Chapter 1 6
On the dancefloor, Xander stood around with a punch in his hand watching the students around him dance all differently from each other. Xander walked along the floor to see the several students attending the prom night, smiling from seeing the joy they were having. Behind a couple of students, Xander noticed a familiar dress, then stopped and squinted his eyes to recognize the person, then dropped his mouth surprised.
"Blair really showed up at the prom," Commented Xander quiet, then watched the woman have eye contact with him, making Xander gasp and turn around, pretending to be looking for something. "Please don't notice me," Xander wished quietly, then heard her voice talk up shrieking him.
"Hey you!" Called Blair making Xander gulp, then look back a little tensed and watched the woman approach him, then Xander faked a smile at the woman.
"Uh….hey there. I'm Tyler," Xander said extending out his hand, waiting for Blair to take his. "You must be from Riverview, right?" Questioned Xander making Blair shake her head.
"Your voice sounds familiar and…...Xander?" Asked Blair surprised, then Xander shushed her making her wide her eyes surprised. "What are you doing here?"
"This sounds weird, but uh…..I'm working undercover for the FBI," Xander made up, making Blair look at him serious about his made-up lie.
"For real?" Questioned Blair earning a nod from Xander. "Shouldn't the police of Sunset Valley, which I'm working for know about your undercover mission as well?" Questioned Blair crossing her arms, making Xander fake a chuckle.
"Why should they know? We could end up tracking us down by accident thinking, we're the bad guys?" Commented Xander making Blair frown.
"That's why we're supposed to know when more cops are undercover. Honestly, do you really think I'm that dumb?" Questioned Blair serious, making Xander chuckle.
Ayesha walked past the duo, then spotted Xander talking with Blair and paid attention to the conversation upon noticing, that Xander seemed a bit tensed about the chat.
"I kind of hoped so…..but I don't know, what you're thinking about. I'm here to help a friend pick up a boy. Her name is Holly. She's a really nice girl." Xander said. "I'm not doing anything bad here, I swear,"
Ayesha realized, that Xander might have been recognized by his roommate Blair, then she pondered about an exit plan for him and had an ideal plan, that could help him out. Ayesha pushed a girl by her dress back causing it to rip off a little, then leaped away a few steps to observe the blonde girl crash against Blair, which fell down as well and Xander stepped aside.
"Hey! Who pulled my dress?" Asked the blonde girl with pigtails, then Xander looked around to see VJ stare down at the ground and frown to see his girlfriend on the ground with another woman. Xander noticed Ayesha wave at him, afterward Xander got towards her.
"Thank you, I almost thought I…..."
"My dress!" Yelled the younger sister of Ethan Bunch, then stared at Blair, which looked at the girl confused. The teenager went angry and jumped towards the woman to fight her, afterward a couple of students got around the two to cheer for them fighting. Xander began to laugh at the chaos, afterward, Ayesha grabbed his hand and pulled him out of the scenario.
"That was great," Confessed Xander. "Thanks for saving me,"
"Okay, I think we should step out of here," Stated Ayesha making Xander nod.
"Yes, but hey can we check on Holly? I'm curious to see, what happened with her and her crush," Xander asked stopping along with Ayesha.
"Did you do something?" Questioned Ayesha making Xander nod.
"I went to look for that Davy she has a crush on and told him, what was up. He went to ask her for the dance and I think she accepted it or should have if I'm right," Ayesha nodded, then walked along with Xander around the students, that were still dancing, which didn't hear anything about the fight due to the music being louder from being closer to the stereo system. Ayesha sought the area for the said girl, then Xander walked beside her looking to the opposite direction to do the same, afterward Ayesha nudged the man to point at the two noticing Holly was during the dance deep in the arms of her crush having her chin over his shoulder smiling in serenity.
"Wow, that's the guy?" Questioned Ayesha from seeing the teenage girl with the boy of her dreams there in their own world, then glimpsed at Xander, which nodded.
"I wasn't expecting to see this, but the fact this made her happy is a good thing," Commented Xander making Ayesha nod.
"You're right," Commented Ayesha.
