go ahead, caller. (Then they hear a Dial Tone and know Lopunny has Been Disconnected from the Phone Call).Letus go to Village of Dragons. Youare on, caller. (Then they Lycanroc's Voice saying).
Lycanroc's Voice: Yes, that Alolan feller you got on there cannot talk that way about Jolteon. He is the bestest race Pokémon in the whole wide world. (Then Rillaboom and Decidueye look around and see Lycanroc is visible in the back of the bar on an office phone. Decidueye knows what is going to happen and says).
Decidueye: Uh-oh. (Then Back on the TV they hear Silvally say).
Silvally: If he is, how you say "the bestest race Pokémon", then why must he rest, eh?
Lycanroc's Voice: Because he knows what is important. Every now and then he prefers just to slow down, enjoy life.
Silvally: Ah, you heard it! Jolteon prefers to be slow! Of course, this is not news to Silvally. When I want to go to sleep, I watch one of his races. After two laps I am out cold. (There are Audible Reactions from the bar. A crowd has been forming ever since Lycanroc started talking over the Phone as he then says).
Lycanroc's Voice: That ain't what I meant.
(Meanwhile, back outside the Lost Hotel, Jolteon and Espeon are waiting for their Drinks when they suddenly hear the commotion going on inside the Hotel).
Jolteon: Hey, what is going on over there?
(Now back inside The Bar. Espeon and Jolteon make their ways through the crowd and see that they are watching Silvally on the television. As Jolteon says to Espeon).
Jolteon: Oh, it is that Alolan Formula Pokémon. His name is... (Before Jolteon Can Finish, Espeon Says enunciating each part of Silvally's Name, as if it was her mother's tongue).
Espeon: Silvally. No wonder there is a crowd. (This Surprises Jolteon to learn that Espeon knows Silvally).
Jolteon: Wait, why do you know his name? And Do Not say it like that. It is three syllables, not ten.
Espeon: What? He is nice to look at. You know, big and strong and all.
Jolteon: What is wrong with Quills? I thought you like my Quills. (Then the Two get an even bigger surprise when they hear an all too familiar voice).
Lycanroc's Voice: Well, let me tell you something else there, Mr. Silvally.
Jolteon: Lycanroc? (Jolteon Says in Shock).
Lycanroc's Voice: Jolteon could Zoom circles around you.
Silvally: Zooming in circles is all he can do, no?
Lycanroc's Voice: No! Wait I mean yes, I mean he could beat you anywhere, anytime, any track. (Back with Jolteon, as he looks at Sneasel who gives a nod over to Lycanroc, turned away from the crowd, as he is still on the phone. Then Silvally says having had enough of Lycanroc's Nonsense).
Silvally: Mr. Rime, can we move on? Silvally needs a caller who can supply a little more intellectual stimulation. Like a dump truck. (When Jolteon hears this Crack Shot about Lycanroc, He does not like this at all. And decides to act here, while Lycanroc still on the Phone humor's Silvally for his Comeback before firing back with his own Comeback).
Lycanroc: Ha, ha! That shows what you know. Magikarp are dumb. (Suddenly, Lycanroc forcibly leaves the booth when Jolteon pulls Lycanroc out, sending him screaming and replaced by Jolteon as he says Into the Phone).
Jolteon: Yes, hi, this is Jolteon. (This Excites Silvally as he Exclaims).
Silvally: The ThunderousJolteon!? (But to Silvally's Surprise, Jolteon does not engage Silvally in his Faux Fanboyism, instead choosing to Defend Lycanroc).
Jolteon: Look, I Do Not appreciate my best friend that gets insulted by others. (Silvally pretends to feel bad for insulting Lycanroc saying).
Silvally: Jolteon! That was your best friend? Oh. (Silvally drops the Fake Guilty tone in his voice to take a more Mocking tone with Jolteon). This is the difference between you and Silvally. Silvally knows how good he is. He does not need to surround himself with tow trucks to prove it. (Jolteon was half-expecting this and Zaps Silvally with an electrifying Comeback).
Jolteon: Those are strong words from a Pokémon that is so fragile. (Silvally loses it with that Comeback and shouts back at Jolteon).
Silvally: Fragilé!? He calls Silvally fragilé? Not so fast, Jolteon! (Jolteon does not lose his Smirking expression as he says).
Jolteon: "Not so fast". What is that your new motto? (Silvally again is annoyed with Jolteon's Electrifying Comeback and says).
Silvally: MOTTO!? !? (Silvally goes crazy in Alolan, rambling continuously until they cut his mic off leaving him silent. Silvally walks off Camera but not before Shaking his fishlike tail at the Camera before Storming off. Then Mr. Rime's Co-Host Says taking over to ask Jolteon).
Caller: Well, this sounds like something that needs settling on the racecourse. What do you say, Jolteon? Wehave still got room for one more racer.
Jolteon: Well, I would love to. The only thing is my crew's off for the season so... (Then Jolteon hears A sound directing his attention. Jolteon turns to see Rillaboom, Decidueye and Nuzleaf flank a tablecloth which is hanging off the bar. Shuckle backs away, having spray painted "TEAM JOLTEON" on it. Sneasel quickly uncorks three wine bottles and says).
Sneasel: Pit stop. (Now full of Confidence again, Jolteon turns back to the phone).
Jolteon: Do you know what? They just got back. Deal me in, baby. Ka-chow!
(The place Erupts in Cheers from the Crowd before Jolteon ends his phone call with Mr. Rime and his Mysterious Co-Host. Once Jolteon has left the Back Room with the Phone, excitement fills the air, as he walks over to Espeon),I know, I know. I just got back. But we will not be long and... (Espeon interrupts Jolteon again saying).
Espeon: Oh, no, do not worry about me, I Have got enough to do here. Lycanroc's going to have a blast though. (Jolteon looks a little less then eager about this idea, staying silent until Espeon asks). You are bringing Lycanroc, right? (Jolteon is still silent until Espeon points out to him). You never bring him to any of your races. (Jolteon turns to the bar where Lycanroc Privately tries their drinks, but hates it, looks around for a second, looking for a place to discretely spit the accursed drink out. But does see a place to do it, so Lycanroc just spits it back in the glass).Just let him sit in the pits, give him a headset. C'mon, itwill be a thrill of a lifetime for him. (Jolteon ponders this a moment, as Lycanroc arrives with Jolteon and Espeon's Drinks).
Lycanroc: Your drinks, sir.
Jolteon: Lycanroc. (Lycanroc panics at this thinking they knew what he just did with their Drinks and blurts out).
Lycanroc: I did not taste it!
Jolteon: Howwould you like to come to see the world with me? (Lycanroc gasps excitedly at this asking with a big smile on his Face).
Lycanroc: Do you mean it?
Jolteon: You got me into this thing. Youare coming along. (Lycanroc is over the moon with excitement and Cries out Happily).
Lycanroc: All Right!
(A/N #1: Trust Me when I say viewers, Lopunny's Presence in this Chapter Means more than You think, I will Leave it up to your own Personal Interpretation. But I will give you a hint, while Lopunny will not make any physical appearances in this Story she will appear in a 3rd Movie Sequel. But again, I will Leave it up to your own Personal Interpretation).
