Voices Beneath These Feelings
Everything Elsa did she poured her heart and soul into. Every task, every obligation, every hobby, every person that was important to her, Elsa vowed to let them in, to be open and honest and to try for them.
Among those people was Honeymaren, who she'd felt an odd attraction towards when she began to know her better. Elsa was no stranger to sexual desires but they never manifested toward another person before. What made it even weirder was that as comfortable as she was with various acts of intimacy the thought of actually dating Honeymaren sent cold shivers down her spine, the kind she though she was immune to because of her powers.
"Earth spirit to Elsa, hey." Honeymaren's voice pierced through Elsa's thoughts. She blinked and saw the warrior hovering above her, in a partial state of undress, much like Elsa herself. She looked at Elsa with concern and worry.
"Why did you stop?" Elsa raised herself on her elbows, thinking that maybe there was something wrong. Had she frozen the bed again? No, Honeymaren barely even touched her and she was getting batter at controlling her powers in... those moments.
Honeymaren scratched her cheek with her finger, "You just looked like you were deep in thought that's all. What were you thinking about?"
"You." Elsa said without a moment of hesitation. Honeymaren't features relaxed, now adopting a knowing smirk, "But also me." Elsa spoke before she could be pushed back down, "Us, I guess. Nevermind, its no big deal."
Now it was Honeymaren's turn to interrupt Elsa before she could be pulled into a kiss, "It clearly is if it's enough to distract you from my amazing skills. Which you've literally screamed about before." Even if Elsa wanted to deny it she would be lying.
She was quite loud.
"Maren it's just..." Elsa sighed heavily and curled up into a ball. She nodded toward her left side and Honeymaren was there in a second, hand around Elsa's shoulder to keep her warm. Well warmer. "Are you happy with what we have?"
"Of course. Would I be with you if I wasn't? You're an amazing person Elsa, I've never been happier." It was very endearing how Honeymaren always thought to comfort Elsa because she was well aware how quickly the former Queen could spiral downward into doubt and self-loathing.
It made Elsa feel safe enough to open up, even about this, "But are you happy with us... staying friends. Anna told me that friends don't have sex, and I feel like I know that, however I also feel like I don't want to be... what Anna and Kristoff are."
Honeymaren was silent for a while. She never pulled away, she never stopped rubbing soothing circles on Elsa's shoulder. After what felt like an eternity of silence she spoke up, "We don't have to be. I told you, I'm happy with what we have. You've done so much for me, I feel so lucky to have met you, not because of you helping my tribe but because you're you Elsa. And yeah sometimes I think I'd want to tell everyone about us and how happy we are, at the same time I feel like that would be overstepping on my part and making this relationship to be more then it is. I love being your friend, if you want to be friends who occasionally blow each others minds with sex then yeah, I'll be that for you, for as long as you'll have me."
"You're really okay with that? With just this, and me?" Elsa looked at her for the first time since this conversation started.
"I am. I know you like me. And I like you. How we like each other and why is no one's business." Honeymaren kissed Elsa on the cheek, rewarded by being pushed on her back with a little oof. "This is one way of showing you like me." She winked up at Elsa who ran her hand through her platinum blonde hair, by some magic making it look even softer than it was.
By the time Honeymaren was done every part of Elsa's perfect, poise demeanor would melt away.