"I think we call this Co-piloting. Your friend needs to get a date or a girl, you just go with him and…..uh lead him through it," Mentioned Xander. "I think this is how it goes,"
Ayesha shook her head amused, then watched two teachers run through the crowd, which seemed to have earned the attention from the girl's fight and Xander moved his thumb sideways at the duo.
"You think we should worry about it?" Questioned Xander making Ayesha shrug her shoulders.
"We'll see. I might take some minutes," Ayesha stated, then watched Xander hold out his hand at the woman.
"Wanna dance?" Questioned Xander making the girl smile.
"I can't dance," Responded Ayesha a little abashed. "I just let the partner follow the lead and the boy from before wasn't quite the dancer. He barely knows anything about it,"
"Well, I just know how to dance like in the clubs. Dancing the waltz or any couple dances, I don't know as well. I danced with my friend Tamara, but we just do it together like the others in the club. It's fun too and not so much corporal contact,"
"Well, I can give it a chance," Ayesha responded watching Xander grin, then began to dance, waiting for the woman to join him, which she slowly did. Afterward, she began to understand, what Xander meant and by watching the teens around them.
"See? It's not that bad," Spoke Xander vibing along with the woman to the song, moving a little closer to the other students which were doing the same dance moves as them.
Don Lothario left the area of their crime to glimpse at the area noticing the coast was clear, then he stared at the restrooms and looked back at Claire, which stood by the door putting the last box on the patient stretcher and sat down on the hole to look down.
"How many boxes are there now?" Questioned Claire.
"There are four only. Move the stretcher away, we won't really need it for them," Bert answered making Claire nod and look to yell at Robbie.
"Robbes, we won't need the patient stretcher anymore!" Claire said, then didn't receive an answer, then shrugged her shoulders and looked down again. "I think it's fine as well,"
Don looked at the restrooms, then closed the door and ran towards the restrooms to get in there.
"Why should I do it outside, when I got here a restroom?" Don muttered to himself disappearing into the men's restrooms.
In the meanwhile, from the hall where the party was up, the Irish teenager the woman Claire gets along with got out of there making her way towards the restrooms, while letting out a soft yawn.
"I barely drank anything," River commented to herself trotting direction of the women's restroom, then opened the door and sensed it hitting on something. River furrowed her eyebrows confused, then looked aside to spot Parker sitting there against the wall with his head aside, giving the brunette a strange feeling in her stomach.
"What the…?" River mumbled confused, then got down on her knees to take a look at him and began to scent the strong odor of his sweat. "Boy, how much do you sweat?" Questioned the brunette observing, that he was dressed a little too warm for the inside, then she shook him gently on the shoulder seeing, that he didn't react. River bit her lip, a little tensed, and held her hand under his nose to sense his breathing, afterward sighed relieved. "Don't worry, I'm going to get Holly or….." River spoke, then remembered to check Parker's jacket for his cell phone, which she luckily find. She unlocked the cellphone, then opened the phone number gallery to find in the middle Holly's phone number, which she pressed to call. After a few beeping noises, Holly attended it.
"Parker?" Spoke Holly from the other side of the phone.
"Holly it's me, River McIrish from the art class. Can you come here to the girl's restroom? I found Parker here unconscious," River explained. "He's breathing for now, but I could use some help here,"
"I'm right away," Holly answered, putting down the call and River placed the phone on the ground, then heard the boy groan and River gazed at him, watching what was going to happen.
"Parker, can you hear me?" Spoke River watching the boy open his eyes slowly, then passed his hand behind his head.
"Where am I?" Questioned Parker looking up at River, slightly dazed. "What are you doing in the boy's restroom?" Asked the half-Scandinavian boy.
"Uh you're the one in the girl's restrooms," Corrected River. "You're sitting here behind the door. What happened?" Questioned the brunette watching Parker groan softly as he passed his hand gently behind his head.
"My head hurts a lot here," Commented Parker, then River got up to turn on the light and returned to the boy to look back at his head, then moved away Parker's hand to take a look at his head, then shook her head.
"I don't see anything. Did you hit your head somewhere or did you get hit by somebody?" Questioned River, afterward Holly Alto showed up along with Davy Linnell to spot the two inside the restroom.
"What happened?" Questioned Holly bowing down beside River to look at her good friend.
"I don't know. I remember being followed by Laila from Riverview, who I was dancing with. She told me, that she wanted to show me one of her tattoos on her leg and told me to follow her into the restrooms…...I don't know, what happened next," Parker explained making River shake her head.
"I believe this girl was up for no good," River mentioned. "But why? Did she want to steal you or simply punish you for something?"
"I don't know, why I should be punished for?" Questioned Parker. "I was the entire evening with her,"
"I don't know, perhaps she knows about your…...girl problem," Commented River making Parker shake his head.
"Everybody has ex-girlfriends," Commented Parker making Davy chuckle. "Perhaps not everyone,"
"Holly told me, you had at least 15 exes," Mentioned Davy making Parker frown.
"Laila doesn't even know me from anywhere. Why should she know all that?" Questioned Parker watching River shrug her shoulders.
"We're trying to help. I don't see any other solution on why someone would hit your head just like that," Told the brunette. "It doesn't make any sense,"
Holly pondered about the comment, then eyed her friend again.
"Parker, how did this Laila look like?"
"She was slightly taller than me. She had black hair, similar to River's but more of a…..uhm a Karen hairstyle….I don't know, how to describe hairs," Admitted Parker making Davy cover his mouth to avoid a chuckle.
"A bob you mean?" Questioned River watching Parker shrug his shoulders.
"Yeah, I think so. She said she's Egyptian and I think she's got a beauty spot under her left eye," Parker added making Holly frown annoyed knowing very well, who it was.
"I knew this jerkass, wouldn't keep his promise as always!" Holly complained making Parker and River look at her confused.
"Laila's a girl, so far I know," Parker corrected exchanging looks with the Irish girl.
"Davy, can you call Principal Langerak? River and I will take care of Parker,"
"Of course," Davy said, then placed his hands on Holly's shoulders. "Will you be okay here?" Questioned the blonde making Holly nod.
"I will. Thanks for the question," Responded Holly, afterward Davy pecked her on the side of her forehead making her turn red surprised from the boy's deed.
"And how's it going with him?" Questioned River with a smirk watching Holly shush her.
"We're just good friends! There's literally nothing going on between us!"
"Of course," Responded River sarcastically, then rolled her eyes at Parker, which noticed as well Holly was lying.
Davy ran out into the hall, passing by Xander and Ayesha, which noticed the boy. Xander exchanged looks with Ayesha, then he whistled to obtain Davy's attention, who looked at him.
"Hey, have you seen Mr. Langerak?" Questioned Davy making Xander shrug his shoulders.
"No, did something happen?" Questioned Xander.
"River found Parker unconscious in the restroom and I need to get help," Said Davy making Ayesha drop her chin from seeing she had made a mistake.
"Oh oh," Ayesha mumbled, then pointed across the hall.
"Have you checked out the crowd in the middle? He had gone there due to a dispute between students," Ayesha mentioned making Davy nod, who afterward ran off leaving the duo back. Ayesha pulled Xander behind her, which was confused about, what Davy had just told.
"Parker is unconscious? Was that you?" Questioned Xander making Ayesha nod.
"I had put him down to facilitate our work. Don't worry, I just punched him in his head. My big mistake now was that I hide him behind the door rather than carrying him into the toilet box or anywhere else,"
"Oh and now, what are we going to do?" Questioned Xander entering along with Ayesha into the corridor to see the open door of the women's restroom, afterward from the male restroom Don got out walking relaxed, afterward, he spotted Xander and Ayesha, then waved at them. Ayesha pointed at Don's direction, afterward he looked there and gasped as he saw the two girls around Parker Langerak. Don began to sneak carefully across the hall, and the newbies followed the Italian heading towards the door to the crime scene.
The trio successfully made it there without calling attention, which Ayesha had certified by glimpsing back a few times to see the trio inside the restroom busy. Don opened the door slowly, then entered it with Xander and Ayesha took a last look back again to see the trio was still distracted.
In the meanwhile, River had gotten up to wash her hands and looked aside to spot Ayesha closing the door in a suspicious way making River suspect the scene.
"I'll be right back," River warned walking along the hall toward the door, where the woman had left. Upon arriving there, she placed her hand on the handle, then moved it down slowly and pulled it back to see Claire inside the hole giving up a box to Xander, which he handed out to Don, who stood on the outside and Ayesha was doing the same with Bert's help. River gasped at recognizing her friend handing out the stolen goods to her teammates. Don, who stood beside the door watching the group work turned to look aside, then gasped as well as he noticed River stood there beside them.
"You're a criminal?!" Asked River a little loud, shrieking the gang, which spotted the teenage girl there and Claire, was the most shocked person out of the group as she recognized the girl, whom she had watched grow up over the years.
"W…..what are you doing here?" Asked Claire a little surprised at seeing the girl, had caught the gang.
"That's what I am supposed to ask," River returned a little angry from figuring out a woman, she used to idolize was indeed a criminal.
"I can explain, let's just get out of here and talk," Claire offered watching River get angry and smash the door back, making Don furrow his eyebrows confused.
"Shall I shoot her down?" Questioned Don watching Claire frown her face in anger, making Don move his hands in a jazz-hands-like way. "Just kidding, but serious, shall we do something about it? She's gonna blow our cover," Don opened the door to see the girl rushing towards the girl's restroom, where Holly stood trying to conduct Parker out on her own, then she held both back to avoid them moving.
"We gotta get out of here. There are criminals escaping from a tunnel with stolen items," Warned River, then watched Don Lothario make his way towards the girls, then Ayesha whistled at the Italian, which turned his head back.
"Leave them! We're done anyway," Warned Ayesha, then Don nodded and heard another door open up and saw a light-blonde man in a white shirt show up along with Davy Linnell staring at the area to spot Don.
"Who's that?" Asked Davy, while the principal looked at Parker standing between River and Holly, slightly weak. The trio had eye contact with the man and River pointed at the open door, where Ayesha stood, then she yelled at Don to leave.
"Those are bad guys!" Yelled River making Holly gasp from seeing everyone was going to be in danger right now and Don departed heading towards the door.
"Davy, go tell Miss Goode to call the police, I'll going to take care of the kids," The principal warned making his way toward the trio to check on his nephew.
"Who were those guys?" Questioned Parker looking at River, which was still annoyed with the encounter.
"One of the criminals was my friend Claire and I had no idea, she was one of those persons," River commented disappointed at the discovery, then the principal took a look at Parker, while Holly observed the crew leaving the tunnel, including her father, which she recognized from the far.
"You're one of the worst idols in the world!" Holly yelled upon seeing her father leave. Parker upon noticing his good friend along with the other girl seemed hurt by what had happened, he loosened himself from the duo to make his way to follow the group. "Parker, no!" Yelled Holly running after him, making Arthur drop his mouth in shock, then came afterward. River now all on her own, made her way toward the gym to get help as well.
Holly followed Parker into the room watching him pass by the open door, afterward as she passed through the first arc, she cried as she missed a step and jumped to avoid falling into the hole and landed on her knees and hurt herself on the leg. Holly groaned in pain, then took her leg out from the hole to notice, the broken wood had snatched her stocking and injured her leg, which leaked a bit of blood from it.
"Merda," Mumbled Holly watching Parker follow the gang, then the girl cried for his name. "Parker!"
Meanwhile, the crew stood behind the ambulances checking the content, they loaded in the back and Bert was along with Robbie instructing Claire and Marcela on the inside of the vehicles to fasten the boxes.
"Do you need help?" Questioned Don. "We don't have much time," Warned the Italian, then Nick pointed at Claire, which seemed tensed and Don hopped into the ambulance to help her.
"Ayesha, enter into the ambulance of Claire and take the wheel," Ordered Nick, I will take the second one," Mentioned Nick making Ayesha nod and ran to the front, then Xander hoped into the back of the second vehicle to see if Robbie needed help.
"I think it's safe enough boss," Warned Robbie earning a thumb up from the boss, then got out along with Xander. "Now we gotta enter the ambulance," Mentioned Robbie, then Xander pointed surprised at the upcoming teenager in a green suit.
"It's the guy Ayesha had put down," Xander warned watching the teenager order the crew to stop.
"Why is the kid running behind us, as if he had the power to stop us just like that?" Questioned Robbie watching Nick sigh and take out a gun from his pocket making Xander cover his mouth in shock as he saw, what his leader was going to do.
"Nick, tu hija!" Warned Bert watching Nick take a few steps forward to aim at the Swedish descendant boy, while far behind Holly came along limping a little from having hurt herself, afterward Bert yelled at his brother, which pulled the trigger, but shrieked at his brother's voice and watched only Parker yelp upon feeling something hit him, then he dropped down on the ground like a stone watching Xander gasp in shock from having witnessed a murder.
"Your daughter!" Warned Bert loud pointing uphill at a girl in a dress beginning to race faster toward the boy, making Nick furrow his eyebrows and shriek as he realized, his daughter indeed was around the area.
"Joder!" Complained Nick, then Bert made his way uphill leaving Nick back in shock. "Que estas haciendo?!" Questioned Nick loud watching the man run uphill, then Bert waved back at his brother.
"I will assume the guilt on me. Don't worry about me, leave along with the others;" Articulated Bert making Nick nod a little worried.
Up at the exit of the school, River appeared along with Michael and Ethan, then all gasped to see Parker lying on the ground and Holly making her way toward the friend.
"That really was a shot I heard, right?" Questioned Michael, while Ethan stood there paralyzed from seeing his friend on the floor.
"Parker is dead?" Asked Ethan shocked, while Michael placed his hand on the boy's shoulder, afterward River ran over the field to follow Holly, which limped hurt towards the girl, leaving the boys alone back.
"Hey! Get back! It's dangerous!" Cried Michael watching River catch up with the light-brunette girl and grabbed her by the arm. Holly got off the Irish girl's arms and made her way to Parker, then fell down on her knees beside the boy, then began to shake him on his back hoping to wake him up, afterward River got down as well to pull him aside, then found on his leg down the wound and passed her finger beside it to analyze the injury, finding it strange, that it didn't enter into his skin. River widened her eyes, then began to clap softly on Parker's face and noticed Holly with a rageful facial expression, then looked towards the side of where the criminals had left and began to curse.
"I hope you're happy now, dad! Parker's now dead because of you, all because you couldn't keep a promise not even for one time!"
River lifted her head curious at listening to Holly's words, then nudged her on the arm to see her breathing heavily from feeling enraged from, what happened.
"Your dad was there as well?" Questioned River, then both heard Parker groan and move his hands down at his leg to check out the pain.
"You're alive!" Announced Holly happily embracing the friend, which shrieked at her deed, afterward Bert Alto appeared by the hill to spot the trio on the ground, and afterward spotted River shriek at his appearance. Parker noticed Bert's arrival, then moved Holly away towards River, which grabbed the blonde by the arm.
"Stay back, he might be dangerous," Warned Parker getting up, followed by a yelp, afterward Holly reached out to help his friend stand and River got up as well, then got in front of Parker and Holly to stand up for them slightly shaky from hiding fear from the villain.
"You're not scaring us," Warned River, then Holly began to speak at her uncle serious.
"Uncle Bert. How can you work for someone like my dad?" Questioned Holly, then Bert approached the trio watching Parker step back in fear along with River.
"Holly, I know, that what we do is bad," Bert commented. "Mostly, what your dad did. I warned him about you, but he didn't react,"
"He almost killed my friend. Luckily, he missed!" Warned Holly, then River shook her head.
"I don't think he used a right bullet. There's no damage on his leg, at least ones I've seen in movies," Mentioned River, then Bert looked down at Parker's leg and River got down to rip off open the part, where Parker got shut to show Bert, that Parker only was wounded, by something different, rather than a real bullet.
"Nick didn't use a real bullet. I know he's able to take people down when it's necessary in his eyes, but he wouldn't dare to put down a child or a youngling around your age," Stated Bert making Holly cross her eyes and look away from the uncle.
By the exit of the school, appeared Blair Wainwright in her dress with a gun, followed by a policeman, while behind them stood Davy Linnell along with the principal and two other teachers.
"Hands up in the air, where we can see them!" Ordered the policeman, then Holly gasped, then looked at her uncle, which looked at the police along with the two other teenagers.
"If your dad asks, I…...said I was the one, who hurt your friend," Bert said making Holly drop her mouth and shake her head.
"But it's not your fault," Holly mentioned earning a nod from Bert.
"I know, but…...I have screwed up my entire life anyway," Commented Bert, then heard the cop yell again making Holly get teary about knowing that her uncle was going to land in jail. Bert raised his hands up in the air, then moved towards the cops slowly. "I'm moving on," Mentioned Bert, then the three cops approached the man slowly and Principal Langerak ran around along with the two teachers to check on the three teenagers, then the principal hugged his nephew tightly and looked down at the boy's leg, where one of the teacher's had already put her hands on to analyze the injury.
"I think he was hit by a training munition. I suggest we still bring him into the hospital," Suggested the teacher, then looked at the other teacher chatting with River, which stood there neutral, while Holly looked saddened at Bert standing near the exit and Blair got around him and took his arms down behind his back to lock the hands with his handcuffs.
"Officer Keaton announced to have called force and ordered us to stay inside the building until everything is clear. One of the police can also aid out with Parker before we can bring him to the hospital," Mentioned Principal Langerak, then watched Bert Alto look back at Hogan's dinner to see behind it on the road two ambulances leave heading towards the hills, where the Villa Alto was located and dropped his mouth to see, they were leaving now without him. Bert heard one of the police take his walkie-talkie to contact another officer to inform about the next steps.
"Here's officer Rose, one suspect is caught. Two suspicious ambulances just left Hogan's dinner. They seemed to have the same colorings as the ones, that went missing in Twinbrook," Stated the police officer making Bert surprised.
"How did they know?" Questioned Bert quietly, then Blair whispered into his ears to provide him the solution, he didn't really ask for.
"Perhaps your team should have looked for a better way to distract a professional or maybe assure the area they're robbing doesn't have a surveillance camera," Blair pointed out, making Bert drop his mouth at the dumb mistake, that was made.
The ambulances drove the road up, with Ayesha being on the front leading the way of the gang out of the town, then glimpsed in the side mirror to see a police car had just appeared with its sirens on coming after the ambulance making Ayesha groan.
"Honestly this would all have been perfect with the ambulances, but it seems, that it didn't go…...crap!" Cried Ayesha followed by Xander shrieking as they saw on the next road a car get in their way and Ayesha crashed against the vehicle.
"The right side had priority," Complained Xander adjusting himself back up on the seat, while Ayesha looked annoyed at the driver from the other car.
"In a police escape, the rules don't count for us!" Commented Ayesha annoyed at the accident, then looked at the side mirror to see Nick get off the ambulance, while Don on the inside moved out from the other side to see Nick ran past the transporter and Ayesha opened the window to stop Nick.
"We're fine, don't worry," Commented Ayesha earning eye contact from her boss, afterward both watched from the black car a man in a science coat step out of the vehicle to look at Nick standing there.
"I didn't hear any sirens, I swear!" The light-blonde man said shocked, making Nick frown and take out his gun and point at the vehicle.
"Back to the vehicle, now!" Ordered Nick watching Boys gasp and get back into the car hidding his head down under the seat, so he could only see his back from the outside. NIck smashed the door close, afterward recognized the sirens of the police and gasped from hearing them now, making Nick drop his mouth and look back along with Ayesha, which tried to put the engine on again. A police car pulled aside to stop on top of the grass to prevent the ambulance to be able to leave forward, then out of the vehicle stepped out the redheaded police agent Xander met a while ago together with a light-blonde policeman both sticking out their guns off their belt.
"Hands up, where I can see them!" Ordered the blonde, watching Ayesha drop her chin and exchange looks with Xander, which was surprised, that that seemed the end of their road.
